SheCodes Basics Reviews

When i joined SheCodes basic, I had never taken a coding class before and was really worried if i would manage. However, Matt and the SheCodes team have made the experience really vivifying. The slack channel was always available whenever i needed help and I'm now looking forward to joining the next SheCodes program. I highly recommend anyone with interest in becoming a developer to join SheCodes.”

I initially thought it was going to be daunting to learn how to code but it ended up being enjoyable. I won't lie it would get challenging but through doing my own research and the help of the Slack community, I would quickly overcome the challenge. The study material is spaced in such a way that you can take in a good amount of information in one video. The challenges were how I got to practice what I have learned and more. I thoroughly enjoyed working on the different elements in my own time, saves me from anxiety. Thank you Matt and the SheCodes team! 1000/10!

SheCodes 100% definitely is the best coding workshop out there! Before starting SheCodes basics I thought I would feel discouraged or disinterested after the first week but it was completely the opposite. Throughout the course I was engaged and motivated to challenge myself and complete the tasks. The challenges and videos made coding feel so much more easier and it helped me stay on track. One thing I loved about the workshop is that I could go back to any lesson which I didn't fully understand and work on the challenges at any time of the day which is extremely useful for people who are busy. I've learnt so much from Matt and can't wait to begin SheCodes Max! 😇

The SheCodes Basic workshop is a fantastic way to get started in the world of Web Development. Coming from an education background myself, I really enjoyed Matt's teaching style and the way the workshop was broken down into fun and interactive chunks. This made it simple to follow and easier to understand the more challenging concepts. The workshop is very well organised and help is always at hand via the Slack communities. I really enjoyed creating my own website via the final project and can't wait to get started on the SheCodes Plus Workshop! Thank you Matt & team!

I'm delighted to share a brief testimonial about my journey in learning coding basics at Shecodes. My coding journey began as a complete beginner with no technical background. Initially, coding seemed intimidating, but I was determined to learn. I found excellent online resources and mentors who guided me along the way. As I progressed, coding became a puzzle-solving adventure. Each project I tackled provided a sense of accomplishment and boosted my motivation. Coding isn't just about languages; it's about problem-solving and creativity.

“Hi I am one of the participants of SheCodes I applied and was answered a week later really I have now finished one workshop of sheCodes basics really I have learnt a lot from them now I am able to design a webpage in the way I want. Really it's amazing I like it, before I knew only little about html I didn't know about CSS and java script and now I can try and do more. And the amazing part is that I have finished the workshop in a few days without spending on it all 3 weeks. I liked it. Thanks again for all”

SheCodes makes what we "ladies" think impossible, possible. The mix of learning a new technology that fits for purpose and create something from scratch was exciting to me. The courses are on-demand meaning you can access any time, any where. Great workshop, fantastic pedagogy!! Matt gradually explains HTML,CSS and JS steps with lots of tips and tricks. I really enjoyed it, thank you SheCodes team!🌹

The pace of this workshop was perfect for my needs and I learnt so much with Matt! The introduction to JavaScript was by far my favorite part because it was a bit challenging at moments, but that only encourages me to keep learning so I can gain even more experience and improve my coding skills!I recommend this workshop to all women who want to take their first steps into tech and have zero knowledge because Matt doesn't overwhelm you with lots of info from the get-go. He really takes you slowly through it and provides lots of examples too! Also, at the end of each lesson you have small challenges, which allow you to practice all the time :)I just started the SheCodes Pro workshop and I'm SO looking forward to continue with the rest!

Thanks to SheCodes, I learned more than I expected and I feel confident that I can apply what I learned. The course was very well-structured and informative. Matt is a true expert in the field and he is passionate about sharing his knowledge with coders in a way that his passion is contagious. I'm very happy I was admitted to this course and I can't wait to continue learning. Best experience ever !

“As someone without any tech background or coding experience, I found that the SheCodes Basics course gave me all of the necessary information to understand the fundamentals of web development. It was a fun, and sometimes challenging course that gave me the basic elements of front end development. Matt is a great teacher and he explains everything with detail that is easy to understand. I can't wait to continue learning with the rest of the SheCodes bootcamps!” I am doing the SheCodes Max program and I am looking forward towards a new career path when I graduate from the program.

I have really enjoyed SheCodes so far! I love that it feels as if they thought of any possible event/question that you might have and gave you the tools to overcome them before you even had to reach out for help! Matt is also incredibly good at explaining things simply and logically, which makes learning much more enjoyable. I used to see coding as something only a few (that had studied for years and years) could understand, but thanks to SheCodes, now I know that if you have the right people to teach you and have your heart set to learn it, you can start understanding a few things since day 1!

As an absolute beginner who a has huge appetite for a career in tech but doesn't have an idea how or where to start from, I stumbled on SheCodes foundation on google through my search for a perfect place where I could satisfy my appetite at my own pace. With just three weeks of learning, I could develop a basic landing and interactive page using html, CSS and JavaScript. The workshops are simplified, practical and very easy to grasp even without any background in IT. I have already recommended it to my friends who have interest in tech careers.”
