I am currently enrolled in the Data Science certificate program. It was an intense 10 weeks introduction in the world of Python and Data Science. The leading tutors of the course were knowledgeable, patient, and resourceful. Luis, Malika, and Xiaolei have awaken a curiosity for Math and Statistics in me that I haven't had in years. I am slowly coming into middle-age and I felt fully part of the young cohort. We did activities that reinforced concepts mentioned in class. The highlight for me is that all of the tutors are available even outside class to guide your training. Everyone was 100% giving. I would love to do this again. Working full time and part-time, I am still not tired yet. I can't wait to see where this takes me thanks to BrainStation. And a massive heartfelt appreciation to my tutors for always giving me a chance to catchup. I would endorse this program 1 million times.  Read less

Although one of the more expensive web dev bootcamps, BrainStation really prepared me for my career change into Web Development. I learned JavaScript, Node and React fundamentals a month prior, but the bootcamp helped me grasp these concepts, exposed me to a lot more tools and techniques, and really cemented my understanding through practice and projects. I completed the program with a capstone project I could be proud of and skills that I could use to build a solid portfolio.

This bootcamp won't guarantee students getting a job right away, but it will definitely equip them with the tools they need to succeed. Read less

A great introduction into social media marketing. It was helpful to learn about the tools available, how to use ad mangers on Meta and other platforms. Learn the lingo and see examples. I enjoyed my class and classmates. I would recommend this course for people who are beginners to marketing.  Read less

I attended the Web Development Bootcamp in Fall of last year. When I first started, I didn't know up from down when it came to coding. I was as green as you could be, but when it came time to develop my own full-stack web app during the capstone portion of the program, I surprised myself with just how much I had picked up during the three months of instruction from my teachers and amazing TAs. 

I didn't realize that I would enjoy coding as much as I do, and I'm thankful that my instructors at BrainStation helped me unlock this new passion. If you're looking to try something new, or to make a career pivot and be able to work remotely even post-Covid, I would definitely recommend that you speak with someone at BrainStation. I have already recommended the program to 2 of my friends, one of which recently graduated and the other is about halfway through and both love the challenge.

It isn't for the faint of heart though. You will have some long nights and you will feel lost at times, but your instructors and TAs will be there to help you along. They want you to succeed, so if you take the bootcamp, rely on them to fill in the knowledge gaps.  Read less

I have taken the cybersecurity course that brainstation has to offer because it was recommended by a friend, The sales consultants said you should find a job after taking this course, no problem (as they always do). Now after a year of applying, I could not find a job in the cybersecurity sector. The course cost me around $3297 because I chose the 12 month payment plan. This was a 5 week course, each week has one 8 hour class and cover 1 modules per day, total 5 modules in the remainder of the course. The instructor was very enthusiastic when teaching, and explained certain topics very well, but the over all course does not teach you any technical aspects of the topics they are covering. The only information they provide is the overall descriptions of the security systems. The course does not teach how to use specific security systems. (HOW DO YOU GET SOMEONE "JOB READY" IF YOU DON'T TEACH THEM TO USE THE SYSTEMS THEY ARE GOING TO WORK WITH IN THE FIRST PLACE?) Their claim to get you job ready is a lie. do not fall for their job ready BS at least when it comes to cybersecurity. $3297 for 5 classes is $659.4 per class, which you are paying someone just to listen to them gives you a summary of what cybersecurity is. Brainstation claims they get you job ready, instead when i have emailed a brainstation support for help with job search, they did not even reply back to me. I have learned more about cybersecurity from Google IT Professional certificate course than this pile of dumpster fire, and that course cost only $50 a month on coursera. If you want to get into cyber security and have no experience, go watch some youtube videos on it and get the Google IT Professional certificate, A+ certificate, Security+ certificate, way better investment than this trash Read less

BrainStation's UX Diploma program was very helpful with my pivot into the UX field with no prior design experience. The success of a student will depend on how much they put into the program. It is a very challenging 12-week program and a lot of self-guidance is needed to really hone in on your craft. However, the education team as well as the career success team are very approachable and provide a great amount of support throughout.

My experience was great as I have had the opportunity to successfully complete the program and also become a UX Teaching Assistant. BrainStation has really allowed me to get my foot in the door as a new UX Designer. 

I would highly recommend BrainStation to anyone who is looking to pivot in careers or advance their design skills. Read less

For my situation, it was absolutely worth it. I was able to fill in some knowledge gaps and learn up-to-date technologies in a fast-paced environment by building projects, collaborating with others etc. The instructors were also very helpful and knowledgeable. With the guidance of the educators, I was confident to begin my new career in UX. The workload is heavy & challenging but is conveyed at such a level of detail and care that you never feel over encumbered. My favourite thing about this bootcamp is that every minor idea, concept or tool that is mentioned or covered, is almost immediately put into practice through labs/ homework study. Sure, you'll still be lacking real-world experience, but you'll be aquatinted with all you need to know and feel confident talking about/ interacting with other designers, devs etc... 3 months out and I have my first ever UX position.  Read less

The full-time Data Science bootcamp is both as vast and as concise as it could be for a 12-week program. The curriculum was amazing and focused, as well as truly challenging. The assignments make heavy use of intelligent ambiguity to give you a feel for how real-world projects will go, but the class time will not leave you wondering what to do.

The grading for assignments is thankfully very strict and the level of data scientist they want to see you achieve is evident with the bar that they set using this grading style. This course is not your flimsy “I learned a new thing! Look at me! I’m a fountain of knowledge” type of easy course and you will have to really work nights and weekends to earn your diploma. I wouldn’t have had it any other way — as rigorous as a semester in advanced stats or linear algebra, perhaps! 

Lastly, Daniel, Fallyn, Arad, Boris, and Myles go above and beyond to focus your education and ensure that you don’t fall behind.

Further, the career success team provides the most tips I’ve ever seen to position you for success. Mina specifically was fantastic at this!

The only thing that could be improved is if they had recruiters actively scouting opportunities on your behalf after graduating. Nevertheless, I got what I needed and then some out of the program. Read less

Changed my life! I went through their 3-month full-time web development diploma program and it jump started my career in web development. The quality of learning was incredible, I went through the program completely remote and cannot believe how effective it was. The tech stack they cover is super relevant to the industry right now and is in demand, learning React sets you up to learn many other frontend frameworks easily so it's a great starting point. The educators are AMAZING, not only are they super knowledgable and approachable, but they fostered such a fun and supportive learning environment. I look back on the bootcamp so fondly and a lot has to do with the community they built.

I've been employed from the day I graduated. The job assistance is GOOD, what will make it GREAT is if you take initiative and follow up with the industry professionals they bring in. They give you the tools you need for an effective job search, but you won't land a job unless you're proactive.  Read less

I recently completed an accelerated Product Management course with BrainStation and earned a Certificate I shared on LinkedIn. I recommend this course to professionals interested in becoming or transitioning to a PM role.

Laura Loughran and Blair Fast co-instructed this course. They had abundant knowledge and experience to share in class about startups, large enterprise organizations, and the Product Manager's role. They were also available on Slack outside of class hours to guide projects and answer student questions.

I was impressed with the technical presentation of this course. And for the first time in my educational experience, I interacted with international students outside of Canada. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience! Read less

I recently completed a cyber security bootcamp with Brainstation in December 2021.
Having previously completed several courses and the Security+ I did not expect to learn anything groundbreaking.

I was pleasantly surprised with how well the instructors went through the course material and they spent lots of time answering questions. Both instructors were professionals working in the industry at large companies and from different areas in Cyber Security.

Highly recommend this course for anyone serious about starting a career in the industry
The learning platform was very easy to use and had no technical issues at all.

Brainstation also has very flexible payment options and even provided me with a scholarship to reduce the cost of tuition.

I really enjoyed the data science with Brainstation. Sure it requires time and effort, but so does any coding language. I am really glad I put the effort as I feel confident and motivated in taking up data projects and continuing the journey. The duration of the course was adequate, the exercises given pushed the students to go beyond the scope of the class and the instructors were extremely knowledgeable and supportive with the exercises and the project.
