Post-pandemic job opportunities were close to zero… and feeling stuck in my career was really getting to me… causing a lot of anxiety. I decided to take it as a challenge to turn things around when a friend suggested Scaler Academy to me.
Scaler’s approach to coding was like a breath of fresh air. Finally, I could focus on breaking free from that career rut. Great mentorship, super supportive instructors and placement team. Super grateful for the recommendation! -

Was in a sort of rut so during this time, committing myself to personal and professional growth was a game changer. For professional growth, I had joined Scaler's program, and honestly, it helped me in numerous ways. Firstly, the environment they provided was exactly what I needed – supportive and conducive to growth. Secondly, from mentorship and mock tests to routine and competitive peers, they offered everything I needed. Thirdly, the curriculum was so well-made that it gave me a regular schedule to overcome my habit of procrastination and learn consistently.
However, I’d still say- the learning experience was pretty intense as it was too detailed but for someone like me, it was surprisingly enjoyable. Exploring algorithms from a different perspective made me actively involved in the process. -

My time as a learner at Scaler has been full of ups and downs; it started with me feeling overwhelmed and intimidated by the program but soon I found my rhythm.
✅ I gave myself enough time to go over a topic, and practise it on my pace
✅ I started managing my time in a more structured way and followed a routine
✅ Attended scaler lectures, worked on their assignments and solved problems every SINGLE day
✅ Asked my instructors and TAs a million dumb questions
What did NOT work for me:
❌The duration of the course was too long and exhausting
❌Customer support was sometimes slow and unresponsive
❌ Had to request to switch my mentor because mine was too busy with other projects and did not dedicate time to our sessions
It’s overall a good program if you want to learn your concepts from A-Z… just pushes you to do a lot. -

My Scaler Academy review: what’s good vs bad
The Good:
1.Good jobs: Obviously got better job opportunities, expanded my network etc.
2. Well designed dashboard: The instructors at Scaler are good and also the dashboard is very helpful too specially the streak feature.
3. Mentor support: The comprehensive curriculum, mentors were good. They prepared me for mock interviews and i ended up getting good offers.
The Bad:
1. Cost Consideration: While the benefits of Scaler Academy are good, the program comes with a financial investment. It's a longer commitment in terms of money
2. Time Commitment: 9 months is too long for any non-accredited course.

I'm a computer science engineer and thanks to Scaler, I got a big hike in my salary and improved my problem-solving skills a lot.
I used to struggle with DSA, LLD, and HLD, but the lectures at Scaler changed everything for me. Especially the DSA lectures!
It was tough balancing work and academy classes, but I managed it by studying on weekends too.
Now, I'm proud to say I work at Joveo, and I owe a big thanks to my mentors, Harsh and Abhimanyu, for their support. They taught me patience, hard work, and resilience!

Life threw a bad time during my engineering degree. Unlike my B.tech peers, I wanted to become a data analyst. But I was always fascinated by data analytics and science, I want a career in it. In 2019, discovered Scaler offering job referrals in related fields. Though not keen on improving technical skills, their referral program caught my attention so price was not problem... Thanks to Scaler, now I'm at ServiceNow. They helped me grow personally and professionally. Improved my DSA skills & gained confidence to face challenges. Grateful to Scaler team and mentor for guiding me to my dream job with a 100% pay hike. -

I am working at Amazon currently but my initial journey too was filled with the service sector experiences. This change was what scaler did for me. They also brought me into the habit of learning everyday. Whether on weekends or even on holidays, no day went by without learning and solving problems. People like Satyasai and Deepak in their core faculty were truly amazing. So I’d say you can for it if you’re planning to upskill -

It was my senior colleague at work who suggested Scaler during the second wave of covid…back then I was stuck in a dead end role with no interest or prospects in my field so I decided to take it up and give it a shot.
What immediately attracted me was the feeling of belongingness and learning together with hundreds of like minded people..it almost reminded me of my school days. Will forever value the things I learned at Scaler and a big thank you to my mentor for helping me get to where I am today. Switching fields would not have been possible without his referral.

In 2019, I founded my own company. But then COVID struck and forced us to shut down before we even started. I couldn’t sit idle at home and decided to transition into a developer role by enrolling at Scaler. Then reality hit hard… my skills were outdated. Starting again from scratch wasn’t easy but my instructors weren’t just teachers; they were my guiding compass, pointing me towards data structures and algorithms through a maze...Each day I sat down with my laptop, determined to master DSA. I coded, solved problems, and pushed my limits. End result being that I got a new beginning after thinking I has lost everything. Forever grateful to all my teachers who are my literal gurus, my mentor, my TAs, and the placement team for giving me another chance.

I was working at a company when I found Scaler. I was told that they are helping people build their skills to reach the product based companies so I went all in. I ended up joining Amazon so I was glad to have given it a chance in improving my skills.
But if I am being honest, it was toooo hectic man! I was working and it was really hard for me to like take out time everyday. I don’t think I ever attended a live class because they had classes on weekdays and all my days during the week were packed with work. -

Scaler DSML course Experience

Grateful and excited to share that I’ve recently started my journey as a Data Scientist at Knight Fintech 🚀
Looking back, the interview journey was a mix of preparation, consistency, and learning from mistakes. My strategy was simple — focus on strong fundamentals (ML concepts, SQL, and problem-solving), practice regularly, and most importantly, learn how to explain my thought process clearly. Mock interviews and revisiting real-world projects helped me build confidence.
A big shoutout to Scaler for being a strong support system throughout this journey. The mentors, instructors, and peer community played a crucial role in keeping me consistent and accountable. The mock interviews and assessments were especially valuable — they closely resembled real interview scenarios and helped me identify gaps early.
Securing this role at Knight Fintech has significantly boosted my confidence and opened up new opportunities. It’s not just about getting a job, but about stepping into a space where I can continuously learn, solve real-world problems, and grow as a professional.
For those preparing for tech roles, here are a few things that really helped me:
Build strong fundamentals instead of chasing too many tools
Work on projects and be ready to explain them deeply
Keep your resume concise, impact-driven, and tailored for each role
Practice mock interviews — they make a huge difference
Stay consistent, even when progress feels slow
Like everyone, I faced challenges — self-doubt, rejections, and moments of confusion. What helped me push through was staying disciplined, focusing on small improvements daily, and not comparing my journey with others.
For job searching and interview prep:
Apply consistently and track your applications
Network with people in your domain and learn from their experiences
Focus on learning + application, not just theory
Be honest in interviews — clarity matters more than perfection
This is just the beginning, and I’m excited for what lies ahead!

Strong foundation for DSA
Enrolling in Scaler’s Java Full Stack program has been a game-changer for me. While the full-stack curriculum is excellent, the structure gave an incredible boost to my Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) learning. It completely transformed my problem-solving mindset and made complex topics easy to grasp. Highly recommended for any engineer looking to level up. -

I joined Scaler Academy in 2023 with the goal of improving my problem-solving skills, strengthening my understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms, and preparing myself for better career opportunities in the software industry. One thing I really liked about Scaler was its structured learning approach. The curriculum was well organized, which helped me follow a clear learning path instead of feeling overwhelmed by the vast amount of content available online. The live classes, assignments, and regular coding practice sessions helped me stay consistent and improve my skills over time.Another aspect that stood out was the mentorship support. The mentors guided me whenever I faced difficulties and helped me identify areas where I needed improvement. Their suggestions regarding interview preparation, resume building, and career development were valuable throughout my learning journey.I also enjoyed being part of the Scaler community. Interacting with fellow learners, discussing coding problems, and sharing experiences created a motivating learning environment. It was encouraging to be surrounded by people who were working towards similar goals. At the same time, the program requires dedication and consistent effort. Managing classes, assignments, and practice sessions alongside other responsibilities was sometimes challenging. However, I believe that the effort was worth it because it helped me develop discipline and a stronger problem-solving mindset.Overall, my experience with Scaler Academy has been positive. Since joining in 2023, I have improved my technical knowledge, coding skills, and confidence. While the journey was demanding, the structured curriculum, mentorship, and supportive community made it a valuable learning experience. -

My honest feedback
Read more Read less of Anonymous's review
What I Liked About Scaler Academy- 1. Structured Curriculum
- DSA preparation
- System design
- Backend concepts
- Interview preparation
- Mock interviews
- Guided practice
2. Mentorship and SupportThis was honestly one of the strongest parts of my experience.Mentors like Naman Bhalla completely changed how I approached problem-solving.And my mentor, Subham Soni, has supported me since 2022. Even today, he’s just a message away whenever I need advice or guidance. That level of continued support made the experience feel personal rather than transactional.
3. Mock Interviews and FeedbackThe mock interviews helped me overcome a huge amount of interview anxiety.Earlier, I struggled to communicate my thought process clearly during interviews.Regular feedback sessions improved:- Communication
- Problem-solving clarity
- Confidence
- Analytical thinking
4. Forced ConsistencyThis may sound harsh, but the structured environment genuinely forced discipline into my routine. And honestly, I’m grateful for that.By the end of the program, I felt like I had worked through almost every major interview pattern and problem type.
The ChallengesScaler definitely isn’t easy, and I think people should know that before joining.
1. Time CommitmentBalancing the course alongside a full-time job was difficult. There were many days when personal time had to be sacrificed to stay consistent with classes and practice. If you join, you genuinely need to dedicate time regularly.
2. The FeesThe fees can feel expensive, especially early in your career.I would strongly suggest:- Exploring EMI options
- Understanding the curriculum fully
- Checking whether you can realistically commit the required time
3. No Guaranteed PlacementThis is important.Scaler does provide placement assistance, mock interviews, and opportunities, but there is no guaranteed job placement. You still have to put in the effort yourself. For me, the placement support was genuinely helpful, but your results will ultimately depend on your consistency and preparation.
My ResultsOnce I started interviewing again after proper preparation, things began changing significantly.I received multiple offers from companies like:- Walmart
- CoinDCX
- Oracle
- Other product-based companies
2.75 LPA → 15 LPA → 50+ LPA But more than the salary growth, what mattered to me was the confidence and clarity I gained throughout the journey. There were many moments when I doubted myself and questioned whether the investment was worth it.Looking back today, I can confidently say it was one of the most challenging yet rewarding decisions I made for my career.
Final Verdict — Is Scaler Academy Worth It?From my personal experience, yes — Scaler Academy had a positive impact on my career. But it’s important to understand this clearly:Scaler is not magic. It won’t automatically get you a job. What it does provide is:- Structure
- Guidance
- Mentorship
- Consistency
- Industry-level preparation

Practical DevOps Learning with Strong Placement Support
Read more Read less of Anonymous's review
I joined Scaler’s DevOps program while looking to transition and strengthen my practical DevOps skills, and overall it turned out to be a valuable experience for me.
One thing I genuinely liked about the program was that the learning was not limited to recorded theory sessions. The curriculum focused a lot on hands-on implementation, industry-standard practices, labs, assignments, quizzes, and contests. This helped me build consistency and improve my problem-solving approach instead of just memorizing concepts.
The DevOps track covered important areas like Linux, networking basics, cloud concepts, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, monitoring, infrastructure-related practices, and real-world workflows that are actually used in companies. The structured approach made it easier to learn topics progressively instead of randomly learning from multiple sources online.
Another positive aspect was the placement assistance. I was able to secure a DevOps role through the opportunities and support provided during the placement process. The mock interviews, resume guidance, and contest participation were helpful in preparing for interviews.
That being said, I would also say that the outcome heavily depends on the candidate’s own effort. The platform gives resources, structure, and guidance, but you still need to practice consistently, actively participate in contests and assignments, revise concepts, and spend time learning outside the sessions as well. If someone is expecting placements only by attending classes passively, then no platform will be enough.
Overall, for people who prefer a structured and hands-on learning environment with placement support, I think Scaler’s DevOps program is worth considering. -

An All-in-One Tech Learning Platform with Exceptional Support and Structure
Read more Read less of Anonymous's review
Scaler Academy provides an outstanding platform for anyone looking to build strong problem-solving skills while gaining a comprehensive understanding of various domains in software development. While the DSA (Data Structures and Algorithms) module is exceptionally well-structured and in-depth, the program goes far beyond that.
The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to include not only core DSA concepts but also frontend, backend, full-stack development, High-Level Design (HLD), and even data engineering modules. This holistic approach ensures that learners are not just prepared for coding interviews but are also equipped with real-world development skills required in the industry.
Each topic is broken down into a step-by-step learning path, making even complex concepts easier to understand. The combination of theory, hands-on practice, and real-world applications helps reinforce learning and builds confidence over time.
One of the standout aspects of the course is the strong support system. The teaching assistants (TAs) are highly responsive, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. Their guidance plays a crucial role in clarifying doubts and keeping learners on track.
Additionally, the structured curriculum, regular assessments, and active peer community create a motivating and disciplined learning environment. Whether you're a beginner or someone looking to upskill, Scaler Academy offers a well-rounded experience that prepares you for both technical interviews and practical software development challenges. -

Structured Learning & Supportive Community

Scaler provides a well-structured curriculum for learning software development. The program helped me build strong fundamentals in web application development, especially in JavaScript, React, backend concepts, and data structures.
One of the best aspects of the program is the community and alumni network. Students can interact with peers, discuss problems, and learn from people who are already working in the industry. This makes the learning process less isolated.
The platform also provides tools to track job applications and helps students connect with companies during the job search process. For someone transitioning into software development, this structure and support system can be very helpful.
Overall, it is a good learning environment if you are willing to stay consistent and actively participate in the community. -

I completed the DevOps, Python, DSA, Linux, and Advanced DSA modules at Scaler Academy, along with multiple hands-on projects, and the overall experience has been truly transformative for my career. The curriculum is extremely well-structured and industry-relevant. The mentors break down complex concepts into simple, understandable explanations. The DSA and Advanced DSA sessions helped me strengthen my problem-solving skills, while the DevOps and Linux training gave me practical, job-ready knowledge.Projects were one of the best parts of the program — they were designed to reflect real-world challenges, which helped me gain confidence in applying what I learned. The doubt-clearing sessions and community support were always reliable and motivating.Scaler not only helped me improve technically but also guided me in interview preparation and career growth. I truly appreciate the support and guidance I received throughout the journey.Overall, Scaler Academy has played a major role in boosting my skills and preparing me for the next step in my tech career. I want to share my thoughts on Scaler Academy: As an engineer, I faced a lot of competition, so I decided to improve my skills by practicing on platforms like InterviewBit and Scaler. I joined Scaler's full-time course where I learned a lot about programming and system design. The mentors and teachers were really helpful, especially Abhimanyu and Anshuman. I'm thankful for the support of mentors Punit Agarwal, Kshitij, Utkarsh, and TA Prateik. Unexpectedly, even the job hunting process was pretty smooth and I got placed at Unraveldata. Kinda proud of how far I have come and thanks to Scaler for their support along the way. If you’re someone like me- who’s constantly looking out for opportunities to upskill, I’d recommend scaler for tech skills.
