This bootcamp covers UX Design, voice user interface (VUI) and voice user experience (VUX), Double Diamond, narrative design, and script writing. Students will learn Amazon Alexa skills, VUX research, chatbot design, JavaScript, Node.js, SQL, MySQL, RESTful APIs, Express.js, HTTP, Git, and Github. This bootcamp teaches Model-View-Controller (MVC Architecture), functional programming, and JSON. Students learn Mocha, Chai, and Expect, IoT Technology, DevOps, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Students will work in teams with classmates to build a solution for a real-world client. Students build a portfolio of their projects, including live web applications.
This bootcamp offers a Professional Acceleration Program to help students build skills, such as social and emotional intelligence. Students receive 12 weeks of career support. Career mentors utilize the Stack Network to help graduates find jobs. Bootcamp graduates will receive an Emerson College Voice Technology Design & Coding Certificate. Graduates of the bootcamp learn relevant skills for jobs, such as voice UI designer, conversational designer, web developer, software engineer, DevOps engineer, experience developer, product manager, QA engineer, voice application developer, and technical customer success manager.
