What do you like best?

I used Udacity to learn Intro to Self Driving Nano Degree Program and Self Driving Nano Degree (SDND) Program. I liked the way they have created the content from basics to more advanced and complex concepts. They had online work-space setup to solve the problems. This helped me understand the concepts in a better way. The way the course was organized made it easy for me to grasp the concepts quickly and implement them efficiently. Plus they have real life projects based on autonomous vehicles, this helped me build a great portfolio to showcase to my new employers and helped me in the job change.

Because of this I also enrolled in Sensor Fusion Nano Degree (SFND) Program with them again.

 

What do you dislike?

In the Intro to SDND program they had assigned one to one mentor for each candidate, this helped me solve my problems quickly, but in the SDND program they took away the personal 1:1 mentor concept instead they introduced student hub where students plus few mentors would solve your problem collectively. This caused some problems as our conversations were lost there and sometimes the questions remained unanswered. They should improve the student hub as it is not much user friendly.

Another thing that I disliked about them is the setup to run the programs on local machine for windows user is not much intuitive. I faced lot of issues while setting up the work-space locally on my machine. They setup for Ubuntu users is pretty simple and straightforward. Later to counter this issue I bought a workstation and created a dual boot Ubuntu system for the Sensor Fusion Nano Degree (SFND) Program.

They have LinkedIn, GitHub review services included in the SDND program. They also have career services that can help you with your job search once you are done with the coursework. One thing I disliked about this was there should be an option to opt out of GitHub and LinkedIn review temporarily. Due to time constraints I skipped Github review during SDND program, now I don't have it available when I bought SFND program, I will have to pay extra to buy it separately. They had clearly mentioned about this, but they should take into consideration personal constraints and allow us to postpone it within the one year after the graduation from the course. This would be really helpful.

 

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I would suggest having a little bit knowledge about Ubuntu, bash scripting basics and at least a dual boot PC with Ubuntu as one of the OS, and using it for the coursework.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am an engineer and I wanted to learn the engineering behind Self Driving cars and wanted to switch my career in the autonomous vehicles field. The concepts taught in this course are directly applied in the field. This helped me understand the engineering behind autonomous vehicles. I was able to create my own project portfolio. This helped me change my job which led to salary and benefit increment.

I started the android developer course with zero knowledge about app programming. Despite this it was possible for me to learn basics and programm a simple cheering up app for a birthday present. Besides this I am now ready to develope my programming skils and work as an intern or junior specialist. During the course I have been learning many practical things. When I wasn't able to manage the course tasks I could always ask my mentor who was very helpful. After every project I always got valuable feedback. And what is more if I got tired or stucked on some task I could watch a motivation videos or talk to someone on slack.

I took the Full Stack Web Developer program in Udacity for three months. it was totally worth. I didn't have experience with databases and servers. But the lessons were clear and you can build your first app just following the videos. 

My mentor helped me a lot, especially with the last project, deploying the app in AWS. Also the projects ar reviwe in just hours, which makes easier to finish each lesson

Hello, I'm Mostafa. I was graduated from Udacity Course (introduction to programming). It was very enjoyable, and I have benefited from this course. It's nice way to begin in web, AI programming and game development. We studied about 4 programming languages and it's HTML, CSS, Javascript, Python. it's only for beginners and from the name of course it's just introduction. It helped me much in finding a job, and make my CV very rich. The only thing I consider it from the cons is lack of projects that I have to do, it's only 3 projects. I wanted more projects to do for practicing.

I completed the Google Developer Androd Basics Nanodegree at Udacity.  I started with very little coding experience.  The course was really exceptionally well-made for my level of knowledge.  The course goes right into the very basics, but explains all concepts in a clear and engaging way, using both visual and audio cues.  Along the way the course also addresses things like dealing with steep learning curves and impostor syndrome to prevent people getting discouraged, and there are lively forums and Slack discussions to foster a sense of community among students where everyone helps each other to succeed.  The mentors are also helpful.  From a basis of almost zero, by the end of the course I felt very comfortable designing and building simple apps, and as a result, I managed to get a fairly coding-heavy IT job two weeks after completion.  This is a great course that I can definitely recommend.

I attended both terms of Udacity Data Science Nanodegree. Compored to other e-learning platforms, I was surprised by the huge great amount of contents, as well as their quality. The first part of the course was mainly related to machine learning algorithms, the second part to software engineering and developer best practices. Both theoretical and practical aspects are well explained ann each project allows you to apply what you have learned in a very useful way.

It is a very job-oriented course, it helped me a lot in terms of data science skills that I applied in may day-by-day activities. I can only suggest those who want to start their career as data scientist to apply to this wonderful nanodegree!

I complete the Deep Learning Nanodegree foundation and have to say it was one of the best online learning course I have taken so far. The course teachers focus on building up your intuition about how neural networks work first and the slowly transition to more advanced topics through hands on programming exercises. The feedback on your course submissions is super fast and helpful, too. I enjoyed this course so much that I signed up for AI Nanodegree afterwards and I was glad I did. It was excellent, too!

Nanodegree was pretty intense for me and sometimes I couldn't keep up as much as I would like. I worked hard to understand the concepts and subjects covered, even though I knew I would not use them so often in my daily life. The program exceeded my expectations as I came to better understand how a neural network works and how powerful this tool is. I really enjoyed this nanodegree and recommend it to anyone interested to do so. It is very worth it!

This course changed my life, I know coding before Joining this course but when I opened my classroom then I got to know how to learn and what to learn? Because the course was relevant to the time and properly formatted, And a student get 1 To 1 Mentor to clear confusion and also we get slack worksapace and a forum to discuss. Udacity also select mentors among us to lead this helps in building leadership qualities. I was also mentor of my branch for a slack channel. The course was tough because you cant cheat in practical projects because your project is being reviewed by a human not AI. Overall a life changing course if you are desperate in starting or kickstarting your career. Read less

I was one of the thousands of Africans that signed up for the Google Africa Scholarship (AKA ALC 3.0). The scholarship is 100% online and scholars learn online using the Udacity platform. The Udacity platform is amazing, I liked a lot to watch the course materials and the quizzes. The content needs to be updated to teach modern approaches. I enjoyed to learn to code with the Udacity support, the mentor's feedback was a plus, a lot of good insights there, really good.

I believe that Udacity is the best place to learn new things on the technology side. I learned about business analytics and predictive analytics for business. They give you short videos that have all the information you need in a simple way. My plan is to get more than 6 nano degrees through Udacity and I recommend you to join and start learning.

The oportunities Udacity provides are amazing. I've already done 2 Nanodegrees and using the learned in my day by day job. I believe the quiality of my work is much better after passing courses in Udacity. The investment in the Nanodegrees paid out as faster and more robust solutions from my side resulting in happier clients. Course materials are perfect, videos professionally done, exercises build up complexity as you go, content is oriented on quality. I'm always trying to find time to start new course and recommending Udacity to colleagues.

I went into this course expecting to learn Python. Having finished the course, I find I have learned a lot more: • Python (in-depth),  • Ndarrays, etc. using NumPy, • DataFrames, etc. using Pandas,  • Working with many other NoSQL structures • A more powerful SQL language: PostgreSQL • Unix Shell commands • Git   Perhaps even more importantly (and unexpectedly), I learned a bunch of really useful techniques to use in the coding world such as: • How to routinely work with other contributors using Git and GitHub,  • Using a Shell terminal with Git Bash and Anaconda packages, • Using code editors: Atom and Visual Studio Code,  • Using program output to feed Excel charts  • Using Excel charts to make compelling Powerpoint slides, • Adding links to Google and Markdown Docs,  • How to preview results in real time when writing Markdown docs,  • Creating good README.md files and many other best practices   The projects were well done and very effective in helping me apply the lessons learned in the course.  I especially appreciated the Python project using just under a million real-life records of bikeshare usage data.  After looking back and thinking about what I learned, to say that I highly recommend this course would be an understatement!
