As a person who got Maths Phobia and, I never thought that I could code. Thank you Matt for making coding super understandable and the kind help from SheCodes Team, I acquired some basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript:) The challenges after every lesson are very useful. It keeps the students on track and allows us to revise them immediately. I have lots of fun with coding and could never imagine that I am hooked after two weeks! Not sure how far I would go with this new hobby but will take the rest of the workshops for sure! -

This was a fantastic introduction to coding. It was a snappy 3 week course but the webinar material was incredibly easy to follow and the instructor did a wonderful job of simplifying hard concepts while still delivering insightful challenges on the homework and projects assigned. I have signed up for the Shecodes Plus course and have recommended this course to all my female colleagues. -

I took the 3 week SheCodes basics class and it was a really great introduction into the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I work in Learning Development and wanted to expand my knowledge into coding as there are many tools and systems I use and wanted to flexibility to dive into more tech focused roles in my industry. As someone who designs training for a living, I was very impressed with the student experience for this course. It was approachable for a beginner who knows nothing to slowly build up the knowledge and have space to practice in a supported environment. For a virtual course, the slack channel support really stood out for me as you are not in it alone and have a place for help when you are stuck. The lessons are short and focused on small chunks that eventually build up to a final project. It was very well designed course and I feel like I learned so much in a short amount of time! -

The Basics workshop was so much fun! Thank you, SheCodes, for making coding fun to learn and accessible. The material is well-organized and strikes just the right balance between theoretical knowledge and practical application. I especially appreciate Matt's knack as a teacher 1) to frame the concepts in clear and memorable terms, 2) to pace how quickly new material gets introduced and digested, and 3) to tailor explanations pragmatically to what we need to know yet without dumbing any of it down merely because we're neophytes. I highly recommend this workshop. -

This workshop was a great introduction to coding. I love that the lessons are very thorough and then you have to apply each concept right away. I have wanted to learn to code for a while now, tried different online lessons without getting far, but then I found SheCodes and I have not regretted signing up. Best decision if you ever want to start learning to code. Everything is nice and structured, the lectures aren't too long and they are all well explained, followed up with challenges, so you can actually try out what you've just learned. Definitely recommend SheCodes! -
