This was the best way to learn HTML.CSS & javascript

Nucamp's Fundamentals class was exactly what I needed to get me back into coding/programming after a few too many years of not using it. I am definitely more confident going into the FullStack Development course now. My professor was so experienced, so helpful and made it great for the total beginners and people with a little more experience. I would recommend NuCamp to everyone who was looking to jump into development, and do it effectively and efficiently. -

As someone completely new to coding, overall I am very satisfied with the Fundamentals course I took, especially for the price.
I felt there was a lot of great information that was structured relatively well. I think trying to learn these basics on my own would have been much more difficult without the direction this course provided, as I would have been much more scattered. While I wish they had a bit more hands-on exercises during the CSS and first JavaScript week, they do include quite a bit of helpful resources to fill in the gap that offer some great examples.
While the course was only $350, I feel like like what I learned is certainly up that value, if not more, and there's not much else I could really ask for. -

I joined the Nucamp fundamentals course to help me remember all the stuff I've forgotten over the years, and learn about all the things that have changed. For a fundamentals course it does a good job touching on all the basics. Since I had never used CSS before I wouldn't have minded going a bit more in depth there, but with limited time I understand why they couldn't. For a "true" beginner I think this course is paced very well, but for someone like me with some previous knowledge I felt there could have been a little less hand holding and the assignments could have been a little less "cut and paste."
My instructor was great and was able to answer all my questions. Being able to do 90% of the work on my own time was a real plus for me.
I really look forward to moving on to the next class. -

Nucamp was not my first choice because I thought, "how can a Bootcamp be this much less expensive than all the others?" I read a lot and asked other students, current and prior, of Nucamp about their experience and I never got a negative response. Ever. Based on my available time and my finances, I decided to try the Web Development Fundamentals course. I needed to brush up on my HTML and CSS and my experience in JavaScript was next to none. Plus, even if I didn't find their methods helpful, I'd only be out a small amount of money.
The amount of content required per week was more than manageable, it touched on the basics, and the Saturday class assignment tied up a great deal of what you learned that week. What I found exceptionally helpful were the Slack groups. No matter your question or problem, someone jumped in to answer it or help you through it. Sometimes the help came from instructors but more often it was students who helped out even if they weren't in your cohort or even taking your class. Everyone pitched in.
I'm glad I gave Nucamp a shot. Since everything went as well, I've signed up for their Fullstack Web & Mobile Development course. Once I've completed that, I'll be leaving a second and more thorough review of my experience. If you're on the fence, talk to one of their support staff, look up previous & current students on Career Karma or LinkedIn or hit up YouTube and watch an info session. -

Great Price & Quality Teaching
Hearing youtube reviews and the full interview of the CEO with a podcaster on youtube really help me chose Nucamp. Also, it was the best price which was needed since I'm on a very tight budget. I'm a school teacher as well, and another teacher who did the full stack BootCamp was able to change her career and land a job as a software engineer after the 2nd week of ending the Bootcamp. -

Though it was hard to follow sometimes as I started from scratch, the amount of work and group work helped tons. I did struggle, but at no point of time did I feel like I couldn't figure it out. Having no coding experience before hand I was apprehensive about doing this boot camp, but I was able to hold my own. I feel like the pace, self-work, and group-work was the perfect balance. Our mentor/teacher was great, and I would not change anything about how I was taught. -

If you ever want an absolute truckload of dev knowledge to be pressed into your head, this is the place. I thought that the cost was absolutely worth the experience. You will have access to more information than you know what to do with at the time you receive it. It is so difficult to trust the process but do it. It will feel like you're trying to describe cave paintings by touch in the dark, you just have to keep going. There is so much help from all directions. The instructors are supportive and responsive. The alumni and other students are invaluable. The slack channel is THE BEST support tool, learn how to search your lesson or problem within slack. All of the additional resources that are provided on literally every single page of the curriculum should be bookmarked and saved for reference, and for when you can go back to read and study them. It is a very flexible format that allows you to study when you can, but be sure to commit more time than you think will be needed. It was extremely challenging but worth every second. -

NuCamp's pricing and pace is just right. The curriculum caters those who can dedicate 2-4 hours a day. I enjoyed my experience and feel that I am learning the fundamentals of Python. -

The course is kind of like a glorified Udemy or youtube course with your instructors really being more like TA's that you meet with on Saturdays. The instructors are probably the best part and are actually knowledgeable.
If you still want to take it, enroll in the frontend and NOT fullstack. you can upgrade at any time, even after graduation. But they will not let you downgrade without dropping out entirely, and they won't refund your money. -

I was originally going to do data science at Springboard because they had a job guarantee. However, I learned I wasn't too in love with statistics and probabilities. I somehow found NuCamp and the DevOps program that is Python-based. I knew I wanted to continue learning Python but not Data Science. NuCamp costs substantially less though it doesn't offer a job guarantee. I did some research and saw that DevOps seemed to be in high demand, so I applied and was accepted. I enjoyed the coursework and enjoy learning more Python. The Saturday video calls are long but very helpful in answering questions, reviewing coursework, and starting the challenging assignments.
I would highly recommend getting a little bit of knowledge of python through apps like Mimo before starting this course so you are not completely in the dark. -

I like to say upfront I'm not being paid or will received any incentives for this review. This is optional for me to post. If you're just getting started and want to get your feet wet and have never code before, this is a great introductory course. Granted it's not the most in depth, you can only learn so much in 4 weeks, this does give you the confidence to build an html starter page, intro to css-where to put them(whether internal on the html or external link) and finally intro to javascript. How all 3 are put together to make a website dynamically. I tried learning on my own through free tutorials online and couldn't get pass css, where to put the line of codes etc. This is not the most in depth course, but a great intro course for the money and will get you prepared should you decide to go for the full stack course. Teaches you how to start talking and thinking like a programmer. Yes there are other bootcamp out there more intense and more in-depth, but the prices are also 10 times the cost. For the prices and value, this is a great intro to see if programming or being a web developer is for you, takes only 4 weeks. As of this writing we just finished and wrapped up our final workshop assignment. I signed up for the full stack course and we're given a month's break before jumping into the new course. If you're already familiar with the basics of html, css and javascript, then you don't need to take this intro course and can sign up directly for their full stack course. The full stack course assumes you already have a working knowledge of setting a html boiler plate, knowing how to do internal or external styling of css and javascript. Our class had 12 people so the instructor to student ratio is excellent. This was my first time ever using zoom video conference and first time using Slack which is "facebook/twitter" like text chat program for asking genral questions or posting about job boards or programming help. -

Rough beginning. I linked to Nucamp with a misbehaving gmail account which was causing issues with some tasks in the course. Tech Admin helped me sort out the issue so I didn't fall behind in class.
Course teaches with videos, slides, and code completing tasks/practice. There are people (students & instructors) in slack who can look at your work if you need help. Instructor was engaging with students to help & answer questions during the Saturday workshop and in slack throughout the week.
Ultimately you will get out of the course the effort that you put in. It was worth it. The course served its' purpose. I learned enough of the fundamentals to move onto front-end/full-stack. -

I took the leap to sign up for classes through NuCamp because I wanted to get into Web Development to gain more skills that I can use to further my career goals. I really enjoyed the way NuCamp organized courses with their lessons and assignments. It's perfect for people who are wanting to get into web development while trying to balance work and life as well. I definitely recommend at least taking the Web Development Fundamentals course to gain a sense of how courses will be taken and given and get a step into coding. -

I had dabbled in coding a few years ago in C# but did not like the backend. I was at a crossroads in life where I was desperate to do something different, and find something that I truly enjoyed doing. I ended up giving the bootcamp a chance because I read somewhere that the front-end and the back-end would net completely different experiences, and it did. Doing Javascript, HTML, and CSS allows me to take advantage of my artisic and creative side and I greatly enjoyed it. My instructor Kevin was amazing and helped us every step of the way through our journey. I believe that it was definitely the right decision to enroll because I learned that I do enjoy coding and I will continue into the front-end bootcamp next. For the price you pay and how much you truly learn, you can't beat Nucamp coding bootcamp. -

I looked at bootcamps extensively before deciding on Nucamp, the more I dug into researching them the clearer it was that Nucamp was the right choice. The high reviews and a price point that won't put you in extensive debt. I just completed the fundamentals course and have enrolled for the next round of full-stack. So this review is only on the fundamentals course.
The instructor was friendly, helpful, and available when I needed them. In addition to the in-person Saturday workshop, the instructor also hosted a Sunday zoom meeting for anyone needing further assistance with their workshop project, and a mid-week check-in zoom call to offer more help with the things you are learning throughout the week. My experience with Nucamp so far has exceeded expectations. The only thing that would have made it better for me (and to be honest this is nit-picking and something I would probably say about any bootcamp on the market) it would be helpful to me and how my brain processes information to have examples along the way of the different concepts as they would be used in real-life application, ex: you may not understand but this concept would be used on a fully functioning website to do X, this would have helped me understand WHY the concept was important.

Nucamp: html, css, javascript 4 week

Hello, I wanted to make a review about Nucamp's 4 week online intro course. I just finished my last assignment an hour ago and wanted to give feedback on the course.
I wanted to learn something new and hopefully change occupations. I've been working in retail for 10 years. I'm just very tired of being on my hands and feet all night and I want to do something new. I looked around and decided to get into the computer field. I chose programming because there is always something new to learn. I figured, that it would keep me busy and pay well in the end. So, I took a vacation and looked around on course report and found Nucamp. The price was hard to beat at $350 for a 4 week intensive course, even just to try it out. So, I did. The work is hard, you have to study, and learn to use other resources to help yourself out. Although, with how much you have to learn in a short amount of time, I feel it has made me smarter in a way. There is so much to learn and still, so much I don't understand. The course gives you a basic understanding of html, css, and javascript. You won't learn everything in just 4 weeks and some things are easier to understand than others, but you will learn a lot. The decision for me was a good one and I feel even though I don't understand everything its doable with practice. You just have to get out there and code and make it a lifestyle. -

The cost for a web fundamental and full stack course is the first thing. The course itself for career advancement, the time length, scheduling and convience with life. A boot camp usually jumps a person into action to learn at a faster pace to know what needs to be done. I wish I would of learned this while in service. I would of had a better life a long time ago. I look forward to a better future and career for Me&my Son. I know this was the right move. -

I've been in IT for 26 years and have always wanted to learn coding and because of some recent physical ailments I decided go ahead and do it so I will still have marketable skills if I am unable to get around for my IT support job. I had nucamp recommened to me by a former student and I am glad he did. The price was great, the course, materials and programs are all laid out for you which makes it so easy to concentrate on learning so that you can suceed. They also provide tons of web links to additional information that will help while your learning during the course and continued education beyond it. I am so glad that I made to choice to do the nucamp program. I completed the initial 4 week HTML, CCS & JavaScript course and have already signed up for the Full Stack Web + Mobile Development course. -

A buddy of mine told me about nucamp so I decided to check it out. I absolutley loved that I was able to work on my own pace monday thru friday then finish the week on saturdays from 9 am to 1pm thru video zoom workcamps. Any questions that I had throughout the week I could simply ask my instructor and they could walk me through any assignments. -

I decided to join NuCamp for several reasons. First, the great reviews swayed me. Next, I looked at which skills were a best fit for the current web/app design job market, and the tools which NuCamp teaches were the most in demand and seemed to be the ones which would benefit me most. Next, was the price. NuCamp taught the most useful curriculum, at the cheapest price and had the most satisfied students. That made it a no brainer! -

Throughout my bootcamp research I discovered plenty of solid choices. However, the biggest selling point with Nucamp was the flexibility with my schedule. Being able to still work full-time and complete the courses after work is great. Another obvious reason why Nucamp stood out over the other bootcamps is the cost. I am happy with the decision i made in choosing Nucamp, and would encourage others to enroll as well. -

As a 38 year old with lots of skills and experience in the labor/service industry, I spent 13 of those years as a professional screen printer and was looking to try something new. Up until about two months ago I had never written a single line of code in my life. I was nervous and uncertain how hard it would be for me to learn coding. I signed up for the fundamentals course and immediately felt welcomed. It was challenging for sure but it was also fun and there was an entire community available to help. After completing the course I decided to continue with Nucamp. With life being, well life, I moved across the country and took a job in a friends café. Now having completed my first course section of bootstrap in the front end and app development course, I am confident to call myself a web-developer. With much yet to learn, I am looking forward to the next three months of diving in to become more knowledgeable and skilled. I now spend my days making coffee and writing code and I love it. The best part is, this is just the beginning. Soon I'll graduate and start a career in the tech industry. -
