SheCodes is a technical skill training provider for women offering online, hands-on coding workshops and a self-paced Professional Developer Bootcamp. The workshops and bootcamp are flexible and designed to fit around a student’s schedule, moving away from traditional, rigid learning methods. The bootcamp curriculum covers HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, OOP, AI, and more. The workshops cover how to effectively communicate with developers, how to become a front end developer, advanced Python skills, and how to break into tech. Students learn through bite-size lessons followed by practical challenges to reinforce their learning. Each week, professional developers review homework assignments. At the end of each workshop, students will build real-life projects like websites and web applications to add to their professional portfolio and impress future employers.
All of SheCodes workshops are beginner-friendly and self-paced. Women of any age are welcome to enroll. There are various packages that students can purchase depending on their coding needs and existing skill level.
At SheCodes, students have access to an online community of 200,000 women technologists. Students who complete the Professional Developer Bootcamp will receive a Verified Diploma upon graduation.

I attended a free SheCodes class at a really low point in the pandemic for my mental health. After the free workshop, I became increasingly interested in the career possibilities of a switch to working in tech. The flexibility of SheCodes allows me to work toward a dedicated goal, without entirely consuming my life.

It is an incredible experience, easy to learn with short video explanations and after that a challenge or homework that gives you the opportunity to immediately practice what you learned. SheCodes Basic Workshop
I completed SheCodes Basic last week, and I've just started the next course SheCodes Plus. Four weeks ago I had never coded in my life, and I was convinced it was something that required a high level of math to be able to figure out, so I never imagined that after just 3 weeks of SheCodes basic I could build basic projects and write basic HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
The instruction is great. Matt makes it very understandable and fun, and uses good examples to get his point across. Each lesson has an accompanying challenge that let's you test out what you just learned, which works really well. The rest of the SheCodes team are also really helpful, always willing to give advice and instructions on Slack.
