I completed the manual testing program and was very satisfied. Careerist has a convenient platform for classes, and managers promptly answered any questions I had. Overall, I had few questions about the program because it is structured in a way that everything becomes clear during the lecture. There are also free additional lessons if you want to delve deeper into a particular topic. I also like that there are tests and summaries available for use.

As someone who came from learning to code prior, I found Careerist advertised to me as I was curious about QA in software engineering. I'm honestly glad I chose Careerist and this course as I realized that this is what I want to do for work and I loved learning about how QA works and kind of the behind the scenes of how apps and programs get released and created. There is so much that goes into QA engineering and I really enjoyed learning from the instructors and getting the help when I needed it. Having the classes scheduled each week was best for my learning style and helped with accountability to keep studying and getting homework done. If you are interested in coding and learning about software QA, I would recommend this course. You even get help with LinkedIn, resume prep, and interview prep as well.

Careerist is a comprehensive boot camp that introduces you to the many avenues of technology. I learned the terminology, and application processes and, most importantly had the opportunity to run a demo. I loved my experience in the learning phase but know it's not over yet! I am excited to see what happens during the internship phase but so far the support from your cohort and mentors is superb. I'd definitely recommend 10/10!

Careerist's Sales Engineering and Tech Sales training has been truly transformative over the past six weeks. From initially knowing little about the tech industry to now feeling incredibly confident in my abilities to excel in tech sales, the program has exceeded my expectations. Through hands-on learning, mentorship from industry experts, and collaborative workshops, I've gained practical skills and knowledge that I can immediately apply in real-world scenarios. The supportive environment provided by Careerist has been instrumental in my growth, allowing me to thrive and learn from my peers. Careerist has helped continue my professional education in the UI/UX design industry. I will tell anyone who asks me how happy I have been with my choice of program through Careerist to train as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer. My experience to this point right up to my "real world" internship and entry into the job market has been absolutely 100% what the webinar about the program promised. 

Here's some bullet points to keep the affirmation precise: 

• It was a fast track into the tech field. The entire Manual QA course is paced to get you in and out ready for a fresh job search in your new industry in 3 months flat. 
• Accessible with zero technical background. If you can handle your PC and mobile phone comfortably, you can learn the material and perform the functions of the work by course end. No bull. 
• Cost was fair, given the nature of the services offered for your career pivot. It's cheaper if you pay up front but they got me hooked up with financing under my good to fair credit through a third party. This actually made the program attainable for me to complete with for the cost of one nice dinner a month as a start. (And isn't getting started always the hardest part of a major life change?)
• Value is excellent. Career counseling resume and linkedin optimization services included in your program alone is worth the price of admission. 
• It was manageable to not only "keep up" but be on time and comfortably paced around a full time job and a family life. This was my biggest concern about full time college or a night school program in general, if I would run myself to death trying to spin all the plates without dropping any.
• The instructors were varied, pros in their field and all offered a unique and valuable perspective into our new field based on their actual experiences. While all of them were excellent guides, I worked the most closely with the instructor for my group's internal internship; Viktoriia Simak. I found her teaching style to be perfect for this type of material where the requirements for each assignment were clearly laid out, and she would communicate revisions needed to bring your work up to professional levels, and where you could improve to make it even better. Where I was unsure if I could master the nuances of the typical industry practices to be at a fully professional level by course end, Viktoriia not only made sure I was, she gave me the confidence that I was too. 
  
  Can you teach yourself tech skills online? Yes. But the careerist program will answer your questions, get you hands on experience, give you confidence in your competence, and help open those doors to actually land the job. 

I’d been wanting to get a job in IT for a while, but I didn’t quite understand what to start with, since they all ask for at least some experience and knowledge. A friend of mine told me about Careerist and I thought that it was worth a try, and I’m glad I did! True, the education process was fast paced and rather difficult, and finding a job was too. Anyway, it was all worth it. Now I can enjoy working from home, from anywhere really, and my salary is about 50% more than it was at my old job…

I'll always recommend this program, it literally helped me get into the tech bubble. The instructors are knowledgeable and patient, the materials are detailed and self-explanatory. The experience I got during the internship afterward was beneficial. My mentor was quite responsive and prepared me well for my interviews. After applying for jobs, with the help of JAS, I was able to ace most of my interviews and secured three offers at the end of three months. Enjoyed every bit of the experience. 

I am regretting attending Careerist instead of another boot camp. The program guarantees that one can break into tech with no prior sales or tech experience needed. Moreover, it guarantees 1:1 mentorship, specifically to improve my resume and practice mock job interviews. As of today, even after Graduation on March 3rd, these guarantees have not been delivered. I have been assigned to Aigerim Yerzhan as my mentor. In attempting to schedule a meeting with this mentor, I noticed that her availability will be either between the hours of 12 am-5 am or 10 pm - 11:30 pm CST. These hours are not conducive to my schedule. Nevertheless, I went ahead and scheduled an initial meeting on February 3, 2023, to discuss Careerist and what I can expect with mentorship. During our meeting, I asked very specific questions about how we will proceed, and how my resume should be curtailed for the Sales Engineering position, and Aigerism could not answer the questions. All she kept communicating to me is to send her my resume and never addressed my concerns. At the conclusion of our call, I did not feel confident that she could adequately assist me because she never answered my questions. On your website, it states that Careerist has qualified mentors. My experience with Aigerim does not prove that she is a qualified mentor. Then, on March 7, I had a demo + interview session with Farhan Awan. During this session, he stated that I did a bad job with my demo. He did not give me any constructive criticism as to how I can improve my demo. Additionally, during the interview portion of the session, he was critical of my answers; his body language was coming across as negative to me with Farhan constantly shaking his head from side to side and rolling his eyes, indicating disagreement or disapproval. He offered very minimal tips for improving my interview techniques. At the end of our session, I left feeling less confident, not encouraged, and more so, I felt penalized and was put in a place of judgment for my responses. Before this demo session, we never received any practical hands-on training in the classroom to successfully prepare and complete a good demo and ace a tech industry interview. Once more, my experience with Farhan does not prove that he is a qualified mentor. I found Farhan rude, dismissive, and distressing. I, now realize that the current structure and personnel of the Careerist Sales Engineering program is not the same as when Cyrus Harbin went through the Curriculum. He received hands-on interviews and demo practice in the classroom to successfully ace his interviews. That is how he was able to confidently pivot into tech, and that's why he recommends Careerist to his 100,000+ followers on social media. I feel that after my financial and time investment into Careerist, I have not acquired the adequate training and skills to become a Sales Engineer. I am left to seek other avenues and boot camps to learn how to demo, learn to interview successfully, learn how to optimize my LinkedIn and resume, and learn to effectively seek a Sales Engineering position.I am highly disappointed with my financial investment and time in the Careerist program. Since starting this program, I have not received an adequate return on my investment. I have connected with other former students who encountered similar experiences to mine, and they have enrolled in other boot camps and as a result, now have jobs in the tech industry. My hope that in the future is that Careerist will address these issues and really deliver on their training's guarantees. At this moment, I am asking for a full refund of my investment. The course lacks structure. The instructors pretty much read from the slides every night and do not prepare you adequately for the demo and job interview that you must pass in order to successfully pivot into tech. The Careerist program is a scam. The internship is a joke. It is just you calling potential students to get them to sign up for Careerist.  During the internship, they do not train you with any technical skills to be a Sales Engineer or to do a successful demo presentation. There are so many students that I have spoken with that have graduated from Careerist, and have not found jobs as Sales Engineer. They, like myself, wish we could get our money back.  

I recently graduated from a course for the Manual Quality Assurance Analyst role at Careerist, and I was really pleased with how well it was taught. 
The course material was well-organized and simple to follow, and the instructor was knowledgeable and interesting. 
In addition, there were many chances for discussion and feedback throughout the course also the mentors have your full support in terms of helping you after graduation in applying to a Job and guiding you through the path. 
The training was a huge assist in preparing me for my career aspirations, in my opinion. Anyone trying to further their career should definitely check out Careerist, in my opinion.

I’m a former educator transitioning to tech. Careerist has been an excellent boot-camp experience for me. My neighbor told me about this company and got a high-paying job ($102k) after doing a course, so I knew it was legitimate! I did the ‘Manual QA’ course which included live online video lessons, quizzes and an in-depth homework task, followed by practical internship opportunities. Having finished the course, I feel really confident that I can do the job I was trained for because of the hands-on experience Careerist provided. The ongoing support provided by Careerist for their graduates to help them successfully interview & land a job is outstanding!!


The Positives:

The Negatives:


·       The internships allows you to practice the main skills required for the job, but hands-on experience with certain tools is not possible if you don’t have the hardware yourself since you’re learning from your home with what you have. (E.g. if you don’t have a Mac you can’t practice using Xcode hands-on. If you don’t have an Android, you can’t practice ADB/Android Studio, etc.) Note: this is not a problem with Careerist, just the reality of online learning! Careerist does provide video recordings of how these tools are used, however, so you can definitely learn how to do it – but just can’t practice “hands-on”). ·        You need to wait for your mentor to give you the go-ahead before starting the job search – after you pass the course, finish the internships, pass the mock interviews, have your resume/LinkedIn profile looking good, etc. This is a positive for people who like to follow rules/processes (like me), but could be a negative for people who want to do things their own way! 

One of my friend recommended Careerist to me.  I took a Manual QA course with them. One of the best decision I made. I wish I had found this earlier. Careerist provides you with a good starting base knowledge to get into the software testing field. Instructors were very experienced, during the classes they always made sure all was well explained.  Mentor was very helpful throughout the whole process of the job search which I appreciate. I would definitely recommend Careerist to someone who is considering a career change in short time and wants to get into software development and testing. 

Careerist has been an eye opening experience for me. They have cultivated an environment for success in the tech industry. This bootcamp helped people like myself with no tech experience, gain confidence breaking into the industry. The mentor help from Nadia from Careerist has come with such high value. I was able to enroll in the Manual QA program during a special Black Friday sale.  All of the teachers are experienced QA's who are friendly and pleasant.  This course is the perfect bridge into the tech industry, especially for those without a technological background.  No coding experience is required.  Furthermore, the course includes an internship and externship.  They teach you everything you need to know and the supplemental materials are extremely helpful.  

I enrolled to Careerist on June of 2022. I completed the course, internship and followed my mentor's guidance to land a job. It took me a little bit longer than what I had expected in the beginning. I came in thinking I would be employed in less than one month, it took me until March of 2023 to get hired. However I must admit that I was not applying to many jobs, in fact I'd go weeks without submitting a single application. However I'd still have recruiters reach out to me consistently and I finally landed a contract gig at Apple (Did not expect this AT ALL). If you're thinking about joining Careerist, I definitely recommend it, however dont join if you think you'll get a job in 2 weeks, while it is possible, it is highly unlikely. Best of luck and don't give up.

I've decided to switch careers from the restaurant industry to the tech field. I feel like this course is very informative as well as simple and easy to understand for someone who doesn't understand IT. After the classes are finished they put you through and internship program where you get hands-on experience with a team. The internship teaches almost everything you need to know about manual QA, they teach you how to use TestRail, JIRA and other tech methods required to test applications. Also they have a great in house build-in job search application which I personally find helpful because job search can be stressful and time consuming. There JAS application searches job for you and also makes it easier to fill out application with auto fill feature. Overall I would suggest this course to anyone who is new to the tech field and want to switch up careers. 

Careerist was a game changer for me!  I made the decision that I wanted to change careers after 20 years into IT from healthcare administration.  After doing some research, I came upon Careerist and enrolled in their QA Engineer program.  I completed the course and internship and then began working with my mentor on my resume and interview prep.  The interview prep was top notch as it truly prepared me for the interview process.  I landed my first job in IT within 3 months making over 90K my first year with a company that is truly amazing.  I am now working on becoming a QA Automation Engineer.  The skies the limit!

The Manual QA course by Careerist is a really great investment. I have enjoyed the courses very much and found them all highly accurate and informative. The instructors were consistent with one another and each class lead smoothly to the next for a cohesive experience. My mentor is very kind and professional and so helpful in preparing me for future interviews. I'm so glad that I decided to attend Careerist and hope to go on to take the automated QA course as well.

- can view the lesson on your own schedule & pace
- included 2 internships 
- hands-on experience with real companies & daily stand-up meetings
- great feedback from the Leads on your test cases  
- great mentorship, interview prep, resume review, LinkedIn profile review, & follow up 
- can choose a payment plan of 2 installments (recommend) or have them take from your paychecks 

Cons:  
- wished the internships were 1 month each instead of 2 weeks
- wished there was more various hands-on experience like API & mobile 
- wished they had a network of available jobs to assist us with landing our 1st job 
- The job is easy.  Getting the job is hard.  The job market was tough & I sent out around 300+ applications before I landed my first interview.  

I was lucky to graduated from Careerist. This months went really fast. I was enjoying every single class here. All teachers was accommodate and very helpful. I got so much information. All knowledge I received from that school helping me passing interview confident. I just started my search for job and I’m pretty sure I will get my first offer very soon. I started from scratch and I can consider myself as a professional QA engineer . Thank you Careerist for this opportunity. 

I, myself was a non-IT person. I even did not have basic knowledge of technology. I have started with Manual QA course at Careerist, and gradually started to understand tech terminology, tech evolution, and skills sets that I need to acquire for a QA job. At Careerist, they have amazing instructors. They also provide many resources from which one can learn and understand the content completely.  I really appreciate the consistent support, guidance, and help I got throughout my journey from the beginning of the course, during internship, interview preparation, and job search. I have extremely wonderful experience with whole Careerist team, especially Lana Levinsohn, Jefferson Montilla, Benjamin, Hanna Olefirenko and of course Max. I am very thankful to all of them for their time and efforts they put for each student. 


Also, I strongly believe that in this continuously changing world, we have to practice and learn things every day. Careerist provides the best knowledge, resources, and help we required for a job. Now it depends on us(students) that how we make best out of it!

The course I attended at Careerist was QA Manual. I didn't have any QA experience before that or a Computer science degree, which it's hard for me to change work industries. Careerists support all the opportunities to help students to learn the skill they need for a Tech job and provided professional mentorship as well as technical skills training and guidance. They also provided internship experience after graduating from the course. It's like a door open for people who don't have years of IT background and help them step by step to land in the right direction. I appreciate all the help and support from my mentor and all the support provided by the knowledgeable team. And I always believe if you put time and effort into something you have passion for, you will get there eventually. Careerist allowed me to grow into a version of myself more fitting for a career in the technology industry that I didn't think was possible. 

From my experience, I can just talk about what has made me enjoy this bootcamp experience. One of the instructors by the name of Farhan, is a blessing and a great employee to Careerist. I had an issue with the time zone, with another demo and mock presentation instructor, and apparently I did not show up, but I did and he said I didn't pass. Now I was told that my time zone would be different from his and I just followed and listened to what was said to me. Now Farhan saw what happened, and decided to reach out to me to support me with this problem and he did. He took it upon himself to do the Demo and Mock interview, with no hesitation, and he wanted to do it for me, and I appreciate it him big time. Just remember that Farhan did the demo and mocked me at his 7am, from where he was, and my 9pm from where I am. He didn't have to do it but he did, and blessings to him and his family, and this guy is definitely for the people, whenever he can support.
