Emerson College Data Analytics Boot Camp
Emerson College Boot Camps offer a 24-week, part-time, data analytics course. The data curriculum includes programming in Excel, Python, R programming, JavaScript charting, HTML/CSS, API interactions, SQL, Tableau, fundamental statistics, machine learning, and more. Enjoy close collaboration with other professionals while receiving hands-on experience.
Applicants do not need programming experience to enroll, but once admitted, all students will complete a pre-course tutorial. As the programs are part-time, Emerson College Boot Camps are designed for working professionals and students who are actively pursuing a career change, advancement, or looking to gain a new skill set.
Throughout the boot camps, students have access to career-planning services, portfolio reviews, demo days, and 1:1 career coaching. Students have access to a dedicated profile coach and career director that works with them throughout the program and prepare them to be employer competitive. Graduates will receive a non-credit Certificate of Completion from Emerson College and will have a portfolio of projects demonstrating a working knowledge of data analytics.

Before I started the program back in August, my knowledge of python couldn't go beyond basic syntax. After six months of a fairly intense program, I learned enough to certainly call myself a programmer. Between using machine learning to predict crypto to creating interactive webpages, it's certainly a good program to go to if your goal is to learn to code. The curriculum is certainly good. The standard rule when learning a programming language is generally six months, so this program fits that timeframe just well.

Very Disappointing
The curriculum for this course is acceptable but the instructor is just horrible. He can not answer questions or explain anything beyond what is written on the slide presentation. Our program has an intensive, multi-part vetting process for instructors, requiring a minimum of three years' experience as an active practitioner in the tech industry—however, we understand that not all teaching styles resonate with all students. The course is not worth it. You have to teach yourself all the materials outside of the class time. The instructor will quickly introduce a concept, and then have you do a practice exercise that's way more difficult than what was presented. They give an estimate for out of class time that should be spent studying, but in reality it should be 10-15 more hours than that. And if you withdraw, they try to make you still pay the full amount by not telling you exactly what you need to do to ge...The course is not worth it.
