SheCodes is a technical skill training provider for women offering online, hands-on coding workshops and a self-paced Professional Developer Bootcamp. The workshops and bootcamp are flexible and designed to fit around a student’s schedule, moving away from traditional, rigid learning methods. The bootcamp curriculum covers HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, OOP, AI, and more. The workshops cover how to effectively communicate with developers, how to become a front end developer, advanced Python skills, and how to break into tech. Students learn through bite-size lessons followed by practical challenges to reinforce their learning. Each week, professional developers review homework assignments. At the end of each workshop, students will build real-life projects like websites and web applications to add to their professional portfolio and impress future employers.
All of SheCodes workshops are beginner-friendly and self-paced. Women of any age are welcome to enroll. There are various packages that students can purchase depending on their coding needs and existing skill level.
At SheCodes, students have access to an online community of 200,000 women technologists. Students who complete the Professional Developer Bootcamp will receive a Verified Diploma upon graduation.

I really liked the fact that we had homework and could get feedback on it; for me, it has always been a great way to learn. During lessons, Matt's approach and pedagogy was also perfect: for a certain topic, he would give us a theoretical note on it, followed by an example and then an exercise for us to complete. I also fancied the times when he challenged us by introducing new topics!
If you're in any way interested in how websites and apps are developed, you should definitely join SheCodes! If you did love SheCodes and had fun whilst completing your final project and are looking to improve your coding skills in Web Development, or if you want to change career or even shift fields within your current company, SheCodes Plus is just what you need! When looking for jobs, I keep on seeing companies asking for the knowledge that SheCodes Plus has provided me with - and it's great because it’s not the sort of thing they teach one at uni!

A noce way to start
SheCodes really helped me push myself forward in the development world. Matt has a very structured and organised way to explain the theory which makes it very understandable, even going on a fast speed.

SheCodes is a great course to have an introduction to the front end world, but must be completed with somethinh else in my opinion.
I would recommend to try and do all the exercises first and then see the solution, otherwise you’ll forget quickly what you’ve learned.
Also it would be nice that the theory wasn’t explained with the same weather app exercise, just give the tools for the students to figure out the exercise on there own.
I gave mh feedback then and I hope changes have been implemented, if so, the course is totally worth it.
Thanks to them I continued to pursue my career in web development, and now I’m a full-stack developer.
