I recently completed the software engineering bootcamp, and it was truly an amazing experience. Not only did I gain valuable knowledge and skills in the field, but I also had the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who felt like family. The sense of community and support was incredible, and I made lifelong friends in the industry.
The bootcamp provided a comprehensive curriculum that covered all the essential topics in software engineering. From coding languages to software development methodologies, I learned practical skills that have significantly boosted my confidence in pursuing a software engineering career.
The instructors were knowledgeable, passionate, and dedicated to helping us succeed. They fostered a positive learning environment where questions were encouraged, and hands-on projects allowed us to apply what we learned. The guidance and mentorship I received throughout the bootcamp were invaluable.
One aspect I particularly appreciated was the emphasis on real-world projects. We had the opportunity to work on industry-relevant projects, which not only enhanced our technical skills but also provided us with valuable portfolio pieces to showcase our abilities to potential employers.
Overall, I highly recommend this software engineering bootcamp. It provided an excellent learning experience, a supportive community, and the confidence I needed to pursue a career in software engineering. I am now equipped with the knowledge and skills to confidently apply for software engineering jobs. Thank you to the entire bootcamp team for an unforgettable journey! -

Brainstation has a horde of talented instructors who are available for you to schedule plenty of 1 on 1 time with titans who really know their stuff.
The curriculum is brutal, and if you choose the 3 month bootcamp for data science, you're in for a wild ride.
It starts off slow and steady, learning some SQL, learning some reporting and communication practices,
then it goes into python and begins accelerating rapidly into advanced statistical concepts.
If you are honestly, (be honest with yourself), capable of maintaining focus for 80 HOURS A WEEK on course material, studying, and working the content, this bootcamp is the best there is for you.
However, I wish I did not take the 3 month class. I hardly had time to breathe. -

Challenging & Rewarding Experience
This bootcamp was jam-packed with so much information that is overwhelming at first but when you take a moment to thinking about it, it’s so amazing to realize the sheer amount of skills you learn, both hard and soft skills. All of the projects, group assignments, and experience working with industry partners made this a unique and impactful learning experience. -

I learned a lot from this class! I didn't have much experience with coding beforehand, but by at the end of the course I created a nice looking webpage. There was a lot of educational material provided by the school and education material on the internet. My teachers guided me and this is what helped me gain the capabilities that I needed.
The class was challenging which changed me as a person. I was shy when I started out in the class, but I gained confidence after I proved that I could handle the work and educational material. The class can be really intense for some, but I was able to get my work done because of my persistence. -

I recently had the pleasure of embarking on an immersive UX design journey through a remarkable bootcamp, and I must say, it was an experience that left an indelible mark on my professional growth. This comprehensive program provided an excellent platform for aspiring UX designers like me to learn, practice, and refine our skills, making it worthy of a solid four-star rating.
The bootcamp's curriculum was thoughtfully structured, covering all the essential aspects of UX design with great attention to detail. From the fundamentals of user research and wireframing to prototyping and user testing, ensuring a solid foundation for students of varying backgrounds. The course materials were well-organized, and the instructors fostered an engaging learning environment, encouraging active participation and fostering meaningful discussions.
The bootcamp's commitment to industry relevance was commendable. The curriculum kept pace with the latest trends and technologies in the UX field, ensuring that we received up-to-date knowledge and were well-prepared for the demands of the industry. The inclusion of industry guest speakers and workshops further enriched our learning experience, providing insights into real-world challenges and fostering connections with professionals in the field.
While the overall experience was undoubtedly remarkable, there were a few areas where the bootcamp could improve. Firstly, more emphasis on advanced UX concepts and techniques could have further enriched the learning experience, catering to students seeking to deepen their knowledge beyond the fundamentals.
In conclusion, this UX design bootcamp exceeded my expectations, equipping me with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to embark on a career in the exciting world of UX design. While there is room for growth in certain aspects, this bootcamp undeniably deserves a solid four-star rating and comes highly recommended for anyone looking to kickstart their journey in UX design. -

As a recent graduate of Brainstation's Software Engineering program, I cannot recommend a better program for those considering a bootcamp. The instructional staff, which included multiple talented teaching assistant's from prior cohorts, provided exceptional support throughout the course while the projects and learning materials are exceptionally curated. The course is tailored for beginners, however gives plenty of opportunities for students to move outside their comfort zone. I cannot recommend a better course for those who want to be able to build full-stack web applications independently. -

Entering the 4-week course, I knew the classes would be dense and fast-paced. But what I didn't expect was the retain all of the information by the end of the ~8 hour session. This alone is thanks to the wonderful instructors Aadil Khan and Emi Sato. They were both punctual, knowledgeable, and prepared. They also had a very good sense of awareness when it came to information overload, and would prompt a short break or lunch right when it was needed.
On top of this, the course structure was built in a way that the first class taught most of the theory and principles behind UX design. Every class after that became lighter and more playful. This approach left excited about what I had learned, and looking forward to the next class. Each class included slideshows with points explaining a broad and narrowed topic that the instructors would expand upon with their experience in the industry. This was vital for us to understand how the lessons relate to the real-world. We also had a few exercises where class-mates would work with each other. For example, we were told to interview each other after creating a script of questions to try and narrow down the persons core needs and pinpoints on a particular subject. Lastly, the online learning platform had some issues but still had an easy-to-use dashboard to access all course materials
Overall, I am pleased with the course from BrainStation and would learn from them again. I would recommend this course to anyone considering a new career, or pivoting to a different focus within design like me. -

What most stood out to me, consistently across the course, was the caliber of talent Brain Station brings on. Each instructor for my digital marketing course was both well qualified to lead the course and also generous in the time they took to lay it out using practical, real-world examples. They also invited everyone in the course to connect through LinkedIn and never hesitated to go the extra mile to teach or support when the need was there. Grade-A experience! -

The entire experience was just a blast for me. Learning more about how data works and how to analyze said data alongside my classmates really helped instill a lasting impression and is helping me towards sticking to a data heavy career path. The only thing I wished to happen more in class was more interaction with people outside of our immediate table group, but otherwise the classes were fun and informative and our instructor Moe was very approachable, which helped with asking him questions about the content. -

I was initially intimidated to undertake this course because of my lack of experience in this immediate field of design. I was relieved upon arriving to find a real mix of people with a range of experience, so I didn't feel so out of place.
We started with an overview of design thinking, gaining an understanding of the key principles underpinning UX design, as well as a bit of the history of how it has developed, and closely related fields and roles such as UI, product design etc.
My favourite thing about the course was the tutor's continuous encouragement of the class to offer opinions and ideas to engage with the content. I think this is really important when using a 'crash course' format. They created a relaxed atmosphere, and I think we were lucky to have 2 such experienced tutors whose experience we could draw on.
Absorbing all of the content was a big challenge, and I would advise anyone doing the course to make sure you have a bit of time booked in near the end to complete the presentation assignment.
In the final class, I really enjoyed hearing everyone's project concepts, and all though it was slightly nerve-wracking, I think that presenting our work gave us the best experience of the authentic job of a UX designer. I think it gave a flavour of how one might be able to enter the industry, and a good platform to begin a new career journey if you want to. -

The Brainstation UX Design Bootcamp was an intensive training program focused on hands-on, project-based learning.
The skills and knowledge needed for me to become a UX designer (such as user research, and information architecture) also taught industry-standard tools and software such as Figma to wireframing, prototyping, and user testing.
I was pleased to attend the program's curriculum which allowed me to apply their newly acquired skills to real-world projects.
Additionally, the instructors were experienced professionals and knowledgeable about the industry and provided valuable insights into the field. It was a great place to create networking opportunities and connect with other professionals in the field.
The program was intense and demanding as it was reaching the Final project deadline, requiring a significant time commitment, time, and a lot of effort.
Cost-wise, the program was totally worth it, overall, the Brainstation UX Design Bootcamp was a valuable investment in my career.
I definitely recommend it for those looking to break into the UX design field or enhance their skills. -

It's an intense 12 weeks you're in for but an amazing experience. You're learning a curriculum that might otherwise take a year or 2 at university. Great instructors and campus environment. Lots of hands-on experience with the assignments and your final capstone project. Would definitely recommend if you're looking to make the switch to data science. -

The camp was great. It's very intense, so I recommend reading ahead first, and doing some prep work on Python and SQL programming, but they cover everything you need if you're dilligent. The instructors look after you. They kept me on track when IO lagged behind. They also do lot's of career development. -

I signed up to this course because UX Design is something i've been doing for some years in my day-job as a product manager but it's happened organically and i had no formal qualifications in the area. The course felt quite intense, there is a lot of reading and 'homework' to fit in around a busy day job in a short space of time. And getting to grips with Figma (not having used it before) was tough, but i'm so pleased i did it. It's given me a lot of confidence in the work i do and the reasoning behind many of the decisions i have to make on a daily basis. Watching my classmates' final presentations was also fascinating, some of them were definitely the seeds of brilliant future digital solutions. -

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the FULL-TIME UX Bootcamp program. To further expand on my experience, there were several things that I particularly enjoyed, as well as a few opportunities for improvement:
Positives:
- Instructors: The instructors were experts in their field, and I particularly appreciated Kelly's no-nonsense approach and helpfulness.
- Community: The community was a highlight of the program, and meeting so many interesting people was worth the investment and choosing the in-person option.
- Demo Day: This was a fantastic opportunity to develop presentation skills and expand my network.
Areas for improvement:
- Submission expectations: It would be helpful to receive clearer guidance on the format of submissions, as it often felt like instructors were on different pages. Providing extra guidance on presentation deck formats, as well as real-world presentation deck formats, from the beginning would be appreciated.
- Design systems / Figma skills: While the program covered a lot of ground, I feel that more time could be dedicated to creating components, variations, and auto layouts. As far as I understand so far, these are essential skills for junior designers to have a solid grasp of.
- Employment rates: The program claimed a 90% employment rate, but this seems to be outdated and simply not true. While it is possible to find a position, it takes time, and company claims of high employment rates should be taken with a grain of salt.
Suggestions for future students:
- TAKE A FIGMA COURSE PRIOR TO BOOTCAMP. I saw many students struggling to get a grasp of Figma for many weeks.
- Prepare to put in work. Like, real work. Will get your money's worth.
- If you are an introvert / get anxious about big crowds and being around many folks every single day - maybe consider online or, even better, get comfortable with being uncomfortable and practice being around people.
- Get familiar with the design process prior to taking the boot camp.
- Start thinking about the topic/problem space for your capstone in advance. You will be given a week to come up with a problem space which is very little. Bonus point if you choose an area you are passionate about and would potentially want to work in a similar field.
Overall, I would recommend the full-time program for individuals without many life commitments who can commit 10+ hours a day to the program. This is the best way to get the most out of the experience. -

Does a great job at teaching a lot in a relatively short timeframe. Do not underestimate the intensity of this bootcamp, it is very intense, particularly in the middle 8 weeks. The instructors are great and bring a lot of real-world experience to the table. The career-help is good, but does tend to have quite an "American" view to it, which can contrast what you understand about how the UK job market works.
Overall a fantastic experience and incredibly valuable. -

I left a career in structural engineering to make the switch to data science. I was slightly skeptical of the BootCamp formula before I started. However, I was incredibly impressed with the content, in terms of the breadth of topics covered, and the depth we went into. The instructors were very helpful throughout, bringing great energy to every class. They taught the content in such a way that any prerequisite knowledge was not required. I just completed the BrainStation Web Development Course online which was led by Jim Rectenwald and Yathan, SE's at instagram and slack. I took the course to get familiar with HTML and CSS as a UX Designer. My overall experience was positive. The instructors were very approachable, welcome to answering questions, and were responsive to messages. The curriculum itself was well structured so that we could eventually learn how to code a responsive website for our final project by teaching us how to use flexbox, media queries, and modifier classes in stages during class activities every week. Only thing were the slides are a bit confusing to understand but attending class mostly helps. At the end I felt I had a good introduction to HTML and CSS and if I wanted to pursue a career in it, I would want to continue with other courses to further develop my skills. -

Their depth of knowledge and experience in the industry really shone through in their teaching.
