Great Bootcamp

I was hesitant to enroll at first because their price is so low compared to other boot camps, but I decided to go with Nucamp and I have zero regrets. I started off learning the fundamentals (HTML/CSS/JS) through another service and then enrolled in Nucamp's Full-Stack Web & Mobile program. My instructor Andre was very helpful and insightful from the very first day of class and always reached out to help me & my cohort along the way. Office Hours are fantastic, the 1 on 1 Zoom calls during the week are a life saver. The concepts that I had trouble with during fundamentals came second nature after the first month of Nucamp. I'm very happy with my decision to learn with them instead of spending a year's rent on another bootcamp. If you're like me and are hesitant to commit, go for it! You won't be disappointed. -

Front End bootcamp
I signed up because I want to become a web developer, and the reason I chose Neucamp was the recommendation I received from a relative of mine who had registered with them and yes it was right decision. -

It's okay
it was affordable but not the right decision I don't feel job ready the python developer fundamentals were well done but SQL class just felt like a lot of copy and paste. -

I was looking for a coding bootcamp that would provide me the best "bang" for my buck. After spending several hours comparing other bootcamps I decided on Nucamp. So far, I believe I have made the right decision . The courses are well paced, yet intense. Their instructors are always willing to help outside of workshops and offer valuable industry experience and knowledge. Do your research and you'll see why many people are moving over to Nucamp! -

Nucamp is a life saver. I have been trying to get tech courses that are immersive and fun and very affordable. I like learning new things and sometimes the discipline to keep at it lacks. Nucamp offers a womderful structure with timelines to finish challenges. The instructors are also very knowledgeable and patient. I would 10/10 recommend starting a course at NuCamp -

Backend Development with Python

I enrolled in nucamp after teaching myself python, and was looking for a certificate to help me get noticed on job applications. Whay I got was much more. I ended up definitely learning some new things with python, but the SQL and devops courses really taught me much more than I was anticpating about bringing everything together.
Although I do wish they would focus on learning one cloud product, I think this is an excellent introduction into software engineering with python. -

I enrolled with Nucamp with the intent to build up skills in areas where I believe I was lacking and simply from work did not touch these areas. Like many people I tried to learn on my own but didn’t make much success on learning something as indepth as full stack Python, often getting confused with how django worked with databases and other questions. After looking at various online learning that just offered video lessons, I wanted to try Nucamp since they offered a live workshop and the pricing was reasonable and being part time worked great with my life balance. Since I was more interested in building a complete site, I chose the Backend, Python and SQL development track.
The backend Python and SQL developement is a great mix skills and was much of the skills that I have seen in recent interviews. Concepts learned here was developing your own linked list within the Python class, SQL went over migrations and database planning, the Devops class focused on the three major cloud vendors plus working with Kubernetes. I would say that all of the subjects covered was an extremely efficient time spent and given that this is a boot camp class, you get a good general starting knowledge of the topics. It’s enough to know how to use the skills but you would need to dive in deeper to expand on the topics. This might sound like a negative but given the depth of some topics, it’s far too complex to explain everything in just a few weeks.
With Nucamp the direction is you have a part time bootcamp theme where you are assigned tasks that are supplemented with videos and connection to your instructor over a Saturday workshop (with covid, done over Zoom). Each weekly lesson will cover a topic and then the workshop will have the instructor go over each topic of the week, then follow into a workshop assignment. The workshop assignment builds upon the weekly assignments, typically having you go over the skills you learned but with limited information (commands are more general, you look up the details) or they ask for extra functions to be added (append to the application a new feature). Overally the experience during the workshops was the main reason why I attended Nucamp, having that live instructor in the class helping you with issues and asking general questions about the topic is well valued over any video series learning. I would also say that my instructors and the student staff greatly helped with keeping me motovated and finally finishing the boot camp. This alone is a great value for the price of the camp.
There are some points I do like to make notice of. This is a boot camp and with many boot camps, it does require you to do learnign outside of the class in order to get the most from the lessons. You will walk away with a general concept of the topics but not an expert level knowledge, that takes much more time and experience. It’s a great kickstarter for anyone wanting to change careers or add to their current skillset, and now that you have the knowledge to get started, moving along to other concepts or ideas will come much easier. Overall I highly recommend this camp for people looking to change careers, those who have limited time working full time, or those who just need some help to get started with their own skill building. -

HTML, CSS, & JAVASCIPT BOOTCAMP REVIEW
I've learned so much in just four weeks. I've taken other courses before, and tried to teach myself, but the curriculum for Nucamp is layed out in a way that's much easier to comprehend than other courses.
Our instructor made the learning environment very comfortable for everyone, esp for someone like me who doesn't really like classroom environments. I highly recommend! -

Nucamp is the perfect mix of boot camp vs self taught. If you are having trouble staying on task and figuring out a road map for yourself to follow, try their camp out. "Self Guided" throughout the weekdays. You have a set schedule of videos and projects to code during the week solo at your own pace, with plenty of outside references at your disposal to help supplement some of the difficult parts of learning coding. Saturdays workshop has been over zoom with 12 other students and a live instructor. You spend around 2 hours combing through the content you have learned over the week, watching live coding demonstrations, and having the ability to ask questions at will during live code, its great. Then break off into working on a big weekly project in smaller groups of 3 learning together, and helping each other debug code, while following along closely to a tutorial that gets you about 80% of the way there, but requires you to research, and look back at your notes to finish. Its a great concept and I have already signed up for there full stack camp, ready for more. Thanks Nucamp! -

I wanted to enroll in this bootcamp because I felt like the colleges that I went to wasn't providing me enough tools to learn programming. I felt like enrolling in this bootcamp was the right decision because the first week I was able to learn so much and progress a lot quicker than my previous schools. The tools that nucamp offers helped me exceed in my coding journey and I was able to obtain the information better. -

I'm so glad that I enrolled and attended coding bootcamp with Nucamp! My instructor Ian Hancock was the best!! he was helpful and very understanding. I didn't have any experiences or knowledge with any coding, but he made it easy and fun to understand and was very patient with me. So overall I was Satisfied with the program and with my Instructor. I would totally recommend Nucamp for anyone who wants to learn how to code. -

Even though the course was very challenging for me, I still completed it. The instructor was very patient and knowledgeable to answer any questions I asked. The course content is reasonable and easy to understand. It also provides additional resources to help us learn more. I am very grateful to Nucamp for being my CS mentor. -

I enrolled in Nucamp because I was to pivot into tech from a legal background. I strongly believe I made the right decision because I had no previous knowledge of coding prior to the bootcamp and I have learned more than I anticipated. I have created and corrected forms, learned to identify errors in CSS and Javascript whereas I had no idea what I was looking at 30 days ago. Looking forward to whats next in store. -

I had a pleasant learning and overall experience with Nucamp! Nucamp is affordable but not cheap. The resources provided were given much thought and care and the instructors were very helpful. I wanted to test out Nucamp bootcamp by signing up with the 4-week Fundamentals first before deciding to start the other longer bootcamps they are offering. I have registered for the Fullstack Bootcamp that is slated to start on March 21, 2022. Go nuCamp! -

What led me to explore Nucamp is that I've always found coding interesting. Although I had never chosen to pursue it early on, the "how" and "why" of what makes websites work was a point of interest. Enter, the Nucamp Web Development Fundamentals Bootcamp. As far as I'm concerned, it's a good place and time to get familiar with just that, the fundamentals. The subjects taught were relatively easy, but still challenging and I do plan to further my education with Nucamp. -

I was first drawn to Nucamp based on the affordable price and course content. I also needed a program that would allow me the flexibility to complete while still working a full-time job. Nucamp provided excellent study material and the opportunity to work alongside with an instructor to answer any and every question that I needed. I was able to go from zero knowledge to excelling in HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I enjoyed my first segment so much that I enrolled into another bootcamp and start in a few weeks! -

I'm grateful that I found Nucamp, just as I was reconciling myself to paying ~10x as much for tuition in another bootcamp. My Nucamp experience in the (optional) beginning bootcamp, Web Development Fundamentals, has been excellent. Very well-presented, engaging, great access to resources and support. You provide the hard work, and Nucamp provides a very welcoming, encouraging and responsive learning community. No trolls in the chat forum! :^) The Fundamentals course is an affordable, sane way to find out if coding is a good match for you, and if so, you're in the right place to keep moving forward. For full disclosure: after I registered for the bootcamp, I did get a job at Nucamp in the admin office, but my review isn't written from that standpoint. Based on my own experience as a student in the Web Fundamentals bootcamp, I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to explore a career in coding. -

I enrolled in Nucamp because it was the most flexible and affordable bootcamp offered, and I'm satisfied so far. The content itself is quite basic - I've learned most of it from other free resources online - but it's been helpful to have an instructor available even though we only get to have a meeting once a week. It seems ideal for busy professionals or parents or anyone looking into an affordable option, and the cohort was very diverse with people from different backgrounds and levels of experience. Having a group to work with is also very valuable and one of the main reasons why I think a bootcamp is necessary, as we get to work together and lern from each other instead of following tutorials. I also liked the instructor for the first portion of the bootcamp (dedicated to a review of JS and introducing us to Bootstrap); she was extremely helpful and could assist everybody regardless of how much each of us knew, keeping us all engaged. -

What initially attracted me to Nucamp was the affordability. Every other bootcamp was just way to expensive. Once i got in, i was able to meet a wide range of awesome people. Learned a lot from all my teachers. Love the experience! -

I don't regret any second that I enrolled in this bootcamp. So affordable, very well structured, amazing instructors, and so interactive. It keeps you engaged because it is like a game, where you gain points and XP, you get to different levels and that motivates you. The Kahoot quizzes are definitely my favorite part, cause it creates the competition and that's pretty fun! I will tell all my friends about it, and if you don't join this, I am sorry for you, you miss something really really good! Don't spend 12k for an expensive bootcamp! NUCAMP offers you what you need! Bootstrap class was super nice, cannot wait to start the next course! -

I've always wanted to learn more about software development, but the bootcamps in my area were out of my price range. I decided to use free resources online and learn the foundational knowledge they teach you in a typical coding bootcamp on my own. After a year, I hit a roadblock. I was not sure what I should study next. So, I decided to research affordable bootcamps. My research led me to Nucamp. I heard good things about Nucamp through reddit. So, I decided to attend their Full Stack bootcamp. I have really enjoyed the content so far and I plan to continue enhancing my skills after I graduate. -

I just finished the Python Fundamentals Course and I was very satisfied with it. It was well structured and I learned a lot. I would have liked more time to speak to the instructor 1 on 1, but I understand that this is a budget bootcamp and the instructors do not have all day to talk to the students. This bootcamp is great for learning about the fundamentals of programming and seeing if it is something you would like to pursue as a career -

I enrolled in the Web Development Fundamentals as a start to see how I liked coding & to experience the teaching style of Nucamp. I found the information very helpful & well explained. I always felt I further understood the weeks lession after completing the workshop. If I was to make any suggestions to anyone looking at Nucamp I would say take the leap! Investing in yourself is just the beginning, it's amazing to see what you can do & learn in a short amount of time. Remember to take the extra time to practice & always ask questions. At the end you'll be thanking yourself you did it! -

I love the structure of these bootcamps. Good content and videos that take it a step at a time. The challenges force us to use our knowledge but they are ambiguous like a college exam. The workshops are great and help solidify the content from the week. Excited to keep learning! -

HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Its a very fast paced course with a lot to learn. It's not for the faint of heart. There I personally think the CSS and JavaScript portions of the course needed at least an extra week or 2, but stick with it and really set the time aside, and I'd say its definitely worth the investment. Our instructor Coleman Rollins was very helpful. -

I took Nucamp's Web Development Fundamentals and it was just what I needed to get my feet wet. What stuck out about Nucamp first was the affordable price. As I started to look into it more I found a youtube video/podcast with the CEO and was very impressed by how honest and straightforward he was about bootcamps in general. The slack community here is great. I have enrolled in the Full Stack course and am super stoked for it. -

I chose Nucamp to begin my continuing education with Web Development. The deciding factor came down to price and the partially instructor led aspect. This was the right decision for me as I have come out of this course with a deeper understanding of basic web development fundamentals. -

Nucamp is great, it's affordable, the instructors really care about the students and the curriculum is good too. I think the beginner's course should be a little longer though. Maybe 6 weeks instead of 4. There should be a little more custom CSS, maybe dive a little deeper into positioning elements since that's what beginners usually struggle with the most. And with javaScript they could at least explain the very basics of objects and methods. But other than that the curriculum is solid. -

This bootcamp was affordable, easily accessible, and fit in with working full time. My instructor always made herself available for questions, and really spent the time to ensure students were understanding concepts. Class material was recorded previously, with outside content to add on to the learning experience, the exercises were challenging but not impossible. There was also a Slack channel for our class and other students going through the same course. Also, the way the classes are broken up into individual segments was great. For instance, I just got done with the month long HTML / CSS / JS class, but afterward there is no commitment to continue on to another section until you're ready to do so. This means you're only paying for one portion at a time, too. There's no massive bill hanging over your head. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience and I will be continuing on with NuCamp for fullstack development -

Nucamp had the advantage over other courses due to specifically online meetings. Having a once a week workshop where fellow students and instructor can meet for 4 hours has a huge advantage over once a week, half hour instructor meetings that other programs offered. Even though other programs had instructors available throughout the week, I believe more time with an instructor is beneficial. In addition to the cost friendlier course, I appreciate the offer to help to prepare for job hunting/resume building. Some other courses would have a guarantee job placement when finished with the curriculum. I however researched that may not be the best decision for me.
