I definitely had some reservations going into this program. My main concern was the quality of the network of companies that partnered with the program and thankfully, they didn't let me down on that front! Immediately after completing SVA, I was able to land interviews at 6 different companies and got an offer after 2 weeks with a start-up that's got an unbelievable trajectory to success! Trust me, I was absolutely surprised by the quick turnaround. Keep in mind that the job-hunting experience is truly different for each candidate. There are some folks in my cohort that are still on the hunt.
As for the program itself, I can't state this enough: You get what you put in. If you're serious about making a leap into tech, treat this program like you would treat a new job. Put in the effort and take every lesson seriously and you'll start to see the results. You're training for a difficult role and you'll want to hone every one of your skills to totally rock it in that position.

Can’t say enough good things about SV and the wonderful staff there. If you care and put in the work and do everything they ask and truly commit to making it an experience that will help you be a better SDR or CSM you will succeed. Don’t act too cool, be curious, participate, and it will be worth it all. -

I would highly recommend joining SV Academy if you want to break into the SaaS industry. SVA provides 300+ hours of training and hands-on experience needed for an SDR in the SaaS industry. I have just completed the program and I now have a career transitions team that is working with me and helping me get my application to jobs that I am interested in applying to along with company partners that SVA works with, graduated typically get hired in less than a month. I am also matched up with a career coach that will be helping me along with a mentor. Amazingly, the support does not just end once graduated from SVA. SVA is dedicated to getting me an interview and landing a job after the program. -

I enjoyed my experience at SV academy, I was INCREDIBLY skeptical at first because it just sounds too good to be true, but within two weeks after the program I landed a salaried SDR role at an amazing company.
The community is supportive and wants the best for you, which makes it easy to commit to the coursework and be an active member of the SV community.
I suggest it for anyone looking to change careers, who is ready to put the work in. It’s worth it! -

SV Academy has given me the foundation I need to enter the Tech industry ( Coming in from a different field). From my mentor to program manager, everyone is so encouraging and helpful. Trust me when I say, you will have to work your butt off and the program is not easy (PT or FT) but, if you have that ambition/ determination, you will get through it. I am now ready for the job hunt and I will continue to be a part of the SV academy family from here on out! -

My journalism career stagnated so I transitioned into tech sales. I wanted a career with longevity and a clear path to promotion. That’s how I found myself at SV Academy. I loved that the curriculum was organized to focus on the SDR role itself, interview preparation and building one’s Emotional Quotient. I felt supported throughout the program with coaching from my project manager Kristian. He was readily available to answer questions. When we graduate and began the interview process we are set up with a career coach and a mentor. I think the coaching and mentorship was easily my favorite part of the fellowship. The job hunt can be stressful so it was great to have my career transition coach Michele and mentor Madeline to be a sounding board. The wisdom they imparted helped me to show up as my full authentic self and land an exciting role at RollWorks. -

When I came upon this program, I 100% thought it was a scam. I decided to do the first week free of commitment just to see if it really was as sketchy as I thought and could not have been more wrong!
First of all, Emily was brilliant as a pod leader. Super knowledgeable, experienced, and approachable, she really facilitated an atmosphere in which everyone felt comfortable asking questions and putting themselves out there in order to learn. I also really appreciated the access to Rahim! Hearing his real passion for the company's mission was huge in helping me realize that the process and the company were legit. I had the best pod of all time as well -- everyone was incredibly supportive and interested in helping one another succeed.
The biggest reason I feel comfortable recommending the program is that having SVA on my resume REALLY HELPED ME TO GET INTERVIEWS -- and even better, I landed a SIX FIGURE job before the program even ended. I don't have much experience with the Job Assistance side of things because I went out on my own and applied for jobs throughout the program, so I can't really speak on that other than Kehau expertly helping me to prepare for one of my interviews and advising me on my salary negotiations.
But overall I love SVA and have recommended it to several of the people closest to me!! -

I first heard of SV Academy from my husband who had come across an advertisement on IG. After researching SV I was thinking this can't be right?!? I only have to complete an 8-week course and can earn 79K or more. Although I was skeptical after reading several reviews I thought why not, and decided to apply. Once Accepted I was eager to start my courses and network with other like-minded individuals.
Going into SV Academy I had no experience with accelerated course work coming from a traditional 4-year university background. I felt a little overwhelmed during the first 2 weeks but I quickly adapted and found my way. One thing that kept me focused and determined to not only complete the program in 8 weeks but also take advantage of the networking opportunities was having my Program Managers voice in the back of my mind saying " remember your why".
SV Academy changed my life in more ways than one. Going through the program enhanced my mindset when it comes to understanding the importance of a work-life balance. It also was proof that I can accomplish my goals in a short amount of time with hard work and a solid support system. I received nothing but support from start to finish from the program manager, cohorts, mentor, and career coach. After earning my certification as a Sales Development Rep an employer partner was impressed with my resume and an overall job well done at SV Academy and wanted to interview me. I felt more than prepared to interview with them and I am now proud to say that after 3 weeks of completing the program I accepted an awesome offer!
So if you're on the fence about applying for SV Academy my advice is to leap because the reward on the other side is life-changing. -

I can't say enough good things about SV Academy. When I graduated university, it was extremely difficult to find an entry-level job, so I was highly skeptical that a 1-month course could radically change my career prospects. Boy was I wrong!
5 years ago I doubled my income, and it was the most amazing thing to ever happen. SV Academy, in one month, got me a job offer allowing me to repeat the feat and more than double my income again.
Drastic change is always possible, and I am truly grateful to so many individuals that have been instrumental in my success:
Myn- my recruiter. Thank you for following up and not giving up on me. You were convinced the program would benefit me and you were absolutely right.
Emily- my program manager. You're the best and you know it. Every day was started with positivity, kindness, and inclusion. I learned so much and had a blast doing it.
Brandon- my career transition mgr. You set me up with interviews at 4 solid companies without me ever needing to apply. 2 of those companies extended offers, one of which represents the fulfillment of a long-held financial goal.
My favorite thing about SV is the way they have set up the tuition. I paid zero up-front, and will end up paying back the amount over time in interest-free installments from my new position. I love that the school is incentivized in your success. They don't make money unless they can actually get you to earn above a certain amount. I wish traditional universities were similarly accountable for the success of their graduates.
$10k to make $20k+ more per year sounded too good to be true. Believe me when I tell you it is not.
SV, you helped me get a job in 6 weeks that I didn't think I'd get for another 6 years. -

I loved my SV Academy experience! It is a challenging and rewarding program that equips you for success in your future tech-related role. Everything I was taught is EXACTLY what was needed to excel in my current tech sales role. Each staff member at SV is committed to seeing you do well and checking in with you. They also make themselves available for questions and concerns via different methods so you never feel lost/isolated. SV Academy also encourages an atmosphere for collaboration, encouragement and support to be shared amongst students and staff alike. There is always someone to uplift you or chat with when the program seems to get tough or you need advice/feedback. If you have any doubts about SV, throw them away right now. Your future self will thank you. -

I left my job as a Campus Director working for a non-profit looking for something different. Two things I knew, one was that I wanted to be back in sales, and two I wanted to be involved in tech. When SV Academy came up on my timeline it was presented as a low risk opportunity. I took the leap and I am glad I did. After finishing the 30-day bootcamp I was not only able to land a job that speaks to my particular gift set but the company I now work for is absolutely amazing. It is still hard to believe how much my life has changed just by making the decision to join SV Academy. -

An incredible and life changing experience.
What you learn through SV Academy truly prepares you for the fast paced tech industry. It provides you with the knowledge and confidence to not only break into the industry but also thrive. The support that you receive from your fellow students, teachers, and SV Academy faculty is unmatched. The lessons are practical and easily applicable. The support doesn't stop after completion of the Bootcamp. You're also trained and supported through different interview processes and job searches.
I was fortunate to go through 7 different interview processes, receive 3 offers and land my first position in tech within a month of completing the program.
If you believe in yourself and have faith in the process that SV Academy provides, you'll be able to transform your circumstances. -

I have had the greatest experience here at SV Academy. It was hard work but in the end, it was all worth it. I highly recommend anyone going into sales or looking for opportunities in sales to give this school a try. It's hard work, especially the 4-week course but if you stay focused on the goal you have set, and meet the standards that are set for you to succeed you will do fine. -

I did the full-time (1-month) training program. It was a lot put into that month, but every single piece of information was so valuable. Sv Academy truly set me up for success in a fun, safe, and inclusive environment with instructors and leaders in the program that genuinely care about my success and well-being.
I completed the program, and I am now employed in the tech space! Thank you SV Academy!! I am so grateful for the experience! -

Once i decided to take the leap and go all in I later found out that taking this course was one of the best decisions I've ever made from the Program Managers to my classmates everyone was so supportive and helpful and I was able to learn a lot from everyone and gain new friendships and mentorships. At first, I was skeptical of SV Academy because of the many boot camps out there; however, I am glad I decided to attend SV Academy. I took the full-time program, which was four weeks long. Let me tell you, it was not an easy course to complete! You get to learn what it means to be an SDR. You will also have an internship in week three and get real hands-on experience. I would recommend it to anyone who is transitioning careers and has no experience in the tech industry. -

I enjoyed the whole program. From how the coursework is setup to the two workshops every week for part time learners. They help you learn gradually or you can get ahead. The assignments and quizzes were good reviews of the lessons learned. The instructors were hands off, which I liked but were available when necessary. Overall it was a great experience. I highly recommend SV Academy to whoever is looking to get into tech. -

When I enrolled. I was skeptical. Not one negative review to be found. But I took the leap, and I learned quickly why everyone is so positive about this experience...because it is AMAZING and a very positive learning experience overall!!!!!! I learned so much, met so many wonderful people, and really enjoyed and benefitted from coaching and mentorship especially. It is true that only 2% of applicants are accepted, so if you are one of those chosen few, I would certainly say jump on it and see where this journey can take you! Proud alum of SDR58. I was looking to start a new career after leaving my last one. I saw an ad for SV Academy on Facebook and thought it sounded too good to be true. I did a little research before applying and it seemed to be like a legitimate opportunity. I figured "why the heck not" and applied. I knew the acceptance rate was very low and wasn't sure if I would get in or not. When they contacted me, I was excited to try out the first week without any risk. The program is fairly rigorous so don't apply if you aren't ready to work around the clock for a few weeks. But if you put in the work, the fellowship will support you every step of the way. I can't even find the right words to express how much support you get from the people involved with this program. You will learn highly valuable job skills and be ready to knock an interviewer's socks off before you even finish the program. Today is my last day and I already have multiple interviews with some amazing tech companies. The best part is, I KNOW I'm going to get job offer from at least one of them, and EVEN BETTER is the fact that I know I'm going to be ready to rock and roll on Day 1. SV Academy will change your life if you're willing to put in the work. -

You get what you put in! Very intense program and wouldn't blame you if you felt overwhelmed, but it is truly worth it. The first week is the most intense and I saw a lot of drop-off from our cohort size. However, if you stuck with it, it will be rewarding. I had a great instructor and pod mates, we were all super supportive. SVX Internship week is too short and the job portal could use some work, but the market demand for SDRs is booming so keep applying and you'll land something. -

Serious about a career change? Need community and structure to get you there fast? SV Academy exceeded my expectations. They are the real deal. I had no idea what to expect coming into this program. I have zero background in tech and wasn't sure the tech world was even somewhere I belonged. This program taught me everything I needed in order to build a lasting career. They take a holistic approach so that not only do you understand the specifics of the role, but how you as the individual can be the best version of yourself. This is a community you won't find anywhere else, this team wants you to succeed. I have never found such a beautiful community committed to its members. If you have any interest at all just go for it! You won't regret it. -

I know what you’re thinking. Is this a SCAM??? I thought so too, believe me.
Just to clarify, this is NOT A SCAM!!!
I was so apprehensive about joining the program even after being in the 2% of applicants that actually got accepted. That statistic alone should shed light on the course’s legitimacy.
Also, this is my testimony. If you want to break into tech go to SV Academy.
CAUTION: they say this course is 40 hours a week. I will be honest. This course is more like 60-70 hours of rigorous coursework per week (and weekends if you aren’t time managed). Work that will make even the best of us break down and cry, crumble, pick ourselves back up and crumble again. You are transforming yourself, remember that. It’s all part of the process. But it will be worth the investment in yourself if you make it to completion. Nothing will feel more rewarding.
PRO TIP: You get out what you put in. TRUST ME. And if you put the work in, you will make it to completion.
WARNING: Don’t try to carry a job while doing this course. You will fail. Don’t try to fit this course around your schedule. You will fail. Don’t push everything to the last minute because you will get extremely overwhelmed. And you will fail.
Also, if you are still skeptical like I was, just take the course and give it everything you got for the first week. It’s FREE!!!
You do not sign your deferred tuition agreement for the $10k until the beginning of week 2.
Week 1 is meant to be the hardest part of the course. They are weeding you out to see who really wants this. And you will see at the beginning of week 2, if you make it that far, that half your group is missing. They chickened out. And didn’t believe in themselves.
BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.
If you can make it past week 1 and decide you want to continue and put the work in, you WILL succeed.
SV Academy will consume you so be ready to give up your life for this for the next foreseeable 4-weeks. Also, don’t take the part-time course. You are delaying your future by a month and might get burnt out in the process. It also takes a month on average to land a job so don’t put yourself off from doing the full-time option.
Quit your job and buckle down. You will thank me later.
Hope this review helps at least one person who was in my shoes a month ago. PROS: The network you will create. Keep your cohort mates close. These will be your friends and colleagues for the rest of your career. It’s a great support system to start with especially if you have no idea how to navigate this industry on your own. Also, if you are on the East Coast, you will have an additional 3 hours to submit your assignments because SV works on PST. That also means class starts at 12 noon, so you can still sleep in a bit.
CONS: 40 hours of course per week is inaccurate. This is 60-70 hours of rigorous coursework per week easy. Get a comfy chair because you will be sitting it in all day/night for a month. And maybe even longer if you land a remote role! -

So grateful to have successfully completed over 300 hours of rigorous tech sales training at SV Academy, where I became proficient in utilizing exciting software, such as SalesForce, SalesLoft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, exceeding quotas, and so much more. Put in the work, you will reap the rewards, and SV Academy will stand by its word on providing a community of support.
It’s perfectly reasonable to want to know more about what you’re getting into, so I recommend applying and speaking to one of the admissions team (they’re so friendly!) or reading about the details for yourself.
Pros Kick-starting your career in the tech space! I gained cold-outreach skills, learned how to finesse my resume, interview coaching, and an awesome team of colleagues. I made it happen but it was easier and more effective in good company alongside people I could trust.
Cons This isn’t a program that most people can complete while holding down a full-time job. It’s 300 hours long and highly competitive. As you might expect, that means it will require your full attention. I’ve seen some wild claims out here in the reviews about the financing side! Frankly, it’s been nagging me and I want to clear up some of the confusion. Some people seem quite confused about how the deferred tuition agreement works. The truth is that while the tuition is $10K, there aren’t any fees other than the $100 deposit (which you get back after completing the program) and there is no interest and you don’t pay unless you land the job. This means that *their success is tied to yours.* In many cases, if you land a job with one of SV Academy’s employer partners then you may be offered a scholarship that can cover up to half the cost of your tuition. I landed my first Tech Sales role with InsideView and was able to cut my loan down by (100%).
SV Academy is here with your back every step of the way. They have a great network of people who will always help lift you up when needed + provide support when things get tough. What does support look like? In my case, it meant mentorship, in-program tech sales training, learning how to operate a sales tech stack, emotional intelligence coaching, a reliable and willing peer network, and a whole lot more.
I know it can be a little scary at first—I should know, it took me a leap of faith! I had no previous experience in tech sales! But take a deep breath, do your research and decide if you have what it takes to commit to the program. If you can't commit to the program uninterrupted, perhaps consider applying at a time when you can guarantee the time investment. -

SV Academy was a game-changer for me and (if you want it to be) it can be one for you too. You might not have any previous experience in tech but that's not an issue here. SV Academy was clear from day 1 that if you had 0 experience you’d be ready to get hired, and I know of many folks who have had sales experience (but not Tech Sales experience) who got promoted in less than a year thanks to the training they gained via SV Academy. In my cohort, one person said that regardless of whether we graduated on level ground ... we were all a level UP. The community really lifted me up when I first started out and is still a part of my network of friends and colleagues today!
I’ve seen some frankly toxic reviews here that just don’t add up in light of the facts, so as someone who’s completed the program and achieved success in their role as a Sales Development Representative for 6 months I feel compelled to set the record straight: SV Academy has gone above and beyond to ensure accessibility. Yes, there is a credit check, but the tuition is fixed at $10K and SV Academy will front the money on behalf of the student with *no fees and no interest.* The rest is paid over the course of your new job if, and *only* if, you land it. If you don’t get a job then you don’t pay and SV takes the hit, ensuring that they are driven to ensure *your* success.
If you have further questions about the legitimacy of the program, it’s training or the AMAZING community it provides, I strongly suggest you warm up those tech sales muscles and reach out to graduates on LinkedIn. Many of them will be excited to share their experience with you and you’ll get a taste of some sales rep exercise reaching out and getting in touch.
For my own part, I landed a job with Lyra Health and have driven sales growth since I began there in April, and I couldn’t be happier. I went viral on LinkedIn for creating a prospecting video (A skill taught in SV's curriculum) which brought a lot of interest to the company and made me a go to person for video prospecting at my job since it's so new to the industry. I won’t say I couldn’t have done it without SV Academy, but I can say this: it would’ve been much much harder, so I’m VERY glad I did. :) -

Overall, this course is very difficult but also very rewarding. If you're really looking to turn your life around and break into tech then this is the school for you. However, that first week they are going to really assess how much you want it. If you don't want it bad enough you won't make the cut and get all your assignments done. However, one of the best parts is the awesome community and the wonderful people you meet there. I've been in tons of college groups that are rather lackluster and devoid of enthusiasm but at SV everyone wants to be there and succeed just as much as you do!
