Coding temple is amazing! Specifically, ALEX AND RYAN are GREAT instructors!! I will say going through this bootcamp has been very challenging and intense however, Alex and Ryan made things a lot easier for me during through bootcamp. If you are going through life outside of this bootcamp all you have to do is communicate with your instructors what's going on (sometimes it can be rough to open up) but I will never regret it! Alex and Ryan have patience, understanding, and are willing to work with you as long as you communicate and put in the work! The best part about it is once you become alumni you can still communicate with them, and they will help as much as they can! Thank you so much for being so awesome, patient, and understanding!! Love you guys!!!Cheers to the future! -

Coding Temple: Katie Sylvia's Data Analytics Class

I had the pleasure of being a part of Katie Sylvia's Data Coding and Analytics 8-week bootcamp, and I cannot recommend her enough. Katie's dedication to teaching and ensuring that every student grasped the concepts was truly remarkable.
What set Katie apart from other instructors in the field was her ability to teach in various ways to accommodate different learning styles. In a field as technical and fast-paced as data coding, it can be challenging for beginners to keep up. However, Katie's experience as a high school teacher allowed her to translate complex concepts into understandable terms. She focused on helping us grasp the "why" behind each topic and understand the goals and overall purpose, rather than simply memorizing code.
One of the things I appreciated most about Katie was her commitment to creating a fun and supportive learning environment. She fostered a sense of camaraderie among the class, encouraging us to work together as a team to tackle tasks and lean on one another for support. This small family-like culture made the learning experience not only informative but enjoyable as well.
Katie's willingness to go above and beyond for her students was evident in her approach to addressing questions and concerns. She never hesitated to revisit a topic or explain it from a different angle, utilizing visualizations or alternative explanations to ensure our understanding before moving forward. Her patience and adaptability were truly commendable.
Overall, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to learn from Katie Sylvia. Her expertise, teaching style, and dedication to her students make her an exceptional instructor. If you are looking for someone who will go the extra mile to ensure your understanding and create a supportive learning environment, I highly recommend Katie. She is an invaluable asset to any educational program. -

Coding Temple has been one of the greatest things to happen to me. I came into this a low level factory worker and I’m leaving with a direct path to my dreams. If it wasn’t for Christian and Dylan (instructors) this bootcamp could have been a lot worse. They thoroughly taught us what we needed to know and gave us the knowledge of how to expand on what they taught. These are two people that I will never forget and will always be thankful of!! -

Great Flexible programs

Coding Temple is a great place to learn how to code/IT. They have several focused programs. They offer flex for most of them, where you schedule one meeting at the very beginning and must schedule one meeting for the capstone project at the end. The rest of the time you are 100% whatever hours you want to work (over the 6 month time). You choose when to move on and when to turn in assignments. They give good comments back and have tons of support from tools to use, to places to practice, the ability to setup meetings (most of their hours are during normal working hours), they also use messaging effectively and can frequently help with that even if you can't make a meeting. They also setup student groups to help students help each other. The programs they offer are growing and so if you are considering anything in computers outside of hardware I would check them out. They also were a pretty good price. Lastly I've just graduated and so only seen the start of the job assistance, but it looks very strong and I have a friend who recommended me this program that started making 85,000 a year with no previous experience (which fits their claimed starting range). -

Hello everyone,
My name is Kym, I just finish the bootcamp.
My overall experience with Coding Temple was great and easy.
The class instructors Ryan and Alex did a great job, I really respect them for their patience with each student.
For the future students who is looking for a bootcamp, if you selected to go to full time bc be ready to work hard, commit 12-16 hours a day to get a better result.
I did a good job, I am proud of myself but I did expect more. I don’t blame myself or the bootcamp, honestly I struggle a little, cause I had 0 experience, 0 knowledge in IT and English is not even my first language))))
If you commit 100%, study hard, do extra work, submit your homework, eventually you will get there 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Enjoy and good luck everyone 🙏🏻👍🏻 -

Great Experience
A lot was learned during taking this cohort, and with all the time and dedication spent to learn it was well worth it as now there's more opportunities up ahead to grow. With the help of Alex and Ryan, they are the foundation that helps these students grow to become something they couldn't believe in themselves. Continue the hard work teachers! -

My experience at coding temple with Ryan Rhoades and Alex Swiggum was amazing. The course was very fast pace and was a lot to learn and grasp, but once you got the hang of it, it was pretty straight forward. Thanks to Ryan and Alex and all of there help I wouldn't have been able to get through this course. I came into this course knowing very little to nothing about coding so myself and others would ask tons and tons of questions and they were always there, they were so patient and nice with everyone. So I would totally recommend this course to anyone and especially if your teachers are Ryan and Alex you'll love the course so much more. -

The last 10 weeks at The Coding Temple have been awesome. The whole crew, from the instructors to the staff, were super supportive and always there when I hit a snag. Super thankful for all the cool stuff I've learned in this course. It was tough and packed with challenges, but totally worth all the effort. Huge thanks to everyone!
Especially when it comes to my instructors Shoha and Brendan. Without these guys and there wealth of knowledge, I don't think I would have been able to make it through and actually retain the knowledge the way I did. -

Gives Back What You Put In

This bootcamp was quite fast paced. It starts off at what feels like a fast pace because everything is new to you. It slows down a bit in the middle, but the end is very fast paced. If you are not willing to commit and put the time in, this will be very challenging for you. You get access to many additional workshops to further hone your skills if you want. The instructors I had (Dylan Smith and Sean Currie) were both incredibly helpful the whole way through.
Pros:
Instructors are very knowledgeable, accessible, and also just fun to talk with.
Course helps build your fundamentals (note that it is up to you to get mastery)
Fast paced which can be challenging for some, but if you grind it out and really commit, you can do it and in a short amount of time
Everything is recorded, you can go back and refer to your videos
Cons:
There were 1 or 2 group weekend projects, there were also some group activities in the classes. These can be a bit hit or miss depending on who you get in your cohort and how much they are actually trying. You can end up with it being mostly yourself doing the work -

My experience at The Coding Temple for the past 10 weeks has been nothing short of amazing. Not only my instructors, but the entirety of the staff are so helpful and kind. Any time I had difficulty or a problem there was always someone to help come alongside me.
I am extremely grateful for everything I've learned through this course, and there is so very much that I have learned. It was hard, and challenging, but it was beyond worth the dedication required. -

My instructors, Dylan and Christian were top notch. They were professional, patient, willing to reflect, and clearly know what they are doing. They are good at giving positive feedback, regardless of the situation, and make an effort to avoid embarrassing anyone. All the qualities of good teachers. The curriculum is as much as you could realistically pack into the allotted time-frame. As such, expect to do a ton of learning after you graduate, to prepare for the workplace. The course itself is HARD. Well, it's hard near the end. Surely you see advertisements saying "anyone" can learn to code at one of these bootcamps. In my opinion, you need to be above average at math, logic, and puzzle-solving, and you need to enjoy these subjects as well. -

We went through so much material in this course and the instructors were amazing. They were always available to answer my questions, explain concepts I was having issues with, and give me feedback on my assignments. They made the learning experience fun and interactive. Dylan and Christian worked well together and fostered a learning environment that encouraged open dialogue and questions. Good energy, good vibes, good coursework, would recommend. -

I wish there had been more reviews before I enrolled; perhaps I would not have made the mistake of enrolling in this program. This is why I want to share my experience — so that others know what they are getting into. I enrolled in the self-paced program because that is how I have always learned best; however, I could not learn from their online instructor. Based on the many positive reviews, I am assuming their online classroom training is much better; but their self-paced program is more recent (since Covid), and the instructor is new, so the overall positive reviews of this program are very misleading. If you have ever tried to learn a musical instrument, I am guessing the teacher did not tell you to watch him play something and then copy what he did. But that is how this teacher imagined I would learn software engineering — watch a video of him coding a problem, and type along — exactly what he typed. Well, everything I copied off of him worked, as it should; but when I went to work on the assignments, I still had no idea what I was doing. All I knew was how to type along to the instructor, and he was NEVER available to help me with the assignments — not once in the four months I attended. His solution? All the explanation I need could be found online; if I get stuck, just google it. This may be true, but then I don't need to pay thousands of dollars for a bootcamp. The assignments took three to four times as long to complete because I was spending so much time on Google looking for explanations to help me complete them. This would not be so bad, except I enrolled in a part-time class because I am still working full-time. So now I am taking three to four times as long to complete each course; which they allow, but you have to pay them an additional $1500/month while you're figuring it out for yourself using Google. I will not say it is impossible to complete the self-paced course; but if you do not already have a good understanding of the courses being taught, be prepared to spend a lot more time and money than you think. -

I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the incredible experience I had at Coding Temple and to give a special shoutout to my dedicated instructors, Sean Currie and Dylan Smith. Both Sean and Dylan created a positive and inclusive learning environment that fostered growth and collaboration.
Throughout my time with Coding Temple, I want to thank Dylan Smith for his unwavering support throughout the Bootcamp. Dylan’s teaching style was engaging and insightful, making complex concepts much more approachable. His willingness to share real-world examples and his patience in addressing our questions were truly commendable.
I’d also like to acknowledge the dedication and commitment demonstrated by Sean Currie which truly stood out. Sean’s tireless efforts and his “helicopter parent” approach made a world of difference in my learning journey. His after-class hours were an invaluable opportunity for me to gain a deeper understanding of the course material and clarify any doubts I had. I could always count on Sean to go the extra mile, ensuring that no student was left behind. His passion for teaching was evident, and his guidance was instrumental in my progress. My rapport with Sean was fantastic, and his dedication to his students deserves recognition. -

For anyone considering enrolling in a coding bootcamp, I highly recommend that you choose Coding Temple for your education. I recently graduated from their part-time software engineering program (full-stack web development). Completely remote (zoom).
Let me just say that I had a lot more fun than I expected to have during this coding bootcamp. My instructors, Christian and Dylan, were very good at keeping our classes light and fun yet structured and concise. And they were able to do this even though they needed to get through the material quickly as to leave time after classes for any one-on-one meetings we needed to have. They're definitely up there with some of the best instructors I've ever had in school. Not only did they make the bootcamp an enjoyable experience but they also are excellent communicators. Their ability to package complex ideas into simple, easy-to-understand concepts is truly impressive and something that I myself strive to emulate. While they would walk us through a new language or concept, they were super patient with us asking questions and almost always gave good clarification. Whenever one of us had an issue in our code that we couldn't resolve, Christian or Dylan was able to find the solution. Honestly, any problem I showed them, they knew how to solve and usually rather simply. Additionally, I always had at least one of them for outside-of-class help. I can't tell you how many meetings I had with Dylan and he always put me back on track or nudged me in the right direction on how to do something I struggled with.
And once you graduate from your program, you'll still be in good hands with the career specialists who will walk you through building your portfolio (projects to show employers), polishing your resume and LinkedIn profile, as well as preparing you for the technical side of interviews (whiteboards -> problem solving). I am currently in this stage as a graduate and so far, the instructors have made it really easy for me.
Now, I feel as though I was only able to get this type of good experience from my instructors because I put in the work. And I can honestly say that I cared about the work I was doing and, therefore, reaped the benefits of my instructors answering my questions well and showing me new ways to do something. Simply put, you get out what you put in. I'm sure many people have/will say this to you and it's so true.
So, if you enjoy programming and building projects that you get excited about, you really owe it to yourself to find a good education that can provide that foundational knowledge. And I absolutely believe that Coding Temple is one of the best places to do that. -

I was in a group of 6 for my cohort which made for a more intimate experience in this bootcamp. The instructors are brilliant! Not only from a technical perspective but from a personal one as well. My instructor was Brandt Carlson, he was always ready to give a fully fleshed out answer to any questions you may have. Always ready to take a peak at your work and go through as many issues as you needed him to and he was just as good at keeping the atmosphere fun, lighthearted, and comedic in class. Brendan Carlson was his teaching assistant for some time before being pulled away to other duties. He is also technically brilliant and a very genuine, warm individual. The program isn't exactly easy so it's very fortunate to have people like this who will at least warm up the environment and reliably help you through any issues you may be having! -

The software development course at Coding Temple was fast paced and challenging, My instructors Christian Askew and Dylan Katina were extremely patient with our class. They continuously found ways to articulate and clarify complex concepts in a way that I could comprehend despite my lack of prior coding experience. They offered constructive criticism, advice, and encouragement all along the way. The T.A.'s I received assistance from(Robert, Sarah, and especially Brendan) were just as helpful and patient. T.A.'s were basically available everyday except Friday. My only complaint would be that due to my work schedule I still sometimes struggle to find time for additional work with my instructor or an T.A. Overall this was a great experience that I would recommend to anyone dedicated to learning and advancing their knowledge in software development. -

A challenging and motivating environment for starting in software

I have just completed the Full Time Software Development bootcamp and it was a great 10 week journey of learning. The instructors (Alex, Ryan, and Brendan) were truly amazing and so patient, positive, and knowledgeable. I received so much valuable feedback and tidbits of knowledge that I would never have gotten with a self-study approach. There were also many opportunities for building relationships with classmates and learning how to work in teams within a software context with people of various different personalities and strengths. This experience was invaluable going forward into the job search. The projects, homework, and capstone also pushed me to learn the lecture contents in more depth and apply them to a real world application or project.
This bootcamp does move really fast and it feels as if we are skimming the surface of each of these core subjects including HTML, CSS, Python, JavaScript, Flask, SQL, and React such that I don't feel entirely comfortable with any one thing afterward. However, it does give you good exposure to be able to decide a core area of interest that you could direct your focus on going forward with continued self-study. I liked the structure of each day too, in that there was often several hours of post-class review where we could often get 1:1 assistance from the instructor with any problems we were having. This allowed a good mix of independent learning, but also hands-on guidance.
I also appreciated the daily whiteboard coding problems in class as it forced me out of my comfort zone with problem solving and talking about my code and thought process. The instructors were always positive and supportive through these nerve-wracking situations, but also tough. This provided good preparation for future technical interviews and also just learning algorithms and logic important for software projects in general.
There were also several opportunities outside of class to continue to expand one's skills, including several whiteboard workshops, career development workshops, and TA after hours assistance. I have not started the Alumni portion of the program, but it appears we have career support for as long as we need it and access to continuing workshops and Slack groups.
One reason I also chose this bootcamp was the Job Guarantee. The process of meeting all the expectations necessary to continue to qualify for this guarantee sounds quite intense, but seems it could be worth it if I am able to get a job in a reasonable time period.
Overall, this was a great experience, with great people, both staff and classmates, and has really gotten me inspired and optimistic about a career change to software development. -

I was hesitant registering for a software engineering boot camp with the recent mass tech layoffs. I convinced myself I could still do tech for non-tech companies and that additional education never hurt anyone! To say this course was humbling would be an understatement. It is an extraordinary amount of information in an exceptionally short amount of time. I can't tell you how many times I was ready to bail, and likely would have, had it not been for my instructors - which I will circle back to. The course work is rigorous. You get what you put into it. Expect to have hours upon hours of homework. Expect to rewatch lectures. Be prepared to be resourceful in supplementing your learning - everyone learns differently - the material that is presented is concise but if you are completely new to the field concise still has its draw backs. You are going to be reading a lot outside of what is assigned but if you dedicate yourself to the process it will serve you well. I am graduating the program feeling infinitely more confident in my skills which was ultimately one of my goals. Do know I everything, absolutely not, but I do have practical coding experience and a plethora of tools and resources to continue to improve my craft. My instructors, Brandt and Brendan, pushed me, challenged me, but were patient with me. They each went above and beyond the scope of their jobs numerously to ensure I succeeded in the program. I had countless one on ones, after hour and weekend assistance, and was always encouraged by reviews of my performance. My assignments were returned quickly with great critiques and often times praises. There are a ton of boot camps out there - I do not have anything to compare this to, but I couldn't be happier than with how the last 12 weeks have played out. I am excited for the next steps as an alumni and look forward to continuing my learning! -

I enrolled in a boot camp program with the expectation of acquiring proficient coding skills and transitioning into a new career. The contract stated that the program would provide job placement assistance, but unfortunately, six months after graduation, I have yet to receive any meaningful support. Despite submitting over 300 job applications, I have not received any assistance beyond being advised to apply to more positions. Additionally, the staff responsible for job placement have all resigned, and to my knowledge, there has been no effort to replace them.
Regrettably, I must caution others against enrolling in this program if they are seeking a genuine career transition. I am currently $17,000 in debt and believe that the curriculum offered in the program can be easily accessed online for free. -

I recently finished up the Coding Temple Part-Time online 12-week Bootcamp and had an absolutely fantastic experience with it. Right off the bat, major credit has to go to my instructor, Christian, for his stellar job of communicating clearly and plainly for a coding newbie like myself. From day one there was a very fun tone set for our class that took most of the traditional dry/boring-ness of traditional education completely out of the equation. Don't let that fool you however, it was a very intense 12 weeks and requires a great deal of dedication, time, discipline, and research on your own time to truly get the most out of this course. It's very much a "you get out what you put in" scenario so if you're taking the plunge I highly suggest going in 100% and not half-assing it. The structure of the course is well thought out and makes logical sense as you built a strong foundation of coding knowledge early on in the classroom and through daily challenges, homework, and projects. If there were ever any students that weren't sure of how something worked or if there was ever any confusion on a topic, Christian was to-notch at figuring out a different approach to explaining it to us to make sure that we all stayed together on the learning journey and that no one was left behind. Overall I will say it was the right choice for me to go with Coding Temple for several personal reasons. Scheduling, timeline, availability of instructors/tutors, budget, and reputation were all very important in my decision to choose this bootcamp over the numerous other ones I looked into. Enough about that though... if you're serious about trying to switch careers into software development you should go ahead and apply now! console.log('Thanks for reading my review! Best of luck out there!' -

This bootcamp opened my eyes to how coding works and taught me how to code. I’m from the sales industry so it helped me get a job as a sales engineer. I have an appreciation for coding now which has made me a better salesperson. My goal was to become a software engineer but I make more money now as a sales engineer than I would as a new software engineer. So I’m very happy. All jobs in the tech industry make great money apparently. For whatever reason you’re taking this course, do it. -

I recommend this bootcamp to anyone trying to switch career paths! I thought the courses were really informative and this bootcamp (as I understand it) has a lot more out of class support than comparable programs. The teacher I had (Sam Davitt) was extremely knowledgable and helpful in explaining difficult concepts! Our TAs were also former grads and therefore always knew how to help us push through the harder parts of the program. Finally, I think the thing Coding Temple does the best is their accessibility to support and alumni continued learning! The career coach Marlene Tang is absolutely incredible and a huge asset to this bootcamps success. She's extremely helpful, organized, and goal oriented which helps once you've graduated and are unsure of your abilities. Overall I think if this is the best bootcamp program out there. -

Everything about this program is absolutely amazing. In regards to learning the course material and finding a place of employment. The people involved with Coding Temple truly care about its students and continue to help them thrive in the industry they choose to follow. I originally took the course to be a software engineer, but later I found that I really enjoyed working with data. Therefore, even with the credentials relating to software engineering, I was able to achieve my dream of becoming a data analyst! With out their help, I really would not have been able to complete the high intinsity program. But you certainly have to want this profession. The course is not easy but once you achieve it at graduation, the possibilities are endless for where you will end up! -

Ryan and Alex were crazy good instructors for this course. They kept our class environment very relaxed and enjoyable while teaching us some very fast paced and tough stuff. The curriculum, however, is not chill. You will have to work your butt off just to keep up so don't take any of the 10 weeks lightly. There will be long nights and weekends spent studying, maybe some crying, and definitely asking yourself at least once, "why did I do this?" But then when you graduate, granted you've done everything required to graduate, (and you TOTALLY can) you'll absolutely be able to answer that question and feel extremely accomplished by what you've just done. I highly recommend this course if you want to push yourself to learn something new, change careers, or improve on whatever coding skills you already have and come out the other side prepared to tackle the job search in software development. And if you get Ryan and Alex as instructors then just know you've hit the jackpot! -

Coding Temple is a fantastic, immersive, and very personal experience! The student-to-instructor ratio is amazing at about 6-to-1. Each day was filled with many hours of learning new technologies and actual coding experience with challenging homework each night and full-fledged weekend projects too. For the past 12 years, I have worked in the Oil and Gas industry. During the pandemic, I took some classes in software development and fell in love with this industry. It was at this moment I decided to take a bootcamp. After extensive research, I decided to attend Coding Temple. It was one of the few bootcamps that offered the option to have instruction from an instructor and worked best with my schedule. This was the best decision I have ever made. I learned so much during the three months at Coding Temple. I can now build full stack applications!! How amazing is that!! With the skillset I acquired at Coding Temple, I was able to land a job as a Software Engineer. I could not have landed it without the amazing instructors at Coding Temple. I learned so much from my instructor, Kevin Beier, who taught me all the skills I needed to make my dream come true. Also, had a great TA, Shoha Tsuchida, who was there to help and answer all of my questions. Also, while you are in the program they offer so much support, especially if you are struggling or need someone to talk it out with. Thanks to Blair Talley!! She helped me and answered all of my questions during my time at the program. She was so helpful! Another great thing about this bootcamp is that after you graduate, you have a career coach for life!! Marlene Tang is the best! She is outstanding at her job. She will not only help you with your resume, but with your LinkedIn profile as well. After she reviewed mine, I was getting 2-5 interviews a week. This truly made a difference!! She also preps you in learning the job interview process (what you should and should not do). Her advice is what helped me land the job!! Thank you Marlene!! After you graduate, you have full access to mock interviews and continuing education lead by Nate Welter and Sam Davitt. They are great at their jobs and will continue to enhance your skillset. I am so glad I attended this bootcamp. It made my dream come true!! -

Amazing Instructors and Curriculum, Worth Every Penny

I attended Coding Temple after getting a bachelors in a computer science program at a university and I'm very glad that I did. We covered more ground with hands-on practical programming and theory than we did in my bachelors degree. College really lacked in experience creating real projects and coding with frameworks. Coding Temple filled in all the gaps I had from college and gave me a real portfolio to showcase to employers. While interviewing for jobs, 90% of what was discussed what what I did in the bootcamp, what I made, what I used, and how I did it. I did not get this in college. The instructors were fantastic and there is an immense and overwhelming amount of support from them and the other faculty. The career services offered after graduation are amazing and far exceed what was provided by my university. Every from resumes to LinkedIn to networking was covered in great detail. After graduation, there are several weekly workshops covering job searching, data structures and algorithms practice, and trainings in new technologies. Coding Temple provided more practical knowledge and education than I got through any other avenue. The only thing that rivals this is working as an intern at a startup. If you are wondering, like I was, about whether or not this would be worth the money, stop wondering. It is worth every penny and without this experience, I wouldn't have landed a job making just under 6 figures as a starting salary just weeks after graduating. Make no mistake, it is very, very, very difficult, stressful, and will consume every moment of you time. But, the juice is well worth the squeeze so get off the fence and just do it already. -

It's Great!
This coding bootcamp is awesome. I learned so much throughout, it's an intensive but rewarding bootcamp. It was great learning how to apply the skills I've learned. I really loved the projects we had to complete, as I could use my creativity to add my own flair to them. The 1-1 help was also really great and the instructors were amazing! I would highly recommend Coding Temple! -

The best decision I could have made!

From the start of the bootcamp to the "end" you were never alone in your new journey. Once enrolled, I was given pre-work that must be completed before the start of your cohort. I was also added to the Coding Temple community through Slack, with many channels. It was reassuring to know I could simply reach out and get assistance from either the instructors, TAs, students, etc. The course work is very fast-paced and we had homework every night. Being dedicated and giving it my all helped me complete all my coursework. My instructor was very kind to answer any and all questions. It is very tough to code-along with the instructor so when I felt I couldn't keep up, I would just watch, listen, and take notes. This helped the information sink in better. The instructor also provided lots of helpful documentation and helpful resources. I saved every link which I was able to refer back to for homework and my final project. There are also student activities to get involved in like: Codewars workshops, algo nights, random trivia recess, etc. Coding Temple also provided night instructors that are available to help with homework and projects after lecture hours. The best part about Coding Temple is the alumni resources, which include career and tech advisors for life! Which is exactly why a put quotes around "end" at the beginning of my review because you are always apart of the Coding Temple community even after you graduate! Wonderful course, school, staff, students, everything! -

TAKE THIS COURSE
What an experience! The class pace is fast but manageable, and the course info is geared to make you learn how to think like a programmer so you can take your skill sets across different languages. My instructors Kevin and Dylan, made sure to make them available at all times. Could not be more happy with choosing coding temple.
