SV Academy

SV Academy is a boot camp that not only focuses on the skills of an SDR but the skills to be hirable in the tech field.  The mentors are supportive and the feedback given is constructive.  Make no mistake that it is a lot of work that they expect you to complete in a relatively short time frame most of it self-motivated.  The coursework is laid out cleanly and precisely and if you follow the steps you will be successful.  This is a great program for anyone looking to level up their life or transition into a new career. Through their coursework, I was able to see how my communication skills translate to value in direct tech sales! I was also immersed in the use of tech tools that SDRs employ and I now have real internship experience in the role as well. This program has altered the course of my life. I now have a career thanks to the step-by-step program offered by SVA. I was given tools to apply, interview, and work in all kinds of tech companies. I felt supported the whole way, and even though the cost isn't cheap, it is flexible to pay off, and I appreciate the flexibility on when you can start paying and how you can pay it off. I also enjoy the feeling of support knowing I am matched with a mentor and a coach during the start of my training and throughout my new career. At first I thought it was a scam, just never thought an institute would provide all that it claimed in their ads. But I read more reviews and then met an Alumni that was doing VERY well with a job she got after attending SV and I told myself " What would I lose if I try?" and I did. AND it is to my surprise from day one I was impressed by the quality of the program and the reassurance to all of us as students. Wait, you said we do not have to pay anything until we graduate and land a job? wait, you said we will have a career transition coach up to one year? wait, you said we will get all the support we need during the program from amazing PMs? 
Everything they promised happened and I am extremely thankful for the opportunity and for calling myself an SVA Alumni. It is the best decision I have made in my life, I met amazing Program mangers and classmates and will keep those relationships forever. I have to say my program manager Steven was the absolute BEST; he made all of us feel we belong, we belong to the Tech world. A world we are just getting introduced to and want to be part of. Steven's knowledge, kindness and support make him special. I want to say to my classmates, you all made attending the live sessions worth it and will cherish those friendships forever. At the end, to those reading my feedback, if you are TRULY thinking about getting into Tech and do not know how or where to start; do not go too far SV Academy is your place. My time in the Customer Success program at SV Academy was very fast-paced and at times completely overwhelming. But I worked through my pain points and found a true support system and reaffirmed the fact that 'I CAN DO HARD THINGS!' The course is empowering. They help give you the tools to build your network it would take years to connect on your own and refine your image to market it to the tech industry to put your best foot forward. I have met some truly amazing people through this and can't say enough good things about it. I am just about to graduate from the program and I am beyond excited to begin the job search! I recently graduated from the Customer Success Fellowship with SV Academy! My overall experience was amazing. I met so many great people during this time and learned a wealth of knowledge. As someone with no sales experience looking to go into sales, I found SV Academy to be just the right fit to introduce me to the field. With an internship with a tech company and real-world practice, the courses, and the video classes come together in a way that makes me way less scared to pursue this career. There were courses on interviewing as well, with ideas that were new to me that could potentially hurt an opportunity if I hadn't learned them here. A course is completely devoted to emotional intelligence. Not only do you learn what is it, but you are also given practices and techniques to improve on yourself as well as ways to demonstrate these new skills to others.
Overall, I am glad I took the leap to participate in this program. I don't have to worry about paying for the course until I have a job. A DTA takes the stress of payment taken off my back. Just Learn, apply and pay later.  Read less

My experience with SV Academy was good overall. You learn a lot about the program. The people I met were very intelligent and professional. There are some challenging assignments but I enjoyed doing them. It is a great program for anyone who may have experience in the tech world. If you are not experienced in tech, you may struggle with finding employment. you must shine with other experiences to win over the competition. Read less

SV Academy was a great experience. I learned many skills that prepared me for going into tech sales. There was a lot of information to retain. A part of the training is mindfulness and I believe that was one of the most important things that I learned. SV is very helpful and supportive during the interviewing process. I was given a mentor and I will say that was such a blessing. He always showed up with positive energy and great information to share. A great option to take out of the others because they teach you what you need to know in union with what's going on in today's tech jobs and help you build confidence, working knowledge, and interview preparedness for a role in Tech Sales. Leaving SV isn't really leaving, as you end up with a large community of supporters and that is priceless. Read less
