Product Gym includes two tracks: Skills Development and Career Acceleration. PG members get lifetime access to the fully remote program, which offers flexible start times, a comprehensive curriculum, and career support to help members secure their target product job.
The Skills Development track helps members to develop the mindset, knowledge, and skills of product management. It offers 20+ courses in business fundamentals; technical fundamentals; and product management career skills such as UX research, API, roadmapping, product marketing, case studies, and whiteboarding. This track can be completed in 3 months part-time, or at a flexible, self-led pace. Skills Development classes are led by subject matter experts who specialize in various subjects related to product management. PG members can join classes live, or choose to watch class recordings at their own pace.
The Career Acceleration track helps aspiring Product Managers communicate their value to employers in order to generate, secure, and negotiate job offers. Product Gym’s strategy for career changers and upgraders includes resume help, coaching on professional branding and positioning their background, interview and offer negotiation training, and community networking.
Both tracks can be taken flexibly, at the same or different times. On average, PG members spend 7 – 10 hours per week on both tracks combined. Once joined, members have access to all of PG's classes, community resources, and support for life.
Product School was the most amazing experience of 2017. I had little to no product management experience when I enrolled in the course. Through a combination of lectures, assignments, and confidence exercises (Yes! We do them here.) I was able to generate 11 PM interviews by the third week of the program. We focus on PM Career Topics WEEKLY, not just concepts and theories; because the students are here to make a transition. Product Gym makes the transition and simple (not easy).

Just do what the instructors and career support staff tells you here and you will be fine!
I felt like I was training for the special forces and I may well be; considering how competitive this damn role is. During the first open house I attended here, I notice there were 76 people from every background you can imagine trying to break into this field. I felt like I was training for the special forces and I may well be; considering how competitive this damn role is. During the first open house I attended here, I notice there were 76 people from every background you can imagine trying to break into this field. The staff at Product Gym makes this process and simple as possible for you. First, they sit down and talk about your goals and desires in making the transition. Then, they completely revamped my background from my resume, linkedin, cover letter, and helped me build a “back story” which I will love them for until my last days. The professionals at Product Gym are hardcore believers on GAME PLAN! After helping me tailor my own custom job hunting plan; we set out to generate as many interviews as possible. There is no hand holding in that; you just have to do it. By week 2 I was already seeing interviews coming in. Booyah!
I haven’t made the transition yet, but I am averaging 7 interviews a week with a higher and higher conversion ratio. I welcome anybody that is truly considering making a transition to just sit down with this amazing group of Product Managers and Career Support Coaches, so they work on a game plan with you.
My path to Product Management was inadvertent. I never knew what it was, until my friend (an industry veteran) exposed me to it and I was hooked. I read every book I could find on the subject, network ferociously, and prayed. There wasn’t a single book or person that was able to provide me with a roadmap of how I was going to leave my job in finance and transition into product. I didn’t want to take a job I don’t want at a company I liked; just to HOPE I could transition into product...

I read every book I could find on the subject, network ferociously, and prayed. There wasn’t a single book or person that was able to provide me with a roadmap of how I was going to leave my job in finance and transition into product. I didn’t want to take a job I don’t want at a company I liked; just to HOPE I could transition into product someday. Yes someday, that one f****ing day that never seems to come around. And then I discovered Product Gym; once I was blind, but now I see. Their Head Career Coach sat down with me for 1 full hour and broke my game plan. They told me what I needed to do inside and outside of class to be successful. In addition, I was also given a set of metrics to work with; 5 final round interviews. I just needed 5 final rounds and I will be home free.
I made the transition in two months. It was really hard and at times I really wanted to quit; but these guys wouldn’t let me. My advice to anybody looking to make the transition is to accept that this is going to be hard, follow the advice, and be prepared to do the work.

Our Lead Instructor leveraged his vast experience as a PM to give the class examples of what we can expect to encounter and how to approach challenges. This was very helpful considering that most of the students in the class has very little PM experience. I particularly liked how they had a VAULT of interview questions. Each week you would learn how to master a very particular set of questions based on different categories. It was so refreshing to see students landing and passing interviews during the course. By the end of the course, in addition to the PM concepts you'll know how to generate interviews, prepare for the them, and work with your instructor to progress to the final rounds.
