Sigmaschool

The full-time bootcamp course is 4-months-long with a different module being taught every month. Each module is compact with basic need-to-know topics & lessons, so you'll have to do some self-study if you want to know more about a particular topic/lesson. Classes are fairly engaging and students are encouraged to participate in the coding challenges and/or code-along exercises to further your own understanding of each lesson. I enjoy being able to apply the knowledge that I'd gained during lessons in a practical hands-on manner. The instructors and my peers are a great source of help and knowledge during and after class.

No, this is not endorsed or a paid review. No, I was not pressured into writing this. And, no. I had no diploma or degree to begin with. What I wrote here is as honest as I could be.

I enrolled in their course as a full-time student back in January with a focus in their Complete Software Development Programme (CSDP) curriculum. If you have no experiences in bootcamps, one way I can describe is that it's an accelerated learning journey.

You will need to carry your own weight throughout this course. I am not kidding that I had to code 5-6 hours after the class ends so I can catch up to the upcoming lessons. But along the way, it taught me how it's like to be a software developer --  You will struggle (that's a given in this industry) and you will feel lost. But along the way you will pick up the skills required to debug and resolve errors on your own.

I am giving this review 5 stars because it helped me achieve what I wanted -- getting that software dev job which is the point of this bootcamp. I have no tertiary education background at all and I wanted to get a job in a field where the norm is having a computer science degree or an IT programmer diploma. The project-based lessons provided had helped me become better equipped to enter this industry and I can't wait to start my next chapter in my career.

Shoutout to my instructor MJ for being able to always answer my questions. Even though I am an online student of the bootcamp, I still have some sense of participation in the class. Please read the other reviews below if you want something structured. But I think what I wrote here would resonate more to other people who  had always planned on career-switching from their mundane jobs

I'm currently a full-time student at Sigma School, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The instructors are fantastic—they really know their stuff and make complex topics easy to understand, even for beginners like me.


What I love most about Sigma School is their focus on teaching practical skills that are actually useful in the job market. They don't waste time on irrelevant stuff; instead, they help us build a strong foundation and develop the skills we need to land a job.

Sigma School is worth considering.  Their emphasis on hands-on projects and minimal hand-holding is a refreshing approach to learning, not just coding, but any skill in general. Rather than just memorising or pray the code will work, their approach is theres always a logic behind it. 

I was with zero coding experience, looking forward to start a career in tech. Started joining this boot camp 2  months ago, from not knowing any line of  coding, to able to create my own web application. I would say that so far, my overall experience was great. They have good friendly and very supportive community. I got all the supports and resources that i need as they do have a very responsive support team of experienced developers. Most importantly, the learning experience was smooth, well structured curriculum that are easy to follow and digest. I able to understand complex concepts step by step. Never thought  I can code this quick though. Very recommended for beginners 👍🏻

The highlight of the bootcamp was undeniably the instructor, who brought a commendable level of expertise and enthusiasm to the learning environment.

The instructor's ability to break down complex coding concepts was a strong point. They demonstrated a genuine passion for teaching and were always approachable for questions and additional support. The collaborative atmosphere created by the instructor contributed significantly to the overall positive vibe of the bootcamp.

If you would like to have a good kickstart on what development is all about and you wish to explore more to give you a strong foundation, do check out this school! The modules are pretty easy to catch up and it gives you an explanation that is easy to understand of the core concepts. Understanding the base knowledge will help you to explore more on about what web development has to offer. The teachers/instructors are also very interactive, helpful and passtionate to help more people to understand. Highly recommended!

Sigmaschool is a very fun and interactive bootcamp where there is a lot of interesting projects that I can work on and also helping us to prepare for the next step which is the job interview 

The instructors have been incredibly friendly, patient, and supportive throughout this 3-month coding bootcamp. Coming into this with zero coding experience, I was honestly nervous and unsure if I could keep up. But thanks to their constant guidance, encouragement, and clear explanations, I was able to learn step-by-step and eventually build my very own full-stack application, something I never imagined doing in such a short time.



They never hesitated to answer questions, no matter how basic they were, and always made sure everyone was on the same page. Their willingness to stay back, troubleshoot our issues, and offer individual feedback made a big difference in my learning experience. What really stood out to me was how they created a safe and motivating environment where we were not afraid to make mistakes and learn from them.



This bootcamp has not only taught me technical skills but also helped me build confidence in problem-solving, collaboration, and adapting to new challenges. I’m truly grateful for everything the instructors have done for us. Their passion for teaching and genuine care for our progress inspired me to keep going, even when things got tough. It was quite intensive, as you will likely learn new things every day, but I actually enjoyed learning throughout the 3 months.

A typical daily class consists of a short lecture with a live coding session for around 3 hours. It also got a support session where you can join to get further understanding.

You will learn all the necessary knowledge and skills on how to build a full-stack project from fundamentals to frontend to backend. For the final project, you will build a full-stack project mainly using React, Node.js/Express, PostgreSQL, and Firebase, at the same time, you will learn about good developer practices like version control, deployment, and debugging. Also, you get to learn some computer science knowledge like data structures and algorithms, which is really great.

Not just that, it brings more than just building a full-stack project, it provides you with career help like resume writing and job support where you can network with peers after you graduate.

A full supportive instructor with a good experience in the industry. They can deliver the contents in the easiest way especially for beginners or anyone that has no experience with tech. The syllabus is easier to understand and well-structured not like any YouTube videos you found. 

 The coding school I attended stands out as the best educational experience I've ever had. From the moment I enrolled, I was continuously impressed by the caliber of the staff and mentors. Each member of the team demonstrated an exceptional level of expertise, passion, and commitment to student success. The instructors not only had profound knowledge in their respective fields but also the ability to convey complex concepts in an understandable and engaging manner. They were always approachable, offering personalized guidance and support that went beyond the classroom. The mentors, many of whom are industry professionals, provided invaluable insights into real-world applications of our studies, bridging the gap between theory and practice. Their. Overall, the exceptional staff and mentors at this coding school were fundamental to making it an outstanding educational experience.






 

The bootcamp is well packed with the necessary content that is needed for software development. The way the instructor handles the class is good. The slides, activities, assessment are all well structured for students to understand easily and enables to follow up. Not to forget, that this bootcamp also teaches students to be more independent on finding their solutions that's how it is in the working lifestyle.

If you want to transition your career to a tech career, this is really a good bootcamp for you as they provide a lot of project for you to practice your coding skills in such a short amount of time.

I've completed the initial module at Sigma School, focusing on CSS, HTML, and JS fundamentals. The module provided clear instructions and was highly informative, making it especially beneficial for coding beginners. Will moving to Intermediate module and I hope this journey will be rewarded at the end.

Having enrolled at Sigma School as a part-time student, it has offered me great flexibility whilst working full-time. The online live sessions helped in guiding me through my questions and doubts, the instructors are more than friendly to answer your questions. They also have a discord server, you will join a Web Dev community where you can get your coding questions answered.    

Most importantly, Sigma School listens to their students. They treat your feedback seriously and want you to succeed. Enough said.

Joined the part time course and so far it has been easy to follow the course even as a complete beginner to coding. I am impressed with the staff's commitment to improve the course and the way the course is easy to get into for beginners

Sigma school instructor and staff put so much effort in this course that really guide me from a beginner, aboslutely none coding experience people until I create my first project, and my journey to become a full stack web developer. I have no regret sign in this bootcamp.
