SheCodes is a technical skill training provider for women offering online, hands-on coding workshops and a self-paced Professional Developer Bootcamp. The workshops and bootcamp are flexible and designed to fit around a student’s schedule, moving away from traditional, rigid learning methods. The bootcamp curriculum covers HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, OOP, AI, and more. The workshops cover how to effectively communicate with developers, how to become a front end developer, advanced Python skills, and how to break into tech. Students learn through bite-size lessons followed by practical challenges to reinforce their learning. Each week, professional developers review homework assignments. At the end of each workshop, students will build real-life projects like websites and web applications to add to their professional portfolio and impress future employers.
All of SheCodes workshops are beginner-friendly and self-paced. Women of any age are welcome to enroll. There are various packages that students can purchase depending on their coding needs and existing skill level.
At SheCodes, students have access to an online community of 200,000 women technologists. Students who complete the Professional Developer Bootcamp will receive a Verified Diploma upon graduation.

Ever since I took an introduction to programming course in high school, I was always intimidated by coding. I didn't understand how or why people enjoyed spending hours at a computer. The words they were writing did not make sense to me (and that...Ever since I took an introduction to programming course in high school, I was always intimidated by coding. I didn't understand how or why people enjoyed spending hours at a computer. The words they were writing did not make sense to me (and that black screen with colored words = frightening!).
However, deep down inside I've always wanted to learn how to code. It's such a useful skill to know! SheCodes gave me the confidence I needed to learn about coding! Most lessons are followed by a challenge, and at the end of the week you complete a homework assignment. Matt makes everything understandable.
If you have questions, João, Lexi and other SheCodes coders can be reached on the Slack channel. I also love that Lexi follows up with each coder each week! I am hesitant about self-paced courses, but Lexi really helps to keep you accountable.
I now understand how coders can spend hours at their computers--they are doing something that they love! This is a course for all ages. I highly recommend!
