This course has made learning how to code so fun and exciting. I've always been hesitant on taking coding bootcamps due to lack of time but I absolutely love how this is structured to be for people who are in school or in the workforce full time. Matt explains things in a clear and concise way and the real time assistance via Slack gives me reassurance for whenever I run into issues. This workshop was absolutely awsome! I had so much fun doing it!🤩 For someone who knew 0 about coding, after 3 weeks of learning, I created my very first landing page! I feel so proud of myself! 😁 The workshop is structured in such a way that you keep motivated until the very end. Slack (chat tool) is a great way to help us not feel "lost" during the workshop and share our doubts and get help whenever needed! “Brilliant! I had been toying with the idea of studying code for a while but I was reluctant as I had no previous experience whatsoever with coding and I had no idea if it would be something I could actually do, or enjoy. I watched the SheCodes Express and decided that I would give it a go. It turns out I enjoyed this 3 weeks more than I was expecting as the videos are easy to follow, Matt gives you great advice and if we get stuck, we can always count on the team to help us out on Slack. Uau! This workshop was such an adventure!

I loved every part of it... There is something really unique and special about coding and seeing one's ideias become reality with a "simple" line of code.

I know what you are thinking... "SIMPLE?? Hummm Hummm...Have you forgotten about "addEventListener" or "function whatIsWrongWithMyCode"???"

No I haven´t! And yes, I will have to admit that it was not that simple all the times...
Therefore I shall rephrase it to "challenging yet adventurous!"

There is something really unique and special about coding and seeing one's ideias become reality with a "challenging yet adventurous" line of code (Indeed, much more accurate!)
 
But in the end, I really enjoyed this workshop and I can´t wait to learn more about coding.

As an absolute beginner to coding, I was a bit nervous about starting this course. The videos by teacher Matt are laid down in a carefully thought out step-by-step logic, followed by published resources and individual challenges that help you organize and cement the new knowledge. Once you get started your confidence starts to build up as you see what you are learning transferred into reality, its really gratifying.
Also, a really quality support team available to the students works as an awesome safety blanket. Loved it, recommend it 100%.  Read less

Greetings! My name is Alessandra and I am a brazilian translator who is very involved with languages. This time, I decided to learn a different type of language and I am simply thankful for the existence of SheCodes coding workshops and for the amazing quality of material and support. I loved the SheCodes workshop. It's an excellent introduction to coding. Matt is a great teacher, and the videos are easy to understand. I had this interest in coding and I decided to aplly to the SheCodes Workshop.I loved the workshop. It's actually possible for someone without any background to learn how to code. Matt is a great teacher, the videos are really easy to understand and the challenges allow you to put in practice what you learn in each session. It's a great way to start coding. Read less

Shecodes Workshop is a super complete and interesting course for those who want to start to know the world of coding. Although I do not think that in the near future I will have a position in this area, I think that having this type of skills has a lot of advantages in any job because we live in an increasingly digital world, knowing the minimum and having coding bases is great for any career.  Read less

This course was the perfect fit for me! I wanted to learn web development more in-depth, but I needed guidance and some pressure not to procrastinate however, I couldn't spend a lot of money on a coding Bootcamp. The course is very well structured and covers many topics in such a short time, which requires dedication on our part.
Although it was online and we could do it at our own pace, we had the slack chat which helped in feeling part of the class. Matt's English is very good and the classes are spoken at a good pace and you can understand everything very well. Any questions we had we could ask on slack and one of the instructors or even the students would respond briefly. I found it was very helpful this method of asking questions in slack because I would see my colleagues doubts and if I couldn't help them, I would see what the instructors answered and learned a little more. Also when the homework was submitted it appeared on slack and it helped me in keeping my motivation because I didn't want to fall behind. All the people I talked to were very friendly and ready to help.
In our profile, there's a career handbook which aims at helping us find a job with the new skills we have learnt. Thus, I do believe that we get a lot of value for the price we pay.

I really enjoyed this workshop and I highly recomend it to everyone who wants to understant how code works! Matt is a great teacher which make the learning process very simple and easy. The rest of the team is great too, always ready to help you with any question!
