Aspireship

Complete waste of time. You watch videos which - as somebody else in here said - are really more like a podcast format. There are little super easy quizzes along the way that are very basic common sense questions. You get to the end where there is a 37 question quiz of basically the same previous quiz questions with a few others sprinkled in and they don't let you see what kind of score you received for this final one upon completion like they do with the small quizzes. I missed 1 question throughout all the other quizzes.

The assessments are pretty ridiculous in that you have 2 phone simulations where you're trying to spark interest in a former lead that's gone cold, and a video simulation. The thing that's unreasonable is you read a paragraph detailing the criteria they're looking for - summarizing the concerns the lead has stated, implementing "Above the line" and "Below the line" questioning to qualify the lead, handling requests from the lead that can't be met while still coaxing the lead to make a decision by the end of this call - all the while you're role-playing as an AE for a tech company who's product you have little familiarity with and not to mention it takes a super long time to re-record your attempts (which is going to take quite a few tries to get it just right where you're not fumbling words, etc.).

All in all, there are so many moving parts that the "10%" that pass and get into their hiring network have either got to be seasoned professionals out of a job or taking this concurrently while presently employed. It's free (for 30 days), but you won't ever get your time back. They offer a lifetime subscription after they let you know you didn't make the cut - for $180. No thanks. Read less

As a sales and marketing leader from a non-Saas background, the thoughtful content presented in the SaaS Sales Foundations course equipped me with an understanding of both the SaaS business in general and the Individual sales roles specifically. After the course and assessment were completed, I received tons of support and opportunities with hiring partners, but there is no catch, no obligation to accept one of these opportunities. I discovered Aspireship while googling SaaS bootcamps -- and I couldn't be more thankful that I did.

After recently leaving a 9 year career in Real Estate sales, I was looking to make the switch into a SaaS role. Applications everywhere were highlighting SaaS experience as a big consideration. While I had sales experience, I didn't speak the language and I wasn't confident on how to translate my skills to a new industry. I looked into boot camps to help me cross the divide. 

Aspireship was recommended as a top option on a couple websites. Their website was attractive, and better yet, their pricing -- free, as long as you complete the course within 30 days -- was the unicorn that drew me in. I signed up, but it wasn't until I saw folks shouting them out left and right on LinkedIn that I made the commitment to complete the course. 

The course is primarily a string of videos from top SaaS voices with short quizzes at the end, but the videos are both engaging and thorough. While it's labeled SaaS fundamentals, the course is best geared toward supporting Account Executive and other sales roles. Still -- you gain a lot of insight about the industry, the lingo, and core skills that can support success. I loved watching videos with "Skip" Miller so much that I requested his book about outbound prospecting as a holiday gift (and got it, woohoo!). 

You can complete the course in as little as two weeks; I know folks who were able to knock it out in less. The capstone practice / final projects are great for putting your skills to use! In interview assessments that followed my application (common in SaaS sales), I was able to solidly demo products using the tips I picked up and leaning back on my practice from the course. I landed an Account Executive role at my top pick within a few weeks of completing the program. 

Some bonuses, but still major parts of their success: 

• Their team members are SO kind, encouraging, and supportive. From the CEO to the communication specialists, they're very committed to your success. 
• The community that they've created raves about them. You will see program graduates and top sales voices shouting out Aspireship across LinkedIn. There's a slack channel that they invite graduates to for extra discussion and feedback. 
• They host regular, added learning opportunities to continue developing your skills post-grad. The topics are relevant and empowering. They store all of these in their Aspireship library if you do decide to purchase a membership.

I happened upon Aspireship serendipitously while job hunting, and a few short weeks later I’m starting a completely new career. The course itself was interesting, engaging, and you can go at your own pace. I would listen on my commute to and from work, and completed the course in about 3 weeks. I was a teacher for 7 years and knew nothing about customer success, or anything outside of the world of education. The content was so easy to understand and the self paced layout was perfect for my busy, sleep deprived life at the moment, as I started this course RIGHT AFTER having a baby. I felt prepared and ready to enter an entirely new world after finishing this course!

After 16 years of teaching middle school, I really needed a change.  After already having a Master's degree in education, I had contemplated going back to college in my 40's to start a new career.  Enter Aspireship!  I'm forever grateful for Aspireship because it transformed my career path towards becoming a Customer Success Manager.  I took both the Aspireship CSM1, CSM2, and the SaaS courses, and I cannot recommend them more.  $180 was a VERY SMALL investment in myself to explore new career opportunities in the tech industry.  Most other bootcamps are much more expensive.  I've taken a lot of LinkedIn learning courses also as the teacher in me is a life-long learner, but I always came back to the Aspireship videos in the content library because they are put together extremely well.  They didn't feel like they were talking at me or a boring lecture--much more of a discussion with leaders in the industry.  

Reasons Aspireship is great: 
*It is self-paced.  The digital platform's flexibility is streamlined and self-paced learning.  You can do it on your own terms while still working a full-time job.  
*Lessons were enlightening and more interesting than other LinkedIn learning courses
*The program's affordability is really refreshing. 
*Each video lesson is typically between 30-60 minutes and then there is a 5 question quiz for the section. 
*The final exam has practice scenarios that a CSM could encounter, where I recorded a mock video of myself playing the role as a CSM.  These scenarios prepared me well for job interviews.
*Aspireship also offers 1-1 candidate support with interview prep sessions (extra fee).  I did this one time because I just hadn't interviewed in a long time.  Aspireship gave me pointed answers on how to answer the question of why I wanted to leave teaching and be a CSM.  
*Once you've passed their courses, hiring partner's can see your match profile, substantially boosting your employment prospects.  and help you get a job.
*Employees seem genuinely wanting to help you get a job in the tech industry.
*They use Slack to help connect with other job seekers on the same journey.  The job search is extremely lonely so it helps to find a buddy who is also in the same boat.  
*They continually are rolling out new things.  Since I joined they added a CSM intensive course, a SaaS intensive course, and a RevOps course.  

I cannot recommend Aspireship more!  For the money, you get a whole lot of value and a supportive community that will cheer for you when you break into the tech industry.   Read less

I recently had the pleasure of attending Asipreship, and I must say it was an incredible experience. From start to finish, the staff and resources provided were top-notch, and I could not be more pleased with my overall experience. The curriculum was well-structured and included a combination of lectures, exercises, and hands-on projects that allowed me to put my new skills into practice. I had to be patient about the time that I was applying for companies with Aspireship but in the end it worked out well.  Summer hours tend to be a lot slower for job placement.  But in the end this company came through.  Not only with placement but resume help, grammar, sales videos and content,  interview help and much more.  If you are serious about tech sales and sales in general this is the way to go hands down.  In a world where many company's ask for money up front or income based % of your salary this company is doing it the right way. 5/5 would recommend. The course was such a treat! The whole Aspireship team, along with MAGGIE, are phenomenal and a wealth of knowledge and inspiration. 

I have no prior sales experience so it was a lot to take in, and felt overwhelming at times, but it was very informative and helpful and taught me so much. They really go in depth to the foundations of sales so it was really good for a beginner like me 🙂

You get on demand video training by top sales reps. I enjoyed all the classes and they helped me a lot, I had some sales background but no formal training.
After finishing it, I immediately noticed a better approach to sales and closed more deals.

  As I began my journey into Tech last year after leaving the hospitality industry, I didn't really know where to begin.  After doing research and taking different courses, I thought Aspireship and SaaS Sales might be a great way for me to start in my journey into Tech and apply my previous skill set. Immediately after joining the program I was contacted by the team to welcome me and offer assistance if needed.  The course work is comprehensive and I really enjoy the site content and Thursday Live! sessions with various leaders in Sales. 
    Once I passed the Aspireship assessment and had my Grad Call with with my designated hiring partner, I finished the necessary items to create my profile and then I started to receive opportunities. What can often be a perplexing and anxiety ridden hiring journey was made simple and smooth, with an emphasis on finding a position that was a perfect fit for me. I can not recommend Aspireship enough. I was feeling stuck in my former position. I was tired of applying on HUNDREDS of job applications. Then my brother recommended that I check out Aspireship. When I originally heard about Aspireship, I thought it almost sounded too good to be true. I'm glad to report that it isn't. After I completed the course, passed, and had my grad interview I was set up with interviews the following week, and I had a job offer a week after that. Now, I'm working in a job I genuinely enjoy for an incredible company. I'm very thankful for Aspireship. Their team was incredibly helpful, and my experience was great.
