I really liked every bit of this course. The learning phase was very easy and understandable. I mean, everyone can start and become great at this. This course and this people allow you to have the best knowledge, best practice and what's most important, everything is up to date. Every material, every tutor is from this time period. Everyone is still in this job and they give you the material that is relevant for today. I think you just have to trust me, and just start. You will not be disappointed I can guarantee it! -

I wasn’t sure how I could become a real QA tester if I studied only 6-8 hours per week. Now, I realize that for me it’s the best format for studying as I can keep working. When I study, I can properly concentrate and I don’t get exhausted. I especially like Maria and Justin, they’re really talented teachers! I decided to leave this review after I had my first mockup interview. I made so many mistakes and now I know how to avoid them. Besides, I missed many important aspects when trying to fill in my LinkedIn profile on my own and I needed help to improve it.

Thank you, it’s a great course!
I joined the Systems Engineering course with only basic computer skills. I can confirm that such a low level of competence is enough to get started. The teachers are very articulate and attentive to detail. They make everyone feel confident and psychologically comfortable. It’s just as important as explaining how to use various tools.

I have no tech experience and I got tired of my current sphere, so my husband who’s working in QA recommended Careerist to me based on the opinions of his colleagues. Now I’m learning and sometimes I ask him to assess my skills and knowledge. So far, he’s proud of me :) He says Careerist knows how to prepare students for work. Personally, I love that teachers share large amounts of useful information with us without overloading us mentally and emotionally.

I completed the Sales Engineering course. Previously, I was a sales rep in b2b business and then in ed tech. What the Careerist team taught me was very different from the traditional sales techniques. My new job doesn’t imply selling products but finding ways of improving them. I fell in love with this occupation during the discovery & research stage of the internship simulator. While I was studying a startup wanted to hire me. But I preferred to work for a more stable business and this is what I’m doing now

The course material is well organized and delivered in small doses. This allows for a high-level of comprehension and understanding of the subject matter for students. Sometimes the instruction can be confusing at times but after clarification and further explanation, it gets better. The instructors are awesome at responding to your questions. The course starts out with some background on the concept of Manual QA and the employment outlook. By week two you are introduced to main testing types, and bug classification, After all of the concepts/theory you move into creating test cases and bug reports. Those are the two main tasks you will be performing as QA engineer. After several projects, quizzes and self study...you're ready for your 2 internships. The first one is internal with Careerist and the second one is an external internship with a real company, doing actual tasks that emulate what you'll be doing in the real world. Lastly, comes the career coaching part of the boot camp which definitely is designed to set you up for success. All of this within a span of 15 weeks! Worth the money! Do it! -

I have currently completed my coursework with Careerist as well as my first internal project. What a great experience! All the instructors are experienced, passionate and excellent at helping their students learn the material. Like many others just starting, I was not confident at first but after my first internship I know I can do the work. All you have to do is follow their instructions. I am excited to start my real world internship next week. After that I will be placed with a mentor who will help me land a job. I can't believe I didn't even know about Manual QA a few months ago! I highly recommend Careerist to anyone who may be on the fence. -

I love that the Manual QA course was set up with the idea that anyone could follow it regardless of their prior experience. You can really see how much work has been put into organizing the learning process properly.
The most impressive thing is that the tutors for the courses are not just ordinary teachers who only work for the money. All the instructors I’ve met during my 2 courses (Manual & Automation QA) are actually working elsewhere within the spheres they teach. Receiving knowledge from experienced practitioners that have a passion for their job is the most effective, IMHO! Another really important thing about the course is that tutors help with your resume and Linkedin profile after graduation.
And last but not least… I’m so happy I met some fantastic people in my group. Thank you all! -

I saw people here talking about how difficult it is to change spheres and begin studying something new, but very few mentioned that paying for the courses can also be a problem for some people. Thanks to the payment splitting option that Careerist has I was actually able to afford a course! That’s awesome, especially if you take into account that I managed to get a job in the end. Thanks a lot! -

I absolutely love how the courses are concise and relevant. When I decided to go into IT, I didn’t exactly have a lot of money saved up, so long courses with lots of unnecessary information weren’t my kind of thing, since I needed to get done as quickly as possible.
To cut it short, I graduated from the Sales course and currently have a decent salary and am looking for a promotion within 2-3 months. Lucky me! :) -

One of Careerist’s advantages is that they provide full support for their graduates until the job contract is signed. I graduated from the Sales Engineering course and had the platform’s support all the way until I got a job 2 months after graduating. I absolutely love how the course is organized so you get so much more than just lectures. The course itself is rather short but it really upgrades your skills at warp speed thanks to the internships and guidance from the mentors who all work in the sales sphere and help you with your resume after graduation.
Another advantage of the course is that the mentors are always open to your questions, before, after, and of course during the classes. -

Today, I’ve graduated from the QA Manual boot camp. To all of those who came before me — thank you for paving the way. The lectures and the following internships were constructive, invigorating and highly encouraging for a fruitful professional success. I can see myself working in this field. Specially, during the internships ( two of them following each other) we encountered many “bugs” and some blockers. Nevertheless, we were well trained to approach assigned issues in JIRA and ’Verify’ accordingly in TestRail.
A big applause to careerist. -

As for me, the best thing about Careerist courses is that they are done in a bootcamp format.

You have tons of materials and studying to do but the information given is the knowledge you will actually need. You get loads of homework but it’s the practical skills that you sharpen by doing it. The classes are quite intense but you can always ask a question and get a proper reply. What I’m trying to say is that you get a lot of important information that you will be able to apply in a very short amount of time. There is always the option to rewatch a lesson on the internal Careerist platform of course, but if you are a quick learner this bootcamp approach is the best since we’re all aiming to get a job in the end. -

Informative and helpful
When I first contacted the Careerist team, I didn’t know which course to choose. The career advisor recommended manual QA to me as a beginner. I took this course and now I can say that’s very well-structured and understandable. What I enjoy the most is practical tips and real cases from the teacher’s personal experience as it gives an insider look at the sphere

1:1 coaching was the best part
I was homeschooled and I realize the difference between group classes and individual ones. However, I started a group course to better feel the vibes of working in tech. I selected Careerist because of 1:1 coaching. I extremely enjoyed my conversations with the coaches! They always found enough time for me and gave comprehensive answers to all my questions. -

I finished the Manual QA course with Careerist, and I am very glad that I've done it! I was skeptical from the beginning, but after a year of working in the IT industry, I must say that their training program equips students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the field of software testing. And even more! The instructors are experienced professionals who provide hands-on training and guidance throughout the course. The other great thing about Careerist is that mentors assist students in finding job opportunities, and lead them in job seeking process. -

The course was pretty decent. Let’s see how long it will take me to find a job…
Everything was fine but I wish there were more interactivity. And I wouldn’t mind studying a bit longer to get more knowledge and compose a larger portfolio. I studied Systems Engineering. It was a bit difficult but nice. I’m trying to find my first tech job now, wish me luck!

I’m a self-taught designer. Before I enrolled in the UX design course, I knew how to cope with the creative part of this job. But I knew nothing about user flow analysis, hypothesis development and other aspects related to research. The Careerist team showed me that design isn’t only about visual aesthetics. It’s a mix of business and science which is enjoyable and not so difficult. Thaanks so much, the course was top-notch!

I used to be suspicious of all the online courses… there are so many of them and they teach the same skills. What matters for me is real success stories of both teachers and graduates. Careerist graduates work for tech giants such as meta or amazon. And teachers are current practitioners! That’s why I opted for Careerist. Now the funniest thing… When I graduated, I accepted an offer from a startup and not a tech giant because the conditions were simply superb…

Manual QA - WIP review

I have just finished the first internship. I have not yet gone through the real internship, the mentorship or the the job searching tool, that is why this is a WIP review
Like any other course, whether it is online or in an university, this bootcamp have really good teachers that really know what they are talking about and are able to answer to random questions or give real life examples as well as simplified examples and also have teachers that they may be really good at their jobs, but they are not really good at teaching, some of them just read the slides and may have some difficulty trying to explain some concepts that may be obvious to a professional, but not so much to a beginner.
The first internship was really good, I was lucky to have the lead that I got, she was able to explain all the steps needed during the assignments of the tasks. This was definitely necessary to review some of the concepts that were not super clear to some of my classmates.
I am currently doing the second internship I look forward to meet with the mentors and to start using the job searching tool. -

Knowledgeable, Helpful, encouraging.
I would highly recommend Careerist if you are wanting to break into tech. I was skeptical at first(didn't know what to expect). I have now graduated and am about to do my internship outside of Careerist. My instructors are absolutely wonderful and really are available if you need help or don't know something. Thank you to everybody here at Careerist! -

Careerist has exceeded all my expectations as a school/boot camp. I am thoroughly impressed with their top-notch courses and the dedication of their instructors. The way they ensure students are receptive to the information is remarkable, offering quizzes that reinforce knowledge and promote active learning.
The ongoing support from the instructors has been instrumental in my success. They genuinely care about the students' progress and go the extra mile to assist us whenever needed, creating a supportive and motivating environment.
The internship provided by Careerist was an absolute delight. It added a practical dimension to my learning, intensifying my understanding and preparing me for the real-world challenges in my chosen field.

A very interesting course that is well planned and focused not only on learning the job, but also getting the job, they offer free classes to see if it is something you would like. I really appreciated the ability to reach out for support, however one must also apply themselves to get the course done in a timely manner. -

When choosing a tech course I considered only the options with a money-back guarantee. Careerist promises to give back 100% of the tuition fee to those who fail to get employed within 1 year after graduation. It made me feel more confident and I began to trust it more. I wanted a fully remote QA job with a flexible schedule and a decent salary. It took me four months to find such a job. Maybe, I could have coped faster. But honestly I didn’t concentrate my efforts exclusively on job search.

All of the instructors are very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the materials in a way that a beginner can understand. They also took the time to explain any questions multiple times if necessary. The coursework was great and laid out in a way that is not overwhelming to a beginner like myself. The internal internship was really good it helps build your confidence in your new skill sets. My Lead Helen was absolutely amazing. She explained everything in detail and gave good feedback both positive and negative but always in a way to build you up. I would highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to get into the tech field. -

I did manual QA with Careerist, you learned a lot within a short time, and the internal project was a good experience. However, the QA lead of the external project wasn’t good with communication and could not elaborate on the tasks properly, but overall it was ok. The downside of the program is, Careerist is not honest with the Job market. It is challenging and almost impossible to find Jobs based on only manual QA experience; employers want people with QA Automation experience. I would have appreciated it if they were honest about this and gladly paid for the manual QA + Automation combo, knowing there would be a job for me when I finish the course. Careerist prefers when you do the manual QA first and then advise you and expect you to pay for the automation course(extra $4000) if you don’t get a job; that’s manipulation. It’s not a bad program/investment if jobs are available, but there aren’t; I’ve been looking for one for the past three months! So how can I pay a $4200 loan without a job? They also assured me of a money-back guarantee, but I doubt they will give me back my money if I don’t get a job; just another lie/scam.Farida of Careerist

I had no technical background before and I expected that it would be quite difficult for me to understand everything. But in fact it turned out to be a really well-structured course with detailed information presented in a comprehensible form. But the best thing for me is that mentors do really help not to give up - they don’t only explain complex issues but also motivate and support. Now it’s 2.5 months after the course, my mentor still keeps in touch with me and I finally have my first offers! I’m very happy and thankful ☺️ -

Changing your life and starting over from scratch is always difficult, and if you are willing to try your hand at the IT sector you have to be highly motivated... What I want to say is that Careerist is not just a bunch of qualification courses. Careerist courses have 2 very important points that I can relate to. First – the tutors, the group, and the atmosphere itself keeps you on your toes and motivated. And second – you get hands-on experience through internships and a lot of help with your resume, Linkedin, and other profiles, so at the end of the day the course is made in such a way that you actually get a job in the sphere instead of just finishing another useless course. -

I recently completed the Manual quality assurance course with Careerist. From inception to completion, I had a good experience. The course is well structured and organized. All the tutors were very professional and knowledgeable. They were all very patient and took their time to explain in detail all the information being taught and provided clarity when needed.
All sessions were recorded, so lessons can be reviewed limitless times for better understanding if needed. Live chat service was also very efficient ( Even at night) whenever I had any queries. Internship stage also went very well, my team leads were awesome!

I had a great experience learning Manual QA skills at Careerist! The instructors were very clear on the explanation of the content that was taught and the lessons were easy to understand. My first internship was also a great experience led by my team leader Daria Harashchenko! She was very helpful by directing on how to do the tasks on our daily meetings and also with a summary after every meeting that was also helpful to deliver the assignments with no difficulties. -

This bootcamp was an interesting experience. The instructors are very insightful and experienced. They provided so much information! It was definitely hard for me initially to keep up with all the lessons. The job mentor assistance could be better, because i feel like its lacking quality for those who want to get a job immediately, even though they give you some good resources to start with. -

No one said that when we were in the course, I am sending my resume from the first day when I finished the careerist courses. Around 10.000 resumes I sent already No one asked me what we learned in the course. They are teaching nothing in the courses. For more than 1 year I got 2-3 interview and they all asked for the selenium with java, cucumber, gitd, Microsoft programs, amazon programs, data base and act..I want my money back, you guys doing a scam, I'll do my best to get my paid $3500 money back...The course owner lied to us by showing a couple of old students who were working already or I don't know, maybe just paid for that and promote the manual scam qaFarida of Careerist
