NuCamp 4 Week Bootcamp
Everyone was very friendly and open to help with whatever issues may have come about. It did push me to do something different in a world I was familiar with but had no idea what it all entailed. Was NuCamp for me? I don't think so because I need more of a one-on-one aspect of teaching. But for the price and getting a feel for what you want to do. This is it. -

Nucamp was a wonderful choice for me. I am an actor and looking for remote work and I have always had a love for tech and computers. I was very intimidated as I have zero professional/educational background in coding. The videos were clear, the example coding helped tremendously, and the workshop projects are thoughtfully put together to include most, if not all, of the content you have learned up to this point. -

Nucamps's coding bootcamp was exactly what I needed to position myself towards a career change. I feel that following Nucamp's Front End Web Development curriculum with up-to-date development software practices has placed me in a hirable status. I now know how to build a complete web app and mobile app from package installations to production builds using the newest libraries and standards. The support from both the instructors and my classmates is invaluable - thank you, Nucamp! -

I have always been interested in the tech industry, so I decided to enroll in a coding bootcamp since I am majoring in something else at college. I do not know if it was the right decision yet because I am finding that there is a ton of information that you need to condense in a short span of time. The majority of my fellow peers were already in this field and were not a career changer like me. So, I would advise career changers to really step up and practice as much as you can because this information will be coming at you so hard and so fast. The course curriculum is very rigorous and detailed, so ask for help as much as you need to. Overall, it is an awesome challenge!! -

After finishing up the first part of my full-stack Bootcamp I realized how much there is to learn and how difficult the road is. I fancy myself a quick learner but coding requires a lot of organizational and problem-solving skills that I had to tap into fast. Before anyone starts a Bootcamp, make sure they are willing to sit in front of a laptop for a long period of time and deal with frustrations after frustrations. However, I enjoy the challenges and I am glad I chose NuCamp because it was exactly what I was looking for. There is more freedom to explore and self-study than other programs out there but one needs self-motivation to start with. If you are looking for more structure then say Codeacademy and need something more budget-friendly, this is the perfect program for you. -

NuCamp review
I enrolled in NuCamp because I wanted to change into a new career field and they had a schedule that I was able to manage with my current job. Pricing was another factor as well many places are out of my current price range so NuCamp was a good fit. -

What led me to enroll in this Web Fundamentals is first the price, it is reasonable and proven that it is worth your money. Second is the curriculum, it has two weeks of Javascript. The exercises are fun! -

Nucamp was all I could have asked for. The content wasn't overwhelming, yet I still feel like I learned so much. The lessons were very clear and used simple examples which helped me understand. If I ever didn't understand something, I would defintely understand it after the workshop. My instructor was awesome! He had good energy, always making sure we understood everything, and he is clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about this. Overall, this was a great experience which I recommend and I hope to be back in the near future! -

what led me to enroll for this course was the price was affordable, and structured timely along my 2 employments I have. I've always wanted to learn coding and Python is suppose to be the easiest to learn, so decided to go for after reading reviews for this school, which was pretty good and convinced me to enroll. -

I enrolled in Nucamp because I felt in order to get into tech and become a developer I needed to join a bootcamp! Thankfully I found Nucamp just by browsing and reading the reviews. I was nervous at first learning the material and joining my first workshop. But that all went away as I got to meet so many different people from many different backgrounds and experiences who all wanted to pursue the same passion that I wanted to as well. I love Nucamp and I hope you do to. -

I enrolled in Nucamp because I am interested in coding as a career change. The BootCamp program content, timeframe, and cost encouraged me to apply. It was helpful in providing a good foundation for HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I feel more comfortable making a decision to move forward with more coursework. Also, it was easy to reach out with questions via Slack and the Nucamp platform. The Saturday workshop provided a recap of the week, q&a, and time to work collectively on the week's assignment. I would definitely recommend this course if you have an interest and need a boost in deciding if coding is for you. -

Took the Nucamp html CSS JS fundaments course

I enrolled in Nucamp to take this course with my girlfriend (she is changing careers during the COVID pandemic to stay safe).
My girlfriend has little no knowledge of software development and little experience using a Microsoft Windows PC.
I have already worked in software development (as a test engineer not as a software developer) for over 20 years.
We both took the course and graduated. We both feel the course is a good value for the money invested. The course was laid out very nicely and we both learned a lot. Both of us are already signed up to take the 'Nucamp - Full stack development course next'.
The one thing that we would like to see in the course is Nucamp not jam so much content into each week and spend more time on the harder concepts like traversing the DOM, etc.
The Nucamp html CSS JavaScript seems to be well worth the money (price is just right) for the learning instruction that you receive.

Web Development Fundamentals

I decided to enroll in Nucamp to take a new direction and pursue a career in web development. I wanted a program that was reasonably priced and had a good reputation. Nucamp seemed to fit the bill. So far, I have only taken the Web Development Fundamentals course. This course has helped me brush up on the basics of HTML and CSS and has given me a good introduction to JavaScript. I still feel that I have a lot to learn, especially when it comes to JavaScript. I wish that the JavaScript section was a bit more organized and beginner-friendly. Other than that, I have been satisfied with this bootcamp.
The course mainly works by giving you information in videos and then allowing you to practice the concepts with exercises and projects. Overall, I feel that the projects were the most helpful aspect as they allow you to gain hands-on experience. I learn the most that way. It's hard for me to say whether Nucamp is more or less effective than other bootcamps. However, I do know a lot more than I did when I started, and I chose to sign up for another course with Nucamp. -

I wanted to enroll in Nucamp because of two advantages. One was the availability of the video lectures and written instructions throughout the week, which I could study as per my flexible time. The other was the helpful and the best instructor, who taught us a lot of things. He has been helpful throughout the whole course.
I believe it was the right decision and it was so worth the money. The reason for that was the fact that I tried to teach myself a lot of coding, however, the detailed plan or structure of instructions and all time instructor availability made the path easier for me. -

Back end Python ,SQL,Devops
This is a must boot camp for different background students rather than CS Degree students. So, that's why I choose this boot camp and it is very reasonable compared to other boot camps. And the Instructors are also explaining very well in the workshops. -

5 Weeks in and Counting!

I am 5 weeks into the BackEnd, SQL, and DevOps with Python Bootcamp and so far so great. It moves fast and the format for learning content is flexible in terms of your day to day activities. The Saturday workshops are a great time to ask for clarification on topics you learn throughout the week, and the instructor I had was very helpful the entire way through. You meet a lot of different types of people coming from different walks of life so if you don't come from a tech background like me you won't be alone. If the price tag isn't convincing enough, hopefully this review helps. Give them a shot - I'm so glad I did. -

Python Fundamentals, Data Structures, and Algorithms
I choose Nucamp because I heard great things about the course work and the instructors. They boot camp is very course driven and provides detail knowledge about Python fundmentals. My instructor has been very helpful with guiding me through my lesson and helping me when I need it. I would recommend Nucamp to anyone looking to become a developer or improve their development skills. -

Python Fundamentals Data Structures and Algorithms

I had considered enrolling in Nucamp before, but I'm currently a Full Stack Developer already. But was not interested in Frontend development. However, I noticed the curriculum was updated to include Backend, SQL, and DevOps with Python. This is just what I was looking for, so I enrolled. I've just completed the Python Fundamentals Data Structures and Algorithms so far. And all I can say is that thus far it has exceeded my expectations. Stand by I'll update once I'm done with the entire course.

HTMLCSSJAVASCRIPT
I chose Nucamp for a variety of reason. First was format. I dont do well with "code along" presentations. The videos mix some code with lecture notes. And the group workshops help. Second was rating and reviews. Last was price. I believe the price for value recieved was very good. -

Bootstrap
So far the bootstrap course has been easy to follow but the quality of the instructor is pretty low. The assignments were not graded on time and the communication was minimal. For $370 a month I expected a better instructor. Let's hope my next instructor is better. -

Prepare to Supplement Your Learning With Outside Resources
Read more Read less of Anonymous's review
Read the reviews carefully to determine how far into the bootcamp a student was before composing the review. This review is made at the half-way point.
The Good:- Engaging, enthusiastic instructors for the Saturday workshops
- Low price point
The Bad:- The quality of the instruction in the videos needs to be addressed
- Supplemental learning on Youtube and/or Udemy is almost essential
- The copy/paste learning structure
- The students finds themselves unable to use what was learned to build an application
- The lack of instructor availability on weekdays/weeknights
- Nucamp needs to have an instructor available to answer questions Sunday-Friday for a set period in a zoom call to answer questions.
The Ugly:- The React course is a disaster.
- The videos need to be completely redone.
- The material is covered too quickly for a part-time course.
- At least two five-week periods are needed to actually comprehend the material.
- It takes hours to find videos online to cover the deficiencies in Nucamp's videos.
- Nucamp should abandon ReactNative and spend two units on React.
- ReactNative is not a skill set for a full stack developer - it's an extra bonus.
- Until the React curriculum is completely overhauled, I cannot in good faith recommend this course to any potential students.
