When I first heard about Careerist, I knew this was the career path for me. Not being current on tech, I had my husband, who teaches Computer Science at a college level, review the Careerist website. He told me that it would be a good opportunity and experience.
After signing up, I found that being able to watch the lessons on your own schedule & pace was so helpful, not to mention being able to go back and rewatch them to fill in any blanks. This has been an easy course that is completed within a short amount of time, which fits my needs very well. Once the training has been completed, you jump right in to the internship, one internal, one external. The hands-on experience with real companies and daily stand-up meetings has been practical experience that boosted my confidence greatly in my ability to be successful in a job from the start. I received great instruction and feedback from the Leads on test cases and bug reports, which helped me improve the quality of my work quickly.
It would help if the instructors would read the questions from the chat messages very clearly. You can only get the gist of what the question is and fully understanding the answer if they do that, as you can't see the chat in the lesson replays. It would have been good to get hands-on experience with other aspects of manual QA like API and ChromeDev Tools.
I am very much looking forward to working with my mentor and the job preparation and search process in a week or so. -

I am currently a student at Careerist and at first I did not know what to expect from a program that is tailored specifically for the Sales Engineer role. But as I move through the course I find myself more motivated and confident in my ability to fill this role in tech. The information that is being given is priceless, from real industry professionals with 20 plus years in the industry. They are giving you real life tidbits you can use to stand out in the application/interview process. These are the things that you can not learn in a book or on Youtube. Being able to interact and ask questions to the instructors as well as your 1:1 mentor assures that you receive the help and answers you need. -

This was a great learning experience and my mentor was wonderfully helpful with any problems I encountered along the way. This is something that I believe everyone should go through if they really want to learn how to be a manual QA Engineer because it helped me prepare for everything you will experience as a QA in the tech industry. I came across Careerist after researching career fields where you make a good income and not stressful. I saw different courses however Careerist stood out to me. I decided to invest in myself and I took the leap and signed up. I will have to say I'm happy with my decision so far. The support team at Careerist are great .
They respond quickly when you have any question or having technical issues. My mentor was very active in my job search and stayed in contact with me on a every other week basis because that's what I preferred. It was very accommodating with my schedule. If you're on the fence I would say take the leap and invest in yourself! Careerist will give you the basics however you're going to have to put in the work like anything else in life. -

I was looking to break into Tech and I heard so many good things about Careerist so, I decided to get into their Manual QA program. The classes are at night 3 days a week which is great for people that work during the day and looking to pivot into Tech. Overall I liked everything that the program had to offer: the learning portion with the various instructors, the internship to help gain hands-on experience, and the mentorship to help you gain confidence and assistance during the job process. I definitely recommend the Manual QA program with Careerist! -

Wasn't sure what I was getting in to at first, but it was a great experience. They present a lot of information in a clear and understandable way. Staff is all supportive and very helpful. The internship was even better getting to use programs hands on that wasn't as overwhelming as I thought it would be. As each week passed I felt more and more comfortable moving forward in a manual QA career. -

I am a careerist student. I had no prior knowledge about QA. They taught me everything and now I am more confident. The nest part is someone is always there if you have a question. They will not move forward until your question is answered. I am almost done. My mentor is amazing, making sure I have all the tools needed to do well on my interviews. The internship was a great experience as well. I really felt like I was apart of the team. -

The instructors and mentors were always accessible and genuinely invested in our success, offering personalized feedback and support throughout the course.

The course will require outside information to solidify the knowledge but all the tools and opportunities are pointed to you to ensure you can gain it. -

I started to learn manual QA in September 2022 at Careerist, and Im very satisfied with this course (specially with our teacher Lana, she is amazing). Within 3 month you can become a IT specialist with high salary on market. So if you don't know how and where to start, this course is perfect for you. Careerist was everything I needed to switch careers in a time where everthing was pointing to starting something new (during covid). The instructors were excellent, the coursework was extremely do-able, and the support through the process was always accessible. I still review my notes today when I need to refer to a topic that pertains to my current position as QA. I still participate in the channels provided.
It is scary to switch gears after a long career in one field, and the support my mentor provided while job searching was incredible. I got a job not only applying everything I learned through the coursework, but it still pertains to the career I worked in for many years. Best of both worlds! -

Careerist is a great bootcamp for anyone looking to get into the tech space. The value you get is worth the money. The curriculum is very simple but will absolutely get anyone from zero to interview ready in no time. I was not in the tech industry and found the material easy to grasp. Also the fact that every class is live stream recorded and able to be watched the next day was beneficial for an on the road sales guy like myself. I would absolutely recommend Careerist. -

I took a Manual QA course in 2021 and have started a job working as a software tester the following year. Careerist provides you with a good starting base knowledge to get into the software testing field. Instructors were very experienced, during the classes they always made sure all was well explained. Mentors were very helpful throughout the whole process of the job search which I appreciate. If you want to land a tech job quickly, this course is for you. You don't need to have an IT background; all you need is to put effort and time into studying on your own. Online classes were helpful, but you need to do a lot of self-study. I landed a job in a month with the help of mentoring and interview preparation. My mentor kept me accountable, and the internship projects were helpful in gaining practical skills. I highly recommend this course. -

I graduated from Careerist Academy last year. It was an excellent experience working with a team both academically and comfortably. The schedule and curriculum were very convenient. The content and structure of the lessons were well-organized and easy to learn. Teachers and mentors are professional and supportive. After finishing the course I had amazing and helpful support from my mentor during my job search. I was advised on resume creation and step-by-step job searching. The course is taught by professionals who have many years of experience and knowledge in the field of QA. It only required 2 hours of commitment 5 days a week (if I remember correctly) during the time I was taking the course. Additionally, everything was remote work. The instructors were very kind and informational. They'll answer your questions and concerns. When I signed up for the course I did the Manual QA bundle. I didn't use the Job Application Service (JAS) 'cause I didn't need to. JAS is limited with how long they'll provide assistance so just heads up. What I loved the most about the bundle was gaining real work experience through an internship(s) and having a mentor upon completing your internship(s). I can't speak for others and their experience, but my mentor did a great job with providing me with assistance and guidance. It took me some time before getting hired, but it was due to the impact of the recession. Other than that, careerist prepared me well. Do keep in mind that at the end of the day, you must follow the advice of your instructors/mentor and be ready to put in the work. I found careerist to be resourceful and beneficial to my learning path. Others may disagree in regards to their circumstances, but everyone's experience is different at the end of the day. -

The Manual QA course is very easy to follow and the instructors and mentors are very friendly and passionate about your success. I would recommend this course to anyone who is interested in Software Quality Insurance and IT and its worth the investment because the money you'll make will be much more than the cost of the course. -

I wanted to change my career and work in IT industry, so I took Manual QA course and completed all lessons and its' tasks.
Not only I learned how to use various tools, but I also had chance to apply my learnings into the internships in the end of course.
While consolidating and practicing all that I learned, I began applying to relevant jobs. Finally 3 months later, I found my first QA job.
The course gave me the key points and knowledge to carry on at the professional work environment.
I recommend it to all who wants to change sectors or begin a journey in a QA role. -
