I have now completed the Web Fundamentals course. I am looking for a career change and that is what led me to NuCamp. I would say that this was a great experience. Along the way, the instructor took the time to explain things clearly, and to help us think of the way we should be searching when we do have a question. The topic covered were delivered in easily digested section as to not overwhelm.
I hope to continue on with the other selection of courses to become a full stack developer. I also want to revisit some of the purchased online courses now that I have a better understanding of the basics. -

I just finished! And that is easier said than done. Nucamp was way to learn coding for me. I researched many alternatives. I first considered very low-cost methods like buying books, reading websites, watching YouTube videos, or attending low-cost International courses with instructors who had hard-to-understand accents. I also, considered in-person bootcamps but they were all very expensive, plus they required you to quit your day job to study full-time for several months which increased the overall cost.
I was happily surprised to discover this highly rated online program called nucamp that provided the coding knowledge with a structured timetable to start and complete the material. I could maintain my day job and study during my free hours. I could ask questions when I needed extra help and I could attend an in-person instruction class weekly via Zoom. The instruction was spoken with clear easy to easy-to-understand neutrally accented English, super refreshing.

I find this bootcamp very helpful, The only thing I guess that I would change for myself, was the lack of knowledge I had prior. This bootcamp does do a very good job breaking things down, but it is is very fast paced and hard to retain everything at once. The cool thing about it though, is that your can access this information again at any time if you need to brush up on your java script. -

I have attended the python fundamentals course and i would like to say it has exceed my expectations.
Start with the things i really enjoy:- Very structural curriculum for each week and enough material for students to study between each workshop.
- Very well designed workshop challenge, its always helpful to code together with a senior programmer and improve yourself.
- The instructor is very seasoned and patient, very good at explaining things and lead us to solve complex problem. And the code review is very detailed and professional.
- I know this is the very first part of the whole bootcamp, however i feel like it is missing some practical element in the curriculum, i would really be interested in how in the real world a project looks like and how programmers are working together. And some insights on how to further develop your python skill for tech interview is always helpful.
- Some of the self study content can be quite difficult and the additional material doesn't seem 100% fit to that specific session.
- Maybe some more hands on code challenges will be useful. So we got to exercise every part of the knowledge we just learned.

Pretty Bad
This was not a good bootcamp. I was in the very first cohort for their "Back End, SQL, and DevOps Developer with Python" BootCamp. It was so bad that they actually emailed us and said that we can retake it at no cost and that they will refund us partially.Stephanie of Nucamp

We're a bit confused here with this review. The very first cohort of the Back End SQL and DevOps bootcamp was about 2 years ago starting over the summer of 2021... was your review in draft mode for the past 2 years? :)
We also don't recall needing to issue refunds or offer retakes to students. -

The bootcamp is moves along very fast, you consume a lot of information in a short time. You really need time to be able to research and spend time with the lessons you've learned. I took the bootcamp route because it was quicker than college. I chose Nucamp, because it was affordable, also it was recommended online for my region. My work schedule is strenuous, so this teaching style can be very difficult. You go through so many subjects at such a fast pace, and in my opinion, not in depth enough. That's why there has to be enough time to really spend time going back over the lessons, plus researching outside resources to help you understand the course material. -

I have been a Software QA Engineer for a couple of years now (responsible for quality and application testing); but coding, creating stuff from scratch, simply making it work has been fascinating me for quite some time. Besides, developers get a lot of credit for the work they do. ( QA often gets overlooked).
I was looking to learn something new and have been learning JS and FE on my own for a couple of months at that point. My current company offers a yearly stipend for self-development, which was just enough to pay for the FE course (or pretty much any course in NuCamp).
My goal is become a developer, move up, gain experience, learn BE and make a load of money and gain even more respect for doing such a challenging job. In addition, I love challenge and problem solving.
There is job assistance, I just haven't used / explored enough of it yet, so I haven't rater it but it seems solid. Like for this kind of money this is great to have all the options they mention and offer in the end. -

The main reasons I picked Nucamp over the rest was price, class dates availability and a review on youtube by Don the Developer. I took the Html, Css, Javascript class and I loved it because you had to teach yourself during the week and on the workshop day we would review with the instructor anything we didn't understand. I believe this way of learning is good because it resembles what will happen in real life, you have to try to find information on your own and know when to ask for help. I plan on taking front end bootcamp and backend next. After I finish the bootcamps I would like to work for start ups or contract work. -

Engaging, Conveniet, Friendly Bootcamp
I have had a very good experience with Nucamp ! The style (part-time, "offline" lessons, weekly online workshops) worked out very well for me. It was much more engaging than a C programming course I took in college. I am hoping to continue with them and move on to the Full Stack course. -

Practice is the best way to learn
I've learned so many new things during my bootcamp through exercises and I have more experience that I've never had before. I manage to fix the problem by doing more research, and gain skill in communication, research, teamwork, self-taught and so on. The most important thing is the affordable price that gives me a chance to start a new career without being worried about the financial. -

I enrolled in Nucamp because I had an interest in python and SQL. The Backend Development course seemed like the right choice for me at an affordable price. I've dabbled in python prior to the course but didn't understand the fundamentals well enough and felt I needed some guidance. The fundamentals were broken down and made easy to understand, accompanied by small projects and exercises to apply what I'd learned. Upon completing this bootcamp I aim to be an SDET or Software Developer.

I chose the Nucamp fundamentals bootcamp. It provides a structured way to learn with instructor support, additional resources, and a weekly live session. I learned the essential things I needed to learn at a price that was cost effective. I plan on learning more with Nucamp (their full stack & mobile) and would recommend them anyone looking for more learning structure than being self taught but also looking for a more economical way to do it. -

Great Bootcamp Course

I was inspired to take the leap with Nucamp because I was looking for an affordable learning structure so that I can learn to code. Upon doing so I have learned that I am very happy with my experience there, were some elements that made a learning a little difficult, but they were easy obstacles to overcome provided you have the drive and commitment to learn. I think that it was the best decision that I could have made and I'm excited to take the skills that i have been provided and apply them to a professional position. -

I signed up for NuCamp based on price and flexibility as well as how supportive the staff and leadership are. It was absolutley the right decision, the instructors have been great along with all the NuCamp staff. I will be moving on to the remaining bootcamps in the fullstack path. -

What led me to enroll was how flexible the course was to my schedule. I think it was a good decision, but I would rate this course a 6.8/10. The reason is that they encourage you to find more resources beyond the boot camp. It's a good thing, but help should be readily available considering how much I am paying with this course. It is ridiculous how the Discord server has over 300 people and still no one responds until a day or 2 later. There's not really any dedicated tutor, so they expect you to ask around for help. Not the most professional. Not too mention the discord server isn't the most private. Its not professional to have to ask your question in a group chat. Unless it is a simple question, its like you can't ask what you really want because other people need to use it. I feel like my knowledge is behind. Yes I did learn new things, but that's because I had to go beyond the bootcamp to other resources. I also had prior knowledge before the bootcamp but if you're brand new to coding, I wouldn't recommend unless you have a tutor or something that can really help you.
Regardless of my critique, I do aspire to achieve a job in back-end developer. My hope is that this bootcamp really was worth my time. -

What led me to nucamp was the price and the scholarships avaliable for women. I felt all the information learned was valuable however the pace at which you earn is very excelerated for a person that has never coded before. Learning key concepts took more time than given to fully understand. Im still trying to rap my head around some concepts that I thought I knew but when I try to apply them I've actually completely forgotten. Over all, despite the material pace I feel more aware of the concepts despite not fully grasping the concepts. I believe my learning style is more traditional in nature and less reliant on videos. Even with all the outside assistance from sling to websites, it could never take the place of an actual instuctional class setting. Im not sure nucamp is a good fit for me to continue with further courses, but it will not stop me from finding the bootcamp that fits my learning style. -

I was desperate to look for a way out of my previous role as a translator. I didn't feel I was creating any meaningful value for the world. Right before registering for another expensive coding bootcamp, I clicked the google ad of NuCamp by mistake. I feel so lucky that my finger slipped and clicked on the top link on my phone. Right on that day, I enrolled in the NuCamp Full Stack course after reviewing some information on the website. I feel I need to become a competent engineer to be able to contribute to the success of a business. I don't know what path is before me, but I will keep trying my best. There must be a way. -

it was great, we learned a bunch of stuff about bootstrap and javascript, it's mostly basics, there isn't a ton of depth, but you are paying for structure and the camaraderie of working with others and it can be a challenge. it goes by fast and there is a lot to do. the reason there are so many review is because it is a course requirement at the end other course. dunno if it's mandatory, but it's definitely a box that needs to be checked. if you are anything like me, it will bother you forever to leave a box unchecked -

Great foundation to Python
I am a complete newbie to the coding world. I chose NuCamp because they offered bootcamps that needed no prior experience. I was looking to learn basic front end coding skills to help me in my current role, which involves front end dev project management and QA'ing code changes. I chose Nucamp because it was affordable, and had a mix of live and asynchronus learning. The content is pretty comprehensive, and the instructors are helpful and inspiring. The Discord community is supportive and makes you feel like you belong. I am honestly so surprised at how much I've learned and come to enjoy coding, that I am considering a career pivot. I haven't personally taken advantage of the job hunting course or resources, but the Discord community shares some really awesome advice, job openings, and encouragement. -

Love the back end bootcamp!
My Nucamp experience was pleasent and very interactive. As a beginner I was able understand the concepts and apply them on my own when conducting the Challenge Codes. Even though it was online, my instructor was always a message away for any questions. I could tell my classmates and I felt that we could voice our opinions and concerns to each other and to our instructors without a doubt! -

Great course
I joined Nucamp because I needed a structure to learn the basics of coding. Compared to other boot camps out there it provided better ROI in a short period of time. I was able to work at my own pace during weekdays and get answers to any questions I have in live workshops on Saturdays. Overall, it helped me a lot.
