After years of working in a different field, I chose to transition into data analytics and enrolled in Springboard’s Data Analyst Career Track to gain industry-relevant skills and project experience. The program offered a structured learning path in Python, SQL, statistics, and data visualization with Tableau, while also focusing on real-world capstone projects that helped me apply what I learned.Pros:- Mentorship: Weekly 1:1 calls with an experienced industry mentor kept me on track and helped me apply concepts to real-life use cases.
- Project-Based Learning: Hands-on capstone and mini-projects gave me the confidence to showcase my skills and build a portfolio.
- Career Support: Resume reviews, mock interviews, and job search guidance were valuable as I prepared to transition into a new career.
- Flexibility: Self-paced learning allowed me to study while managing other responsibilities.
- Self-Discipline Required: You need strong time management skills to stay on schedule without daily deadlines.
- Limited Peer Interaction: Unlike a classroom setting, there's less opportunity to engage in live collaboration with peers.

I learned a lot from this program about full stack development. There are even technical interviews that you get to experience at the end to see how well you would do in a live interview. I feel that the course has prepared me to get an entry level job in the software engineering field. I think the mentorship program could be done a little better, because sometimes the mentor will not always know how to answer your questions. You can change mentors if you need to though. Overall, the curriculum was thorough and easy to understand as well as enjoyable to work through. -

TL;DR: Curriculum is basic YouTube videos, I’m a college graduate who didn’t get a job after a year, they will try everything they can to prevent you from getting the refund, the refund occurs in 12 monthly installments over a year period.
I enrolled in Springboard's software engineering bootcamp in 2023 and completed in 2024. They sell you on a "job guarantee" in which you will get your money back if you don't find a job in 6 months. The curriculum itself consists of basic and often outdated YouTube videos.
Their “mentorship” was definitely lackluster. It’s what you make of it, but your mentor is not going to get you a job at their company and is probably just trying to make some cash on the side and would probably rather be somewhere else.
To be eligible for their job guarantee (and the refund if you don't find a job), I had to apply to a certain number of jobs per week and make a certain number of connections. Per the contract, they extended the 6 month job search period to one year, which I was fine with.
After one year of applying, I did not get any jobs and had less than a handful of interviews. Springboard slow-walked approving my refund for several weeks, encouraging me several times to extend the job search period (why would I do that?), and then the kicker: approved the refund but said it would be paid out in 12 monthly installments over the next year. Yup—after applying to jobs for a year, they told me I’d have to wait another one before I could receive the refund. Some job guarantee! After complaining, they offered me to fill out a financial hardship form that they review “once a month” and can’t promise I’ll receive anything faster.
Overall: there’s much better bang for your buck out there. I don’t know a single person from Springboard who has gotten a job. Try some other bootcamp… or go to nursing school. -

Starting with a small amount of coding knowledge, this course did wonders and helped me learn so much. I will say that I much enjoyed the backend technologies that this bootcamp taught rather than the frontend technologies. There's a lot of information being taught and it can be a bit overwhelming, especially if you are trying to speed run the assignments. Also, I do recommend knowing a bit about javascript, html, and css. The reason being that this course hits the ground running hard and fast, and it can get easy to be left behind if you plan on completing everything early or on time.
Things I liked about the course were the topics covered, mentors, career coaches, and support staff. Topics covered are relevant to today for the most part. For mentors there are a handful you can choose from and they will help you with any question you have. My mentor was fantastic and went above and beyond what I expected of him. The career coaches are super helpful when it comes to jobs and what people look for. The support staff is also great and will answer any questions or concerns you have fairly quickly.
Things I disliked about the course were the outdated code, dependencies, and price. Sometimes the starter code and dependencies were outdated but for the most part it was fine. As for the price it is on the higher side compared to other bootcamps.
Overall, I would absolutely take this course again! Even if it is a little pricey, I think it's absolutely worth it given everything the course offers. -

The coursework in the Data Science Career Track was thoughtfully designed to build both foundational knowledge and practical skills. The emphasis on real-world tools like Python, pandas, scikit-learn, and SQL made every project feel industry-aligned.What truly made the experience exceptional was the 1:1 mentorship. Weekly sessions with my mentor provided personalized feedback, kept me on track, and helped me approach each project with a data scientist's mindset. The ability to ask questions, discuss model trade-offs, and receive career guidance added a human touch that online learning often lacks.This program doesn’t just teach you how to code — it teaches you how to think like a data scientist. Highly recommended for anyone looking to break into the field with confidence and support.
I haven't yet used the Career Coaching but expecting to be good with my previous experience with Springboard -

- The labs, projects, and papers are as close as you can get to the real-world experience.
- Pivoting into cybersecurity from a different occupation, and juggling a part-time job and family, I wasn't prepared for the intensity of the course. Six months is just not long enough to fully absorb the contents for someone new to the field.

The mentors and career staff in particular helped a lot, and I am proud of the projects I made. I think it is a great program that teaches topics in a good, digestible manner. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get started in the Software Engineering field. -

The course was challenging but Springboard offers a ton of support to keep you engaged. Each piece of video content was short and to the point which helped give a feeling of quick progression. In addition the account tools helped ensure that I completed everything on time. The feedback and support from mentors and career coaches was extremely helpful. The only negative I have with the course is that the video content can struggle to keep up with the ever changing technology so getting through some of content was a little confusing. But again there are plenty of resources to help get you through it. I feel confident that I have the skill and knowledge to land a job even in this tough market! -

This program is tough, but I had a great experience with the software engineering course. The curriculum covers a wide range of material, and we learn two main programming languages: JavaScript and Python. There’s plenty of hands-on practice, and the two Capstone projects (of your choice) are a fantastic opportunity to showcase your skills. Additionally, we have a personal mentor, along with weekly on-demand mentor sessions. I also appreciated the career assistance provided during the course and for six months after completion.That said, there are some areas for improvement, such as better alignment between some assignments and their difficulty level, as well as adjusting the timing and structure of some projects. -

This program is self-driven, and really only for the dedicated student who is motivated to accomplish things on their own. While I received assistance and input from my mentor, there was really very little other guidance through the program. The resources utilized for the curriculum are reasonable... but some were less than exemplary. Some of the reference materials are from providers in the industry and so offer information primarily about the products that they offer rather than an overall experience. I feel that the time spent moving through the curriculum was a great deal higher than the estimates and averages offered by the program. Reading the articles and watching the videos, while taking notes on the information, was much more time consuming than expected.
I feel like I learned a lot... about cybersecurity and about myself through this course. -

I just graduated Springboard Jan 2025!! This was an amazing Bootcamp and I learned so much. As a UX/UI Design student, there was a lot to learn. Springboard facilitated us with our own mentor which made a huge difference. Guidance was so important. They kept us on a schedule so we could stay the course and when we needed help there was quick response time from the advisors. I did need more time as a part time student due to life, but they helped me with that as well. Overall I was happy with my choice of an online bootcamp. -

When getting paired with a mentor, it's really the luck of the draw. Some are amazing, whereas others not so much. For example, my first mentor gave me 0 support during the first month and ghosted me, which set me back a lot. I ended up requesting to be rematched. My second mentor was very knowledgable and helpful. However, for the first half of the course I only got to meet with him every 2 weeks, which left me blocked without feedback for long periods of time. The curriculum is mostly a curation of online articles and youtube videos - practically no original content. There are some really helpful resources in there, but you reap what you sow. I'd advise you to dive deep into the curriculum and make use of the resources (mentor calls, on-demand mentor calls, pauses, the slack community, student advisors, etc). During the majority of the course, the student advising team members were super helpful, but towards the end I dealt with quite an unprofessional one. The top 3 things about this program are: 1) The wisdom I got from my mentor and on-demand mentors; 2) the skills I gained during the 4 projects; and 3) The job guarantee for peace of mind. -

Avoid Springboard at all costs. This company is a complete scam. The Head of Admissions, Justin, will charm you into signing up, but once you’re in, communication is nonexistent. You’re left dealing with unhelpful Zendesk employees who take forever to respond with vague, useless answers—if they even bother to get back to you at all.
I requested a refund after my disastrous experience, and it was a nightmare. First, they claimed it would take 45 days. When the time passed, they blamed a “glitch” and asked me to wait another 3-10 days—only to ultimately deny the refund altogether. Now I’m involving my bank to resolve this mess.
The content they charge $8-10k for is laughable—completely outdated and freely available online. Their so-called “mentors” and “career counselors” are unprofessional and unhelpful, constantly rescheduling and offering useless advice like suggesting entry-level IT Help Desk jobs. You’d be better off watching free Professor Messer videos and using LinkedIn Learning.
Their “labs,” which they market as exclusive, are actually from INFOSEC and can be purchased directly for around $100. Don’t waste your time, money, or energy on this fraudulent company. -

About Me:I chose a bootcamp because 1.) I desire to work in this field more than I can express 2.) An ex-coworker took this bootcamp and landed a role and 3.) I needed a structured, step-by-step curriculum to guide me through the UX/UI design process. Balancing the program with a full-time job was challenging, and I often found myself short on time to meet deadlines. On average, I dedicated around 12 hours a week to studying and completed Springboard’s UX/UI program in 12 months. I did take pauses along the way to catch up on coursework, which prolonged my timeline. Without the support of my amazing mentor and the exceptional IDP team I was paired with, it likely would’ve taken me at least three more months to finish. If you’re considering this bootcamp, I strongly recommend doing it while working part-time or not at all if you can—it will better prepare you for a role in UX/UI.
Pros: • Comprehensive Curriculum: The course covers all the fundamentals of UX/UI design, using curated free articles and videos. While these resources are available online, the program saves you time by organizing and vetting them. You’ll still need to dive deeper into some topics on your own, but you’ll have a clear path to follow. • Graded Assignments: Assignments provide an opportunity to practice your skills and get detailed, actionable feedback. • Flexibility: You can work at your own pace, even tackling sections in a different order. Many people don’t finish within the initial 9-month timeline, but free extensions make it manageable (and I personally found them helpful). • Mentorship: My mentor was incredible—offering honest critiques, real-world advice about the design industry, and detailed answers to my questions. This guidance made a huge difference in my progress. • Career Support: The program includes career coaching during and after the course. While the experience depends on your coach, it’s helpful to have someone review your resume, portfolio, and applications while keeping you accountable. • Independent Design Project (IDP): The IDP was my favorite part of the course, even though I typically loathe group projects in traditional school. Working with others who were equally motivated was key to delivering a high-quality project on time. It gave me valuable real-world experience and the confidence to tackle team-based projects in the future.
Cons: • Outdated Materials: Some articles are as old as 10 years, and occasionally links to resources are broken or unavailable. • Unrealistic Timelines: Suggested timelines for assignments don’t always account for beginners learning new tools or concepts. I also felt some career-related content could have been better structured, though the flexibility to work out of order helped. • Job Guarantee: The job guarantee (a refund if you don’t secure a job in 6-12 months) is legitimate but has strict requirements. To qualify, you’ll need to complete the course, apply for a set number of jobs weekly, build and maintain new professional connections, conduct informational interviews, and continue to upskill.
Final Thoughts:Despite a few shortcomings, I have no regrets about completing this bootcamp. It provided me with a solid foundation to pursue entry- or junior-level roles in UX/UI design. If you can dedicate part-time or full-time attention to it, the program is absolutely worth it! Working with a supportive mentor and a highly motivated IDP team made the experience truly rewarding. -

Though their curriculum is overdue for a refresh, I found it to be adequate to prepare me for the UX job market. The mentors and career coaches alone, are worth the investment. This 6-month program ended up taking me 9 months to complete - it's no light-duty bootcamp, and really I think the term "bootcamp" doesn't quite fit. This program pushed me to do my best work, and I'm hopeful that I'll get a job thanks to what I learned along with the ongoing support of the excellent post-completion coach I chose. I would recommend this program! -

Springboard's Software Engineering Bootcamp sincerely helped become a confident and knowledgeable software engineer. This bootcamp and the people at Springboard set you up for success, but it's all up to you to get what you can out of it. If you work hard, you will be able to say it was an amazing experience. The curriculum was not daunting and truly set you up for fruition in the Comp TIA Security+ exam. The most illuminating part of Springboard was the advice and motivation provided by my Mentor. I had an overall positive experience here in that the basics and essentials were covered by the curriculum. The course material was relevant and was set in real business-like environments. I do think the mentor program was helpful in making sure I was accountable with the program to graduate within the set timeline I had. Overall, it was a great learning experience. -

I had no official IT experience but I was gently let into the IT world through the layer upon layer approach of Springboard. I had hands on to see the concepts in practice. I had mentors, TAs and great support staff who promptly addressed my challenges.
Springboard is a people centered organization. They worked with me through phases in my private life which required my full attention like the delivery of our son. I could be present with family because Springboard has accommodations for events of life.
The course materials are so empowering that I felt prepared to take CompTIA with a few weeks of preparation.
Springboard has a great team of career coaches who have helped me set up a befitting Resume and a LinkedIn page.
