I had been thinking quite a lot about starting to learn how to code but didn't really get into it with the books and courses I had. Finding SheCodes was the best that could have happened to me. I so much enjoyed learning step by step the basics with the videos and challenges. Everything was easy to follow but still challenging. A great mix. Can't wait to start with the next course and dive further into the world of coding. Thank you Matt and the SheCodes Team for this amazing opportunity.

The lesson structure is amazing and Matt makes everything really clear so even if you have no prior coding knowledge you can follow them really easily and start coding straight away! The taster that is offered which is 1 hour of basic coding from Matt is amazing as you get a sense of what you will be doing and you can make an informed decision about whether or not coding is for you. The staff on hand is also impressive, if you are ever stuck you can jump on slack and ask! You will get a very informed answer and also be told what you have done that could be causing the issues ( especially when it comes to Javascript) As well as this you learn how to host websites and also the best practices to make sure you won't lose anything that you have done (GitHub has saved my life so many times, join and you will learn how) 

Certainly one of the most fulfilling workshop that i've ever done. I can't possibly believe that someone like me who has zero coding knowledge would be able to create my own landing page in just 3weeks. I really enjoyed learning HTML, CSS and Javascript even in short span of time. I also found the course well-paced and the resources were clear and concise. Matt were such a passionate and excellent instructor. He's super helpful and the rest of the SheCodes team in Slack including the students. I'm sooo blessed that i took this class. 👩🏻‍💻” 

I took the SheCodes Basic workshop and it was ag reat workshop. Very clear and easy to follow along. I feel like I gained a basic understanding of HTML, CSS & Javascript and can't wait to learn more during SheCodes Pro.

SheCodes is one of my favourite course that I had attended so far. It is amazing. It is good for beginners like me who has zero background knowledge of codes; HTML/ JS/ CSS. 

Matt did an excellent job in delivering the online class to us. I’m able to rewatch as many times as I can to get myself clear on the content of the particular curriculum. 

Backend staff serves me well too when I encountered issues on admin. Replies were fast and concise.

I can’t remember the last time I was so engaged in learning. Being able to work at my own pace and schedule made the experience so much easier. I really do feel more confident in myself now that I’ve learned the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Can’t wait to explore more with my next workshop!

SheCodes Basic gave me an excellent opportunity to understand the basics of HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I strongly recommend this course to those who curious about coding.

 I enjoyed this course, it maked me feel more comfortable with coding and in pursuing a job on this. I will definetly recommend this workshop and continue learning more. 

I highly recommend it to everyone who wants to start their adventure with coding, but also to those who just need some practice ;-) Great worskshops, fantastic platform! Homework projects aren't just copy&paste, you need to learn how to think outside the box when looking for a solution.

I am glad I took this beginners work shop, it really showed me what coding is like. It was challenging and frustrating at times, but the group in our slack chat helped out a lot, especially João advice! It really helped me out. I recommend this workshop to anyone who is curious about coding! I went in not knowing a single thing! So, if you're like me and you want to experience what it's like, join SheCodes!

Intro to HTML, CSS, JavaScript. SheCodes is fantastic – Matt is a great teacher who keeps you engaged while moving at the perfect pace. I can't wait to move on to SheCodes Plus and the other more advanced courses they offer.

 I’ve always wondered how coding works…I guess I’ve never had the chance to have a look into it. Generally, when you talk to IT guys, it is all about “yes, we can do this or that” but of course you don’t really talk about how, cause probably it is more complicated to tell than to do. Therefore, the “coding world” keeps hiding into this mystery bubble. Thank you to Matt and the SheCodes Team! The mystery is finally being revealed to me Great experience! Looking forward next week to get more knowledge. There is still a lot to be done!

I'm a SheCodes Basic graduate, but am currently still a student because I bought SheCodes Pro for sale. I'm using SheCodes as a stepping stone in switching majors and transferring colleges, and it's serving it's purpose very well: To give me a taste of what my future job as a web developer is all about, and prepare me for the concepts I will learn in college. So far, I am greatly pleased with the layout of the course! While you can (and should) find a lot of the information Matt teaches on coding wikis and websites, in my opinion, all that coding bootcamps should do is give you some structure and feedback along with your learning experience, which a lot of students find they need to adequately learn, myself included. Matt explains things well and even sprinkles a little humor in his videos. With that said, I think this is a great starter course, <strong> BUT</strong> I doubt that it can be the only tool under your belt if you want to break into the tech industry. If you're unsure about the course and know nothing about HTML, CSS or JavaScript, I recommend trying the three-week basics course, and if you like that then you can upgrade. The layout for all the courses after that is just like the basics course, so you'll know what to expect. Overall I can't complain. I love how you can kinda go at your own pace, but you also have deadlines to meet. I do wish there was a little more feedback on the homework- all I really get is whether or not my submission was valid. I want to learn how to make my code cleaner and I wish I could receive an annotated version of my solutions and homework, to see how professionals would code it. Other than that I'm mainly here for the structure and challenges which are amazing.
