There are many bootcamp style programs out there for UX, but this one is a cut above. I did a lot of research to select it, and having now graduated, I feel it was well worth it. It was a ton of work, it was hard, but it was impactful and a very fun experience. It was definitely one of the most intense 12 weeks I've ever endured, truly a full time commitment. The educators are fantastic, and extremely talented designers with complimentary skillsets. I feel I have a very solid foundation to go forward and continue to develop the skills taught in the program towards being an employed designer. The field moves quickly, and I felt the material was current and industry relevant. I think the impression I was given was that I would have all the skills required to be ready to apply for jobs immediately after finishing the program, but I'm not sure thats true, and I don't think thats a bad thing. Take the course, get a great education - It is (in my opinion) the most efficient path to being able to call yourself a designer, but know that there is more work that you should expect to do before being ready to apply for positions. -

Exciting journey to new skills
The program was intensive but at the same time really exciting, I studied awesome skills. The educators were just brilliant! I addition, what is really important is that I have got confidence that I could achieve almost everything since I managed to implicated an impressive project in less than 12 weeks. -

BrainStation Data Science Bootcamp is a great place to start if you are looking for a career transition. I learnt so much from the Bootcamp in just 12 weeks. The education and career development teams at BrainStation gave me plenty of support to learn and develop my skills. Starting from the basics languages such as SQL and Python, I was able to build complex supervised and unsupervised machine learning models for my capstone project by the end of the course. Moreover, the speaker events, presentations and industry projects at BrainStation gave me opportunities to network with professionals in the field and other students from the UX and Web Development Bootcamp as well. -

Making a career change and learning a new skill completely outside your comfort zone can be quite daunting, but at BrainStation they make sure that you are learning everything you need to break into the field of Data Science. The instructors and career team are very knowledgeable, helpful, and approachable. The BootCamp is very intense, so be ready to commit fully to this, and it might feel like you won't be able to make it, but the instructors always instil a level of confidence in you to keep going. It was one of the best decisions of my life, and was totally worth it!! Would do it again. -

I had done a lot of research before taking this bootcamp and am glad that it seems to have paid off so far. I truly believe that you get out of any bootcamp what you put in, and I ensured that I did extra activities before starting the bootcamp to make the most out of it. The instructors were great, approachable and provided relevant industry experience. The pacing of the bootcamp was great but could have included a few more industry examples/speakers to apply the learnings.
I can't comment on the Job assistance criteria yet as I have yet to enter the industry, but there are frequent career workshops. However, I believe that the onus is ultimately on the student to be proactive in networking and making connections throughout the bootcamp.
TLDR: Come prepared and take advantage of the resources provided, and you will develop a good fundamental base to start off in the UX field. -

I completed the Brain Station Course in the New York location, I am very happy with the knowledge I am able to take away from this course. From the beautifully decorated loaction to my amazing instructors Erin and Emma to the 5 star hot chocolate! One factor to understand is that you have to do your own homework once you leave, the tools for success are certainly there regardless. Very happy with my time at Brain Station! Thank you so much. -

It was good. I think my main criticism is that there didn't seem to be much oversight; instructors didn't care whether I did the homework or not. That's natural in an online environment; it's on you, the student, to hold yourself accountable and manage your own learning. I tried hard to keep up with it but ultimately fell behind. I think I would have done better if I had budgeted time to do the homework earlier, and reach out to the instructors for help. -

I selected BrainSation Data Science Bootcamp because I enjoyed working with Data, Machine Learning and AI. I visited the Vancouver campus and I enjoyed the vibe here. I chose BrainStation for a few reasons:
- In-person
- The instructors like Borna G. and Fallyn J. have deep technical backgrounds in Data Science, patience and passion for teaching. The TA, Aarati, had a Ph.D. in Engineering and was a student from past cohorts.
- Many students in my cohort have years of working experience and have Master's degrees.
- The network I can connect with during the Bootcamp and after is worth every penny.
The difference between a Bootcamp and college/university is that most of the students here are working professionals, and many have lots of experience, money and connections. These details are important.
The Bootcamp gave me a foundation in Data Science so I can dive in and get more expertise in the field that I want to. I know now how to Google the right topic and understand StackOverflow. I know understand Price Prediction, AI like ChatGPT and ML. I can't believe I can learn and know that much within 3months of studying.
The Bootcamp is not perfect and there are some adjustments should make to the curriculum especially during the last weeks when we have capstone. Some of the heavy topics such as Reinforcement Learning and Flask should be taught after the capstone when students are in a better state of mind.
I wrote this review during the last week of class and I have not had any job assistance yet (post-grad) so I can't give a review about job assistance. -

I really enjoyed this course, and the instructors were awesome. They really devoted a lot of time to discussion of the topics and provided real world examples. The other students in my class were also really insightful about their own experiences and this contributed to to the healthy learning environment.
A downside to this is that we didn't have time to cover all of the material, so I would suggest to the instructors to plan the courses a bit better to accommodate time for both content and discussion. I also thought the course could cover some more helpful resources and lectures on Product Management interview frameworks. This course is a great introduction to understanding Product Management as a beginner. -

The educators at BrainStation have been phenomenal. The whole learning experience from start to finish, has been amazing.
I started this bootcamp with zero knowledge about any lang/framework, and I would say I have a pretty good grasp of it now (even though I still have a lot to learn). This 3 month bootcamp is very intense but I did find it very manageable with the help from the education team. They're very supportive, knowledgeable, and genuinely are there to see you succeed which was comforting throughout this journey.

Starting over at 41 has been quite daunting. I have had my eye on Brainstation for months and finally made taking a certification there possible. I am so happy I did because I learned more in ten months than I did in college. The instructor answered any questions we had along the way and he gave real-time, industry examples. I took part in the UX Design Bootcamp at Brainstation and had such a great experience. The teachers and the learning experience were excellent and we got to work on industry projects. I came out of the course with 3 case-worthy projects and plenty of new knowledge under my belt.
The pace of the course is fast and requires motivation, but I received great support and lots of time from the teachers. It's was also great to get the opportunity to work cross-collaboratively with Devs and Data Scientists.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone who's interested in transferring into the field of UX. -

Antonello and Taylor are incredible educators and their attention to students is second to none. For those coming from non-designers backgrounds (which is majority of the students). The educators spend a lot go 1-on-1 time ensuring each student is developing their skills and confidence. Their industry knowledge and understanding of platforms is valuable and provides students with confidence that when completing the course students will be using the very latest design tools.
The bootcamp is a very intense process and requires you to work throughout the weekend. But is totally worth it for the projects that you can reflect on by the end.
100% would recommend for those looking to break into design with some incredible career support afterwards. -

Intense, loads of content covered, good projects to get hands on with data science and the methods being taught.
Easily one of the best career moves I've done to add hard skills to my skillset. I did this bootcamp as a career change into technical data science, and I think this has set me up well to do so. The education team is great and very knowledgeable, both from a content point of view and also in terms of their own careers and backgrounds into data science.
Great experience, and can definitely recommend for any one looking to start a career in data science and machine learning. -

I just completed the 10 Week - UX Design Certification course with Brainstation. I had a wonderful experience! I met like minded humans from all over the world and had inspiring instructors who are currently in the field and were kind and helpful along the way. I do recommend to gain some Figma knowledge prior to attending this course. I entered the program as a beginner to Figma and so much for your work will be conducted on that platform. Don't get me wrong, I've learned so much about Figma in my class, but I know it would've been easier if I had some prior usage experience. -

Overall a good introductory course on product management. I found the material very basic and introductory. A cursory google search on each topic would have surfaced more information. The teacher was great and extremely knowledgeable, but the material was bad. You also don't even get to keep the material. Not recommended for anyone with any amount of previous product management knowledge. -

My time at BrainStation has been very transformative to say the least. The entire course goes very in-depth into all different aspects of web development and more; Content you learn is then applied to amazing projects that are very challenging. My instructor for web-development were Anvit and Jim, they were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. The course materials were clear and concise. Although they say the boot camp requires zero knowledge before starting, I'd highly recommend looking at some basic html, css & javascript tutorials on youtube before starting. Learn the fundamentals before starting is vital because once you fall behind in the actual program it's very difficult to get back on track. All round, I'd recommend anyone that's willing to put in the hard work to become a developer to take this bootcamp! -

The Product Management course at BrainStation was great. The instructors were senior level Product Managers who had a mastery of Product Management topics. They kept the course engaging with group sessions and videos throughout. I have a much better understanding of the role a Product Manager plays, and how varied it can be for each organization. I definitely recommend this course to others interested in pivoting to Product Management roles. -

I spent a lot of time browsing different schools on course report weighing the pros and cons of different bootcamps before I ended up choosing BrainStation based on all the positive reviews and more importantly the vast amounts of graduates that ended up in big name companies. Even then I wasn't sure I had made the right decision but I am so glad I chose BrainStation.
The main instructor for the course, Daniil, was really good at explaining some of the more difficult concepts in simpler terms which was extremely helpful for us to grasp the ideas. We also worked with a couple other instructors (Michael Dismatsek and Andrew Carolan) who both had different and unique approaches in helping us pick up techniques and concepts as well. We were even able to experience working on real projects with people in cross-disciplines which is something I didn't even know I needed till I had experienced it.
The course is very fast paced and challenging but I honestly can say they provide all the means to help you achieve success if you put in the work and effort. I feel confident saying this being one month out of the bootcamp and having landed a position as a web developer. I definitely feel a little bit lucky but also going through the interview process I realize that each part of the bootcamp had prepared me with experience and the knowledge that was being asked of me. Also a final thing that I must mention is that the career service after the bootcamp is really invaluable. They are serious when they say the bootcamp doesn't just end and you're on your own. The career services after the bootcamp is a serious selling point on top of the bootcamp as well. -
