I would mention Careerist courses as an example

В Description: In many subjects we are only scratching the surface and the instructors fast pace and foreign pronunciation of English doesn't help to really grasp the concepts in a strong way. Too much is left for the students to figure out by themselves. More examples and quizes are needed and a slower pace that takes time for introduction and better, more simple and hands-on explanations. Instructors are usually experts in their field so they should use their expertise in providing every day examples and brining matters that really matter to the center. The course is built around preparing the students to pass the interview in addition to other useful stuff taught in the course like the tools. Rating might go up if more content will be added as suggested. For very good courses I would mention Careerist courses as an example.Max Glubochansky of Careerist

I attended this class and paid upfront for Manual QA and Automation QA and graduated from Manual QA back in October of 2020. The curriculum was pretty decent and instructors were as well. I did not get my return of investment in this class as companies want you to have over the top of knowledge from SQL, to JSON and React and this class didn't necessarily teach hands-on in all this extra material that companies demand. I did try and take the Automation QA class as I was persuaded to take it by a Careerist counselor but with taking the class, I did not understand it and couldn't have a 1 on 1 mentor to help me through the process of understanding it so I dropped the class after a couple of weeks of taking it. I have called and emailed for a partial refund but still haven't heard back regarding my request of a partial refund and so wouldn't recommend pursuing this class since they don't offer 1 on 1 mentorship which I thought they would/did prior to signing up and also they don't have companies affiliated with them either to give that extra help in getting a job. -

Good course
The course is a good intro to Manual testing and testing software in general, but there are many other advanced aspects of testing not covered. If you need automated testing skills this is too basic for you and you should look for a more advanced course. Great for beginners, too basic for some.Anna of Careerist

Great platform if you are looking for a new job. I took the Manual QA course (class of July 2020) and the instructors and mentors were really supportive and patient. Normally I find remote learning a bit challenging, but it worked really well because of how practical and rich the program was. I feel ready to start my career in QA and considering taking the advance course (QA Automation) in the future, when I feel ready to learn some code.
I think if you are looking for practical training that is centered around the job market, their programs are the best. But if you are looking for pure education and academic theory, maybe Coursera is good enough.Anna of Careerist

Careerist AI Automation Review
Read more Read less of Anonymous's review
The first week or so of the program was great because it was just prompting techniques. The instructor did an excellent job. But I think this is a strategy. The best classes are offered first because you get a 7 day refund. You don't know the rest of the curriculum is terrible until you get to the second or third week, but by that time it's too late. The second instructor who was teaching n8n and Make was clearly an automation expert, but not a teacher. The curriculum became extremely poor when the second instructor began to teach. There was no methodology. The second instructor made countless errors while teaching the class, and I got so confused while trying to follow along and make automations during the synchronous sessions. The videos for the asynchronous classes were outdated, and I struggled to create the automations even more. I had to search on YouTube for videos about how to complete these assignments. The internship was not a real internship. It was more of an extension of the course. I did not feel as if I was working for a real company. I did not even finish the course because my career counselor canceled twice. I have been asking for a refund because they did not honor their part of the agreement, but so far no reply. Save your money. You are better off joining a Skool community. -

Underwhelming and overpriced
My experience at Careerist was underwhelming. The course involved listening to stories and role-playing. Negative comments on Slack are deleted, which is misleading. The job search tool is just a job board for LinkedIn and Indeed. The high cost, including resume creation, seems unjustified. -

Totally Unsatisfied with the Internship part of Program
Read more Read less of Anonymous's review
The course of learning the technical part of being a manual QA technician, careerist gets 5 stars but who can't write a 5 star course of information in a powerpoint presentation. Today it is all about the hands on work which is where things got dicey. The internal internship was great! My team lead was very informative and completed his part of reviewing and giving feedback in a timely manner. However when it came to the external internship which I believe is the one that counted the most, my team lead dropped the ball all together. I am currently at the end of the intern and I have completed all five task that were assigned to me and have not received not one review or feedback on any of the work that I have completed. Then when I reach out to the internship group as well as my team lead I feel as I was brushed off. I get a message from the intern group saying they will reach out to the team lead and I get a message from my team lead that says "It was a technical error and that I have passed the internship". But me being the technical person I am I went back to look at my task again and woooooow they are still sitting waiting to be reviews with no feedback at all not even a great job. So did I really pass? Horrible experience at this point especially for that amount of money spent. Maybe I'm a one off but if I could do the whole process over I definitely would not. I don't even care to finish at this point just take my money as a loss an walk away. -

Intro to Sales Engineering

I recently completed the online sales engineer course and I am absolutely thrilled with the experience! The comprehensive curriculum covered everything from the basics of sales engineering to advanced strategies for success. The instructors were knowledgeable, engaging, and provided real-world examples that made complex concepts easy to understand. The online format was incredibly convenient, allowing me to learn at my own pace and review material as needed. The course materials were well-organized and easy to follow, making it simple to grasp new ideas and build my skills. What impressed me most was the emphasis on practical application - we were encouraged to work on real-world projects and case studies, which helped me develop a strong portfolio of work that I can use to showcase my abilities. Overall, I feel much more confident in my ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders and I'm excited to apply my new skills in my career. -

I am enjoying the Careerist Bootcamp; I completed the Manual QA course and began with Automation Training. However, you also need to do self-learning and keep up with the determination
I am currently still learning, I have completed an ISTQB certification, which can make me stand out as well. Furthermore, the Internship gave me a bit of confidence in handling tight deadlines.
Instructors are helpful, and customer service is top-tier.
Note: you need to do extra work while learning, they have enough information to get you a job.

Disappointing Experience
Read more Read less of Anonymous's review
I recently had an unfortunate encounter with Careerist Bootcamp, and I must say that my experience was extremely disappointing. I joined the program with high hopes and expectations of gaining valuable career skills and guidance, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a scam.
From the beginning, there were red flags that I should have recognized. The promises made during the recruitment process seemed too good to be true, and I should have been more cautious. The bootcamp claimed to provide comprehensive job placement assistance and guaranteed career success, but in reality, it was nothing more than empty promises.
Once enrolled, I quickly realized that the program lacked substance and failed to deliver on its commitments. The curriculum was poorly structured and lacked depth. The instructors lacked expertise and were unable to provide meaningful guidance or support. The promised networking opportunities and connections with industry professionals were non-existent.
To make matters worse, when I attempted to reach out to the program's support team for assistance or clarification, I was met with unresponsiveness and indifference. It became evident that their main objective was to take my money rather than genuinely help me in my career development.
As a result of this experience, I not only wasted my time and energy but also lost a significant amount of money. It is disheartening to see that there are dishonest organizations preying on individuals who are genuinely seeking to improve their careers.
I strongly advise anyone considering Careerist to proceed with extreme caution. Do thorough research, seek reviews from reliable sources, and be skeptical of any program that makes extravagant promises without concrete evidence of their effectiveness.

Misleading
Read more Read less of Anonymous's review
This is an overpriced course which you can learn online on your own. Everything that is taught in this bootcamp is common sense. I titled this as “misleading” because the sales reps pitch things that are not even offered once you start the course (I.e., the automated JAS system). According to the sales reps JAS was supposed to apply for companies on my behalf, which is a major selling point, however, once you finish the course you notice that this isn’t true. The JAS system only gathers a bunch of jobs, which you could find on other platforms like LinkedIn, Glassdoor, etc.; however, you have to submit the applications yourself.
Another thing the sales team failed to communicate was the “internship”. The internship is not really an internship. It’s more like an additional 4 weeks of regular class. ITS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. You literally breakout in small groups and pretend to be in a meeting with your peers…
Had I known all this I would have went with a different bootcamp that is a lot cheaper and can get me a job in tech.Farida of Careerist

Sales Engineering Training is a rip off
Read more Read less of Anonymous's review
I enrolled in the Sales Engineering Program for $3,250 in January 2023. The positives- the teachers are seasoned Sales Engineers and the other students are very nice. The cons- you will not have enough technical skills to get hired as an SE after completing their program. Please don't let social media stars tell you you will be able to; they were hired during the pandemic. The market is full of new SE's trying to find jobs. Back to Careerist- It is more like an intro SE course, but they don't tell you that. Careerist acts like you will be able to get an SE job right away when you have your first appointment/phone call to pay for the course. The course slides are not anything you can't Google or find on YouTube. There is no homework. Everyone passes the end of class mock interview and 5-10 minute student demo presentation. They pretend like you won't pass but you will. The non-tech "mentors" do not provide any tech insight and give wrong advice by asking you to lie on your resume saying you have skills that you do not. My Careerist group had 70+ people and not one of us have gotten an SE job in 4 months. I reached out to previous groups from the November and December cohorts and they haven't found SE jobs either. A handful of them have gotten jobs in Tech sales not SE. The price for the class is not worth it. They sell you a dream but you will NOT be able to get an SE job simply by taking the Careerist bootcamp even if you have a college degree. The contract they ask you to sign prevents you from suing them or filing a class action law-suit against them. Trust me we want to sue! They also use current Careerist students during the "internship" to sign up new students every cohort. They coach you on how to convince new students to sign up to pay. The internship did not teach us anything new that the classes did not. Dont go into debt to take this program. There are cheaper programs you can find and free resources on LinkedIn. Currently, Sales Engineers need hands-on experience of 3-5 years to get hired. This bootcamp will not be enough. I 100% wish I could get my money back. -

I recently completed the "Python QA Automation Engineer" course on Careerist, and I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the course material and the instruction. The course is designed for anyone with a basic knowledge of Python who wants to learn how to apply it to QA automation. The course is also very hands-on, which I found to be very helpful. Throughout the course, there are numerous exercises and assignments that help you apply what you've learned. Additionally, the instructors are available to provide support and answer any questions you may have. One of the things I appreciated most about this course was the focus on industry-relevant tools and technologies. For example, the course covers the use of Selenium WebDriver, all of which are commonly used in QA automation.Overall, I highly recommend the "Python QA Automation Engineer" course on Careerist. It's a comprehensive and practical resource for anyone looking to build their QA automation skills using Python. The instructors are knowledgeable and engaging, and the course is well worth the investment. -

Pretty Good

I'll review this course in two parts:
Part 1 - The Instructors/Mentors
The instructors are the best part of this course. Their backgrounds are different, and their ages vary, but the care they show is fantastic. They often stayed hours after the official class ended to answer questions; this is where most of the learning starts. Then there were the mentors, each of whom was fantastic. They helped with the tedious nature of building a resume & gave great feedback on how to improve. However, there is one caveat, be sure to ask what their ratio of students to instructors/mentors is. While the people are great, they can only do so much & if they have a 50:1 balance when you sign up, you won't get the care/time/attention you deserve.
Part 2 - The Curriculum
The material could be more groundbreaking. However, there are few assignments & the workload is more than manageable if you have a full-time job or kids. That said, the information is a little more profound than a Google Search but is still helpful/necessary to speak the language of a Sales Engineer. -

Interesting, but can be better.
I felt like the lessons could have taught more. There was a solid amount of information, but manual QA has so many avenues that their current curriculum isn't enough. The instructors did a good job with their lesson plan. I feel like the mentors do the most. They're very helpful with the entire process. -

I'm very very happy with Careerist Bootcamp! My three friends who graduated from Careerist, all found jobs after they completed the program! As everyone recommended this bootcamp, I decided to give it a try even though I was not really interested in IT. In Careerist, everything is structured, comfortable, and easy to understand! In my case, I was studying while I was working, so combining a bootcamp with my job was extremely easy. The staff are friendly and provide excellent knowledge along with support, and after you finish the internship, you'll have your own mentor who will guide you throughout the whole process until you find a job. Whether you have any doubts or questions, Careerist's staff will handle everything in a professional manner. Lastly and most importantly: I got hired! -

I started Careerist to have a refresher in Software Manual Testing, but my main goal was Automation testing.
So far, my experience has been good. The instructors are knowledgeable and they make incredible efforts of answering all students questions and some even code on the fly, while still covering the material.
I've already complete a internship with them (on the Manual part of the course), and now I'm starting another one, on the automated side.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed, as this one will be challenging! -
