I saw myself stuck in dead end jobs, my life seamed doomed and all hopes were gone. Then I saw a post about the Academy and decided to jump right into it. Oh boy, let me tell you something, it's not an easy ride, you'll fail and fall, you won't have time, they are not joking when they say it's an immersive and intense bootcamp. And yet, this was the best time of my life. They also told us on the 1st day that we would get out with a new family, all I could think was 'hell no', get used to it, they are always right! Always had everyone by my side, pulling me up when I thought I couldn't get up, helping me all the time, putting a smile on my face and making me believe in myself. I step out the academy with my pocket full of skills and my heart full of love. It's much more than just a course, a bootcamp, it's learning to learn, it's a home. To you reading, go for it, join this amazing family.

It was a pleasure to be part of this bootcamp! We learned a lot of things, but the most important thing we had experienced was this family! A lot of people that we didn't know and today we are like a real family!
About the bootcamp it self, it teach us how to be focused on a task. How? Leaving us out of our confort zone. Yes, this was a very challenging 14 weeks that maked us stronger than ever.

I was afraid about <A/C_> when I first heard of it. The more I looked, the more I got convinced it was the thing to do, but once I got there all my expectations were exceeded. Expecting it to be some boring classes like every other classes I had taken, it is the polar opposite. You learn by having fun, when you make a question the answer is not immediate, you're pushed to think for yourself and find it. Apply your new learned skills in small projects every week, and then learn to work as a team with bigger creative projects and a final 24 hour hackathon, which will be unforgettable.

I was in a really difficult time and choose this bootcamp as a last shot to start a new career. Some of the reasons that made me choose Academia de Código were (i) the application that already made me learn and feeling that would be possible for me to be a developer if get into it, (ii) the availability of computers on their part, which meant that I did not need to invest in something so expensive at that time and (iii) the financing options. But honestly, I did not know how I would pay when I finished. After an immersive and enriching experience, I was looked for by several companies and I went through a unique process in my life that was to choose where I wanted to work. I have won many friends and today I see how right was my choice.

About a couple years ago I threw myself head-first into some kind of crazy idea that consisted in letting go of a steady job of seven years and moving inland without earning any kind of money or having any time for myself during three and a half months to learn how to code in <Academia de Código_>'s bootcamp without any guarantee that I'd have a job in the end. Incredibly it was one of the best decisions in my life and at the same time one of the hardest things I ever did. After a huge breakdown, of suffering a lot looking at a blank screen while it seemed like everyone's fingers around me danced away over their keyboards writing endless lines of code, of several nights leaving the Academia at one in the morning only to return at nine thirty to attend the lectures, of being twenty four hours without sleeping in a Hackathon, of spending less time with my wife in those three and a half months than when we were three hundred kilometers apart, I now got a job in the area, live 5 minutes away from my place of employement and everyday I use my head and learn a little more. And the best thing about all this? This is only the beginning of an awesome, long ride. Thanks to the Academia and everyone in it for the amazing opportunity and making me believe that <Igor>"Só acaba quando termina".</Igor> Onwards and upwards!

I applied to <Academia de Código_> on a whim. I had no career prospects, no finished college degree and honestly very little faith in myself left after a couple of years at a dead-end job.
That all changed once I met this group of unbelievable people, after all, learning how to code in 14 weeks is no easy task, but they somehow made it the best 14 weeks of my life.
The classes are challenging and fast-paced, but no one gets left behind or judged, you learn how to code but you also learn how to think logically and how to express your ideas and solve problems in the best way possible.
I started working on a job that I love, and despite my initial doubts, that I'm very good at, one week after finishing the bootcamp.<Academia de Código_> is more than just another coding bootcamp, it's a place you'll call home forever.

Have you ever felt that the world was against you? That you got no control on your life whatsoever? I have been on that position myself, but fate already brought you here so, you really should consider to, at least, apply to this course, a decision you will not regret. Why?
On this course you will learn that stop learning is not an option. Every day you have to arrive on time or you will be invited to dance in front of your new and for life friends. The more you think “I got this”, the more mistakes will happen, and from those, serendipitously, you will start to see how things come together and how the Force of coding ignites from you. Of course, the lectures will be guided by highly trained professionals at spotting bad code from long distances, perceiving “WTF is that concept” faces from their peripheral vision, and to indulge you to get to know 10 friends of theirs: curiosity and empathy.They will show you the idiosyncrasy of solving problems that you never thought of and they will help you understand how to tackle them, whenever you need them to do so.

This is like a big familly in which you learn everything you need to become a very decent full stack junior web developer. In this bootcamp I did not only learned how to code, but also made great friends. The lectures are awesome and very well structured, mixing exercises and theory in a very ballanced way. I would recomend this to anyone who has a desire to change career or lifestyle, because it has definetly changed mine.

This is an amazing, immersive and engaging learning experience. You will have the opportunity to learn from some of the industry's most dedicated and supportive people. provided me the best experience I ever had in my life! It was amazing how in 14 weeks I went from knowing nothing to be completely prepared to face professional job challenges. I have learned a lot, not only in a technical way but also regarding how to put my soft skills into good practice. Teachers are very helpfull and committed as well as my colleagues. The trade off between learning new stuff and put them to practice is top notch as this course is very practical. In a nutshell, provides a way for people to become developers but more important to become better professionals. Definitelly a life changing experience! -

If you're looking for a regular 9 to 5 coding bootcamp this isn't for you... At <Academia de Código_> you will begin your day at 9am and finish Linus Torvalds knows when, so you better have the "I'm gonna be late" message on deck. If you're like Jon Snow and you don't know nothing about coding, worry not! You can go from Jon Snow to Azor Ahai in just 14 weeks. The only bad part is that I can only rate <Academia de Código_> 5 stars...

I was stuck in a dead-end job and starting to lose sight of my future. I had heard about <Academia de Código_> back in 2015, and finallly decided to apply in 2018.
Was it hard? Harder. It was the hardest thing I've done in my life.
However, it paid out. I've made new friends, I've gained a family, but most importantly I've learned how to learn. I'm so thankful to our Master Coders in FUNdão, they are truly the best. Before, I had never even seen a single line of code. Yet, here I am, working as a Junior Consultant at Altran Portugal, and loving my job!
Thank you for giving me this opportunity, it literally changed my life. -

<Academia de Código_> changed my life, it was the best experience I had in my life and totally reseted my life for a brand new and better one.
Even if you dont have money at the moment you can go to Fundão and pay later when you have the job.
The MC's are amazing and the environment is cool, you wont have any problems, besides drinking a lot of coffee hehehe, yeah its intensive but you will have the reward in the end, a pretty good damn reward.
That was a pretty important thing for me, since I was "lost" in my previous life.
so yeah hold your balls for 3 months and in the end you will be a happy programmer :)

It was a fantastic experience. From the bootcamp application to job enrolment, I felt accompanied through the entire process.
The instructors were helpful, very knowledgeable and amazingly patient. The bootcamp has an awesome teaching philosophy that leaves you prepared for the job market, you might not leave knowing everything (ha!) but you'll come out prepared with the knowledge to learn how to face any ordeal. It promises to turn you into a software developer and it delivers.
I don't regret it for a second, changed my life. Highly recommended!

When I started the bootcamp I was really scared. I was turning my life upside down and starting over in a new country (I'm from Brazil), building a new career (I'm a geologist), almost all alone (just me and my husband in the country, no family or friends) and dealing with antisocial issues because of my difficulty to understand the Portuguese language. It wasn't easy, this isn't for the faint of heart, but that just prepares you even more for the future in this field. Might sound like a cliche, but from day one I felt embraced in a safe space where I could make mistakes and learn from them without being judged. This place brings together all kinds of people and that diversity is what makes the experience unbelievably incredible. We were able to learn not only programming, but also a large skill set to thrive in the field. The staff helps you with everything. Literally everything. From working hard to playing hard, from AM to PM (and then AM again), from coding to interview practice, they even help you make an awesome and impressive cv. It's a full package. No buts. They gave me a home away from home, and for that I'll be forever thankful. Best decision of my life, hands down. -

Applying for this bootcamp was the best decision I ever made and my life has improved so much from this.

The bootcamp lasts for 14 weeks, but it feels so much more. It's so intense that you learn so much from the beginning of computer science untill coding practices in the real world. When i finished the course i was ready to start working, and i actually got my job 2 weeks before finishing the bootcamp!
During these 14 weeks you know amazing people, and you feel apart of a big family.
I think everyone should do this bootcamp!

One day after Christmas I went to attend my best gift, I was able to enter Academia de Código, living one of my dreams and being lucky/skilled enough to be one of the winners of the contest to be accept as an "alumni". After going there for the workshop I was already in love by it's awesome ambient, is very informal and familiar at the same time, the "Master" Rui Ferrão speaks so clearly that it was impossible to miss any content, and rare the moment that I needed to raise my hand to ask questions, Sérgio was another teacher that really inspired me because he went from student of the last course to teacher, and people from Academia like Catarina (Bootcamp Momma) kept telling us how he had some difficulties but as he is such an hard worker, he was able to push himself to the top and of course Antoninho, that spared us the needed time after hours (Antoninho's School) to pull up everyone that was feeling behind, he was also a previous course attendant.
It's a big family. The best place to learn how to become a developer. The syllabus teaches everything we need. I just can't find words to describe the experience. Yes it's hard to keep up with the fast paced learning environment but that's why they look for people that are able to push themselves harder and harder. You learn everything from computer science history, to design patterns, to serious and practical coding. I remember that in the final weeks many companies come see us in the classes and talk with us, some of the people are CEO's others are recruiters, others were developers to properly check the syllabus and what we were learning, and they all said "This is what you will be doing for real, don't be afraid to become a professional in this area, because you are being given the right tools.".
For 14 weeks I think it's an awesome experience and it's more than enough for the students to become their own teachers, as we were told (just like in University), they teach us how to learn and from that we can proceed our own adventure, but of course whenever we need we know we can contact our family and they will surely help us. It's just awesome, from the curriculum to the job support where the people working there are awesome as well.
I went from a guy that didn't even have finished high school, nor went to the University (I hate them) to become a professional full-stack web developer and I am now working on a startup, and already had other jobs in the way. I had some minor experience building websites specially with WordPress and I was at the time learning to become a Full-Stack Web Developer through online courses, but gladly I got in Academia, you need a lot of self-discipline to go learn always by yourself and I was missing having a class full of mates learning and helping each others. The syllabus is really complete and I think It's completely worth the money, specially as you are finished after 14 weeks, I am really proud, happy and feeling privileged.
You even get sentimental when the course ends, thank you all, thank you Academia de Código!

It was an awesome expercience, the team is incredible, I learnt a lot and enjoyed every step. And even gave us links to were study and what to study after we finish. They have and amazing HR that help to make a resume and linkdIn, but that is all and that made a little sad, I would like more help with that thinking about the price. But after all, I would do it again, and the job is more to us, but more help to this would be 10/10. -

Learn programming like a pro
Entering the bootcamp i was expecting to learn programming regularly, but i was surprised in finding out that you learn it in a way that is used in the professional world. They give you all the means to get a job in just 3 months of classes. But this experience is not easy at all, you need to be fully committed to the goal and believe in what they tell you. -
