Before making my final decision to enroll in the post-graduate program - data science and business analytics with great learning, I did further research and linked the expected outcomes to my career and how possible that it could make a positive impact in the way I can deliver work to my clients.
No doubt that I found the program difficult in the beginning as I don’t have a programming background, we reached a point during the journey where I found it very difficult to cope with my learner colleagues, but I was very determined to continue the journey and progress in the program because I believed the expected outcomes exceed my expectations and found the program very helpful in my career progression in all means.
Though it was a very challenging journey, it was worth it. I found how powerful is the programming in revealing business issues and representing them visually in a very attractive dashboard. The value of this program is countless!Great Learning of Great Learning

This is my third course with great learning’s way of learning which I believe is awesome. In addition to recorded lectures, their way of periodic mentored learning sessions, through tremendously capable industry people in addition to recorded courses is very very helpful and provides a platform where students can interact to clear any doubts and enhance learning. Additionally, supported project work cement the concepts so that they stay with the learner for a long time. Just the fact that I am at my third consecutive course with the team is a testament itself of how valuable I have found Great Learning’s way of transferring knowledge. Highly recommended!Great Learning of Great Learning

I enrolled in the course during the pandemic period to learn about data science which is emerging in recent periods. In the initial stage of the program concentrate on the basics of python programming.
The program supporting teams and curriculum is designed to keep up the phase throughout the course, especially during the project discussion forum helps in clarifying the doubts and motivated to complete it on time.
Mentor learning sessions are good if you get a knowledgeable person. It tops up the subject knowledge which you learned during that week’s lectures and videos. It is one of the major pros of this program.
The cons of this program are they have to improve their notes and lecture videos in the initial modules to enable the students to understand better about the concept who are new to programming and data science.
The portal which they are using should be user-friendly and interactive. Overall it is a very good course who is aspiring to become a Data Scientist.Great Learning of Great Learning

Dear Kannan,
Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We are glad that you are satisfied with the mentored learning session and are scoring well in all the modules, so far! We look forward to your completing the program with flying colors.
We have shared your feedback with our academic team regarding certain modules lacking technical notes and be rest assured, they will work on it. Also, we completely understand that you might have had few difficulties in the first few modules as learners with no programming experience have to put in relatively more effort and may have certain challenges from time to time when trying to learn programming for the first time. Therefore, it requires them to do a lot more hands-on work to get comfortable with python. This is something that we have noticed from hundreds and thousands of learners' journeys so far. However, things start falling in place after few modules, as they improved for you and we are glad that you are about to complete the program.
We wish you good luck! Keep giving us your feedback. -

Helped me pick up python fast and effectively starting from the basics and elaborated to apply the analysis of data for business purposes.
Assignments and references help you counter reference the entire moduel to help learn efficiently, clear doubts and answer questions. Well formatted course to help guide your learning journey.
Videos are also very in depth explanitory with intelligent teachers who have alot of wisdom who teach to apply real life situations in real life work examples using data science and bussiness analytics.
The weekly zoom cohorts are fun and interactive with the teacher showing multiple methods in depth and clearing doubts/questions. Reza Nickmanesh is an excellent teacher and answers questions accurately and explains why.
Excellent staff that ensure you are on track to passing. They also make sure you are using the platform to it's full potential and are using your time efficiently. My program manager Paridhi Malhotra, was the best at keeping me on point and checking my progress throughout the modules.
The entire community is very helpful, let's you communicate with your classmates to give a real life work experience.
Would recommend for any beginner who has some extensive mathematical experience as well as a business background to have a better understanding of the business application aspect.

My journey with the Great Learning AI-Native program has been a valuable and exciting learning experience.
Coming from a professional background in regulatory affairs and IT, I joined this program with the curiosity to understand how AI could be applied to real-world business challenges.
What I appreciated most was the practical approach to learning. The weekly assignments encouraged me to think differently, explore various AI tools, and move beyond theoretical knowledge.
One of the most rewarding parts of my journey was the Demo Day project, where I developed my own AI-based regulatory change-assessment application. It gave me the confidence to turn an idea into a working prototype, something I had not imagined doing when I started the course.
The learning experience was not without challenges. At times, understanding new tools and completing assignments alongside professional commitments required additional effort. However, those challenges became opportunities to learn and improve.
I also appreciate the guidance and encouragement provided by the mentors throughout the program.
Overall, this course has changed my perspective from simply understanding AI to thinking about how I can use AI to create practical solutions.
For me, the biggest takeaway is not just the knowledge gained, but the confidence to continue learning, experimenting, and building independently. -

This course is super practical. The theory comes in short, bite-sized video lessons, and you can put what you've learned to use right away through the assignments. The templates and frameworks are really handy, too.
It moves at a good pace and doesn't drag on, so if you want to get up to speed with AI tools quickly and actually start using them, this is the one. I especially liked the mobile app: you can do all the coursework and keep track of your progress right from your phone.
By the end, I'd automated a few routine tasks and felt way more confident getting the most out of AI. -

I just finished the MIT Data Science program (applied to AI) through Great Learning, and honestly, I'm so happy with how it went. I'm really proud of my results, and I feel lucky to have been exposed to this level of learning. It pushed me in the best way.
What I didn't expect was how much the support would matter. Our program manager was incredible. Every question I had, he answered. Every message, too, even when it was really late. He was always there to help us work through whatever came up, and that made a huge difference.
Our mentor, Freeman, was just as great. His sessions were something I looked forward to, and he really made things click.

I recently completed the Applied Data Science and AI program through MIT and Great Learning. It has been a deeply rewarding and enriching experience. It took sacrifice, early mornings, late nights, weekend study sessions, multiple weekly lectures, and frequent assessment quizzes and projects. But it was worth it for the real-world application that was provided. Before this course, I knew very little about Python coding. It had been years since I took statistics and advanced math courses, yet now I have a strong working knowledge of how to explore data (which is all around us) and use it to make solid predictions about the future. The best part of the program, perhaps, is its emphasis on the applied side, with data assessments grounded in real-world scenarios. The team behind the scenes, the mentors and experts at Great Learning, also deserve credit, as they made the course entirely intuitive and easy to navigate, and were always there to assist. -

I completed the MIT-PE AAIDSP program through Great Learning while studying software development and working part-time, so I needed something that could fit around a busy schedule, and it did. The capstone was the best part for me. Working through a real prediction problem with real data taught me more than the lectures alone. The support from my program manager also stood out. She followed up regularly, reopened a submission link when I was late, and helped me get into a live session when my computer was acting up. It felt like someone was keeping track of my progress the whole way. If I had to name one thing to improve, it would be the pace of some courses. Overall I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a structured path into AI and data science. -

I came to the MIT PE / GreatLearning Applied AI and Data Science program with considerable experience using Data Science and AI in a business setting, but without formal training in either field. As a leader in technical support, I have used the output of data science models to analyze customer experience and business performance, forecast workload and build budgets. I have also led the implementation of AI across different stages of the customer support process, from chatbots interacting directly with customers to automation assisting support engineers and solutions that can provide customers with answers with a high degree of confidence.
I took the Applied AI and Data Science program because I wanted to understand much better what was happening under the hood: the guiding principles, the mathematics, the models and the tools used to build these solutions. The program more than met my expectations.
I particularly appreciated the combination of theory and hands-on work. The lectures provided a solid foundation, while the practical seminars and projects forced me to actually work with the concepts, Python tools and models rather than simply learn about them. The MIT faculty were excellent, and I was also very impressed by the industry experts who led the practical sessions and advised us on our projects. They were knowledgeable, accessible and genuinely interested in helping us understand the material.
The program required a substantial investment of time, particularly for someone doing it alongside a demanding full-time job, but I consider that time very well spent. I finished the program not only with a much stronger theoretical understanding of Data Science, Machine Learning and Generative AI, but also with practical skills that I can apply directly in my work. It will help me make better technical and business decisions and, just as importantly, ask better questions of the specialists. I am also looking forward to apply these skills practically and broaden my professional and leadership horizons.
For me, that was exactly the reason for taking the program, and it delivered what I was looking for. -

I work in agriculture technology in Argentina, and I joined the MIT Professional Education Applied AI & Data Science program with a clear goal: to stop just using data and start making decisions with it. Several months later, I can say the program delivered that and more.
The learning journey: The curriculum is built so that every course stands on the one before it. You go from statistics and Python foundations through machine learning, deep learning and generative AI, with case studies and hands-on projects that are close to real business problems. The live sessions were one of the highlights for me: you don't just see how a technique works, you see how an experienced practitioner thinks about when to use it and when not to.
The capstone changed how I think: My project was a loan-default prediction problem for a home-equity lender. The most valuable lesson wasn't choosing the best model. It was learning to defend every decision behind it: why one metric and not another, where a decision threshold should come from, and what the results are actually worth to the business. My final recommendation was a three-layer credit policy in which most of the value came from simple, auditable rules placed before the model, with the machine learning model focused on the cases where it adds the most. The program pushed me toward that kind of answer, one a real organization could actually run, instead of chasing a higher score.
The support made a real difference: The feedback on my milestone project recommended that I test boosting models, and that single piece of advice ended up improving my final model. The program team was always responsive and clear about requirements and deadlines, which matters a lot when you're studying alongside a full-time job.
How I approached it: I treated the program as the backbone and built my own learning system around it. I kept a private repository where I distilled every session into my own notes, and I used AI as a study partner I could question at any hour. It never did the thinking for me. It made me explain every decision until I truly understood it.
How it shaped my outlook: That habit is the most important thing I'm taking back to my work. In the AI era, the advantage belongs to people who learn how to learn with these tools and use them to think more rigorously, not to those who avoid them or let them think in their place. This program gave me the rigor to do exactly that.
I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who wants to apply AI and data science to real problems with real rigor. It's demanding, and every hour is worth it. -

I recently completed the 14-week Applied AI and Data Science Program by MIT Professional Education, delivered in collaboration with Great Learning. It was honestly one of the most valuable but also challenging learning experiences of my year. The program was challenging, especially while working full-time, and many of the concepts were new to me. But step by step, with the live sessions with MIT professors, mentoring, exercises and projects, I was able to learn and progress. I learned a lot about Python, data analysis and visualization, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI and, most importantly for me, how we can use all of this to understand real problems and support better decision-making.What I really appreciated was that we didn't only learn the theory. We had to practice, work on real projects and apply what we learned. The final Capstone was challenging, but it was also a great way for me to see how much I had learned since the beginning. The Great Learning team, the mentors and my Program Manager, Tanvi Bhardwaj, were also very supportive whenever I had questions or needed help. This program requires time, discipline and commitment, especially when you are coming from a non-technical background, but I am really happy I decided to take this challenge. I finished these 14 weeks with new skills, new perspectives, and even more motivation to continue learning about AI and Data Science. I am very happy and proud to have achieved this. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and would recommend it to anyone considering it. Excellent balance of theory and hands-on practical exercises. Projects gave flexibility with no-code alternatives. As a designer, the coding side challenged me thoroughly, but the course content and materials gave enough guidance to work through it self-directed. It moves fast and goes deep, but that's part of the experience.
The curriculum moved fast from foundations to a real project: I built and evaluated an LLM-based judge, then had to defend the design choices behind it.
Recommended for anyone advising on AI who wants the technical grounding to match the strategy conversation. -

MIT Professional Education's "Applied AI and Data Science Program" (MITPE AAIDS), delivered by Great Learning, is one of the BEST educational experiences I've ever had. For someone coming from law and the social sciences, whose "theoretical background" in computer science consists mainly of asynchronous videos, the MITPE AAIDS was no small challenge, yet its demands never became overwhelming. Much of that balance comes from the constant pedagogical and technical support of the mentors and Great Learning's active monitoring. At the same time, having an organized personal study routine is what lets you get the most out of both the lectures given by MIT faculty and the mentorship sessions (more personalized classes). The mentors, for their part, are all exceptionally good. The program ends with two projects, an "Elective Project" and the more important "Final Capstone", which help consolidate and apply what you've learned. There are also assessments throughout each module. In short, I finished the program not only with more and better knowledge, but with an even greater desire to keep learning. 100% recommended. -

*Course: AI Native Professional Certification, Great Learning*
*Duration: July 2026 – August 2026
**What I Loved**
**Instructor quality:** Our instructor, Ashkan Saidinejad, Ph.D. (AI Instructor at Great Learning), was exceptionally knowledgeable, personable, and clearly well-versed in the material. That made even the denser technical sessions approachable.
**Program management:** Huge shoutout to our program manager, Sameer Rana. He was incredibly communicative — sending weekly WhatsApp alerts on coursework, project deadlines, and materials due, always in a timely manner. That consistency made a real difference in staying on track.
**Flexibility:** Being able to watch pre-recorded sessions for any live class I missed was a lifesaver. The option to request extensions on projects when needed also made this a genuinely flexible program. I think working professionals and parents balancing multiple responsibilities would thrive with this structure.
**Pre-work:** I appreciated that pre-work existed at all — it's a great foundation.
—
**Where It Could Improve**
**Overview page graphic:** The uploaded graphic on the course overview page is too small and should be expanded for readability.
**Upfront tool transparency:** It would help to know, from day one, the complete list of AI tools we'd be focusing on across the program. Active Pieces, for example, came in as an add-on beyond what was initially outlined, and upfront clarity here would help with expectations and preparation.
**Capstone video generation guidance:** We need clear, specific guidance upfront on what video generation options are available and supported for the capstone project.
**Pre-work needs a hard deadline, and TCREI should move into it:** Pre-work would benefit from a hard deadline — for example, one week after the course start date — rather than being open-ended. I'd also suggest introducing the TCREI prompt framework within the pre-work itself rather than at the very beginning of the live course. TCREI was introduced early on, but encountering it right as the course started, rather than having had a chance to sit with it during pre-work, made the first assignment considerably harder to navigate, particularly for first-time AI users still building foundational understanding.
**Demo Day structure:** The final presentation format needs clearer structure. I understand the intent behind not using traditional PowerPoint slides, and I loved seeing some participants use infographics to visually map their flow. But I'd suggest the demo video itself should be the primary presentation of the flow — many participants lost time trying to demo their flows live through AI systems, running into lag issues that ate into their presentation time.
As an addition, focusing on building dashboards and command centers using AI would be beneficial across sectors, as part of the curriculum.

To Conclude:** Overall, this was a rich, flexible, and well-supported program with real strengths in its people and pacing. With a bit more upfront clarity on tools and structure, it could be even stronger for the next cohort. -

Generative AI
I consider this course to be well-structured; I found it very good. I don't have a background in computing, so I found some concepts challenging, but the course provides all the necessary material to tackle them without any issues. I recommend it. -

I have recently completed the Certified Program in Applied Generative AI from Great Learning in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University. This course is very well organized for any IT profressionals looking to explore on Gen AI applications. One need be a tech guru or expert to be part of it, the course starts with very of Python, so you start from ground and finish at doing GenAI projects. I have learned a lot of concepts and how to build AI applications with the help of AI. It helped me apply those concepts in day to day job duties. Highly recommend this course. The professors, instructors, admin staffs were realy good and supportive.
