    Great experience. Learned a ton.

I was very nervous and scared when I came in the first morning. I was 42 years old, a woman, and no prior experience with programming. Computers were for checking email, getting on Facebook, and buying things on Amazon. I arrived early and saw one other per...

Good, but plety of room for improvement

I came into the program with no prior coding experience (I knew what an html opening/closing tag was, but that's about it). I finished undergrad with a degree in Psychology (heavy on neuroscience) and a minor in dance. I was pre-law, took the LSATs, and rea...

I came in to Coding Dojo not knowing what to expect. On the first day I was nervous, but with in the first five minutes I was put at ease by the friendly and welcoming instructors. I was in college for four years before deciding that I wanted to do somethin...

    Coding Dojo Silicon Valley

My cohort at Coding Dojo Silicon Valley began towards the end to September 2015 and concluded on the first week of January 2016. I accepted a full-time offer as a Web Developer at a digital agency on February 20th, 2016. I was very hesitant about joining a ...

    Don't bother!

I recenty completed the online Coding Dojo bootcamp. I have some experience coding at home just from what I've learned myself (books, videos etc) so I thought I would learn faster through the Coding Dojo bootcamp, I was wrong! Coding Dojo works from a platf...

    Most unethical place

Just not too long ago, it all started with the one word, "trust." But the trust that was showed back to me was outrageous. "No asshoe type of attitude allowed", but instructors were constantly late. Absent without at least telling excuses, and ahead of time...

I would NOT recommend the program

If you are interested in learning how to code this is not the place for you. Although they claim anyone can learn, it is quickly shown that is not the case. Not only you are constantly referred to Google every time you have a question, but they also teach a...

    Overpriced school for underperformance

Coding Dojo is basically a large scale investment for a bootcamp that will get you virtually no where. I often look at classmates from linkedin and most of them are still unemployed. Their method of training is cheap and wrong. You essentially spend most of...

Chung Kim tried web development 15 years ago and had a real aptitude for it, but he didn’t put those skills to the test until he recently decided to move to the Bay Area to join Coding Dojo and attend their 12-week coding bootcamp. He was referred to Coding Dojo by a friend that had recently completed their bootcamp. Having recently completed the course himself, Chung tells us about choosing pr...

While coding bootcamps are designed to be cost-effective alternatives to a conventional education in Computer Programming, prospective students still need to carefully manage their finances. As many leave their full-time jobs to attend, money is often tight for the average coding bootcamp student, and given the full-time requirements of most programs, working part-time is simply not an option. ...

So you enrolled in a reputable coding bootcamp, showed up every day, drank enough Red Bull to kill a real bull, and graduated with a solid understanding of OOP, MySQL, Heroku, and twenty other terms that are not, it turns out, foreign swear words. It’s smooth sailing from here on out, right? Wrong. Too many coding bootcamp alumni assume that graduation marks the end of their journey when, in tr...
