From the beginning until the end of the course, George and Pawel's unwavering support and guidance made the journey truly remarkable. The course was meticulously planned, creating a well-structured content framework with exercises that solidified my understanding. They went beyond teaching and served as mentors, encouraging exploration and different approaches. Their patience in addressing questions ensured a clear foundational knowledge.
One impressive aspect was their commitment to reviewing and providing feedback on our code, enhancing solutions, and refining programming skills. The small batch size fostered collaboration, establishing meaningful connections with students and instructors. This personalized attention was a key reason I chose this course.
Even after the course, George and Pawel remained in touch, offering guidance on work and projects. Despite health issues during the course, they accommodated my needs, allowing me to progress at my own pace while receiving the same level of instruction.
Thank you both for an absolutely wonderful experience!Overall5.0Curriculum5.0Job support5.0Instructors5.0 -

I contacted George and had a talk with him on remote, and also went to see the school before starting the bootcamp. The key points for me were the ratio of teacher/student (2 teachers 3 students in my case), that made me think that we could get a much more personal help (which was completely true) and the competent price.
I started the bootcamp without any JavaScript background, just by doing the pre-course that the school hands you and some small amount of extra preparation.
The way of learning that we had was doing the theory classes first, and then doing blocks of very well thought exercises for the rest of the day. That worked very well for me, because the exercises were tricky and after getting stuck and asking the teacher you can really understand how it works, and that there are many ways to make something work.
In HTML/CSS block, we also worked in doing our own portfolio.
After the first 5 weeks of classes, when all the stack needed for a full-stack website is covered (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, Express and MongoDB), we started the project block, that consists in thinking about a full-stack website idea and making it into reality. Here is where you learn the most, where you start getting familiar with technologies like React.js and to implement specific functionalities for the website needs.
After 2/3 weeks working on the project and finishing it. We did the React Native block, which consist of 1 day of theory class (it's very similar to React.js, so there is no need for more classes) and then started the mobile app project, that took the rest of the course.
You finish this course with a full-stack website, a full-stack mobile app and some good exercises that could also work for your portfolio if done properly.
When the course is over, you really feel prepared to get into the work market, you know the top demanded technologies and have enough confidence to pass technical tests in job interviews.
Some of us even had some real interviews/tests during the bootcamp, thanks to the connections that the school has with hiring companies.
I also have to say that the course is really intense, and I suggest being well-prepared before starting it, doing as much pre-work as possible.
Overall, it has been a super nice experience for me. I feel that I've learned really good skills for the job market, and I would recommend it to anyone that wants to learn coding.Overall5.0Curriculum5.0Job support5.0Instructors5.0 -

Everything is very well explained on their website before starting the course and they reply to any questions you may have or even can arrange a videocall before you sign up.
Instructors really adapt to your needs, due to personal reasons I went for 16 weeks option (the longest) and obviously it still requires a lot of studying and several hours every day, but the course materials, the instructors availability to reply to any questions (full office hours) and the 1:1 weekly meetings with the instructors support and guide you throughout the whole course and beyond. If you are a beginner, besides the 2 weeks pre-course (my advice is to make it longer if possible), HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Express, Mongo, React Native can be very challenging but very rewarding in the end.
I'd definitely recommend this school and/or course to anyone who is looking forward to learning Programming and all the languages previously mentioned.

The course i...When I first signed up for the course, I saw it as an opportunity to expand my skills and improve my CV, allowing me more options to choose from in the job market, I did not expect it to have this big a change on my way of approaching problems.
The course itself is intense, I found myself frustrated alot of the time, now looking back at those days I find them funny, but I truly remember days where I felt really discouraged and blocked, not because of a problem with the curriculum or instructors, but simply because of the number of new concepts I was trying to wrap my head around, but the further we went into the course, the less frustration I felt, and the more excited I became about adding more and more skills to my portfolio.
Frustration will be there regardless, but the instructors at BCS did a genuinly amazing job guiding me through it, especially when I think back at it now. At first I was a bit annoyed that my answers weren't being answered like I wanted them to be, and this will probably happen to you as well, but again, the farther we got into the course, the more I understood that I was asking the wrong questions somewhat, and the answers I was getting weren't the necessarily the ones that would solve my problem at the time, but they were the answers that would make me go on to be the best coder I can be.
So in a way, the most beneficial help my insturctors gave me was: knowing when to tell me how to fix a problem and push through the frustration and at other times knowing when to give me a small hint and let me go research a problem all on my own without making it too easy.
The layout of the course was really logical, it felt as if we had a natural progression among the topics, starting with the light stuff such as HTML/CSS and getting to know the ins and outs of JavaScript, and then moving on into the Front-end and Back-end centered programs, such as React, React Native and Express, and finally the course ended with the project period which was when everything truly came together, all the frustration and growing pains I went through during the early period of the course were replaced with productivity and fist-thrusts whenever a component finally worked like it should.
I would say that the course definitly changed my way of thinking, and this became more apparent in the period after the course, where the training wheels fell of so to speak, and I started coding on my own, something that seemed like a real challenge when I was still attending the class, but the good research habits I learned during the course, and my instructors always being ready to give detailed and fast help even until now have made a seemless transition.
This course will taught me how to approach coding problems in a really efficient and productive way, it allowed me to explore more of my creativity simply because I have so many more tools at my disposal now and it has aided me greatly in a professional sense as it has afforded me many new opportunities. I would recommend it to anyone trying to open new doors in their professional careers, or trying to find new avenues to express their creativity and individuality

I knew it was going to be a challenge, it's a lot to be taught in such short period, and I wasn't excited about it at all. Happened that through this school I became fond of programming, and now I feel like working with it too. I wish I had done this before.
The course goes very fast, as expected. Most of the time we were doing exercises and that gave me a certain fluency in programming even I was surprised about. Being frustrated sometimes was inevitable so I gave up trying to be good at anything while learning, I just took notes and tried to absorb as much information as possible in that period. Do not think they will explain every single detail, there's no time for that. Somethings just work, I took notes and reviewed it later by myself on my time - every night and weekend. The extra effort definitely paid off, I was complimented in my exercises and even managed to help other classmates.
George and Stefano, my lecturers, have wide experience in teaching international students. All explained in clear English and step by step. Both made the perfect combination for me as a student. Super George has many years of experience to share and Saint Stefano understands well the student's point of view, they could find the best way to help me get over my obstacles and grow.
They keep on updating their material to better fit today's needs. It's an unforgetable experience, amazing people, and the investment pays off itself in no time. I learned enough to be able to start working but also to continue learning by myself. The course definitely reduces the struggle of learning coding.Overall5.0Curriculum5.0Job supportN/AInstructors5.0 -

Hi Wynona.
It really hurts our feelings to read that you are disappointed with the course. As we are always trying to find the best personalised approach to every student it seems that we have failed to meet your expectations. Maybe it was partly due to you not coming for a lot of lectures and not following the curriculum, ignoring your mentors suggestions, skipping the pre-course or simply our intensive pace and bootcamp format are not something you expected.
As we have proven job placements for every student who finished the course successfully and was looking for a job your claims about unqualified instructors sound absolutely unbased.
The guy you are referring to never ever attended the course in the first place and simply started looking for excuses after receiving a full pack with materials, video lessons and recorded lectures, so he didn’t have a chance to experience the course and our teaching method.
I just wanted to post some quotes from my emails/messages to you showing concern and availability to help and support you with the course, as we do care for every student:
“Hi Wynona. How are you? Are you going to be back at school tomorrow? We need to go through the React Native section and bring you up to speed. ”
“Hi Wynona, how are you? Haven’t seen you at school for couple of days, is everything alright? ”
“Hi Wynona. How is it going? Any questions so far? ”
“Hi Wynona. How are you?Could you please remind me when you are going to travel for a week? Was it the last week of the course on December 17-21?As we are starting React Native on Monday it would be best if you are here for this new material.”
“Hi Wynona. How are you?I’m a bit worried about you skipping the lectures, especially now when we are doing react.js.Is there some issues/work?”
“Hey Wynona, how is it going? If you want, we can have a session with you after lunch to go through some exercises or explanations to help you to catch up?”
Etc., etc., etc…
Regardless of all this, we are always here for you available to help with anything possible.
Thank you. -

You will not learn much from it and you can not compete with other student from top boot camp code school. The program only last 9 weeks which is not enough time for you to master everything you need to be a good developer. If you looking to get a job after you complete the program, you will not find one because you don't learn enough for companies to be interested in you. If you read through the review, you'll realize the reviews are either fake or do not go into detail of the program - you don't get a good review that will give you a good idea of the school and what to expect.
One example of why the learning instructions are weak is, It only tells you what to do but it doesn't go into detail as to why you should code it this way. The instructions are like notes and not real instructions that explain for you to understand. You also get video instructions but you just watch and follow what to do and no explanation as what and why we're doing it. If you have to create a real app yourself after graduation, you will be stuck and will not know how to do it. Some of the instructions are example code and it doesn't really explain the code and what's it's doing.
Another example is some of the instructions are short such as MongoDB, HTML, and jQuery. HTML and MongoDB are only one page long of instructions. jQuery is a few pages but not enough to learn to confident with it. The courses that are longer do not go into enough detail. For example, in React discussion about props, it explains what props are with a few sentences and a code example but it did not explain the detail of props such as how to use props, types of props, how to pass props to from parent to child then to grandchild. You also won't learn how to define props to prevent a user from passing the wrong props type.
You can get better instructions on Youtube for free. Save yourself money and go to Youtube if you thinking of joining this code school. You should do your research and compare the top code school to this school and you will see that 9 week is not enough time to learn. BEWARE! This school just want students in and out to take their money. If you try to cancel even after 3 days, you will not get your money back but only get credits. If you don't live in Barcelona, you can't use the credits because the available courses are in-person and the owner does not care that you can't attend and he won't refund you. Every code school will allow you to cancel with a refund but not this school.

Hi Jaymes.
Once again, we are really sad by the fact that you are disappointed with our school. As far as I know, it's your second bootcamp which you didn't like. Let me just go through the things you mention to once explain how it works form our part.
As you mentioned, the course lasts for 9 weeks and it's been proved by our graduates from both, online and in-person formats, to be absolutely enough to get prepared for the junior developer's position. We have our alumni hired in 1-2 months on average after the job placement support starts. And we have companies which already hired our graduates coming back for more of them. Which shows that they are completely satisfied.
As you mentioned, we provide text materials with explanations and code examples + full length video lessons with us writing and running the code explained in the lecture. It allows students to not just read and try the code but also to actually watch how it is done and follow the instructor to fully implement new concepts in practice. And before they will have to create a 'real' app after the course, as you say, students are build fully functioning apps as a part of the course. One of them is a full-stack web app (example built here: https://e-commerce-.herokuapp.com/) and another one is a native mobile app (example built here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id1414985238). Both have the server, the database and the front-end parts. So after graduation they are already know how to combine all the bits and pieces into a working application.
Speaking of the depth for the instructions, jQuery is a long time legacy part of the curriculum, kept there for those students who are willing to learn it for some reason. And it has 5 blocks, not 1. The mongoDB section has all the information needed and the process of building an app with mongoDB is shown in the complete video lesson. Same for the rest of the topics. We actually guide students through the entire process in our video lessons since this is a mentored course.
The comparison of our curriculum to free tutorials is completely incorrect, since courses on self-learning platforms have much lower level of difficulty and do not prepare a student for a real life work. The exercises either too simple or have an option to see the solution, which is not going to happen in real life. We are preparing our students for applying for the jobs, not just learning programming as a recreational habit.
And the refund policy is explained right away on our website, since you get access to all the materials, video lessons, exercises, projects, and there is no way to 'return' it we have to use this policy. It is possible to cancel the participation and get full refund before the starting date of the course, but not after you got all the materials which are actually self sufficient to finish the program.
Once again, really sorry to hear that and hope you will find school which is more suitable for you.
Best regards,
George -
