I recently completed Avocademy's UX/UI Foundations boot camp and it was truly an amazing experience! The curriculum was very comprehensive and well-structured, covering everything from the basics of design to more advanced concepts such as user research, user interface, and prototyping. The instructors were incredibly knowledgeable and experienced in the field of UX/UI design, and they provided excellent mentorship throughout the course. They were always available to answer my questions and provide feedback on my work, which helped me to improve my skills and build my confidence as a designer. I recently completed my UX/UI Design Foundation course at Avocademy. I want to share my great experience with anyone interested in furthering their career in this field. First of all, it is affordable. Secondly, I loved the hands-on and self-pacing learning experience. I recently finished Avocademy's UX/UI Foundations Design bootcamp, and I have to say it was an incredibly rewarding experience. The program was really comprehensive, challenging in a good way, and engaging. 
What I really liked about Avocademy was how easy it was to navigate through the courses and how structured each module was. They had a ton of projects and exercises throughout the course. For some of the modules, there was a lot of reading which made some assigmenets feel super long but if you can get past that, the rest of the program, especially the UI Design modules and assignments were more fun and exciting in my opinion. 
One of the things that helped me the most in this program was being able to have 1 on 1 sessions with the amazing mentors of Avocademy. I got a lot of valuable feedback and advice which helped me optimize my design solutions and refine my aesthetic as a UX Designer.
All in all, I'd definitely recommend Avocademy to anyone looking for a career change into UX/UI Design.  Read less

I've had a great experience with Avocademy so far and I think its a great value for money. I completed the foundations course in December and I really struggled to stay on task because of outside work and complications in my personal life and I really appreciated the way they continued to reach out and work with me on a timeline to make sure I got through the material. The course is full of great information and resources but my favorite thing has been the quality mentor feedback and the access to mentorship in general. The slack channel has also been very helpful and adds to a sense of community which is really great for an online course. Would definitely recommend this course! Read less

If you guys are thinking about taking up a UX/UI Bootcamp, then I highly recommend Avocademy! I literally came from a different background and had no design experience whatsoever, but Avocademy helped me pick up all the needed skills to get started. They make everything so easy to understand! I completed both the UX/UI Foundations and the Career Jumpstart programs, as I wanted to transition into UX design from my previous career. Both were excellent programs at an affordable price relative to competitor bootcamps (which is why I went with Avocademy in the first place), with a great community of fellow students. Foundations gave me a solid introduction into UX design at a self-paced timeline with structure, and Career Jumpstart allowed me to work on real client projects and land a job in the fintech industry two months after I began job hunting. I can't thank the Avocademy founders and mentors enough for their guidance in this career transition, and I'd recommend them a thousand times over for anyone considering UX design!

This program is work ! However it is so worth it if you’re receptive to feedback and do what’s required. I loved having the opportunity to work on real projects with a manager and team of designers. Honestly that’s the easiest part. The job search was long and hard. It can become tedious and frustrating especially in this market. While it’s great to have a network of people going through the same thing as you and get inspiration from them, on the inverse you’ll want to use discernment and take advice from working professionals, not amateurs like you. It can mess with your head. 
Pros: program covers every step of the job process, you don’t feel lost or alone
Cons: group projects can be stressful as maybe all group members haven’t followed the content and can slow you down( however this can happen in real world so good practice). Sometimes mentors can provide conflicting information however if you reach out to the program they are quick to correct it. 
All in all I’m very happy with my experience and grateful to be entering this industry.  Read less

Starting Avocademy was an incredible decision when it came  to transitioning into the UX/UI field. You have the ongoing support to help get you through the program. Foundations is thorough and explains the fundamentals of UX/UI design. You get to work on your own project which you can add to your portfolio. I loved it so much, I am currently enrolled in their Career Jumpstart program. Maca, the creator of Avocademy, is very knowledgeable in what she does, and is great support, as well as her mentors. I was lucky enough to work with her on one of the projects and it was truly a great experience. I don’t think any other program compares to the authentic, supportive engagement and intuitive education that Avocademy brings to the table.  Read less

I completed the UX/UI Foundations and Career Jumpstart programs with Avocademy. After deciding to pursue UX Design as a new career, I did a lot of research on the many bootcamps available online. I needed a program that I could complete while working full-time, and I wasn't willing to pay the high prices of some other bootcamps. After speaking with the founder of Avocademy one on one, I felt this one was different from the other bootcamps. Maca explained the program and answered all of my questions, and the individual attention and mentorship really sold me on Avocademy.  

Specific to Career Jumpstart, the hands-on experience this program provides is crucial for the job hunt. I was able to build out my portfolio with real client work and heavily build on what I learned in Foundations. I received in-depth mentor support throughout the job search that ultimately led to me landing a solid position as a UX Researcher & Designer. Additionally, Maca and the team are always finding ways to improve the course based on student feedback. I completed the Foundations course and joined Career Jumpstart shortly after to build out my portfolio. The course is very well organized and gives you all the tools you need to land a job in product design. 

Instructors: supportive, fast response time, talented
Community: You are able to connect with peers and mentors through Slack. It is a very open and supportive community. 
Job assistance: The course offers unlimited mentorship where you can go over mock interviews and portfolio presentations. It teaches you how to optimize your resume so you can land that first interview. The program sets achievable goals for you so that you apply to enough jobs per month and learn how to interview.

Avocademy is flexible and affordable! When I was deciding on what boot camp to enroll in - my main concerns were cost and time management. Though the cost is much less than other boot camps out there, they still give payment options which make it even more flexible. Since the course is 100% online and self-paced it is very easy to manage. Don't get it twisted - it can be challenging and you still have to put a lot of effort into it but the mentors are always there to guide you. The course content is very accurate in teaching you all the necessary information. Something that could improve is the way your work is reviewed - it can take a while to get it reviewed and the feedback can vary depending on the mentor. Other than that, Avocademy is GREAT! I took the Foundations course first and then enrolled in the Career Jumpstart to work with real clients and gain real-world experience.

I took Avocademy's UX/UI Foundations bootcamp and Career Jumpstart course. Overall, I am very happy I chose to go through Avocademy for my career change into UX Design. Both courses were affordable with a variety of payment options. Foundations was a very insightful learning experience that went in depth on UX/UI design. Coming out of it, I felt I learned a lot of material in a short amount of time. After foundations, I went into career jumpstart which helps translate everything I learned into real-world projects with real clients. Career jumpstart was super helpful in landing my first UX Design job. Even though it is a lot of work, it is also up to students to be as proactive and hands-on as they'd like. The course is helpful not only in gaining real-world experience but also in practicing time management for yourself. The Avocademy mentors are great to work with and very helpful with providing answers, advice, or practice. Even though you may run into some issues throughout the course with clients, feedback, timelines, etc. it is all real-world experience that helped me through my job search and interviewing process. I completed the Avocademy UX/UI Foundations course and then went on to do their Career Jumpstart course. I cannot express how valuable these courses were for my career progression. I came in knowing almost nothing about UX/UI Design, and through these courses was able to advance my knowledge and gain real world experience working on projects as a sole designer, a designer on a team of 6, and a lead designer with direct interactions with my client. These courses fully prepared me for work in this industry and helped me land a job two months into my job search! Read less

I recently completed the Avocademy UX/UI Foundations bootcamp course and loved it! The course was thoughtfully designed with a mix of videos articles/ reading. Each section built on the one previous to it and while we covered a ton of information, it never felt overwhelming or out of reach. The course is designed so that you finish with one complete portfolio project and there are mentors who are available to provide help and guidance along the way whenever needed. I really enjoyed by experience in the foundations course and am current enrolled in Avocademy's Career Jumpstart program! Read less

Truly recommend this program for anyone transitioning into UX/UI!! 
A BIG pro about this program is how affordable it is! Other bootcamps I was looking at were mostly around 16k ....the Foundations course is ~2k! And you are able to do a payment plan.
Another huge pro is that you have ~unlimited~ mentorship throughout the program. The mentors are a HUGE help and you can talk to them anytime on slack, can schedule calls with them about any questions you may have or can request for feedback on any of your work.
Another big pro is that it is self-paced which I LOVED as I was working a full time job and 2 part time jobs. They are very communicative and understanding if anything were to affect your time in the program. i’ve 

The only con is that if you are a “classroom type learner”, this may not be for you. As I said, this is a self placed program and is intended for those who are able to be self motivated.
At the end of it all, I ended with a portfolio made, a very proud project I developed and all the foundational skills I needed to continue as a designer. Read less

Before I started I kept asking myself do I really want to change careers again? Do I want to learn something new and start all over? Once I started those doubts were quickly answered to a resounding YES I DO! Sure there have been days that I’ve cried cause I felt it was really hard, but the mentors and my fellow students are so encouraging and help you sort out your pain points. Which I found to be the most positive experience in education that I’ve ever received! The course is taught in a way that will help you retain all this new information. I felt a solid foundation was formed in the Foundations course, and now that I’m in career jumpstart it’s like it’s all is coming together. I find myself thriving in my projects! It’s the best feeling in the world! When I talked to former students before applying and they explained how their experience was top notch, they weren’t lying! Also I know it’s scary with all these major tech layoffs but remember the top companies do this every couple of years but that doesn’t mean other companies aren’t hiring. You don’t have to work at a FAANG company to be successful. Now the question is are you ready for a life changing career?  Read less
