SheCodes Basics Reviews

Shecodes was a great experience.  It was taught in small manageable chunks that built on the previous days learning and provided great hands on opportunities to try the skills that were taught.  I took this course because I am a teacher in Ontario Canada.  The province has recently added coding to the curriculum and I was nervous about teaching something that I didn't know anything about. So I took this course to get a solid understanding. Now I feel much more comfortable with the subject and confident enough to talk to my students about how cool coding is. I'm so glad that I took this course, for such a reasonable price too. 

Loved SheCodes Basic! Short and straightforward videos with clear explanations and simple examples specifically designed training material for beginners and advanced students alike. Extra info with links at the bottom of each video where you can learn more. Who knew that it would be more difficult to decide on the colors you want to use for your final project than the coding part itself 😅. Good thing Matt has a solution for that too with SheCodes Color Palettes and CSS Gradients. Thank you Matt & SheCodes team!

I barely finished SheCodes Basic workshop and I cannot wait to start the next one. I truly enjoyed everything about it! The weekly homework made me repeat what I've learned and also pushed me into searching other videos on Youtube and learning more in-depth. It's been a month since I started passing SheCodes, a well-structured easy to understand coding program, that keeps you learn more and more day by day, and it's interesting so far! I've learned so much that already can create a small website about anything! Furthermore, I can't wait to see what I'll create in a year with SheCodes. I'm looking forward to passing all the levels and being able to create an animated website or even an online shop. Thanks, Matt, for the provided opportunity!

SheCodes Basic is a great journey in itself. I loved the way workshops are structured with challenges that give ideas for using the learnings from workshops on our own. I have learned so much about HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in just 3 weeks. It's all about Learning by doing. After finishing SheCodes Basic I am feeling confident in my learning. I really enjoyed being part of this journey and looking ahead to more.

I had always thought that coding and programming languages were so difficult and totally un-learnable, but only 3 weeks in my coding journey and I can't believe I am totally killing it! They teaching videos are so simplified and easy to grasp. The challenges after each lesson encourages practices and mastery and are fun to do. They projects are a total game-changer. I started this journey wanting to learn something new, but not really knowing what to expect. This is only the beginning, but I am proud of what I have accomplished and learned in such little time. SheCodes has an amazing community of empowered women and I am so grateful to Matt Delac and his team for creating such an amazing platform for us. I enjoyed taking this workshop. Matt explains everything in much detail and he is easy to follow. I was able to work at my own pace and received much help from classmates and SheCodes staff through Slack. All reference material was accessible at the press of a button if I ever found myself stuck in any particular section of my projects. This workshop was easy to follow, easy to complete, fun, informative, innovative, and encouraging.
