I learned so much more
So far, I've taken two "beginner" courses. One from another group and one from NuCamp. I learned so much more from NuCamp in the same amount of time. I was blown away. I'm looking forward to enrolling in the Front End course, next. -

As a housewife for 5 years, I don't want be left behind, and my previous job (social media copywriter)is sort of related to web development, I used to create contents, it will be really cool if I can build a website by doing both!
Nucamp course covers most important full stack technology, and it is easy for beginners to merge into programming habits. The same time, coding always needs to keep learning by yourself, so I also spend a lot of time to explore more besides what the courses will teach.
All in all, it is great decision that I choose nucamp and put my feet into coding water, and I still like coding. -

I was very hesitant to start a Bootcamp, particularly with a company I've never really heard of before. However, I am EXTREMELY satisfied I went with Nucamp. The course is very well laid out, the instructor is very knowledgeable and calm, which I believe are skills needed in a fundamentals course.
Upon starting, I knew the layout of the course would be easy to follow, as in I wouldn't get lost navigating the site. The dashboard is clearly laid out where you are, versus where you're going, and having a task list for each week and checking them off felt very refreshing. The content is quick, which gets you to coding that much faster. As in, you start coding within the first few videos. Again, very refreshing to put your hands right in and show what you just learned.
Coming from very basic knowledge of syntax and coding in general, to go from where I started, to where I am now, it is night and day. The retention I have is absurd. I would recommend Nucamp to anyone, either complete beginner (like me) to a junior developer. -

Web Fundamentals
The Fundamentals course was a great way to brush up on basics of HTML,CSS, and Javascript. It help me be more confident on the my fundamentals as I prepare my progress to the next step of my goals. -

Web Fundamental Course
I need to learn basic HTML, CSS, and Javascript because of my work, and I enrolled in the 4-week online class. It helps me to understand more about web fundamentals. The instructor, Natalie is very patient and good at explaining.

I am a career changer who has always had a interest in a tech career. What led me to enroll in Nucamp after doing extensive research was the affordability and flexibility of the bootcamp. I am employed fulltime and have a young family. So time, flexibility, and affordability were important for me. The instructors are very helpful and so is the online community. If you get stuck someone is always there to assist. -

"HTML, CSS and JavaScript" Intro Bootcamp Review

The introductory HTML, CSS and JavaScript course was fun, engaging, and well worth the money. Even though the exercises were mildly challenging at times, the way the assignments were structured really helped facilliate independent thinking and experimenting.
I was originally looking to use this course as a refresher before moving into a larger, more well-known, more expensive bootcamp, but the way this course structure was fantastic and my instructor was exceedingly helpful. I will definitely be considering NuCamp courses in the future!
I did not utilize any sort of Job Assistance features/services during enrollment in the course. I did see that their Slack community was fairly involved in that regard. -

I just completed the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Fundamentals course, which lasted 4 weeks. I would only recommend this course if you're just wanting to test whether this learning method is practical for you before financially commiting to the Front End/ Full Stack course. They just barely touch on the covered topics. They provide links to MDN and W3 Schools for supplemental reading on every topic. For HTML and CSS they didn't teach me anything I didn't learn from Free Code Camp, and didn't cover it as well. In the last week, there was less material and there were far fewer coding challenges, replaced for code alongs where you download a file and then do exactly what the instructor in the video is doing. For JavaScript I spent a lot of time on other websites to supplement the learning material in order to give myself an understanding, and was still told I should spend 3-4 weeks continuing to expand my knowledge on JavaScript in order to be successful in the longer courses. I was already planning on that, but to be told that you still aren't ready for the full courses after you take the fundamentals course they recommend so that you DO have the required knowledge for those courses is not a good feeling.
As far as the experience, I enjoyed it. I liked that they provided links on every lesson for further reading. I liked that they had copepens for us to work on. It was nice having my instructor and classmates when I needed assistance, and that was always what kept me from advancing in the more self-guided courses. I liked that I didn't have to entirely quit my job for this, because that isn't realistic for most people. I liked having the workshops on the weekends with my classmates and instructor present. Overall, I enjoyed the learning experience and felt this was a good learning format for me so I signed up for one of the full courses.
If you're wanting to see if the way NuCamp does things is right for you before financially commiting to one of the longer courses, go ahead. If you have tried free or cheap self-guided intro courses and gotten stuck and would benefit from having an instructor and classmates to reach out to, sign up. If you can muddle through FreeCodeCamp or Udemy to get your basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JS then I would do that, skip the fundamentals course, and just sign up for the longer course. -

Nucamp Intro class Review
I enrolled into nucamp because I wanted a new career path. I took the intro course and learned significantly. I think its a good choice for anyone who is interested in learning code. It teaches the basics and gets your feet wet to later lead into other courses or languages. -

I enrolled in Nucamp to get an refresher on html, css, and javascript. I came into the course knowing quite a bit about html, and css. With very limited experience to Javascript. So far It has been a decent refresher on the first two. If I had come into Nucamp not knowing anything about html, css, or javascript I would be completely overwhelmed and still unsure how to use any of it. -

I wanted to make a career change. I had dabbled in coding throughout my teenage years, but never thought I had what it took to be a programmer. However, after seeing how this career fit my personality, strengths, and goals for my life, Nucamp presented an opportunity to make that shift. I was being taught the most prevalent technologies of today that make me job ready. The instructors were keen to help and pass on their knowledge, both technical and career. Nucamp was also what I could afford at the time, and I was even able to afford upgrading to the Fullstack course. I would recommend was people looking to transition to tech jobs. -

Great course but you have to put in the extra work if you want to get the most out of it. Just following the instructions won't get you where you need to be to understand everything. -

Excellent Experience!
I decided to enroll in Nucamp because of their flexible schedule and payment plan. I have been thrilled with the quality of training I have received to this point. The instructors have taken time to help our class through the material and are always available to help with any questions or issues. I could not be happier with my decision to enroll in Nucamp! -

I went with NuCamp largely due to the price and the reviews. Many bootcamps are inexpensive but the reviews show that even at a steeply discounted price they are not worth it. Thus far, NuCamp is more than worth the amount that I am paying. -

i got into this course to learn a new career. Most of my experience had been in the hardware of digital systems. The research I had done, shown that most of the bootcamps ,
were at least four times that of Nucamp, The coursework was straightforward and useful. -

What led to Nucamp was the advice of a friend who explained to me the way the course is setting up at Nucamp. Learning based on video teaching was the click that attracted me. In addition, I loved the workshop setting that brings students and instructors together where instructors go over what we learned during the week. It was a great decision for me to take these classes with Nucamp. -

Nucamp has been a great experience so far. I just finished my Web Development Fundamentals course and am excited to move on to the Full Stack Bootcamp. My instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful. My classmates were nothing short of amazing and I learned a great deal. I have wanted to get into web development for a couple of years. I went the "self-taught" route, but ended up putting it on hold. Nucamp gives me the structure I need to move forward and make the gradual process I need to push me towards my ULTIMATE goal. Being a full stack web developer.
Thank you, Nucamp. -

What led me to enroll in Nucamp, was to enhance some of my web development skills, and to see what areas I needed improvement. It really taught me quite a bit. Where I thought I knew Javascript, I found out I was incorrect. There was more that I needed to learn. Nucamp was the right decision for me because it is a bootcamp that won't hurt your pocketbook. The syllabus is very easy to follow, and the instructors are very insightful. Everyone is very helpful in your success. I highly recommend anyone that is looking for a great coding bootcamp, to take a look at Nucamp. -

Great Experience. Helped me immensely
I enjoyed the experience. I tried learning on my own but was hitting constant roadblocks. NuCamp helped me push past those blocks and exceed my own expectations on what I was capable of. I look forward to taking the next step in the process and feel comfortable knowing NuCamp has got my back. -

With everything that happened in 2020 with lockdown and quarantine, my position was eliminated in the hospitality/casino industry in Las Vegas. I first found interest in coding in 2018 and with my specific situation, it was time to explore coding more and I'm glad I chose to go with Nucamp. The process of getting enrolled/registered is easy and once classes begin, everyone is very helpful and friendly from the different cohorts to all the different instructors and I came in with absolutely no experience in coding besides whatever I would do on 'myspace' when that was a thing. The coursework was great for me and I was slower in my process but the information and resources provided made going thru the coursework and exercises understandable. The time needs to be set aside to really learn and understand all the information and Nucamp's structure allowed me this time and provided extra resources to do additional/further learning, which is highly recommended even with the web fundamentals course, it will help ease your transition into the other bootcamps! I'm moving on to the Full stack bootcamp and would recommend Nucamp for sure! -

As a Truck Driver and Newbee to the software development world, this course was on spot to what I wanted to learn, the basic starting point of code writing....very easy, hands-on, great material, explanatory instructional class video, and a good workshop to make you think and solve the assignment in a developers mindset. My Instructor was an Awesome Instructor, very patient, and thorough in explaining the course and assignment. Plus you get a lot of support from fellow staff and students on a social platform.
If you ever thought of learning this or getting into this, I highly recommend this school and course.....very affordable and easy to attend and follow by far. -

I have been wanting to break into web development for quite some time, I purchased a course on another online platform but without any deadline or structure it never really went anywhere. This bootcamp taught me more in 4-weeks than I'd learned in the last 2 years. I am really pleased with the knowledge I've gained and am looking forward to the next bootcamp. I am really glad I took the fundamentals course, now I feel like I can take on the fullstack bootcamp without worrying if I will be able to keep up. -

I have experience in web development and after taking this course I feel so much more comfortable and knowledgeable. My instructor was great and he really wanted us to succeed and understand everything. He took the time to help us if we had any questions was always available. After watching my friend who is in LPN school doing online learning at Lincoln Tech, I can say for sure NuCamp knows what they are doing and they have a very well-organized course. Lincoln tech is so unorganized and nobody on the same page and the teachers don't even want to help it seems. I feel so lucky that NuCamp isn't anything like that. Thanks again, Andrew. -

I really enjoyed Nucamp for the continuous project that we worked on throughout the curriculum. But the greatest thing so far is the unlimited access to the course that gets updated very often with new details and techniques.
I would definitely suggest Nucamp over any other coding Bootcamp. -

I wanted to learn programming so I can start a new career. I started looking into bootcamps because I knew that it would provide the right direction and curriculum rather than trying to pick it up on your own. I almost signed up for a $15k bootcamp and was very nervous about making that decision. After doing some more research, I found a bootcamp in my city called Nucamp. This best part, it was affordable. The price was too good to be true! I watched a youtube video with the founder (Ludo) going over the program and I really liked that he was very transparent and up front. I finally made the decision and signed up. I took a web fundamentals course and I am not in the full stack dev course. I am glad I went with Nucamp because the quality of education you receive is amazing, Nucamp is underrated! As with everything, what you put in is what you get out! I'm saying this becuase the resources they give you really helps you understand a new concept, you are not left confused and "on your own." With these resources, you have a very high chance of succeeding if you put in the time. Highly recommend Nucamp, I'm glad I joined. For anyone in doubt, as someone that hardly ever writes a review, I'm writing this because Nucamp is that good that it warrants this review! -

I was very impressed with NuCamp's curriculum in every aspect! From the organization and layout of the content, to the communication and support from the instructors.I originally was accepted into a Software Development bootcamp that was postponed until the summer/fall. Instead of waiting, I took the Web Development Fundamentals couse with Nucamp. It was even better than advertised. I found myself counting the days down til Saturday each week! I could not wait to learn and interact with my fellow classmates and instructor. I would recommend NuCamp to anyone interested or looking to change careers. -

So far I'm on week 3 of the React course and let me say that is the worst course I have ever taken. they do not explain the logic in the lectures they just show you how and where to write the code, I'm so disappointed , I signed up base on their reviews and I have no idea how they are rated so high, It dose not make any sense. I contacted at leas 3 other students and we all agreed that Nucamp is not a good school at all. 4 hours workshop each Saturday for 12 students where we suppose to review the whole week content and work on the weekly assignment, that is not enough at all, we don't have time to ask questions and instructors do not have to time to explain the material. I will be honest and update the review if things change along the way but right now I feel I should not be wasting more time at Nucamp and move to another coding school!Ludo Fourrage of Nucamp

Hello XXXXX, really sorry that you feel this way. Since you've just recently started React I would suggest reaching out to studentadmin@nucamp.co for a refund. Given how far along you are you should be getting a good amount of your tuition back.
Now regarding your feedback, I find it difficult to respond to it to be honest. Regarding the React module you are attending that started on May 3rd, we have 19 instructors looking after 200+ students total. Each week we ask students to rate their instructor and the content, and right now the average rating for instructors is 4.48 out of 5, while the content rating is 4.23 out of 5. It's not perfect but likely not "the worst" either. The video and written instructions are meant for you to learn from, which is helped by exercises where we ask you to reproduce what you just saw in your own local environment. Just copying the code won't produce the intended learning experience indeed.
You mention that you contacted "at least 3 other students". Your impression of the school and your personal experience speaks for itself I think. Not clear also what you mean by "at least", is it 3 students, or 4, or 10?
Lastly it is not clear what your 1 star review of Job Assistance is based on since you haven't started the career services yet.
Please reach out to studentadmin@nucamp.co so that we can evaluate options to make it right for you, and support your transition out of the school so that you can explore alternatives. Feel free to reach out to me directly as well at ludo@nucamp.co. -

I enrolled in Nucamp's 4-week Web Development Fundamental course because I'm making a career change from teaching to web development. It was an affordable first step towards this long-term goal. I was/am actively looking to get out of the healthcare field and my friend brought NuCamp to my attention. I was looking over the material and information this course provided. What really helped make my decision is the affordability compared to other bootcamps. I am now done with the 4-week fundamentals course and I feel like I was provided a foundation that is predominantly for the self-motivated to learn further. You will have to spend time on your own that the course does not cover, but does cover the need-to-know basis. I am looking forward to diving into the full stack program, hoping it tailors to what I have already learned. So far it has been a great, yet stressful experience. I would recommend for those that are looking to get into Web Development. -

I wasn't sure about Nucamp as I hadn't heard a lot about it. I must say I learned a lot about it in the fundamentals course and I loved it!
The instructors are knowledgable and have real world working experience to bring to their teaching.
The course work is organized well throughout the week and the workshops really bring everything together. The small class sizes are great for working with others and getting plenty of time with the instructor to work through issues.
One of the biggest draws for me at the beginning was the affordability. It is tough to be able to afford these camps especially being a father, but having to give up to 15% of ones salary for others isn't exactly appealing either. Nucamp is affordable and of the same quailty as the more expensive camps.
I would 10/10 recommend Nucamp to anyone looking to learn Web Dev or change carreers. Thanks Nucamp! -

I chose Nucamp because it was online and the price was affordable. I have been studying html and css (and a little bit of js) for about a year. I figured it would give me a good foundation for entering the bootcamp. I took the basic course first (web dev fundamentals) just to help with my understanding, and I learned a lot. I have signed up for the full stack course which starts soon. I would recommend this if your thinking about entering the field. A little background on the subject matter is helpful (self study) so that its not as overwhelming when you start the bootcamp.
