Great Full-Stack Curriculum
I recently completed the software engineering career track, and it was a very pleasant experience. My mentor was very knowledgable in the field and answered any technical questions that I may have. The career coaches were supported and gave helpful tips into the job search. Parts of the curriculum was out-of-date but it was still very insightful knowledge for software development -

Springboard was excellent to work with. I was excited to start software development and I was immersed in it from day one. Not only that but you get to meet weekly with mentors that are working in the industry. I love the boot camp skills based approach to learning. It works better than college for those of us with kids and jobs. Check with your state jobs office. Many boot camps are offered through grants! I highly suggest springboard! You will be living in Vscode for 9 months but you will gain so many skills! -

After A Year of not landing a job, I can confidently say that this was not worth it. The school is great the people are great but there is no guarantee for landing a job. In fact, I found it almost impossible to even get an interview. I did get a few but didn't land anything.
Forget about linked int. No one in tech wants to let you into the tech field. Half of the people I reached out to were either looking for a job themselves or hostile to letting "competitors" in.
Most of the jobs require security clearances which no one will sponsor you for even if you have a flawless record and have never sipped an ounce of alcohol your entire life.
The school doesn't have connections who are looking for graduates. You pretty much have to have a master's degree and 5+ years in tech to even get considered.
If have already been in the field for years or have a related degree, it may be useful. For anyone else, save your money. -

Good overall, but be on top of things

I was switching from Graphic Design and Teaching to UX/UI and while I didn’t need another degree, I did need to learn UX/UI from industry professionals and get some portfolio work. I chose Springboard because it had a thorough curriculum, opportunities for networking and real-world projects. They also partner you with a mentor (which you can change if there’s not good chemistry there) you meet weekly during the course. There’s also chances to do ‘on-demand’ calls with career coaches and other mentors. Their curriculum had a lot of good material overall to help you prepare without the fluff you might find in a traditional degree. If you have a design background, it helps a lot. If you don’t, really make sure you have the time in the beginning to learn. They do provide small exercises with most units to help you apply what you learn, but finding opportunities outside of it to practice will help too. Be on top of your own learning—you’ll see why in the cons list:
Some PROS:
- Self-paced
- Had a real-world project opportunity
- Support was quick and helpful most of the time.
- Regular mentorship and career coaching from people all over the world.
some CONS:
- Backend issues with their site at times. More than once my dashboard info (completion date or progress tracking) was not accurate and I had to reach out to fix it. Be on top of knowing what breaks or free extensions you take as well. I started screenshotting everything so if they messed up, I could refer back to those.
- Billing. Had a few times where I was charged twice in one month. Always check to make sure there is no double charging. They got it taken care of right away, but after the second time, I wasn’t leaving anything to chance.
- Not all mentors are the same; my first one was not very engaging in giving feedback so I ended up switching. If you are not clicking with your mentor, don’t be afraid to switch. After all, you’re paying for it and devoting time each week to get valuable feedback and mentorship. -

Great UX/UI track
I really liked studying at Springboard at UX/UI track. The program was very rich and professional, with lots of extra materials to dive into. My mentor was excellent and I am very grateful for her ongoing full support and recommendations. Only timing was very challenging for me, so I reco to have some extra time:) -

Incredible Journey
Springboard's Software Engineering Career Track was fantastic. The classes were very high quality, Colt is a wonderful teacher, and my mentor, career coach, and TA's make you feel supported every step of the way. I am incredibly happy that this is the bootcamp that I found and chose, and I feel knowledgeable and equipped to tackle different technologies in the professional world. -

I recently completed the UI/UX Design Career Track at Springboard, and I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience. The curriculum was comprehensive, covering essential topics and providing opportunities to dive deeper into specific interests. Seriously, I have a whole library of books I’ve ordered that I can’t wait to read thanks to recommendations in the curriculum!
Springboard’s mentorship program was really what stood out to me when I was looking into bootcamps, and it didn’t let me down. My mentors, Aida and Tatiana, were incredibly supportive and provided me with practical advice that helped me refine my skills and approach to design. Their friendly and empathetic approach made our interactions both enjoyable and productive, and I’m immensely grateful for their guidance.
Springboard’s support staff also played a crucial role in my success. They were exceptionally understanding and accommodating, especially when my twins were born prematurely during my course and had to remain in the NICU for some time. Springboard offered me multiple course extensions, allowing me to focus on my family without worrying about the additional costs of completing my certification. Their empathy and flexibility were invaluable, making a significant impact on my ability to succeed in the program.
As a result of the program and the Industry Design Project, I feel confident that I was able to build a robust portfolio and am hopeful it will help me find my dream job as a product designer. I really can’t recommend the Springboard UI/UX Design Career Track enough to anyone looking to transition into a design role. -

From the very beginning, the enrollment process was smooth and straightforward. The user-friendly platform made it easy to navigate through courses, assignments, and additional resources. The course material was well-organized and up-to-date, reflecting the latest trends and knowledge in the field. One of the highlights of my experience was the instructors. They were knowledgeable, approachable, and always willing to provide assistance and feedback. The interactive nature of the classes, including discussion forums and live sessions, created a sense of community and allowed for meaningful interactions with both instructors and fellow students. -

Pros:
Great mentors and career advisors. Good support on slack. Other students were great to work with. Good scholarships and price guarantee.
Cons:
Classes are taught with articles and videos from various sites so it can feel disjointed. Thought there would be video courses with a consistent teacher. Email correspondence can be slow. Student advisor was changed twice without letting me know. Sometimes got conflicting recommendations between mentors and graders. Curriculum feels outdated without any mention of AI or the current job market.

My Springboard UX Design Track Experience

If you are considering taking the Springboard UX Design Track boot camp, you will not be disappointed. I did a lot of research on boot camps through articles and reviews, and I talked to alums and current students before I decided to go with Springboard. The main thing that I wanted to get from the boot camp was a portfolio that I could apply to jobs with. The other incentive that stood out was the Industry design project, where they paired you with a real-world company to work on a project for four weeks. This is the real-world experience that companies look for when hiring.
The course was very intense for me because I had to juggle a full-time job, family, and a volunteer role during the curriculum. Thankfully, Springboard has tools to keep you on track in order to graduate. The hardest part for me was learning the research methods, which included a lot of reading and writing. The design part for me was not that difficult because of my background in graphic design. The only con is that some of the units had information and videos that were four years old or older. Although the basic UX principles are still applied, it would be great to have more up-to-date information. One of the pros is that you have a mentor you meet with weekly to ask questions and review assignments. Also, the UX Design track was affordable compared to other boot camps.
In conclusion, the Springboard UX Design Track boot camp is challenging and requires a time commitment. It's best suited for individuals who are truly dedicated to becoming UX Designers, enjoy tackling challenges, and thrive in problem-solving environments. -

Invaluable for transitioning to a data science career

I recently completed the Springboard Data Science Career Track, and overall, I am very satisfied with the experience. The curriculum is comprehensive and well-structured, covering essential topics such as Python, statistics, machine learning, and data visualization. The inclusion of real-world projects was particularly beneficial, as it allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios, which is crucial for building a strong portfolio.
The one-on-one mentorship is a highlight of the Springboard experience. My mentor was not only experienced but supportive. Regular weekly check-ins provided personalized guidance, constructive feedback, and accountability.
Springboard’s career coaching is another standout feature. The career services team provides extensive support, including resume reviews, LinkedIn optimization, and personalized job search strategies. The one-on-one career coaching sessions were particularly helpful, offering tailored advice on how to navigate the job market and prepare for interviews.
The community aspect is strong, with active Slack channels. Whenever I encountered issues, the support team was responsive and helpful. However, sometimes the response times were longer than expected, which could be frustrating when working on time-sensitive projects. The program’s flexible schedule is a major plus for those who are working or have other commitments. Being able to learn at my own pace was crucial for me. However, this self-paced nature requires a high degree of self-discipline to stay on track.
Springboard is an investment, but considering the quality of education, mentorship, and career support, I found it to be worth the price. There are also financing options available, which can make the cost more manageable. Overall, Springboard’s Data Science Career Track provides a well-rounded education with solid support systems in place. The hands-on projects, personalized mentorship, and dedicated career coaching make it a great choice for those serious about pivoting into a data science career. While there are areas for improvement, particularly in response times and mentorship consistency, the strengths of the program far outweigh the negatives. I highly recommend this program to anyone looking to break into the field of data science. -

I recently completed the UI/UX design bootcamp with Springboard, and overall, it was a rewarding experience. Despite my background in design, I found the curriculum well-curated for both beginners and experienced individuals. The curriculum was comprehensive, covering everything from the fundamentals of design principles to the latest industry tools and trends. The online platform was user-friendly and well-organized, making it easy to access course materials and communicate with instructors and peers.
The hands-on projects were particularly enlightening, allowing me to apply new skills effectively. I especially enjoyed the Industrial Design Project with Springboard peer members; it boosted my confidence and helped me discover areas for improvement.
However, There were a few areas where I felt the program could improve. The pacing of some lessons felt rushed, taking more time than expected for me to fully grasp the concepts.
Overall, I highly recommend Springboard's UI/UX design bootcamp for anyone looking to break into the field or advance their skills. With a solid curriculum, hands-on projects, and supportive mentors, it provides a strong foundation for a career in UI/UX design. -

I recently completed the Springboard Cyber Security Career Track bootcamp, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. The curriculum was incredibly thorough, covering all the essential aspects of cybersecurity, and the hands-on exercises were invaluable in helping me truly understand the material. One of the standout features of the bootcamp is the support system. Whenever I faced challenges, the Slack channels were a lifesaver. Students and Peer Mentors were always ready to help with any questions or issues. Additionally, having an assigned mentor for regular meetings provided personalized guidance and support throughout the program. The structure and pacing of the program were also well-designed. It's self-paced, allowing flexibility, but you need to complete it within six months unless you opt to pay for additional months. This setup kept me motivated and on track without feeling overwhelmed. Coming into the bootcamp with no prior cybersecurity background, I was amazed at how much I learned and how my skills improved. The Capstone Project, where we conducted a simulated penetration test of a fictional company, was a highlight. It provided a comprehensive learning experience, from executing the pen test to writing an executive summary as well as a detailed technical report. I would highly recommend the Springboard Cyber Security bootcamp to anyone looking to switch gears and enter the cybersecurity field. Whether you need to brush up on your skills or start from scratch, and especially if you don't have time for a four-year bachelor's degree, this bootcamp is the next best thing. Ken Bliss -

The course structure is great and there is a lot of resources to get you help when you need it like the mentor that is assigned to you and the student slack community. There is a steady increase as you go through the course with regular assignments and assessments which is nice because it does point out how much you have actually learned and what you need to improve on. My only complaint is with the On-Demand mentors, I had more than once where they either didn’t show up or showed up really late. -

I was looking for more UX courses after graduating from undergrad as I realized my current knowledge of the UX industry was lacking. I came across Springboard and was sold by the one-on-one mentorship and the portfolio building projects. The program did not disappoint as the program provides in-depth lessons on key UX topics and I was able to get client experience to boost my portfolio through the IDP Project at the end of the course. Would highly recommend! -

I had minimum analytical experience before starting this course, other than a Finance degree, knowledge of statistics, and above average Excel skills. I began this course to prepare me for a career in Data Analytics and I can confidently say that after seven months I feel very prepared to succeed in this field. I learn by doing, and that is how the majority of the Springboard curriculum is set up. When learning new skills, they provide guided real world practice, simulations, and guidance to complete projects on your own. The mentor aspect was huge for me - having someone help you along the way on a bi-weekly basis who knows you personally and wants to see you succeed. I enjoyed the career readiness aspect but I feel some of the Technical Interview aspects could have been implemented sooner in the program. All in all, I am very satisfied to have completed this course and am excited to put all the skills Springboard has taught me to use in the real world. -

Having recently completed Springboard's UI/UX Design program, I can confidently say it was an enriching experience overall. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the people I had the opportunity to connect with, especially my mentor, who demonstrated genuine care and expertise throughout the journey. Their guidance was invaluable, and I feel fortunate to have been matched with such a supportive individual.
The curriculum provided a solid foundation in UI/UX design principles, equipping me with the necessary skills to tackle real-world challenges. However, one area for improvement could be the currency of the content. While the program covered essential concepts, incorporating more up-to-date technological advancements would have enhanced its relevance in today's rapidly evolving landscape.
Despite this, I emerged from the program with a deeper understanding of UI/UX design and a newfound confidence in my abilities. I would highly recommend Springboard's UI/UX Design program to anyone looking to embark on a career in this field. -

I just completed Springboard's Cyber Security Career Track program and am very happy with the results. The program offers one-on-one bi-weekly and on-demand mentorship with industry professionals, monthly and on-demand career coaching, as well as comprehensive training in the basics of Cyber Security. The coursework prepared me well for the CompTIA Security+ exam, which I was able to pass on my first try without ANY professional IT experience! Additionally, the cost of the program is reasonable, includes the cost of the CompTIA exam certification, and offers a Job Guarantee. I would highly recommend Springboard to anyone looking to make a career change or develop a new skill. -

Springboard is a largely self-paced bootcamp, though there are still milestones that need to be met by the student. I would say for me the biggest pro of Springboard is that they offer their students more career support than any other program out there, which is massive! The con of Springboard is that there are no live lectures, so if that's the environment in which you learn, then the nature of this program can be difficult for you. -

I completed Springboard's Cyber Security Career Track course in April 2024 and am very happy that I decided to go with Springboard. I am a former coach/teacher with zero IT/Tech experience, minus building and maintaining my PC during COVID and teaching the older coaches how to use a laptop, lol. I had researched and talked to multiple boot camps offering a cybersecurity track but needed a course that would allow me to work at my own pace and not be confined to pre-determined meeting times. After much deliberation, I decided to go with Springboard and am very pleased with my experience. The enrollment process was very easy, they offered a deferred tuition plan and also had a job guarantee program. I ultimately choose Springboard because of the deferred payment option and also the job guarantee.
The units were very informative and a good mixture of reading, videos, writing projects, and interactive labs that allowed you to deepen your knowledge regardless of your prior knowledge/experience. Each unit also concluded with a short quiz to test your knowledge and allowed you the opportunity to go back and relearn any material. The writing projects often comprised of researching a particular vulnerability, breach, and/or company and answering questions about the particular unit. The hands-on labs were my favorite part of the course as they allowed you to put learning into practice with detailed steps. I do wish the labs were more detailed in terms of explaining exactly why you were taking a particular step, but post-completion labs have allowed me to fill in those missing pieces. I also liked the personal mentor they provided and my mentor was extremely helpful throughout my two+ months within the course.
As far as aspects of the course I disliked; I do wish the career coaching calls were more personalized. The Effective Networking call was extremely informative and I did get a lot of great information from that particular call, but I felt the Career Kick-Off, Career Planning, and Career Branding calls could have been better. The Resume and LinkedIn call was also a little disheartening as the coach had not researched or looked into my information before the call. I felt like the resume building was just copying and pasting my name onto a cookie-cutter resume that had been used multiple times. I didn't feel like that call was designed to tailor my resume specifically to me, but that it was designed to simply pass for a grade. We also did not even talk about my LinkedIn and I was rushed off the call as the coach had another student's call after mine (she also used my time to respond to that student). I also felt that I was not being commended for the pace in which I was completing the course. They (Springboard) do state that they recommend taking six months to complete the entire course and I finished in two. I felt that my mentor was the only person on my side and that when I got on a coaching call it was as if I was making a mistake with how fast I was progressing. Lastly, I also never heard from my student advisor. I'm not sure if that was intended or their role exactly, but I know I never heard from him throughout the two+ months.
I was very satisfied with the mock interviews and the coaches that conducted them. All three gentlemen were professional, asked tough questions, and provided amazing feedback for me to use. Applying for completion was also very easy. I am happy with my current career coach post-completion and look forward to her mentorship during my job search. I would highly recommend Springboard for those self-motivated and determined individuals. Thank you, Springboard! -

My experience at Springboard was exceedingly positive, characterized by an exceptionally robust curriculum that adeptly prepared me for real-world challenges. Throughout the program, I found myself enriched by a plethora of supportive resources and systems that significantly bolstered my learning journey. The curriculum was not only informative but also presented with clarity and abundant examples, facilitating comprehensive understanding. The structured learning process seamlessly guided me through each step, complemented by the invaluable guidance of my mentor, who consistently provided substantial support. The availability of on-demand mentors proved instrumental in elucidating complex concepts and resolving technical hurdles. Overall, my engagement with the course was deeply rewarding. I joined a bootcamp to speed up my networking while in a medium-sized city. I really enjoyed learning while being in touch with great coaches and mentors. The overall experience at Springboard Data Science Career Track is good, especially the curriculum content and the 1:1 mentor directions. The curriculum content difficulty ranges from easy to difficult and it is very good for practice and sharpen your skills, even for me who have already learned python and data science by myself for almost two years. About my mentor, for my questions, he always ask me to try my own ideas and see the result, not just tell me to do this or not do that blablabla. My mentor likes to ask me questions to deepen my understanding and then explain, which is helpful for my learning. The most important drawbacks of the camp is its career support, it doesnot provide any internship with the partner or any internal referal, especially for me who want to change the career focus. -

Working with Springboard was a very rewarding experience. Throughout my time in the program, I really got a grasp of modern software engineering techniques and all sorts of commonly used programs and languages. The hands-on approach they take to teaching made it super immersive and relatable. I also want to note how beneficial the weekly 1:1 mentor calls were towards my understanding and success.
What I loved most was how the program gave me the freedom to take control of my learning journey. Sure, I could have just cruised through the curriculum, but diving deeper and pushing myself to go beyond the assignments gives you a great understanding to go off and make your own projects in your free time. It's amazing how much you can grow when you're given the space to explore and create on your own. Plus, it's all about building that killer portfolio, right? So, yeah, Springboard definitely helped me level up in more ways than one. -

Waste of money

The bootcamp doesn't offer anything that is unique or special. You can learn everything that is taught in the course by spending less than $100 purchasing a full stack web development course from Udemy. In fact, the tutorial videos used in their course is available on Udemy.
The mentorship they offer is a joke. My mentor did not know anything about web development. Every time I asked him a question, he directed me to some web page instead of him explaining the topic or discussing the issue. After some time, I realized that asking him specific question about web development was a waste of time. The job guarantee they offer is scheme used to entice folks to purchase the course. The company can and will change the job guarantee period as the job market changes. Right after I completed the course, they changed the job guarantee period from 6 months to 9 months.
I think there was a time where having gone to bootcamp helped you get a job but it has become very difficult for current graduates to land a job. So why should anyone spend $10K on a course that will not help them land a job as a developer or help them increase their salary. Also, there are many other alternatives to bootcamp when it comes to learning web development that is cheaper and allows you to learn the same concepts.
My advise is to not waste your money at Springboard or any other bootcamp.Roger H of Springboard

Hi Artin, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. We understand there are many free resources available for learning web development. Springboard's approach includes selectively curating the most effective materials across various platforms to ensure our students can learn the most relevant concepts efficiently and thoroughly. By organizing these resources and pairing them with structured support, we aim to optimize your learning journey and save you the time you might spend searching for and vetting swaths of materials on your own that might not be useful to landing a web development role.We are disheartened to hear about your experience with your mentor. Our mentorship program is designed to provide direct, expert support, and it sounds like we missed the mark in your case. In addition to scheduled mentor sessions, we encourage our students to utilize our on-demand mentorship, TA sessions, and career coaching as needed. The job guarantee program is intended to alleviate some of the stress associated with finding a job in a competitive market. While it's true that market conditions can necessitate adjustments to the job guarantee period, these changes are made with the intent of giving our graduates enough time to find the right opportunity. Regardless of the job guarantee, our commitment remains strong to assist all of our students in landing meaningful entry-level positions in their field of study. We would love to hear more about your experience and discuss how we can improve. Your satisfaction and success as a Springboard student are very important to us. Springboard UI/UX Bootcamp Review: Insights and Challenges

My experience at Springboard's UI/UX bootcamp was a whirlwind adventure that spanned a year. The curriculum packed in a ton of useful information, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to access it even after completing the program. However, navigating through mentorship was a bit of a challenge. I initially struggled with a mentor who wasn't the best fit but was able to switch to a much more supportive one after speaking up to my career advisor. One downside was the absence of AI for UX, which I was hoping to learn about, and the reliance on third-party resources like Medium for curriculum content felt a bit underwhelming. Nevertheless, the highlight of the bootcamp was undoubtedly the industry project, where I got to collaborate with a real company, gaining invaluable hands-on experience. Despite its flaws, Springboard provided me with a solid foundation to kickstart my career in UI/UX design. -

The Pros:
- great mentorship with experienced professionals who really know the industry
- industry design project (IDP) working for an actual company doing UX research and design
- online interface is easy to use and track your progress
- staff at Springboard are attentive
- career coaches are awesome, I'm just starting to meet with one as a recent graduate and am loving it
The Cons:
- most resources on the curriculum are free articles, links, and videos from other websites
- besides the IDP, all projects are fictitious
- working on the curriculum can be isolating as only the IDP is collaborative with other students
- I've heard the job guarantee can be voided by Springboard at any time at their discretion
Note: this review comes as a recent graduate who is just starting career coaching. I've yet to find a job.

I am a Java Developer who has taken a 5-year break in my career for personal reasons. To upskill my software knowledge, I decided to pursue a BootCamp and my friend recommended SpringBoard. The SpringBoard curriculum helped me to learn new technologies, and the projects provided valuable coding knowledge. My mentor was incredibly supportive and provided excellent guidance. The career services, including resume reviews and mock interviews, were very helpful in preparing for job interviews, and as a result, I was able to land a job. I highly recommend SpringBoard to anyone who wants to upskill their software knowledge. -

I chose to go with Springboard after some research and all of the good reviews. I am very happy that I chose Springboard. UX Design is a hard field right now to get into and I didn't know that at the time that I signed up. However, I feel that Springboard has given and will continue to give me all the help they can for me to get a job. I just got my certificate and am starting the job search but I have been impressed with the amount of resources and hints that have been given to me already and I haven't even met with my job search coach yet. The job guarantee is everything right now in this field and you can beat that either. The course was good, though mostly reading various articles and watching videos and then trying to do stuff myself. I also picked Springboard because of their externship at the end of the course, which was a great experience for me, and I think will help set me apart from other junior candidates.
