HyperionDev is a very competent school where one can complete a boot camp in various areas of programming. The software engineering and full-stack web development, that I did, is very demanding and requires you to often do more research online in addition to the study metarial provided. I found that as a beginner 65-70 hours study time is required from you. The mentors are helpful but also don't make things too easy for you as most of the work is required to be done by you. I would recommend that the booking times for mentors have more available slots sooner than what is currently available. The study metarial is highly informative yet concise. Hyperyon was a waste of money.
The course is very poorly designed. Is it basically a pack with 90 pdfs full of typos.
The learning journey is incomplete and missing some basic and important topics you will need on any job application.
The differential is the claimed human reviews and support, which are made by students with no experience, and there was usually a 10-day waiting list to get a 30 min call with a mentor. Mentors are students that didn't necessarily finish the course yet, and have no expertise to be able to solve your problems.
I had to sign up for Datacamp and Codecademy to learn the basics and be able to finish some tasks at the Bootcamp, as the explanation for their lessons and exercises don't match the content of the tests.
Had to send complaints weekly to the support team, because the platform was constantly not working, mistakes are normal and communication is terrible. Most of my emails were never replied and nothing ever got done to fix it.
I truly think anyone would be wasting their money doing this bootcamp. I did.

Hyperions courses are amazing, there is definitely help from a vareity of mentors which is awesome, and the course moves from basics to advanced in a staggered way that slowly builds up your confidence, however there is no such thing as spoon feeding if you want to learn programming! Youv got ot figure it out!
that being said they really do help alot and it is definitely worth the money, i just hope they give me alittle more time to finish as i tend to overthink things and therefor move alittle more slowly than other students. The career expo they run is amazing and i cant wait to join the graduate programme -

Bootcamp review
Pros : a lot of support is given and all the work is project based, so you get to learn how to code and no more tutorial hell!
cons : projects are slightly difficult so the course may not be for absolute beginers and learners are more responsible for the learning so it might not be a good fit for everybody. However if learning autonomy is for you then give the bootcamp a go!! -

Friendly and Challenging
Overall this course was one of the best courses I've ever been a part of. The amount of attention given to keeping the tasks legitimately thought provoking and challenging was something I had not seen before with many of the other courses I have completed. The staff are always trying to assist and I never felt like I couldn't get any help with the work if I felt stuck. -

I have honestly learnt a lot from Hyperion Development as they provide real world task experiment.
The tasks may be challenging but not once have I felt like a beginner because every time I get stuck I could easily contact my mentor for help via discord or book a 1:1 session with the Code Reviewer all I can say I had a wonderful experiment at Hyperion Development as an Online Part-Time Student. -

I had zero programming experience and in a few months HyperionDev helped me develop the right foundation for my Data Science journey. My first tasks included writing psuedo code and getting my code to print out various outputs. From googling 'what is object oriented programming?' in the early stages of the course to polynomial regression and classification models. The course content is extensive and progressively demanding. All the projects completed leave you with a sense of awe, 'I coded that!', and a need to dig deeper and learn more.
Help is always given to those that seek it. Mentors mark your work in time to walk you through your mistakes in order to solidify the correct knowledge. They also give you additional references and tools to use to expand on skills & techniques that you excel in. Not once do you ever feel incompetent or 'this question is going to be stupid' as a beginner programmer during the Mentorship.
The support offered by HyperionDev Course Consultants is punctual and helpful. An overall good experience.
I cannot review ths Job Assistance metric as i am yet to complete my bootcamp.
It is the best decision I have made. -

My experience with hyperionDev is amazing, I got to learn a lot in Tech with a course I chose which is Data Sciences.
The boot camp is professional, easy to understand tasks given to you, even provide you with 75% of content you will need to complete your tasks the rest I had to research, easy access to reach HyperionDev support, a phone call away, get back to you in time , they have good communication skills and are understanding and willing to help you with whatever you need regarding the Bootcamp and the course you chose.
With Booking calls for one-on-one sessions, you get at least 30,45 min to explain to your mentor what you struggling with so they can help you and make you understand visually with zoom meeting.
The boot camp could improve with the flow of one-on-one sessions, because sometimes you can be stuck and to got to the next task you going to have to finish the previous task and the mentor by then isn't available for at least 4 days. That sets you back, even improve on previews so if there are any adjustments one can solve them in time and also be on time due to the duration of the boot camp.
More content is needed with visual videos for more understanding and clarity.

Hyperiondev is a great place to learn all about software engineering, the course teaches you how to code in python and Java. At first I thought coding was an extremely complex and difficult thing to learn, however the great mentors make it so easy to grasp, they do not spoon feed you, which I preferred, they make sure that you are able to think and code for yourself. My experience at the Cape Town on site campus has honestly been a great experience. Even when not on site I was always able to contact my mentors and lecturers whenever I needed advice or just got stuck on something and needed a little bit of guidance. There is really nothing bad to say about them. However I dare say that 3 months is a little time to take in so much information, the course is intense, but they do offer extensions for you to be able to carry on. The staff is always supportive, respectful and quick to respond too. So I would definitely say that my overall experience has been a pleasant one at hyperiondev. I won't be able to give a rating or review in their job assistance just yet since I'm still finishing off my course, so for now I'll leave it at not applicable. -

I have had a great experience with them so far (for the past 6 months I have been with them). The instructors (mentors) are always available and it takes just a few hours, if not minutes sometimes, to get them to call you back to assist you. They have also been improving by adding videos for each and every one of their modules (tasks).
So, overall, it's 4.9* out of 5 for me. Taking a course with them is worthwhile, it will definitely pay-off. -

HyperionDev is an excellent option if you need to start a career in technology from scratch but don’t have the time or money to enroll in a three year course at an university. They start at the very basics but advance quite fast into more complicated concepts. The course content is well put out. Each task has it's own PDF document with all the information you need, but if you want to know more about the topic or need a better understanding you would need to do your own research. Each task has a few assignments that you need to complete. These range in various difficulties, covering the basics but some can become quite challenge so ask for advise where you can.
Always remember what you put in is what you get out. There are numerous resources at HyperionDev such as mentors and peers who are more than willing to assist. Alternatively Google will become your best friend. If you put in the hours, do some additional research and build a relationship with your mentor then you will reap the fruit of your effort
If your expectations are realistic then you will definitely not regret studying through HyperionDev. They provide the most affordable option if you want an advanced, in depth course. But keep in mind programming in any field is challenging regardless of where you study.
For me, HyperionDev made the impossible possible. -

The HyperionDev Data Science Bootcamp is quite an intense and immersive Bootcamp. The curriculum covers a large array of areas related to Data Science, and the first level takes you through all the fundamental and intermediate usages of Python, which essentially builds up your coding skills in order to better understand the inner workings of the daily functions performed by a Data Scientist. Not only will you learn to use your Data Science skills, but you will also be able to easily interpret the complex code written by your future peers and colleagues, which is an added benefit that isn't always included in other Data Science Bootcamps. The curriculum questions for tasks and projects do leave quite a lot of space for interpretation, which allows a student to interpret and solve various problems in a personalized and creative manner. The support team, especially Tevin, are great and very responsive. My mentor Nizaam is especially knowledgable in the field and has a very unique and interactive manner to teach you how to solve data projects on your own by invoking thought and setting your mindset to that of a programmer. Unfortunately, I can not review the Job Assistance they offer, as that only comes into effect once you have completed the Bootcamp. -

HyperionDev certainly has an interesting teaching model. Every student is assigned a mentor to help them when the going gets tough. And kindly they did tell me I would get stuck, which is a nice reassuring thing to know (haha). My mentor is great, and not only that, there's an entire Discord community there if you get stuck.
The course layout is impressive. At the end of a month on the course, you'll be building your own simple game.
I'm excited to see the course from HyperionDev will take me.

The software engineering bootcamp is full of exciting tasks and you learn quite a lot. Even though I am only in my second week in the software engineering bootcamp, I certainly do not regret choosing to study through hyperiondev. I would probably have lost interest studying through another school. It is definitely more fun than doing coding when studying toward a specific degree. You feel excited to code. You want to code non-stop which makes it enjoyable. The staff are friendly and always helpful. -

While searching for ways to quickly get a start in my coding career i came across Hyperion Dev, I checked out reviews and weighed all my options and the part that intrigued me the most was the fact that i could do it in 3 months. In doing so for someone who had some knowledge in java and python I found some the tasks challenging and with their whole mentor system it really helps to understand where you went wrong and what you can improve on as a software developer.
The entire bootcamp goes through a variety of different things and i was able to get through it with a great mentor and a well structured tasks to complete and they provide you with well thought out guides when learning new ways to do things such as IDEs or installing SQL and even do a better job at teaching it
It was a really great experience for me however a huge part of that was due to my great mentor

I started the HyperionDev program for full-stack web development on October 5th after some calls with the admissions rep and then someone from the career support department since I had a lot of concerns given web development would mean a career switch for me. They assured me that career support was guaranteed and that they had a placement rate of over 93%. The program will give you the basics of the MERN stack and although they sometimes state a certain subject will be covered in more detail in another section it sometimes isn't (they did some changes to the last section by the time I got there, so there seems it may be an issue with them updating their instructional pdfs). On a positive note, some of the lessons are quite challenging and will require additional research which enhances comprehension. I only had one mentor throughout the whole program and I ended up with mixed feelings, although he was helpful to overcome some hurdles there were other times where he simply stated he would investigate some more but never did (so those issues were left pending). I finished the program since March 2020 and started asking questions about career support and the next steps only to receive no replies as of April 14th. I emailed them five times to different people (one of those times they said it was due to a change in personnel, but I also didn't get a reply from the other person). On a last note, they project themselves as being international but their career support and writings seem directed only to South Africans, which would explain why once I finished they simply cut all support (aside from the lack of support post-graduation and no replies, I didn't get a mock interview or a portfolio review by their career support team like some of their last lessons state). PROS: Structured program that gives good starting points for additional research and helpful for those self-taught students that have a hard time knowing what to learn next. Mentors can assist with basic issues that new developers may stumble upon. CONS: Absolutely no career support, so if you're switching careers or thinking this bootcamp will help with employment avoid it. Mentorship feels strong in the early lessons but in more complex subjects there may be times when he doesn't know the answer and will be unable to provide it or he doesn't provide recommendations to improve the code complexity in his review. They take two weeks off during the holidays (which they don't make up for), so for those that take the program during the holidays they end up having two weeks less of support.Melanie of HyperionDev

This was my first experience going through a bootcamp and my first time learning a programming language. I must say choosing Hyperion Dev was a good choice, as the way they the pace you through the material made an otherwise daunting experience quite easy to adapt to and understand, the mentors are also there to assist all the time, which also made the journey quite an enjoyable one, the dashboard that they provide you with also assists you in tracking your progress throughout the bootcamp. The way the bootcamp is structured even though it is quite intense and you need to invest time into your studies, made it a very manageable process, and when you fall behind they quickly step in to ensure that you can still manage, I would recommend these programmes to any one aspiring to make a switch into tech, the assistance with building your brand is also a great innovation as well, as I am starting to get offers on Linkedin as we speak.

I have always had an eager interest in learning about coding so when I came across HyperionDev’s courses, I was really excited to explore it.
Hyperion allowed me to transform my dream to be able to learn and understand coding into a mind-blowing reality. The course offers an abundance of superior and high-quality practical coding skills, unlike many other conventional courses.
Additionally, the flexibility of the course is extremely convenient as it enables me to work at a time that is favorable and well-suited for me as I am employed full time.
Exploring and learning various skills through Hyperion has largely assisted me in my job, where I work as a technical Business Analyst. It empowered me to refine my knowledge and skills to be able to be more efficient and expand my expertise.

I am a single parent in my forties, and I lead a very busy day to day life. I knew absolutely nothing about coding and Hyperiondev made my bootcamp experience a very good one. I received excellent support from beginning till the end. Although I received one on one mentorship, the rest of the team also lend a helping hand when my mentor was not available. The way Hyperiondev breaks down the course material was phenomenal, because even though I didn't have any prior knowledge of coding, I could understand it. I learned how to code from day 1.
