I am absolutely blown away! I honestly wasn't expecting an online workshop to be such a good learning experience. Matt is an incredible instructor and he made the lessons really fun. Every concept is broken down into bite sized portions, and while his lessons are clear, he also doesn't spoon feed you. You get to learn through hands on practice and trial and error, which really helped me understand the "why" behind the concepts. This course was challenging while still being totally doable. I was able to ask a ton of questions and get quick and helpful answers from both the other students and some awesome professional coders. Overall it's a 10/10! Thank you, SheCodes Team! 🥳 -

I previously worked as a Digital Advertising Specialist for a media company in Washington DC. This is where I was first introduced to the coding world. I have advanced experience in HTML & CSS but, I knew I had only dipped my toes in the water. This was the moment I knew I wanted to pursue a career in programming (web developer/web design/frontend developer). I can say that the SheCodes Beginner Workshop taught me a lot. I now have a solid understanding of HTML, CSS & JavaScript. I’m excited to further my knowledge by taking the SheCodes Plus & React courses. I attended the 3 week workshop and learned basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. This course is great for beginners with no former knowledge of coding. Course is presented well by quite short video lessons, and I really appreciated that almost after every lesson there was a challenge to be completed to test if I understood everything before moving on.
Another strong feature of this course is access to Slack, where you can communicate with teachers and fellow students, so whenever you get stuck, there is support available. Also seeing all the other students working hard and putting effort into their projects motivated me to do my best in the course.
I will be joining more advanced workshop at she codes because I was very happy with it and would definitely recommend it to everyone.

I never thought I would ever take a coding course, but I am extremely glad that I did, especially one from SheCodes. At first, I was a bit overwhelmed by the idea of learning how to code. However, Matt Delac’s unique way of teaching this male-dominated field took that feeling away immediately. His course is well-organised and the topics are explained thoroughly. I was able to absorb the basics of coding (HTML/CSS and JavaScript) in such a short period of time, and the workshop also paved a new path for me. I was initially hesitant to sign up for a bootcamp because I had enrolled in one to hone my skills, but there was very little help with questions and the staff was hard to contact and rude. I felt like they wanted to enroll students for money and did not care about student’s success, so I withdrew. and vowed never again to try a bootcamp. But then I saw so many comments about what a great community SheCodes was and some of the projects online. The name also got my attention being that it is for women, so, I signed up for the Express course (which was awesome). It gave me good insight and a feel for what's to come, so I had an idea of what my experience would be like. When I enrolled, it far exceeded my expectations! SheCodes, is not a typical "bootcamp." Even though the classes are online, it feels like a school that cares about its student body. Matt provides really detailed instruction that is really easy to code along, understand and retain. He also suggests that students keep practicing and reviewing the material so that we can get the material down pat. He also offers tips that help students truly develop into confident professionals - which is major! I am so excited to finally LEARN! I feel confident in what I am learning, and it makes me work harder and try new things - which Matt encourages. SheCodes brought my career aspirations back to life and I am so very grateful! I am continuing with the SheCodes Plus (enrolled now) and React courses (next). SheCodes that good! I stay up all night working on my assignments because I do not want to stop. 🙃 I would say to any woman that desires to get into programming to try SheCodes. It is a wonderful program! -

I loved SheCodes! I had a previous basic experience with HTML, but I've never done anything with JavaScript before and nonetheless I found the course very clear and easy to follow.
I also really liked that Matt was explaining enough to let me learn new stuff and complete the assignments, but still giving inputs about other options and possibilities that triggered my curiosity and made me explore and try on my own.

I was a total beginner when I started this course - I never did anything related to coding. Matt was explaining everything really clearly and I always had access to the materials to go back to and refresh the info. Also, I greatly appreciate the help on Slack - always got replies quickly and everyone is so nice. It feels great to be a part of this community and also to learn new skills. It's incredible how much I've learned in such a short time. Matt is a great instructor, I really could understand the logic of coding. Every time I finished an exercise module, I was looking forward to learning more. The support time is super and they review your weekly exercise!
I have gotten a lot out of my SheCodes workshop. It is definitely a workshop for anyone interested in grasping the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and Java.

A great workshop, lets you work at your own pace if you're having to work around your life to finish it. Matt explains everything well and provides a lot of external sources to look at to do more research. Three weeks flew by, that's how much fun I was having coding. I truly enjoyed every minute of this workshop, many thanks to the overly supportive employees as well. Matt's videos are so easy to follow, he breaks them down into 8-12 minute short videos and then you get to practice with a challenge. The best part is that each wee challenge had something new that you have to figure out on your own. It's so incredible how this workshop can highlight your capabilities. The feeling you get when your code works is addicting. This is my first time coding, and I can't wait for the second chapter with SheCodes.

Would highly recommend this course to all the ladies out there interested in coding as a starting platform. The course is so well structured. It allows you to work with small bits which is both rewarding and easy to fit in the daily schedule. The videos are easy to follow and understandable. I’m so happy that I 3 weeks ago decided to take courses at SheCodes. I tried some different online coding courses before, but it didn’t work for me, I spend a lot of time, but by the end I could not code by myself. Look at me now, just 3 weeks at SheCode and I already can code my own webpage. I found SheCodes through a friend that works as a developer. She knows that I want to have a career change and SheCodes was one of the schools that she advised me to look.
As a person that knows nothing about coding (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), I finished the 3 weeks workshop with a completely functional page. Not the best looking, I have to admit, but with 3 weeks, I guess it was pretty good!
I'm actually thinking of doing the longer workshops that they have (maybe the Plus - 3 months , or Plus React - 4 months).
If you want to start coding, this is one of the best ways to start.
P.s.: The name "SheCodes" is only for serving the purpose to narrow the gender differences in the IT area :) -

I love SheCodes - these were amazing 3 weeks learning basic coding in a fun and interactive way. I would like to continue this exciting journey when I graduate from my MBA. The knowledge and skills I have gained give me a feeling of empowerment to do more and achieve more.
