The course was a great introducion to Cybersecurity. I am very new to this and found the instructors were very knowledgeable and guided the course very well. I would suggest more hands on mini projects like audits or reporting. Or break down secions into homework that gets the class to think about what they have learned. Ryan and Michelle were very nice during the whole class. They were very helpful when we had problems and made sure we don't have any questions before moving into the next chapter. The best part about BrainStation is the learning style is very engaging and made to help you collaborate with other students. This made the course more enjoyable as it becomes easier to understand the content when speaking about it in an open format. There are lots of opportunities to take pauses and try a real-world exercise that can test your understanding. Overall the content is informative about product management but serves more as a starting point for you to jump off from and continue your learning. I really liked the in-person aspect of learning and engaging with my classmates and learning together. I developed skills that I have wanted to for a very long time but didn't have the discipline to carve out time during the week to do - and I was able to build a prototype of an idea I've had for a very long time. I'm very glad I took this course, I've been a graphic designer for 20 years and had no idea how much I did not know. I have so much more confidence now, in Figma, with colors, with grids (8 point grid specifically) and more. And it was not just instructors reading, they are real UI designers working in the field right now explaining with real world examples, that really helps. Read less

Overall very valuable experience and I strongly recommend it. It was great to learn in a classroom with a small group. The lessons contained up-to-date information and instructors transferred the knowledge efficiently and in an easy-to-understand way, making it fun as well. They shared a lot of examples from their own professional experience, which was very important. Learn important concepts about Machine Learning and Generative AI and how to use the tools. Teachers were great and very knowledgeable with the topics. The class ended with project presentation from each student where we had to present a project of our choice using AI tools that were taught in class. We had a good class dynamic going on. As the course finished, we become part of the alumni group and are invited to different networking activities and speaker session by industry professional. It is worth the price! Read less

The data science certificate is a good way to brush up/learn basic statistics and python. My instructors were helpful and engaging teachers. The class is a mixture of lectures and in-class practice exercises. Good access to alumni and employment opportunities.  Read less

1. This is a review is about the bootcamp  Conducted by Brainstation attended at Vancouver, and all my experiences and personal thoughts
2. First of all, their main marketing focus is stating that you can transit any career to IT or tech, The blunt truth is 3 month program would not make you an IT professional.
3.  This institute offers full time physical class, however they do not mention first two weeks is on-line delivery. This is because previous cohort is not finished with the physical classes(Basically lack of physical . So they offer online classes for the first two weeks. (Just a lie/ fake marketing)
4. This program is 400 hours, most of the hours are considered as (Work Period or Open Studio[ask your instructors]) basically the time where you spend the Working on your projects/assignments. You could learn more if you watch YouTube or Udemy, they explain the concepts better and in simple terms. 
5. Course materials are zero value addition, you find better materials by YouTube Creators for free. 
6. Instructors are not that competent, the instructors get confused during the middle of the lecture. 
7. Event space / study area is constantly used for other events, you get consistently interrupted to move away by the staff. This is where marketers show off the area. 
8. Social events / Career Events / Demo mainly attended by the past students and unemployed people (Rarely any recruiters)
9. The scholarship is a joke, if you opt for monthly instalment they add additional fees. Demolishing the main purpose of the scholarship.
10. Career support is zero, you are on your own, Searching a full time job is a full time job. 
11. Career Development sections are not value adding, no one to one consulting, they just send the messages over slack.
12. For 16K+, it is not worth at all, 5-8k should be ok. 
13. The cafeteria is just bad coffee. 
14. Finally, DONT NOT TAKE NOT WORTH IT

The pace was rigorous for a class with no prerequisites. The instructors were world class with a wealth of knowledge.  I would have appreciated some supplemental reading assignments in between classes so I could keep up with the class better. Again, the class itself was excellent, but the caliber of students wasn't what I was expecting. Unfortunately, many of my classmates did not participate fully in the weekly classes and they did not complete the final project - this reduces the value of this certificate for me as I am confident that those who did not complete the materials still received the certificate. I hope that Brainstation can find more ambitious professionals to take their courses.  Read less
