Joining TripleTen's QA Engineering course marked a significant shift from my background in restaurant customer service to the tech industry. It was a decision that brought a unique set of challenges and opportunities.
Balancing the course with full-time work required a disciplined approach, dedicating evenings and weekends to study. This wasn’t just about learning new concepts; it was an immersive experience that demanded both commitment and passion.
What stood out for me at TripleTen were the practical projects. These weren't mere academic exercises but rather real-world simulations that honed my problem-solving skills. Tackling these projects provided not only a deep understanding of QA principles but also a tangible sense of achievement.
The community aspect of TripleTen was particularly valuable. Interaction with peers and mentors created a supportive learning environment, essential for navigating complex topics. Tools like ChatGPT supplemented this support, offering additional assistance when needed.
A significant part of my journey involved maintaining an active LinkedIn profile, a strategy that proved crucial in my job search. Regularly updating my profile with projects and skills gained through the course enhanced my visibility and connectivity in the tech industry.
Overall, TripleTen provided a comprehensive platform for transitioning into the tech world. It offered a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical experience, set within a supportive community. For those considering a career shift into tech, TripleTen offers a solid foundation to build upon.

I recently completed the TripleTen course and am eager to share my experiences. The course was a comprehensive journey that went beyond my expectations. While no course is perfect, the material and platform at TripleTen are exceptional, offering a blend of in-depth learning and practical application.
One of the standout features was the Career Acceleration part, which provided invaluable insights and strategies for job searching. Although I'm not based in the US and couldn’t take full advantage of their American market-specific resources, the coaching sessions I received were instrumental in my job search process. The support team deserves a special mention for their prompt and effective assistance, often resolving issues within a few hours.
The money-back guarantee for US residents and the regular offer of externships are other commendable aspects. In my case, participating in an externship directly contributed to landing a job within a few months of an earnest job search.
I highly recommend this course, especially for those looking for a comprehensive data analysis program with robust career support, regardless of whether they are in the US or not. The skills and insights gained here are universally applicable and can significantly boost your job prospects. -

I’ve been trying to learn coding for some time, mostly on my own. I explored various ‘Intro to IT’ marathons and a ton of free online courses. I learned here and there, on and off, over the course of 2 years.
By 2023, I started thinking about trying a bootcamp, especially after hearing numerous success stories from friends and YouTubers. There are tons of bootcamps, so picking one wasn't easy. I wanted one with good job support, real project work, and a decent price. That led me to Triple Ten. They had a deal with Women Who Code, so I got half off.
So far, I'm halfway through the program. I like that they use unique studying materials and the whole process is divided into sprints, so it feels like a real job in IT. They've got this system that checks our code automatically; however, the human touch isn't lost – real people also check every line of code. At first, getting feedback was hard, but now it's cool, and I'm looking forward to every review. I can definitely tell my skills are growing, as well as my self-confidence. Moreover, the community is incredibly supportive. Tutors, coaches, and other students are ready to help in the Discord chat. I also like the coding sessions and office hours where we can talk about our projects and get help with coding problems. I especially like opportunities to collaborate with other students. In December 2023, we had Code Jam, where we worked with students from other programs. I'm sure that my GitHub and LinkedIn will be full of cool projects that I will show to my future employer

When I made the decision to do a career change, I compared about 10 different bootcamps based on factors such as: duration, guarantees, pricing, reviews, resources available like tutors, and the curriculum. TripleTen (back then practicum) had high scores on all these, so went with them. They’ve been really structured, engaged, supportive, and amazing so far.
I have a full time job so it was important that the program allows self pace, and so far it’s been great. I study after work Mon-Fri, and 8 hrs on a sat or sun.
My favorite features of the program: interactive tasks for theory practice with feedback, real practice on assigned projects, career acceleration program/guarantee, and the availability of tutoring sessions (I’m able to hop on at nights AND on weekends!).

This course is it! Rewarding, Challenging, Flexible, Affordable, & Thorough. After years of wanting to break into the field of computer software, & months of research TripleTen checked all my needed requirements. I needed an affordable option that prepared me for a future career as a Software Engineer & open the doors into the industry. Between juggling work & family needs time is valuable, the course allows you to work around & with these schedules. I dedicate at the minimum of 15 hours a week, & usually try for 20 - 25 hours to complete the theory & projects. The course is very thorough, I am almost half way through as I write this & HTML, CSS, JavaScript & many other development tools are taught & used with even more as I will progress. There is a community of students, alumni, tutors, & career coaches that work together, encourage, & support students with the course & for future success. The tutors are extremely versed with the course & provide the needed education beyond what the theory already covers & have been available as I have needed at different times through out the day & night. This program comes with career support assistance & begins quite early on in the course preparing you for interviews & networking to add to the knowledge you receive for the job you will actually want. This is a challenging course that helps actually learn & not just provide the answers. After completing each project the knowledge gained is rewarding knowing how far you are from the beginning. I would advise anyone thinking about joining or a similar career path to do it, & use everything the course & community offers, I am glad I did. -

Great Experience and a Push in the right Direction for QA Engineering

I chose the QA Engineering track as a way to bolster my current experience within QA work, and to get more relevant knowledge and experience with coding/software QA work. After reviewing a few different options, that were extremely code-heavy and costly, I found tripleten. The initial conversation I had with the guidance team was very promising and reassuring, so I took the leap and started the QA track. After finishing the course the assistance through the career acceleration program has been extremely helpful. Compared to the assistance you receive from college post-graduation, TripleTen works with you 1-on-1 to make sure your resume best reflects your skills and stands out from the rest. I've recommended this to a few people already. -

Hello there I hope this blesses whoever reads it!
I decided to learn business analytics more than a year ago, and this is where my search began. I've always loved business and rapport-building customer service but didn't see how that could be applied to a technical field, well I am glad I found TripleTen. It has helped me understand how businesses use analytics to make decisions and how producing these results is a form of serving customers - I enjoy talking to people very much but also LOVE a challenge. My biggest fear was Excel (even got laid off from a job for not understanding it) and TripleTen helped break down these harder concepts into step-by-step walkthroughs while also still challenging you. Their program is also for the busy bees - whether you have kids, work full time, and or go to school, I found the curriculum manageable and the team super helpful whenever you needed assistance. I put in 20 hours of work every week, sometimes a bit less (depending on my week's schedule) but it's all about applying yourself to the process and trusting it. There are sometimes when things are going to get hard but if you reach out for help, they'll be able to assist you, especially during co-working hours. Unlike other boot camps I researched before joining TripleTen, the program is fully remote and super affordable and the value you get in return makes the investment worth it. My favorite part of the BootCamp was the end projects of each sprint. Although dreadful at first, once I reached out to the community and saw the previous interactions with tutors from other student discussions I was able to piece together each project, which ultimately led to a great portfolio. The program has much more to offer but these are the highlights that I found worth mentioning. I am currently completing my final project and I look forward to adding this to my portfolio as well.
Lastly, I've learned that coding is not only for those with the technical expertise or background. I come from a retail background with a degree in psychology, I am planning to use what I learned in TripleTen to join a team that cares about what I am passionate about. If you love business and you're curious, I'll recommend giving TripleTen a shot, and if you're stuck on the fence about whether to dive into data analytics regardless - please do it. Your future self would thank you! -

Affordable, Flexible and Commitment to Their Students

Why did I choose TripleTen for my coding journey? I did some research and wanted a platform that stood out in the coding education crowd. As a graduate of another coding BootCamp, I can personally appreciateTripleTen's commitment to their curriculum and students, which exceeded my previous experience. TripleTen's program was thorough, affordable and flexible. In contrast to my previous BootCamp experience, TripleTen's curriculum and career program was all about making sure I'm set for success. The promise of landing a job within six months of graduation or your money back is a huge plus, and not something a lot of boot camps offer. When it comes to education, TripleTen doesn't just stand out in terms of flexibility and support; it's a game-changer in affordability and content quality. The courses dive deep into the intricacies of QA Engineering, ensuring that graduates aren't just equipped with the basics but emerge as knowledgeable professionals ready for the industry's demands. TripleTen has cracked the code, providing a top-notch education without breaking the bank. It's a testament to their commitment to making quality coding education accessible to all.
Now, some detailed information about my journey at TripleTen. I started with the Front-End program earlier this year, I believe it was around April. Like I mentioned, I've graduated from another BootCamp last year, and that one was also Front-End. TripleTen compared to the other BootCamp (which shall not be named haha) was amazing. I have some knowledge about programming, so when I started TripleTen's program I was impressed by the quality and detailed information, some of which was new, even in the first project. It was a challenging curriculum, but of very high quality. I decided a few weeks into that program that I wanted to make the switch into tech asap (I hated my customer service job and wanted out), so I switched to QA - which is basically testing the software instead of being the one writing it.
TripleTen accommodated me seamlessly. There was no big deal; I didn't have to pay even more money to switch, and it didn't take a lot of time either. Coming from the Front-End program, I knew that QA would be a shorter program; however, TripleTen clearly put the same amount of detail and dedication into the curriculum to ensure I was set up for success, no matter which program I chose.
TripleTen's features are pretty straightforward, which made it easy to just focus on learning. It's like a user-friendly tour guide for coding. The interactive learning platform doesn't just throw theory at you; it lets you play with it. This is important because coding isn't some kind of theory; you need to be actually coding to learn how to code.
With that in mind, learning with TripleTen isn't your typical classroom scene. Don't expect someone standing at the front of the class and a room full of people taking notes. It's more like a straightforward dive into the curriculum, interactive platform, hands-on exercises, and projects – less like a lecture, more like a coding adventure. And that's the best way to learn to code. Not watching tutorials, but actually working in an IDE (like VSCode) to start coding yourself. For many of the lessons, TripleTen had a built-in IDE, so I didn't need to leave the platform, which was easy and convenient. Also, the built-in IDE was pretty good, so that's a plus. And it's all online, so you can complete the theory and projects without leaving home.
TripleTen also has a discord community. The Front-End program and the QA program each have their own, and I'm sure it's like that for each program. To be honest, the Front-End discord had way more going on, and the QA chat was quiet in comparison. But I wouldn't blame TripleTen for that; I think it's just a reflection of where the students are going, to Front-End instead of QA, so keep that in mind if you desire a large, active community discord. However, there are videos where the reviewers explain how to do some parts of the project, which was great because sometimes going from theory to the project can feel daunting. But, with the video reviews and the tutors who are available pretty much all day every day (they have a calendar you can check), you don't have to worry about the project being too difficult, although, expect it to make you think!
Thankfully, balancing a full-time job alongside the boot camp journey with TripleTen turned out to be surprisingly manageable, thanks to the flexibility of the program. The coursework, designed to fit into the nooks and crannies of a busy schedule, allowed me to seamlessly integrate learning into my daily routine. What made the journey even smoother was the constant encouragement and support from my success manager. Their motivation and regular check-ins became a driving force, turning potential challenges into achievable milestones. The combination of a flexible program and a supportive mentor made the balancing act not just doable but a genuinely enriching experience. As I navigated the intricacies of coding and the demands of a full-time job, the journey felt less like a tightrope walk and more like a guided marathon toward success.
If you find yourself in the shoes I once wore, discontent with a job that's more of a daily grind than a passion, TripleTen might just be your next step. I was stuck in a job I loathed, looking for a way out that wouldn't demand at least 4 years of education and the hefty price tag. That's when I stumbled upon TripleTen. It wasn't just another boot camp; it was a ticket to a career shift without the prolonged academic timeline. The unique flexibility and hands-on approach make learning practical and applicable, a refreshing departure from traditional education. TripleTen isn't just about coding; it's about unlocking a door to a realm of opportunities. The supportive community, real-world projects, and career guidance ensure you're not just learning; you're gearing up for success in the real-world tech landscape.
As of this review, I have one last project left in the QA program, and I've learned so much in a relatively short amount of time. Also, the price was affordable; I didn't even need to take a loan, so I'm graduating debt-free, which is basically impossible for any traditional educational program. Everyone I came into contact with at TripleTen was on my side and knowledgeable. If I could go back and choose TripleTen instead of wasting my time and money at the other BootCamp, I would. The career program is sure to be a game-changer and the 6-month job or money back guarantee is one less thing to worry about. If you're on the fence, I say take the leap. The time will pass anyway, and with the money-back guarantee, you're in good hands. Good luck! -

I joined TripleTen to make the jump into tech. I have a degree in marketing and have worked in multiple industries: retail, nightlife, education, and marketing. Since the pandemic, I've wanted to upskill to learn more hard skills to complement the soft skillset, but never found a way to gain these skills that felt right. As I'm sure you have, I was targeted for lots of Instagram Ads for Coding Bootcamps promising a life changing experience leading to a six figure career with no tech work experience. Not to mention my FYP was full of Bootcamp Ads. It always seemed like an option that wasn't truly obtainable. At least not obtainable for me. I always interacted with the ads, read their website, watched their videos, and even met with their recruiters.
However, TripleTen was different -- in a good way -- from the beginning. The payment plan, the different course options, the money back guarantee, the career services, and holistic approach to upskilling was the perfect mix for me. For the first time, it felt like the bootcamp was after more than just my tuition payment. It's been clear that TripleTen is truly here for me as a person, professional, and student. They are clearly building a community.
I chose the Business Intelligence Analyst (BIA) course because I'm not a huge fan of actual coding, but still wanted into the tech industry. With my background in marketing and work experience, BIA seemed like the perfect program for me to not only jump to tech but also best utilize the transferrable skills I've accumulated. Plus it's only 4 months! It only got better once I joined. The more I interacted with the curriculum and the TripleTen community on Discord (current students, former students, tutors, career coaches, community managers, and more), the more I knew I made the right decision.
The curriculum is easy to follow along with. The modules have a great mix of instruction and hands on examples to follow along with that wrap up with a robust project. The project not only reinforces the skills I'd just learned, but also gave me something great to add to my portfolio. Any time I needed help it was very simple to ask for it. I just asked the question in the appropriate channel on Discord and I got an answer or support in just a few hours.
The chapters and lessons are organized into two-week sprints with each of them focusing on a different aspect of BI. I've learned how to analyze and build data visualizations using Google Sheets, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI.
Weaved into the program were lessons on resume building, LinkedIn optimization, portfolio building, and other relevant soft skills necessary to not just start a new career but flourish in it.
10/10 would definitely recommend. -

I started my journey in December 2022. The decision to delve into software engineering was motivated by a desire for a career that offered intellectual challenges, continuous learning opportunities, and the chance to contribute to innovative solutions. I sought a field where creativity meets problem-solving, and software engineering appeared to be the perfect fit.
TripleTen stood out among the coding platforms for its holistic approach to learning. The platform provides a seamless blend of theory, extensive examples, and hands-on practice. Having no prior coding knowledge, I appreciated the structured curriculum and the ability to progress at my own pace. I organize my studying by dedicating a set number of hours each day, ensuring a balance between theory, practical exercises, and project work. The flexible nature of TripleTen's courses allows me to adapt my learning schedule to my needs.
The interactive platform offers a dynamic learning experience, with a diverse range of projects that enhance practical skills. The learning team and community support foster collaboration and knowledge sharing. Regular workshops provide valuable insights and keep me updated on industry trends. The supportive environment created by community managers adds a personal touch to the learning journey.

I started out at zero when it came to computer programming knowledge. And when I took the practice course it was fun. So I was excited to get accepted to the course here at TripleTen. At first it was easy. I was learning HTML and CSS and I was just coming to me and I was thinking this was going to be the easiest 9 month course. Boy was I wrong. Lol. JavaScript hit me like a brick wall. And that’s when the real studying started. It was tough but I had the help of tutors and community managers to keep me going. They were there every step of the way to insure my success. I have since learned so much more. I am now halfway through the final project working with a study buddy. Something that wasn’t available when I first started but is another great resource here at TripleTen that got added along the way. It’s great. While working through lessons, and projects you can bounce your thoughts off of each other. And if y’all can not figure it out together you just lost a message for the tutors. Everyone at TripleTen is always so helpful and committed to your success. I would recommend the software engineer course to anyone looking to learn something knew or advance your career. And I almost forgot the career acceleration program. They help you find a job your your money back! What better guarantee? You learn a knew trade that makes you more valuable in the job market and if they can not find you a job you get your money back as well. It’d a win win. -

I completed this TripleTen's Data Analytic Bootcamp Program in June 2023. I chose this bootcamp because I was looking for a bootcamp that has multiple projects and also this bootcamp was affordable. I completed multiple data analysis projects. In this process, my codes were reviewed by code reviewers. My experience with code reviewers was always good. Their suggestions and hints helped me to analyze the problems and solve them with confidence. They were able to review my code on time. Besides learning from the program’s learning materials, I cleared my doubts with TripleTen tutors. It was simple and easy to schedule a one-on-one meeting with tutors. During this program, I got all the required support from the TripleTen support team. When I had technical questions or doubts, I asked for help and got enough support from the technical team. In addition, I was happy to get support from academic advisors, career support, and resume reviewers. After graduating from this program, I was happy to use the resources provided in the TripleTen Career Page. All of these people from whom I got support were experts in their fields. They were above and beyond supporting me to learn. Whenever I had a question, I asked them, and I got my questions answered on time. I had to keep a gap while completing this bootcamp. I was able to come back and complete my program because TripleTen was flexible in making such arrangements. Most learning materials are Python-based. If you are interested in learning data analysis in Python, this bootcamp is suitable for you. It would be better if more topics were covered in SQL.

Choosing a Bootcamp was not easy, I'm not going to lie, but I was comparing several bootcamps to find out which one was best for me. I decided on the QA Engineer program because it seemed interesting and a way to get started in the world of technology. The program provides an essential education.
Triplete convinced me not only because of how flexible they are with schedules, but also because of how fast they are. They are attentive, they clarified my doubts, the payments are very flexible, and they also have a high rate of graduates who have found work after finishing. the program and if they don't, you will get your money back guaranteed. Another thing that caught my attention is that they have externships for work experience.
To study I try to do it after work, at least 3 hours a day or if I have free days I dedicate a little more time, I can say about 15 hours a week.
My TripleTen experience has been amazing! I love the interactive platform and the projects are my favorites, why? I like the idea of having to interact and put into practice what I have studied, when my project is correct it makes me want to move forward and not give up. The learning team and community are very supportive and helpful. I learned a lot from them. But overall, I'm really enjoying it! -

Hi, my friends! How are you doing? One of our tutors likes to greet students in this way before his tutor hours on Discord. Recently, some people around me asked me about how is my boot camp study so far. Actually, I was trying to give a specific talk about my journey, but I always stuck by the heavy and complicated projects on my hands. However, I am a person who likes to share good and positive things with people so that I want to tell my story here with you people. It's time to give a review for TripleTen now. Truly, it’s definitely worths to choose for the people who want to start a career in the tech field today. Frankly, I think it's way better than my journey of CS in UTD. It's been 7 months of studying at this bootcamp for its SE(software engineering) program, and I want to tell some real points that I have experienced from my Journey in Tripleten. First of all, we have a globe tutor team, which they could be in Russia, Germany, the U.S., or other countries while tutoring you. Because of this, you will be able to know different people and cultures behind them. Second, it has a very mature community system in Discord, there, students are divided by their study pace. For instance, I am currently studying on Sprint 8, so that I can only have access from the very beginning Demo project to Sprint 8. if you want to access the higher level Sprint, then you need to finish your current project successfully first, which means your project must be 100% qualified and then will be able to get approved by the reviewer team. Speaking of our reviewer team, I really want to send a big heart to them in person, because the strict process of review they had given me for each project shaped me to be a pro of SE gradually. Especially, the red comments and green comments guide me to realize my errors and how to improve my codes in a better way. In my impression, I still remember one of my projects which relates to the Responsive page of web development, the review stage took me 13 times to get approved at the end. 13 times, isn't it crazy? In the first 5 times, I was a little bit upset with the picky reviewers, but after reading on each of the comments they left below the errors, I started to sigh out in front of the computer, I definitely need these comments in my project, it helps me to identify that why my code is wrong and how I can improve it. Over time, I can see a big improvement in my code work, and it brings more confidence into my mind as well. Third, it's the on-demand questions answered in Discord. Once you post your question in the corresponding channel, you will get an answer from one tutor or two tutors quickly. and this amazing part always makes me feel like we are in a real tutor room of a college where it has a bunch of tutors sitting there and eyes searching those confused students. Additionally, we also have a bunch of pretty and passionate female community managers who always plan some amazing events in the virtual community. like the co-work session time, it gathers those boring and lonely souls together from the end of the internet and hangs out in the virtual world where the study vibe is so joyful and contagious. Fourth, the professional lecture we are using covers the full-stack knowledge and tasks throughout Project 1 to the last Project 16. In the lecture, you will see the author explains those boring and cold knowledge points in a lighthearted and humorous way. And it also has lots of amazing illustrations within each of the chapters. Fifth, the career channel that in Discord is the place to teach those ongoing students and graduates how to work on their resumes and interviews, and make sure they are get ready to be hired after graduating. Finally, except above 5 points, I personally want to thank our community manager Olya, who always pays attention to each small step I have achieved. Toast me when I get approved of the project, and encourage me when I doubt myself on coding. Truly, she is so responsible and sweet in my heart. Lastly, I want to tell you that I once an interior designer for over 10 years in the design field. After studying abroad in the U.S., I started to have a strong mind which told me to be an IT worker for the rest of my life here. Fortunately, I love everything about Coding and have so much passion for it every day. Indeed, not everyone likes to work with a computer every day. Meanwhile, you may have some different voices around you to tell you that coding is too hard and boring, plus, it will be easily replaced by the AI and Chatgpt shortly. Actually, these are the same things I had worried about before. However, I still think the tech field will have a high demand in the future since everything in our surrounding are fully high-tech, which requires tech people more than any era in the past. By the way, there is a dram I want to share with you. It happened two months before I settled down with Tripleten. Back then, I chose a three -months boot camp, which was named Great Learning. The reason I chose it is because it has a partnership with UT at Austin, and also the program is cloud computing. However, the sense of experience is bad and makes me really upset with it. Finally, I quit the boot camp after the first month of study. The reason I quit has three fatal reasons. First, it’s an Indian-based boot camp, so that it has to take Zoom meetings in the morning every day to balance the time zone between U.S. and Indian; Second, the students and teachers have a heavy accent in which is extremely hard to understand completely. As we know the program itself is hard enough, and now their accent makes it harder than ever; Third, the communication platform is WhatsApp, which is much unprofessional when compared to the Discord. Fourth, it lecture was full of pre-filmed videos, and it was hard to make me understand its concept as a complete beginner. Typically, it’s a self-taught lecture like others, all you can see from all of the videos is one Indian professor who works in UT at Austin McComb school as the lecture said. Overall, it’s really not for me. Based on my two times of boot camp experiences above, it should be a good reference to let people who are currently struggling with transitioning careers and choosing bootcamp. In conclusion, if you want to make a good income, and remote work at home, without age anxiety, and socialize issues, then the tech field might be a good decision to make. All in all, the threshold of the Tech field is quite higher than other fields, and you need to keep learning new things in this field later on. Based on all of these above, if you are ready, then take action to do it. If you are interested in #Tripleten after reading over my sharing, pls feel free to ask me for a referral code, which will help you save a lot of money from the tuition. -

Having the Freedom of Time

The biggest thing that brought me to TripleTen is that the only restriction is a due date. I don't have to attend classes or wake up at a given time to reach the bare minimum. I have work and other responsibilities in my life, so I didn't find it possible to dedicate a specific time to my education. I personally don't like physical or digital classes and lectures as most of the information goes over my head and I end up having to search up the material anyway, so TripleTen mastering the hands-off approach has made me a big fan.I've been wanting to become a Software Engineer for a good portion of my life, but the biggest setback was how costly education is. I didn't like the idea of paying all of this money for courses that I don't need and for textbooks that will be hardly used. TripleTen provides everything you need and if at any point the material becomes confusing or you don't understand the next step in the project, many instructors have office hours and even a calendar of their next meeting just to answer your questions. My favorite feature of TripleTen's Bootcamp is the Theory. Rather than throwing a bunch of lingo and words at you and then dumping a project on your lap, you instead get detailed explanations, videos, and an on-site program tool to practice the material. Whenever I get stuck on something, I refer back to the theory and everything I need is right there. TripleTen is certainly a difficult bootcamp, but they're very aware of this fact. They offer deadline extensions and even up to 3 months of a break, no questions asked. Once again, giving you that freedom of time if anything at all happens in your life that may get in the way of reaching your deadlines. If there was only one problem I had with TripleTen, it’s that they’re always upgrading. While this in of itself isn’t a bad thing and by far has brought new features I’m glad to be a part of, it just means that their old material becomes outdated and their new material is too clean, too untested. Fortunately for us we still have access to the old material and TripleTen will let you know when something noteworthy has changed and what we as the students should do about it. I love TripleTen and I would gladly recommend it to anyone interested in any of the courses they provide. -

Before I decided to pursue a career in software engineering I had very little exposure to coding, but to enter the field of software engineering was motivated by a combination of curiosity, and the constantly changing technological landscape. Before committing to TripleTen I researched and tried out a couple of different coding programs and I found it hard to keep up with the curriculum which gave me uncertainty about the course and where it was leading me to. I found that TripleTen was the program that could work for me because of how structured the course material is, the interactive learning platform, the learning community, the career focus, and the assistance and mentorship that they provide.
-Interactive Learning Platform: It was revolutionary to be able to code directly in the browser get immediate feedback and track my progress in real time making the learning process engaging and efficient. The project-based learning corresponded wonderfully with my learning style. By creating practical applications, I was able to put my academic knowledge to use in actual situations, making difficult topics understandable and approachable. It allows students to apply theoretical information to real-world settings, resulting in a better grasp of topics.
-Support from the Community: The support community on TripleTen is a great source of ideas and help not just from tutors and community managers, a supportive environment was created by the willingness of other students to share their knowledge and experiences. Even though I have not fully used all that TripleTen has to offer I believe activity groups promoted a sense of community and camaraderie among students. Peer collaboration on coding projects and challenges is informative but sounds fun. It seems like an accurate reflection of how software development teams collaborate in the actual world. These workshops and activity groups at TripleTen are essential parts of the learning experience rather than merely extras. They look to have many benefits to developing new skills, and forming enduring relationships and have made learning to code both enriching and enjoyable.
-Mentoring: Having a mentor who could offer advice, respond to my queries, and examine my work was quite helpful and the response times are spot on. Their advice not only helped me become a better coder but also gave me greater confidence. They establish a lively learning atmosphere where inquiries are welcomed and knowledge-sharing is prevalent.
-Career Support: TripleTen's dedication to its students' success after the course may be seen in the inclusion of career-related content such as résumé workshops and interview practice. Each workshop was a gold mine of information, covering everything to mastering complex algorithms. They improved my problem-solving abilities while also extending my technical skill set. Challenges were transformed into learning opportunities through interacting with other students, working together on group projects, and asking for assistance in the forum.
-Hands-On Experience: The emphasis placed on project-based learning gave me practical skills that I could immediately put to use in the workplace.
-Building Confidence: As I moved through the program and dealt with progressively difficult problems, I felt much more confident in my ability to code and solve problems. I feel a great deal of accomplishment especially when spending a long time troubleshooting a problem.
-Career Transition: I'm sure when I get towards the end of the program I can take advantage of TripleTen's career-focused resources and support to get internships and subsequently a position as a software engineer. It also offers a route to a profession in technology and is more than just a learning platform.
To those who are just beginning their coding journey, here are some tips and advice that worked for me:
-Set Specific Objectives: Specify your objectives and develop a well-structured plan to reach them. Having specific goals can help you stay motivated and on course.
-Keep Being Consistent: Success requires consistency. To gain momentum, give your study regular, concentrated time.
-Challenges are a part of life: embrace them. Significant growth will result from embracing challenges and finding solutions.
-Utilize Community: Interact with the coding community through websites like TripleTen or online discussion boards. Collaboration and the sharing of experiences are effective learning aids.
-Other resources: It's okay to use Google or your favorite search engine to help you understand concepts or try out test coding. If you are more of a visual learner like me, TripleTen provides videos on some of the topics but you can take it one step further and search and watch videos on that specific topic.
-Regular practice will help you become better at coding. To reinforce your learning, code frequently, work on projects, and look for coding challenges. It is advised that you should put about 20 hours of work into your studies but if time allows for it then try to get more hours in as much as you can.
-Use mentors or seasoned professionals in the sector, if they are accessible. Their advice can be extremely helpful when tackling difficult subjects.
-Create a portfolio of projects as you master new skills. When applying for positions, it will be essential to provide these concrete instances of your work.
-Keep Up to Date: The tech sector is always changing. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the most recent trends and technologies in the industry.
-Holding yourself accountable: It's understandable that life gets in the way and you are unable to get any coding done, just make sure to make it up as soon as possible or if you can get small tasks done with the time you have. Taking a break is highly encouraged to refresh your mind.
-Have confidence in your capacity to learn and develop. Coding may initially appear difficult, but with perseverance and commitment, you can succeed.
Finally, my decision to use TripleTen for my coding adventure was critical in my transition into a Software Engineer. The project-centric approach, structured curriculum, interactive learning environment, and strong community support provided by the platform were great tools. TripleTen not only offered me the technical skills but also the confidence and tools I needed to succeed in the profession. For those just starting out in coding, remember that with effort, perseverance, and the correct resources, you, too, can reach your goals in software engineering. -

I am currently on Sprint 8 of TripleTen's Software Engineering Bootcamp, and I'm just starting to scratch the surface of the more advanced programming concepts. I'd describe myself as tech savvy as I've had some experience working with websites, basic code, and editing software but I did not expect this bootcamp to be this rigorous. The term "difficult" doesn't even begin to describe the intensity of this bootcamp. This bootcamp is hard work, and it requires someone willing to learn beyond TripleTen's curriculum. TripleTen does a great job laying the foundation of programming concepts and theory, and although their projects give you an opportunity to understand what you've learned, you'll also need to build side projects on your own to truly grasp these ideas. This isn't to TripleTen's shortcomings but rather something you'll have to learn to do as an aspiring developer. You never stop learning, and you never stop building.
TripleTen's curriculum is impressive. It dives deep into theory, and the content behind their interactive platform is in depth. Naturally I wonder about how much extensive programming went into building such a platform. Although TripleTen's curriculum is impressive, during the more difficult sprints their lessons start to become convoluted. There are so many points to follow, and connecting the dots gets very difficult. I found myself re-reading the same lesson 4-5 times before having a slight understanding to what they were trying to teach. Some of these sections could use more video explanations to help students comprehend better. This is probably the only minor downside to the program that I've experienced so far. Although the more difficult sprints get confusing, TripleTen's curriculum still covers all of the relevant topics.
The instructors are a huge help. They do a great job pointing you in the right direction without giving you the answers. In the long run this is beneficial to people who truly want to become software engineers that problem solve on their own. Instructors will respond with great detail and sometimes even send video recordings of themselves helping you with your bugs. Community managers are also very helpful. They're there to support you whenever you need an extension or a break.
So far I'm enjoying the content they create for job assistance. The advice they give on creating an online presence, networking and all of the tools you need to enter the job market is valuable. But since I haven't started the career coaching program (available after graduation), I've put "Job Assistance" as N/A.
My overall experience with TripleTen is a positive one. The instructors, tutors and community managers offer exceptional guidance throughout the program, and the curriculum is interesting and thorough. If you're thinking about pursuing a career in software engineering with TripleTen, be prepared to work harder than you can imagine. There's a reason software engineers are well compensated. It's a very complex and valuable skill to attain. If it were easy everybody would do it. Enrolling in TripleTen's Software Engineering Bootcamp proved to be both my most challenging endeavor and the most rewarding choice I've ever made. -

I became interested in shifting to a career in technology after I was introduced to some rudimentary coding techniques related to a hobby. After some online research, I selected the Business Intelligence Analyst program at TripleTen for their flexible schedule, support staff, and career assistance programs. Some of the sprints were more difficult than others, but I was always able to receive any necessary help from the program's tutors. I enjoyed learning about the various techniques and formulas needed to manipulate the data to find desired answers. When we used programs that I was at least somewhat familiar with, such as Excel, the lessons were still informative and useful. When we moved on to programs that I had not heard of, such as Tableau, the lessons were detailed enough that I was able to follow along without issue.
Besides resolving my difficulties completing the coursework, the TripleTen tutors were also always available to answer my questions concerning strategies and what it was like to actually work in the profession. I sent messages that were always promptly answered (except one time when the person i had messaged got the flu), and the video conference I arranged was very informative, supportive, and arranged around my schedule.
The projects at the end of each sprint were good summations of the material, which both assisted me through a real-world problem and forced me to think critically about how to solve one. When my projects were reviewed, the feedback was returned quickly, and it was generally helpful and specific. Their comments gave me useful insights into not only how to improve the general quality of my work but how to maximize the professionalism of what I was presenting and adhere to subtle industry expectations.
Since I have only recently graduated from the main BIA program, I have not yet had the opportunity to participate in one of their externships. But I look forward to receiving a task from an actual company and completing it under guidance of the TripleTen tutors. I sometimes lack confidence, and I believe this program will help me to have more faith that my newly acquired skills can successfully be translated into a career. -

I decided to start learning Data Science because solving problems interest me. I'd like to have a work from home position where what I do uniquely helps the company. I have an analytical personality and I am good at analyzing details.
The training platform is helpful because there is theoretical learning. Like it explains the new topics and then backs it up with code for you to do the work of what you just learned. The projects give you a chance to work on real world business topics that you might actually do in the field. The tutors are helpful when you can get one. I don't like that its challenging to casually get explaination for things you may not understand. Code reviewers are tough, sometimes they give a hard time. Community managers are as helpful as can be. The other classmates are golden, and a great support system.
I am learning new skills and concepts I never even thought of, and I think I will be able actually do the skills needed. I just am really hopeful I will be able to get a great job in this field. I chose TripleTen because of the gaurnatee for the job. The program is really challenging and it takes a lot of dedication. Just have to trust that the team here is training us well and we will acquire good paying work in our field. -

I chose TripleTen (formerly Practicum) because of the opportunities for a flexible schedule, code review, the money-back job guarantee, and live tutors and community. I've been studying for the last six months and have learned a ton. I have been immersed in JavaScript and am starting to learn React at the moment. I'm hoping to broaden my career prospects and do a job that is more challenging daily.
What has been great:
The format -- the program is broken down into 2-3 week sprints that are modeled after the profession. This is my favorite part of the program. You can work independently on these projects after doing some lesson on the platform.
The tutoring -- If you do get "stuck" or need some advice or guidance, there is live tutoring available through the platform every day. If you can't make it to a session, you can post your issue or question online, and many tutors will respond with a quick video or screenshots. The tutors are great and share their own professional experiences as software developers. They're such an asset to TripleTen truly.
The code review -- In the projects, we push our projects to Github and receive feedback on our projects. The Code Reviewers are top notch and give excellent suggestions and point out when things are working.
The flexibility -- Sometimes, you might need an extension or may get sick or need to take a week off. The program has breaks that you can take along the way. There are 8 week-long breaks and a month-long break if needed.
There are other things that I can't comment on like the career program at the end--but they do integrate career lessons into the coding lessons along the way. At the beginning, they also said that there would be opportunities to do an "apiary" or a cooperative work experience project with a company. I haven't known many students to do these just yet, only one who finished as I was starting six months ago. I think there are limited opportunities, so it may be something to inquire about. I also thought there would be more opportunities through the program to do Code Jams or weekend coding competitions within the bootcamp, but there hasn't been any during my time there.
I think for myself as a learner, I learn the most through doing the projects in the sprint. I don't really like going through the lessons on the platform. Each sprint, I probably do 3-4 days of working through the lessons before getting the project. I'm not sure if it's because I have former development experience that I get bored, but I think they could be more precise and less dry. I do know it's necessary to convey new content in some sort of way though.
Overall, I feel closer to being ready to apply to jobs that require HTML/CSS and JavaScript. I had been learning Python in the past. I'm hoping that this will give me the push to get a better job so that I can do more for my family. This program provides a strong structure along with support in order to grow as a developer. -

I started this data science journey to transition into an exciting new field from engineering. I compared several bootcamps prior to selecting TripleTen and it was the best fit for me due to the flexible study schedule, breadth of the curriculum, continuous support from the community managers & tutors, and affordability.
I liked TripleTen's interactive platform with real-world tasks in each sprint, which makes it easy to see the value in the material, and how it can be applied to solving data science problems. The sprint projects are also real-world tasks, optimized to focus on material from the sprint and put the knowledge to practice.
TripleTen's comprehensive data science program has helped me learn Python, SQL, data analysis, data visualization, Git, and machine learning models, both supervised and unsupervised for classification and regression tasks.
Even though support is readily available from tutors during office hours and quick-to-respond community managers, I encourage you to challenge yourself and not ask for help until you've really tried as this will make the solution more rewarding and memorable. -

I chose to try to enter the data science field a few years after graduating with my B.S. in physics. I chose not to enter into a technical field after graduating, because I was tired of struggling to understand processes that seemed insurmountably difficult, such as learning to code and using these languages to analyze experimental data. After a few years of working in other fields (and coincidentally meeting other data scientists in my personal life), I decided to check out the current state of the coding world, and landed on data science as the most logical blend of my interests and experience. I began to brush up on the coding language Python using old videos I had saved from school, and eventually using Codecademy. These initial steps showed me that coding could be, at worst, frustrating but possible to learn, and at best, fun. I learned a good bit through these platforms, but I had trouble pushing myself to explore new ground, because I had nobody to provide validation for my work, and solutions were readily available. I applied to a lot of jobs, and even made it through most of an interview process, but ultimately kept falling short.
Enter TripleTen (formerly known as Practicum) – I liked the idea of frequently working on highly independent projects that would be reviewed by working professionals, completing externships with companies to gain more real-world experience, and taking advantage of their career services program upon graduation. I think the information is presented well, and contains topics that one who is learning independently might not stumble upon – basic software engineering, building applications, advanced math, like some linear algebra and calculus, and more. I took many math classes on linear algebra in my undergrad, but TripleTen’s presentation of the topic and its integration with data science has allowed me to much more fully understand its real-world applications.
I work full-time, spending about 44 hours a week away from home for work. I have hobbies, and responsibilities at home, but no dependents, and personally I am able to handle the workload pretty well. I do not track my time precisely, but 15-20 hours spent per week on the program is probably accurate. Community learning events are offered, like workshops and co-working, though I have mostly focused on moving through the curriculum itself. The code reviewers leave valuable feedback, and you can tell they invest time into reviewing your work. The same person will review your projects once you reach a certain point in the program, which helps build familiarity. I haven’t yet started the career support or acceleration programs, but I am looking forward to it, as it seems like a very valuable offering. The program also offers generous scholarships for recent grads, or at least when I enrolled.
I have not started any externships, or other extra-curricular projects, yet, because I only recently reached the point in the program where I am able to participate, and none are available right now, but I am excited to start as soon as possible. It would be nice if they were available more often. They are also available throughout the 6 months of career acceleration post-curriculum. Overall, I would recommend this program to both beginners and to people with some experience. I have not really started my search for a new job, so I cannot speak to my final outcome, but I feel optimistic. Recruiters for not-explicitly-data-science related jobs have seemed impressed when I tell them about this program, so that’s something tangible that supports my optimism!
I always heard that learning to code follows a hilly curve where at first it seems easy, then hard, then you feel like a master, then it feels like it is all impossible, and so on. I have found some truth in that. In college, I never made it past the first hump. Now that I have spent a while learning it all, I feel like I have passed that initial hump, plus another hump or two! It is simply a collection of skills that needs learned and practiced. TripleTen offers a robust environment in which to accomplish this, at a great monetary value, especially with any discounts/scholarships that are available. -

I am over halfway with the TripleTen code school and I have a positive impression overall. The goal for any bootcamp and their students is to teach them the skills (tech and non-tech) needed to break into their chosen industry. TripleTen does a good job doing that. They teach a full-stack curriculum based on JavaScript for the SE course. It is very challenging but it is logically broken up into steps going from theory to practice to building a project. If you ever get stuck, there are tutors who are skilled at the problems you are facing and will help you through it. They also teach other important skills such as networking. Overall, I think if you are interested in joining a bootcamp, TripleTen is a solid choice. -

I have been in Practicum's program for 4 months now. The Data Science program I am in is a 9 month program. The First part of the program was extremely tough. I am coming from a no coding background; non-the-less I was expecting a challenge; as it's not easy to attain these type of skills. I like the way the platform is set up; although it did have a few tech issues which set me behind on some things. The lessons are just bit size enough; yet sometimes can feel overwhelming. There have been changes since I have been in the program; and at first I could get help with tutororing fast and easy-- now it has been more challenging to get a tutor when I need help. That is something I don't like. For the most part I feel the program goes in order for the things we should learn; but there were a couple projects so far that I felt would have been easier or made more sense if the order of learning was better arranged. I like that Practicum has a comaradarie of classmates. There is a community where we can share, video and spend time with our other classmates online and not for nothing this is one of my favorite things about Practicum; is the support that I get from other classmates-- all in different parts of the program which is helpful. The community managers are pretty helpful at being liasons and helping fix any issues. I have witnessed a graduate get a job in the field which is a positive notion. This program is really challenging and I hear from others in the industry it will set graduates up nicely to get a position in the work field. I will also say; some of the reviewers who check the projects are unnecessarily challenging-- and it feels almost they are holding up the process on purpose. That is something else I don't like. This program states you don't need prior experience; but I recommend it, even if it's just watching youtube to gain some knowledge. To come in and keep up with knowing nothing from scratch can be discouraging. The workshops are not as helpful as some tutorials on YouTube. But the learning process is more to the point than to try to learn everything on your own. Learning Data Science has also helped in overall parts of my life on a personal level. Overall I like Practicum and I think it was a good choice for me because of the community in the program I am now connected with. I do feel I am learning the trade. -

I am twenty years old and am trying to get my life together. My priority is to become financially stable as soon as possible. The sooner I am financially stable, the sooner I will be able to enjoy my life and pursue more personal goals. Moreover, after much research, I confidently concluded that software engineering provides not only a comfortable, enjoyable work environment, but also the kind of pay that would most definitely help me accomplish my goal of becoming financially stable. Software engineering has always peaked my interest.
As far back as I can remember, working with computers has always been a dream. To be able to understand the magic behind technology is an interest that has never stopped lingering in the back of my head. If I am not mistaken, my first time finding myself interested in computers was in one of those movies that are similar to the “Mission Impossible” series in the scenes where there is that techie/hacker and says something like “Just one second, I am hacking my way into the mainframe… ANNDD done!” as the hacker is typing ridiculously fast! Therefore, out of high school I decided to join the US Army’s reserves as an Information Technology specialist. Throughout my time at Fort Gordon, my eyes stayed wide open as I learned more and more about how modern-day technology functions. Thereafter, I came back home and decided I will stick with information technology. For the past two years, I have worked in information technology for various companies and have honestly enjoyed every bit of it. However, now that I know the kind of lifestyle I wanted to purse, I knew it was time to make a career change…
Being as young as I am, there is so much I want to do before my health prevents or hinders me from doing so. A dream of mine has always been to travel the world. I would love to go around the world visiting different landmarks and hiking beautiful trails. I would love to go to Europe and Mexico to watch club soccer games and enjoy the local city. Also, I am planning to get married here soon and something I want to most definitely make sure of is that I have the finances to take care of my family. The pay that comes with being a software engineer assures me that I will have all the resources I need to become financially stable.
I chose Practicum out of all the other bootcamps, because of their approach to assuring they do their end to assist you with landing a job after the bootcamp. Practicum has a program that a student can participate in after completing the instructional portion of the program. With this program, the student has all the resources the student could have ever asked for. Because of previous experience in attempting to land a job in the technology industry, I understood that I needed all the help I can get to make my transition to the software engineering industry as smooth and easy as possible. Do not get me wrong, the student still has to do his part in regards to the studying and sacrificing of time, but Practicum takes pride in their ability to assist their students in landing a job as a software engineer. I would imagine every program would have a fantastic instructional program with great tutors, but it is what is done besides the instructional portion that people should be looking out for. Admittedly, participating in a bootcamp does come with a financial sacrifice, therefore you want to always make sure you are getting the most out of every dollar you spend. In hindsight, choosing Practicum was the best decision I could have made to work my way towards my big goal: becoming a software engineer.
When I think of software engineering, I think of those movie scenes where the hacker in one of those movies that are similar to the “Mission Impossible” series in the scenes where there is that techie/hacker and says something like “Just one second, I am hacking my way into the mainframe… ANNDD done!” as the hacker is typing ridiculously fast! I am well aware that the average day in the life of a software engineer is, for the most part, not as intense as that. Nor do most software engineers code with a black backdrop and green lettering. However, that presumption has made software engineering extremely scary for me. Thankfully, Practicum does a fantastic job of making sure that the students are taken from one lesson to another as smoothly as possible. Practicum pays close attention to how a student is processing the new information and has adjusted their curriculum with that in mind. Therefore, as I have gone through the instructional portion of the program, I have not found myself overwhelmed. To be honest, the topics explored further down the line can be a bit perplexing. However, the program is laid out to ascertain the student understands the ins and outs of the “bigger picture” of those crucial concepts. The tutors are also a huge help in the student’s understanding of what is taught here in Practicum. The tutors do their best to always make themselves to assist the students with any issues they may have. Personally, I cannot even begin to count how many times a tutor has had to take time to explain something I have had an issue wrapping my head around. Practicum delivers what you need, AND SO MUCH MORE, than what one would need to make a smooth career change over to software engineering.
In conclusion, I greatly recommend Practicum for anyone who is seriously committed to making a career change to software engineering. The resources are plentiful, the community is encouraging, the tutors are encouraging and knowledgeable, and the program can take anyone from knowing absolutely nothing to someone who is ready to transition over to the world of software engineering. I wish you the very best in your personal software engineering journey! -

As a veterinary technician transitioning into the data field, I recently completed Practicum's Data Analysis Bootcamp and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The program provided me with the skills, support, and community I needed to successfully pivot my career.
The curriculum was well-structured and comprehensive, covering all the key aspects of data analysis, including data cleaning, exploration, visualization, and machine learning. The hands-on approach with real-world projects allowed me to apply what I learned in a practical setting, which greatly boosted my confidence and competence in data analysis. Projects are sprint based which is set similar to workplace experience. For each sprint/ project, you are given two weeks to complete the curriculum and finish the project.
One of the standout aspects of Practicum's Data Analysis Bootcamp was the strong sense of community. The instructors and mentors were knowledgeable and approachable, always providing prompt feedback and guidance. The online learning platform was user-friendly and facilitated interaction with fellow students, creating a collaborative environment where we could learn from each other's experiences and challenges.
I was impressed with the quality and depth of the content in the bootcamp, which was constantly updated to reflect the latest industry trends. The program was also flexible, allowing me to learn at my own pace while managing my other commitments.
In conclusion, Practicum's Data Analysis Bootcamp was a game-changer for me as a veterinary technician transitioning into the data field. The comprehensive curriculum, supportive community, and career services assistance provided me with the skills, confidence, and connections needed to successfully launch my career as a data analyst. I highly recommend this program to anyone looking to transition into the data field or enhance their data analysis skills.

I found the Practicum by Yandex Data Analyst program to be a phenomenal program for preparing me for the real-world work environment. I completed the program with over 12 projects utilizing real datasets and skills in Python, SQL, data visualization and analysis, as well as some familiarity with machine learning algorithms.
The Practicum program appealed most to be me because it was the most respectful of my time. Many similar boot camps require huge time commitments and often are impractical to do along side working full time. The Practicum program was only around 20 hours a week and offered me several breaks during my study for me to still have a normal personal life.
After the completion of the program I enrolled in the Career Prep program that is part of all Practicum boot camps. In this program I built an optimized resume, a professional and polished linkedin, a strong github repository of my projects, and a simple portfolio website. With the tools I learned in the Career Prep program I am confident putting my best foot forward in job applications. -

I started learning data analysis to change my career and came across a Practicum boot camp advertisement.
It's great that I consulted with a real person, Mr. R, before joining the boot camp to ensure that it was not a scam. Unfortunately, there are many online scams that can take advantage of people who are looking for opportunities to learn and improve their skills. By talking with Mr. R and getting his advice and explanation about the boot camp, I was able to make an informed decision and avoid any potential scams. It's always important to do research and talk with trusted sources before investing time and money into any program or opportunity.
Starting to learn coding with zero experience can be challenging, but it's great that I was able to do so through the Practicum boot camp. The boot camp was designed to help people learn coding from scratch and develop their skills through hands-on projects and personalized tutoring. It's never too late to start learning something new, and coding is a valuable skill to have in today's job market. With the right resources and commitment, anyone can learn to code, regardless of their background or experience level.
Initially, it was hard to balance duties as a mom, wife, and student, but the boot camp helped you with one-on-one tutoring and recorded sessions.
The program was amazing and interactive, and the projects were challenging, but passing them made me feel relieved and accomplished.
The journey from zero to learning new things about data analysis has been helpful, and find the job very interesting, combining finance, analysis, and hypotheses.
Overall, I am very grateful for the experience and thankful to the Practicum boot camp and my manager, Miss M. -

I was recommended by one of my mentors to join Practicum after looking for a couple bootcamps to attend. He told me about Practicum and I gave it shot. It was a wonderful experience to be able to join Practicum and learn from them. The community managers and tutors were very helpful when it came to my studies and progress. I was able to network with other students, I've also joined Apiary which allows you to work on real world projects on a team. It was just an amazing experience to get to learn and then showcase my skills. The program curriculum is structured in such a way you get to pick up these skills in a short amount of time. It was very flexible for me. Thanks Practicum! -

I found Practicum to be pretty good overall. They are continuously improving the platform, projects and teaching process. The content is current and projects simulate real-world developer tasks. It is easy to get help when you need it.
The best part for me has been code reviews. I have felt like getting professional reviews and tips has improved my coding skills quickly.
Generally, it took me more to finish the sprints than the hours stated on their website, so that is another thing to consider if you are working. And the main reason is that they try to cover a lot of things with some extra materials to read, practice etc besides course content.
I am now having a holiday and took a course freeze so they are pretty flexible in that sense.
Finally, I would definitely recommend Practicum. I didn't have any bad experiences with them. So far so good! -

Changing the course of my life through Practicum!

I decided that I needed to shift directions in my career as a project coordinator, the pay wasn't great and the jobs were hard to come by. Practicum was one of my options from hours of research I had put in from other bootcamp options. What sold me on practicum initially was the smaller class sizes that were described and designated group of tutors for help. I decided to take the software engineering course, I had played around with a little of Python and decided this could be a great direction to go into. I was concerned studying online with something i've never done before and wanting to make sure I would have the support needed to do this successfully. Practicum's main line of communication is through Slack, it's all organized by what part of the course you are on. You are always aware when tutors are available or if any upgrades have been made to their program. The program itself is done on a really nice platform where you will read the theory and execute exactly what you read into code. I'm half way through the course at this point and it is definitely getting tougher. The only negative thing I will say is depending on the chapter it can feel like information overload and you might not use too much of that theory on the project. It can also be the complete opposite where I didn't feel like the information was enough or clear enough how to do the project. However, the support from the tutors has been great and they are good about making sure you understand. The study structure is broken out into sprints to replicate what it would be like on the job. Every sprint is between 2-3 weeks. I currently spend at least a few hours a day on it, my goal is to get through a chapter a day. When it comes to the projects I dedicate more time to those. Projects are always at the end of each sprint where you take your understanding in those chapters and use it on projects that will build your portfolio by the end. So far the experience has been the hardest thing I've ever done but the support makes it easier. I definitely believe I'm a slower learner when It comes to learning process, I feel like I usually will fully grasp the concept of something two sprints later. Even as a slower learner I still believe Practicum has made it easy to get the help I need to feel more confident about what i'm studying. I'll gladly update you all as soon as I finish the program on what my overall experience was. If someone was to ask me though if I'd recommend Practicum and I'd definitely would. -

I entered into the Software Engineering program at the end of 2022 and I couldn't be more pleased with how things are going. They have built a system of learn based on learn, practice and repeat. I'm a very hands on learner so tell me how to do something I will immediately forget. Practicum will have to watch a video and read about a topic and immediately have you practice it so that you can see how it changes a website.
With this being something brand new I find myself getting stuck on the projects, but I know that I can always go to a tutor through slack or one of the video tutoring hours to get help. I really appreciate that its not the here is the answer help, its more of a guided help so you can develop a thought process for if you encounter the same problem or something like this.
Practicum also has little break parts that will help you learn about different jobs that you could apply for after or things interviewer and jobs are looking for.
I also find that this bootcamp is scheduled very well to work with individuals that have a full time job. So far I haven't felt overwhelmed with working 8 hours taken an hour to relax and the jumping into learning/coding a website.
