The problems are really tough to solve. I solved close to 700 problems on data strcutures and did 10 projects on data science which were enough to draw attention of the recruiters. Currently i am working under data science wing of paytm, which i got in through the academy only. We were provided at least 15-20 referrals each for the placement. I got here at a 17 LPA package which is more than enough as a fresher. I believe in the program. Itts absolute best program out there. I would say the only program that i would really trust ! I had no experience in coding, Kuch nahi aata tha literally. Computer science kar to rha tha but honestly aata kuch nahi tha. When i was in 4th Year Saw people around me getting placed. Had no hope Honestly suicidal thoughts aarhe the. How do i tell when your parents put 15-20 Lakhs in your btech and koi opportunity nahi grab kar paa rha hu. My Honest Experience from December 2024 Batch

Hey everyone,
I don’t usually write such posts, but when a company plays with students' careers and misleads them just for money — someone has to speak up. And today, that someone is me.

🎯 The “Pay After Placement” Trap — A Big Fat Lie

The Skillians lures students with the promise of “pay after placement” and minimum 8 LPA packages. Sounds tempting, right?
But here’s what really happens:

• They ask for an upfront fee of ₹17,000
• After payment, there is no one to hear you or guide you.
• You’re left chasing people who won’t answer, deliver, or even listen

👨‍🏫 Joined as a December 2024 Batch Student

I enrolled in December 2024, expecting mentorship, good curriculum, and placement help.
But mind you, I’m not a beginner — I’ve been working as a Software Developer at a startup since September 2024, and I joined this just to get structured placement help from a team that claimed to have industry mentors from top tech companies.


Instead, I was shocked by how amateur everything was.

🎙️ Poor Classes, No Teaching Standards

• Some mentors didn’t even have working microphones — their sessions were unbearable to attend
• No proper slides, flow, or concept clarity
• Most mentors seemed like college students hired on a budget, not experienced industry folks as promised

🧪 Tests? More Like Confusion Traps

• Tests were scheduled on Evalgator, but there were no clear instructions on how or when to attend
• You need to schedule it yourself without guidance
• Email info vs reality? Completely different
• Notices about tests were sent just 2 to 7 days before, leaving students unprepared and stressed

It honestly feels like they’re intentionally creating confusion to filter students out and claim fake success with a few.

📢 Discord: A Messy Dumpster of Announcements

All communication happens in a single Discord channel — a chaotic mess of student and admin messages.


We repeatedly requested a separate “Announcements” channel, but they didn’t care.
Even the learning platform (Edmingle) has dedicated Announcements and Tests sections, but they remain completely unused.

☎️ Support That Doesn’t Support

Trying to contact support?
Good luck. Most of the time they don’t answer. And when they do, you’ll hear something like:


You’re running a paid edtech company, taking money from students — how is this even okay?

🧨 Hidden Tricks to Cut Students

What’s worse?
They keep changing rules mid-course, adding tricky test criteria, and pushing deadlines without structure.
It’s like they want to eliminate as many students as possible, so they can show better placement stats with fewer people.


They even ask students to void terms & conditions, just to avoid responsibility. Completely unethical.

💸 Better Courses Exist — For Less Than Half the Price

They charged us ₹17K upfront fees, rest will be after placement, for this chaos. Meanwhile, in the real world:

• DSA full course = ₹3K
• Web Dev complete = ₹4K With better mentors, cleaner platforms, and actual learning.

We joined The Skillians only because of their placement company tie-ups, but even that’s turning out to be a false hope.

💔 Final Thoughts — Please Don’t Fall for It

Before joining, I checked everywhere — no negative reviews, and I thought maybe they’re new and still building.
But now I know: they’re not building anything real, just selling dreams and collecting fees.


If you’re reading this and thinking I’m exaggerating — go ahead, try enrolling.
Or better: talk to current batch students. The truth is right there.

🚫 My Strong Recommendation

DO NOT JOIN or recommend The Skillians to anyone.
They’ve misled, mismanaged, and even looted students by delivering a service that doesn’t come close to what they promise.
Other edtech startups are doing far better — with real mentors, structured courses, and responsible teams.

My experience at The Skillians was a total disappointment. This institution made big claims about their course quality, job placement assistance and career support, but none of these were delivered. Here are the main issues I faced.

False Promises: The school assured me that the curriculum would be comprehensive as well as up-to-the-minute for a career in technology. However, the materials we studied were obsolete and did not meet present requirements of the industry.

Unqualified Instructors: There was no way that instructors who were untrained or inexperienced could ever be effective teachers. They were poor mentors and failed to answer simple questions regarding any subject related to what they taught.

Lack of Support: The customer care team was unsupportive and unresponsive. Nonetheless, I reached out to them several times seeking help with my class work and direction into my future career only to get little or no attention.

Fraudulent Practices: It turned out that many of the positive reviews and testimonials about the institution had been faked.

 Therefore, this deceptive act resulted in many people including me being tricked into thinking it is credible.Financial Loss: Given how poor education was here as well as absence of promised job placements services. these fees demanded from us were too much in fact it was money misplaced. I feel like I have been cheated economically.No Job

The comprehensive curriculum encompassed all essential elements, negating the need to seek external resources. It provided more than enough to secure that first job and set us on a path toward professional growth.
