It was quite intensive, as you will likely learn new things every day, but I actually enjoyed learning throughout the 3 months.

A typical daily class consists of a short lecture with a live coding session for around 3 hours. It also got a support session where you can join to get further understanding.

You will learn all the necessary knowledge and skills on how to build a full-stack project from fundamentals to frontend to backend. For the final project, you will build a full-stack project mainly using React, Node.js/Express, PostgreSQL, and Firebase, at the same time, you will learn about good developer practices like version control, deployment, and debugging. Also, you get to learn some computer science knowledge like data structures and algorithms, which is really great.

Not just that, it brings more than just building a full-stack project, it provides you with career help like resume writing and job support where you can network with peers after you graduate. Read less

The bootcamp is well packed with the necessary content that is needed for software development. The way the instructor handles the class is good. The slides, activities, assessment are all well structured for students to understand easily and enables to follow up. I've completed the initial module at Sigma School, focusing on CSS, HTML, and JS fundamentals. The module provided clear instructions and was highly informative, making it especially beneficial for coding beginners. Having enrolled at Sigma School as a part-time student, it has offered me great flexibility whilst working full-time. The online live sessions helped in guiding me through my questions and doubts, the instructors are more than friendly to answer your questions. They also have a discord server, you will join a Web Dev community where you can get your coding questions answered.

The online learning system that they’ve implemented last year was a well-created and organised but the involvement of the educators was a total disaster! There was no assignment and assessment feedbacks from the coaches (even though promised by the founder himself that there’ll be changes made on certain issues raised but nothing ever materialised). Even post-completion of the syllabus, I had to request for a certificate to be issued as there was no one responsible for tracking students’ progress and even when prompted, the person mentioned that a certificate wasn’t important. Also the final nail in the coffin was their promise to provide graduates with job search support and placements but there was nothing done even when approached regarding this matter. At the end of the day, students will have to find jobs or internships themselves so if you’re deciding to sign up for this school, please head to another institution if you do not intend to end up being disappointed. Their motto of “get a job or 100% free” is purely a marketing gimmick.  This startup was built without any prior planning, organisation and responsibility, but a quick-profit scheme!
