Careerist

I came across Careerist in 2019 but I did not join the bootcamp then. Then in 2021, I came across a Careerist ad on Facebook and joined right away. The trainers all work in the industry (many different courses are offered) so they share real life experiences. The classes are live and the live classes are recorded and available for all students, especially those who cannot join a live class and those who want to review the material later. Internship then follows after completing the course in order to gain first hand experience in the chosen career field. Finally, a mentor is assigned to every student, interview prep, LinkedIn prep and resume prep is provided. All the mentors are very knowledgeable in one's field of study. Tips on how to maximize chances of landing an interview for job seekers is provided. Job applicants can opt to use Job Application Services, if they prefer to pay for the course over time after landing a job. Continuous dedicated support is provided by a team that answers all the questions that job applicants may have as they interview for positions. This support is still available even after landing a job. 

The training provided is so good that when I landed a job after the training, the recruiter bumped my pay in the very first interview that I had with her. I later discovered that that was the top pay for the position. 

I recommend Careerist to anyone looking for training that is provided by a dedicated team that wants you to succeed and one that walks with you, hand in hand, until you land a job and after. Careerist changed my life.  Read less

I recently attended a this boot camp and I can confidently say that it was one of the best decisions I've ever made for my career. From start to finish, the boot camp exceeded my expectations in every way.


First of all, the instructors were incredibly knowledgeable and experienced in the tech industry. They were patient, kind, and always willing to answer questions and help students understand challenging concepts. They also made the learning experience fun and engaging, which helped to keep me motivated throughout the program.


The curriculum was also top-notch. It was well-structured and covered a wide range of topics in depth, from coding languages to software development methodologies. Another thing that impressed me about the boot camp was the sense of community it fostered. The staff and students were all supportive of one another and eager to help each other succeed. The boot camp also provided ample opportunities for networking and connecting with professionals in the tech industry.


Overall, I would highly recommend this tech boot camp to anyone looking to break into the tech industry or advance their career in tech. I recently completed a boot camp course in wa and I must say it was an amazing experience. The curriculum was well-structured and the instructors were knowledgeable and supportive. The course was challenging but rewarding and I learned a lot of new skills that have helped me in my career. Careerist is a great reputable online boot camp, that offers hands on training, the instructors are great, informative and most of all they want to see you succeed . Overall I think that the course curriculum is easy to follow, convenient for those of us who have busy schedules. So many great things to say about Careerist, all of the instructors were personable, if you had questions, they got answered very quickly, which is an A+ for me as far as customer service . The course was very well organized and an online access made it so flexible and easy to combine with the my schedule. They also provided a recording for every lesson and you can always go back to it. Lessons are very structured and information is easy to follow. Instructors were great, very knowledgeable and always open to questions. I have finished the course work, and internships. Staff are pleasant, helpful, and don’t make you feel like your dumb. I love the the class is recorded so that you can always go back to it. I hate that my class was so big though it was over 100 ppl. The internship was ok. I wish I had more problem solving situations but I did learn a lot and meant great people. I am now at the mentor stage and soon onto my new job. Read less

When I first heard about Careerist, I knew this was the career path for me. Not being current on tech, I had my husband, who teaches Computer Science at a college level, review the Careerist website. He told me that it would be a good opportunity and experience. 

After signing up, I found that being able to watch the lessons on your own schedule & pace was so helpful, not to mention being able to go back and rewatch them to fill in any blanks. This has been an easy course that is completed within a short amount of time, which fits my needs very well. Once the training has been completed, you jump right in to the internship, one internal, one external.  The hands-on experience with real companies and daily stand-up meetings has been practical experience that boosted my confidence greatly in my ability to be successful in a job from the start. I received great instruction and feedback from the Leads on test cases and bug reports, which helped me improve the quality of my work quickly.

It would help if the instructors would read the questions from the chat messages very clearly. You can only get the gist of what the question is and fully understanding the answer if they do that, as you can't see the chat in the lesson replays. It would have been good to get hands-on experience with other aspects of manual QA like API and ChromeDev Tools.
 
I am very much looking forward to working with my mentor and the job preparation and search process in a week or so. Read less

I am currently a student at Careerist and at first I did not know what to expect from a program that is tailored specifically for the Sales Engineer role. But as I move through the course I find myself more motivated and confident in my ability to fill this role in tech. The information that is being given is priceless, from real industry professionals with 20 plus years in the industry. They are giving you real life tidbits you can use to stand out in the application/interview process. These are the things that you can not learn in a book or on Youtube. Being able to interact and ask questions to the instructors as well as your 1:1 mentor assures that you receive the help and answers you need.  Read less

This was a great learning experience and my mentor was wonderfully helpful with any problems I encountered along the way. This is something that I believe everyone should go through if they really want to learn how to be a manual QA Engineer because it helped me prepare for everything you will experience as a QA in the tech industry.  I came across Careerist after researching  career fields where you make a good income and not stressful. I saw different courses however Careerist stood out to me.  I decided to invest in myself and I took the leap and signed up. I will have to say I'm happy with my decision so far. The support  team at Careerist are great .  
      They respond quickly when you have any question or having technical issues. My mentor was very active in my job search  and stayed in contact with me on a every other week basis because that's what I preferred. It was very accommodating with my schedule.  If you're on the fence I would say take the leap and invest in yourself! Careerist will give you the basics however you're going to have to put in the work like anything else in life.  Read less

I was looking to break into Tech and I heard so many good things about Careerist so, I decided to get into their Manual QA program. The classes are at night 3 days a week which is great for people that work during the day and looking to pivot into Tech. Overall I liked everything that the program had to offer: the learning portion with the various instructors, the internship to help gain hands-on experience, and the mentorship to help you gain confidence and assistance during the job process. I definitely recommend the Manual QA program with Careerist! Read less
