Best decision of my life
Read more Read less of Hugo Gameiro's review
As I said to some recruiters, I had the best midlife crisis ever.
I worked in a call center for almost 10 years when exactly 3 years ago I decided to change my life and enroll in <Academia de Código_>.
I was afraid that my 42 years old was somehow an obstacle to hiring, but the truth is that after 15 days of the finished course I had the best contract I had seen so far.
In addition to the ease with which they teach technical knowledge in a very short time (3 and a half months very intensive), they also help with the creation of a CV much more appealing to this industry and, at the same time, help to approach in a positive way the job interviews.
Today I started a job in a new company where, in addition to really enjoying what I am going to do now, I will finally double my income salary compared to what I was earning 3 years ago.
Every day I am grateful to those souls who are dedicated to changing the lives of people who enter <Academia de Código_>
Thank you <Academia de Código_> -

Got the code, got the family.
After you get in you're <AC_> for life, they make you learn step by step #noSkiping and you get the how things are made knowledge.
You get more than just plain "how to code", you get a community that backs you up all the way.
Loved it! -

Within less than 2 months after finishing I landed a job.
The bootcamps require you to give 200% of your life during those 3 months, but it's definitely worth it. They push you to the limit, all the while maintaining an amazing informal and casual relationship with the class.
They give you the tools to succeed, but the work needs to come from you.
The mentorship is great, even if you doubt yourself throughout 90% of the time. In the end you get an amazing feeling of achievement.
Also, after finishing they don't "dump" you. They almost take you by the hand and give you instructions on what to do after in order to enhance your probability of landing a job. This, to me, was a huge plus.
There's no magic. Just hard work.
I can't recommend the bootcamp enough. Even during remote they kept the most iconic parts going and the teaching didn't take a hit. My bootcamp was 80% remote 20% live.
And, of course, you make amazing and longlasting relationships along the way. -

Before starting the bootcamp, I was looking for a better job, doing something I probably liked.
After finishing the bootcamp, I am doing what I always dreamed of.
I am in a job that provides all the challenges I wanted for myself, accepting different daily tasks, learning new things every day and being better than myself the next day.
The bootcamp I had @ <Academia de Código_> not only prepared me for my current job, it also provided friends for life, new experiences and in addition to having great tutors, they were always a great support during the bootcamp.
Would do it again! -

Applying and completing this bootcamp was the best investment I've made in my whole life. You will learning something new everyday along side wonderful collegues and teachers. Hands down the best learning experience I've had. It takes work and dedication but anyone can do it. I've got a job after two weeks and I'm currently happy in the firm I'm working on! -

This is one of a kind life changing experience... hands down, no bullshit, straight forward and as simple as this.
You get to experience the most intense, fast paced, detailed and specialised training program, focused in computer programming and computer science, but you do this while in the most creative and emancipating environment you can dream of.
It's something you never seen or tried before, and I can guarantee, you will never experience it again, it's something you do and changes you forever... it goes beyond the coding, it completely changes your life.
The skills you will learn, what you will achieve, what you will become after the bootcamp is a new enhanced you.
And the people behind this, the pure brilliance behind each and everyone of them, it's like they are unique stars that somehow got carefully aligned to boost you and leverage all the things you didn't know you had, turning you from the rough piece of carbon into a specialised shiny diamond.
<AC_> has the best bootcamp ever, EVER. -

I was, once upon a time, an unemployed Clinical Analysis Master's graduate.
Then I learned how to code, and I never looked back.
Now seriously, there are many reasons why I think anyone jobless, with quick thinking, an interest for technology and an eternal thirst for knowledge should apply for this course:- The syllabus is really strong. You will learn to read the Code as if it was a natural language. It will quickly take you through the 1s and 0s of the old ways, so you better understand how the Code evolved into the modern languages of today (Java && JavaScript).
- The road is full of challenges and discoveries. You will constantly have the limits of your abilities tested. But don't worry if this sounds scary. You will always have by your side trustworthy Padawans (instructors) to guide you through.
- You will obtain knowledge that will turn you into an independent and ever-evolving Je- I mean Coder.
On the career side of things:- You will be prepared for interviews. During the bootcamp you will be doing presentations, test your tech knowledge and improving your CV to better suit the needs of your future employers.
- There are opportunities during the bootcamp for employers to contact you directly and you will be prepared accordingly.
- Last time I checked, the percentage of employed graduates was around 96%.
What are you waiting for? Change your life. Do or do not. There is no try - said a green wise wizard. -

Just possibly the best thing that ever happened to me!
I have a degree in Biology but I struggled to have a consistent, well-paid job.
After some back and forth in my life, I found this incredible and supporting family called <Academia de Código_>.
The Bootcamp is very intense but it manages to make you a great problem solver.
The syntax is just syntax, I think the best outcome is their ability to make you think for yourself, gain confidence, and that makes you capable of learning, and overcoming any struggle.
This is much more than just a regular Bootcamp, it makes you a better person overall and gives you the tools to thrive in software development, you just need to have the guts and the will to take it and make your own path.

The best decision I ever made. It is really intensive, you breathe coding all day long during 14 weeks, you will need willpower avoid quitting in the first 2 weeks, but it will be 200 % worth.
You will learn how things work, you learn how to do things from zero, you really know what is happening behind all the abstraction that the different frameworks and libraries use during the boot camp. Design Patterns and good practices are present every day in every lecture.
Beyond all the programming concepts, you will make a new family with other Cadets, with the Master Coders and all the people from Academia de Código.
After the 14 weeks, you will be a new person, you will know your strengths and weakness, and most of all you will be ready to get trough any challenge you face in your life.
Don't think twice and apply for the boot camp ... thank me later. -

Academia de Código is the brave new world on programming education!
Nothing like a regular school! Academia have a modern approach on lectures, exercises and authentic features to improve all your skills. In fact, all your potential, both technical and social, will be pushed to the limits and beyond.
This three months will look like three years due to high immersive rhythm of the bootcamp. And that's not only because of the exercises and the syllabus, no! You will be guided throw the bootcamp by an awesome staff and creating really strong bounds with your classmates throw group exercises (in which you will learn how to work as team and manage the team moral and workflow).
To show you of how intensive and efficient Academia de Código bootcamp is, here this example: with just to two weeks learning java, me and all my classmates, who start the bootcamp with no background skills on programming, were able to develop a game from scratch in a single week, writing all the code with no guidance while learning a new graphic library to do it- and we still had lectures that week to attend for learning new stuff, which left us with almost no time to work on the game.
Also, if you don't have the money from start to pay for the bootcamp, Academia de Código have solutions to overcome that problem in way that the money will not be a problem at all.
If you are into programming and want to start a new career on this area, don't wast more time, come join this awesome family of coders! -

<Academia de Código_> Bootcamps
Are they intense? YES.
Are they tough? YES.
Do they accelerate cognitive abilities to the limit? YES.
Do they require a spirit of resilience? YES.
Do they defy fear and anxiety? YES.
Are they motivators? YES.
Are they absorbent? YES.
Are they for sissies? definitely NOT.
I come from a “gray” area (finance and accounting) and I never thought that at the age of 57 I would go through an experience of this nature. I just know that it was worth every cent I invested.
I met wonderful people and learned a lot. I started to understand the world before and after the “ENTER”, and how through programming we can create other realities.
For me, it was like a vaccine against aging. However, anyone who wants to participate in this experience has to be aware that it is 3 months of pure involvement and dedication. There is no place for distractions as the focus has to be maintained until the last day.
When we finished the 14 weeks of training, we felt as if 3 years had passed. But at the end of the last second of the last day, the feeling of personal fulfillment is brutal. -

Hardcore Matrix-like Learning
Read more Read less of António Morão's review
You know how in the first Matrix movie you're shown Neo learning everything by plugging in a data container to a learning framework and it's over in a few seconds? Basically <Academia de Código_> does the real-life equivalent by condensing a lot of knowledge to be learned in as quickly as possible.
Between the fast pace and the extent covered, the only drawback is that you have to have the capacity to absorb all that knowledge while more is still being pushed into you. I can't say it's the same for everyone, but I definitely benefited from already being familiar with programming in general to be able to keep up without having to pour too many extra hours in reviewing contents.
It is not flawless and not everyone should try to undergo this course. But I'm confident saying that you'll come out of it with a solid foundation in programming knowledge and a productive mindset. -

It was an amazing, super challenging and highly productive experience.
In addition to all technical skills acquired, we are constantly challenged to work our soft skills.
The teaching method allows us to improve our resilience, communication and above all our self-taught skills.
Throughout the bootcamp we are oriented on how we should look for a job and in fact i was surprised with the number of contacts received from companies when bootcamp ended.
All of this is provided due to the effort and dedication of all the incredible staff of the <Academia de Código_> that provide a wonderfull enviroment to the students in particular the teachers who make a perfect management of student's different learning rhythms. -

My journey to learn programming started by doing online courses on YouTube, udemy, udacity. While doing the courses felt of a need to take classroom course. After hearing from one of my friend applied through online site of academia de código and they accepted my application. From the beginning to the end, they surpassed my expectations. They are really good what they do. They never leave you in dark, of course they give challenge to do yourself but you will always find their helping hand. The most important thing is that the family you create with this 14 weeks bootcamp, it creates a bond among the students and the instructors for being together for that long. Finally, the post course completion assistance for the job is overwhelming. They were always beside as and still is. I am proud to say that I am an alumni of Academia de código. -

I had previous experienced, developed 2 or 3 games and knew some AI algorithms by memory. I thought this would be easy until half the bootcamp. I was SO wrong. I was learning new stuff and improving every single day!
It's incredibly enjoyable. You spend 14 weeks developing professional skills in a comfy environment, with plushies and friends around you, being tested against hard odds but still having a blast. Amazing teachers, who love their job, will be your friends and care for you throughout the journey, passing their knowledge and treating you as an equal... that's amazing!
It's a big challenge, but it's also a great experience. People from different backgrounds have come and gone and no one is left behind. It promises a bright future for everyone. Are you going to be the next fullstack programmer? :3

This course exceeded my best expectations. The course description is not an understatement. These were the most intensive, breathtaking weeks of my life with challenges every day. The master coders were all very friendly and most important very thoughtful to everyone explaining things in so many ways and never letting go until everyone understood the subject. But most importantly they teach us new ways of thinking and how to approach each problem. Five stars for the whole team is just perfect for the perfect team. Thank you very much for everything!

5 stars is not enough to rate the opportunity, and experience, I lived for 14 weeks.
It literally changed my life. From a clueless, future-less, scattered unemployed with no academic degree, to a promising, motivated Full Stack Software Engineer, that grabbed a terrific job at the European Parliament, back-lighted with the mighty knowledge absorbed from my Padawans and my 14 weeks borrowed family. As it transforms strangers in family, and hard work, suet and tears, in love, prosperity and future. Grab it! -

..that's what my bootcamp @ <Academia de Código_> helped me do!
Let me tell you a bit of my story:
I grew up in Évora (Alentejo) > attended university in Lisbon (Management + Public Administration) > worked in Lisbon (1,5 years) > realized Lisbon's life style was not for me > moved to Beja (Alentejo) > spent 8 months searching for a job > did a 9 months internship + worked in accounting (10 months) > then it finally hit me, my inner voice told me: CHANGE YOUR LIFE MIGUEL.
And I did :)
My twin brother had attended this bootcamp 1 year before and, because of it, I knew I had the right mindset to become a programmer, so..
I applied to <Academia de Código_>'s (AC, for short) bootcamp without ever studying anything remotely close to programming. I did use and knew how to use several programs but I had no real knowledge of any programming language.
I solved their challenge and got a golden ticket to one of their workshop! YAY!
But I was so nervous that I f#$%ed up and got turned down. They asked me to go to a second workshop though..
..but, to attend that one I had to miss a trip to Peru (see ya some other time Machu Pichu..!) but I studied hard and worked to improve and I passed! I WAS IN :D
I was so happy to have finally found a bootcamp that taught just like I enjoyed learning.
The room is different, the teachers are different, everything is different... in a good way! You FEEL like you CAN BE YOUR AWKAWARD SELF. Nobody says anything if you don't go BUT YOU WAN'T TO GO EVERY DAY. Every day is exhausting BUT YOU ARE THERE THE NEXT MORNING. This.. my friends, is called PASSION.
This is what I found in AC_'s bootcamp, my passion for programming.
I also found myself explaining every solution to my peers, I WANTED them to FIND what I did and I tried my best to be understood.
AC_'s staff is: helpful, understanding, make you feel comfortable and they ALWAYS MAKE SURE that you learned the lesson.
Stop reading the reviews, stop searching, YOU FOUND IT.
Apply to one of <Academia de Código_>'s bootcamps right now!

I came from a totally different background and I realized that thanks to <Academia de Código_> I have learned to think properly. They provide you with both the technical skills and the mindset needed to succed in as a Fullstack Web Developer. You learn all the main tools, frameworks and libraries that are nowadays essential to every developer. You gain culture about this amazing technologic world that we live in and you become able to talk about code even to a child or a grandmother!
You really have to live, eat and breathe code for 14 weeks but you really feel that everyone get your back! They make it fun, challeging, rewarding and while learning and making friends, you trully feel that you get back all the effort you put in! Sometimes you cannot realize during the process, like it happened to me and some other coleagues, but when you're in the real world, you're ready to shine like the code rockstar they teach you how to become!

I was happily part of the 7th <AC_> Bootcamp in Fundao!
Had a great feeling about it since the first moment when decided to apply! Everything was based on hard work, from the selection process to the successful market integration afterwards.
The program was carefully created and crafted by amazing great professionals and delivered by a great team of individuals, in which, even them, were the direct result of <AC_> extraordinary methods!
I felt that I've learned a LOOOOTTTT in a very short time, was able to dispute head to head interviews against bachelors and masters in Computer Science for Software Development roles and, in no moment felt less prepared!
Be mindful, however, that practice makes perfection, its no miracle and demands a lot of effort, curiosity and long hours from your side if you plan to choose this path!
As a career changer myself, with a very specific goal in mind, I can clearly state that I have done one of the best decisions in my life when choosing <AC_>! -

I was skeptical about <A/C_> when I first heard of it. The more I looked, the more I got convinced it was the thing to do, but once I got there all my expectations were exceeded. Expecting it to be some boring classes like every other course I had taken, it is the polar opposite. You learn by having fun, when you make a question the answer is not immediate, you're pushed to think for yourself and find it. Apply your new learned skills in small projects every week, and then learn to work as a team with bigger creative projects and a final 24 hour hackathon, which will be unforgettable.
Fourteen weeks that will change your life!
