SheCodes Basics Reviews

SheCodes Basic course is a great initial step not only for me but also for a lot of other women. Each lesson was designed with a suitable duration and really helpful challenges that will help learners review what was taught, research more information and gain more knowledge. Besides, Matt is a wonderful teacher. The way he teaches and explains is truly intelligible. Thank SheCodes so much! I will try my best to learn upcoming courses.

“I was skeptical with how quickly or proficiently I could learn HTML, CSS, and JS in just 3 short weeks....I am pleasantly happy to share that it is possible! I take each lesson day by day and personally decide where I need to spend more time learning. I love this flexibility. If you need more time, they are accommodating but still have high expectations for completion. The final project was so much fun and I enjoyed my time creating my own site about cavapoos! I highly recommend. I will be moving on to the next part of the course and I am excited to continue this journey.” 

I really enjoyed the three weeks course and found it a great introduction to the world of coding, which seemed so alien to me before starting. I really like the format of the course, with instruction videos and challenges so that you get to practice the new skill you just learnt. I also appreciated how I could go at my own pace but still had the incentive of a deadline for the homework each week. Having the slack community was also great. Knowing that you are learning together with others can be very motivating.

I didn't think I would be able to complete the course, or at least not very well, but the way it is instructed by Matt, and the allowance to take it all in you own time, in small or large chunks is very helpful! The videos make it easy to go back to something you learned before if you get stuck, and the online support system on Slack is amazing. I feel much more confident and better equipped now that I have completed the course! I plan to take more courses with SheCodes now and gain a better future! Thank you so much <3

This was an excellent workshop. I found the teaching and resources to be of fantastic quality. The instructions were clear to follow, it was all broken down into bite-sized chunks that were easy to understand and then practise. It builds up your knowledge gradually and your confidence grows with each step. Honestly, one of the best courses I've done (and I've done a few!) Cannot wait to do the next course. 

I joined SheCodes to have a first experience in coding as recommended by some friends. Matt is an excellent professor and it's amazing to have such a strong support from the SheCodes team whenever I got stuck in coding. I also loved the other SheCodes tools such as the Radio, the Color Wheel, the Gradient Wheel, among many others. What started as curiosity has totally become a real interest in coding and I'll certainly be joining other SheCodes Workshops to improve my coding skills 👩‍💻 

I took an intro course to coding (html, css, JavaScript). I am a total beginner who was always curious what coding it. Prior to this course I  tried to learn by reading books and watching videos but nothing made sense.  Matt and his team are very friendly. The course has dead lines but they are very flexible. You can always get an extension if something is going wrong and you cant finish on time. I also enjoyed a radio that Matt has on his website!Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to know what coding is and how it works! I will be back to take SheCodes Pro.
