SheCodes is a technical skill training provider for women offering online, hands-on coding workshops and a self-paced Professional Developer Bootcamp. The workshops and bootcamp are flexible and designed to fit around a student’s schedule, moving away from traditional, rigid learning methods. The bootcamp curriculum covers HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, OOP, AI, and more. The workshops cover how to effectively communicate with developers, how to become a front end developer, advanced Python skills, and how to break into tech. Students learn through bite-size lessons followed by practical challenges to reinforce their learning. Each week, professional developers review homework assignments. At the end of each workshop, students will build real-life projects like websites and web applications to add to their professional portfolio and impress future employers.
All of SheCodes workshops are beginner-friendly and self-paced. Women of any age are welcome to enroll. There are various packages that students can purchase depending on their coding needs and existing skill level.
At SheCodes, students have access to an online community of 200,000 women technologists. Students who complete the Professional Developer Bootcamp will receive a Verified Diploma upon graduation.

I have been trying to learn how to code for about 6 years as I needed it for my job. However, I always gave up because the courses were too boring, too fast, too slow, not fun enough, going straight into technical stuff.
Then I came across SheCodes and it sounded like the right approach for me. I signed up and really liked the classes.
🤓 The format of the lessons is short enough to keep you focused.
🚆 You can speed or slow down the pace of the speech in the lessons.
🥳 There are small challenges at almost every lesson which are made in a fun way.
👩💻 You can just copy their examples, so you don't need to spend time on the creative design of a project if you don't want to.
📞The team is very responsive on Slack and helping you with technical as well as admin questions.
It took me longer than recommended to finish my project because I was too busy, but the team still reviewed my assessment and supported me.

I stumbled upon the SheCodes workshops by accident, but it feels like it was the perfect opportunity at just the right time. I tentatively registered for the free class but was hopeful. Between the lessons, community chat, and encouragement from Matt to do more research on the material we were learning- I was hooked! Coding never seemed accessible and so I never knew I would hold any interest in it. SheCodes took the intimidation, self-doubt, and mystery away.
