Intro to Sales Engineering
Read more Read less of Anonymous's review
I recently completed the online sales engineer course and I am absolutely thrilled with the experience! The comprehensive curriculum covered everything from the basics of sales engineering to advanced strategies for success. The instructors were knowledgeable, engaging, and provided real-world examples that made complex concepts easy to understand. The online format was incredibly convenient, allowing me to learn at my own pace and review material as needed. The course materials were well-organized and easy to follow, making it simple to grasp new ideas and build my skills. What impressed me most was the emphasis on practical application - we were encouraged to work on real-world projects and case studies, which helped me develop a strong portfolio of work that I can use to showcase my abilities. Overall, I feel much more confident in my ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders and I'm excited to apply my new skills in my career. -

I am enjoying the Careerist Bootcamp; I completed the Manual QA course and began with Automation Training. However, you also need to do self-learning and keep up with the determination
I am currently still learning, I have completed an ISTQB certification, which can make me stand out as well. Furthermore, the Internship gave me a bit of confidence in handling tight deadlines.
Instructors are helpful, and customer service is top-tier.
Note: you need to do extra work while learning, they have enough information to get you a job.

Max is an excellent teacher and leader. Although my internship was held virtually, it felt as though I was in a physical classroom. I was originally nervous but made it through. I am proud to say that I enjoyed being Max’s student! -

Disappointing Experience
Read more Read less of Anonymous's review
I recently had an unfortunate encounter with Careerist Bootcamp, and I must say that my experience was extremely disappointing. I joined the program with high hopes and expectations of gaining valuable career skills and guidance, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a scam.
From the beginning, there were red flags that I should have recognized. The promises made during the recruitment process seemed too good to be true, and I should have been more cautious. The bootcamp claimed to provide comprehensive job placement assistance and guaranteed career success, but in reality, it was nothing more than empty promises.
Once enrolled, I quickly realized that the program lacked substance and failed to deliver on its commitments. The curriculum was poorly structured and lacked depth. The instructors lacked expertise and were unable to provide meaningful guidance or support. The promised networking opportunities and connections with industry professionals were non-existent.
To make matters worse, when I attempted to reach out to the program's support team for assistance or clarification, I was met with unresponsiveness and indifference. It became evident that their main objective was to take my money rather than genuinely help me in my career development.
As a result of this experience, I not only wasted my time and energy but also lost a significant amount of money. It is disheartening to see that there are dishonest organizations preying on individuals who are genuinely seeking to improve their careers.
I strongly advise anyone considering Careerist to proceed with extreme caution. Do thorough research, seek reviews from reliable sources, and be skeptical of any program that makes extravagant promises without concrete evidence of their effectiveness.

Misleading
Read more Read less of Anonymous's review
This is an overpriced course which you can learn online on your own. Everything that is taught in this bootcamp is common sense. I titled this as “misleading” because the sales reps pitch things that are not even offered once you start the course (I.e., the automated JAS system). According to the sales reps JAS was supposed to apply for companies on my behalf, which is a major selling point, however, once you finish the course you notice that this isn’t true. The JAS system only gathers a bunch of jobs, which you could find on other platforms like LinkedIn, Glassdoor, etc.; however, you have to submit the applications yourself.
Another thing the sales team failed to communicate was the “internship”. The internship is not really an internship. It’s more like an additional 4 weeks of regular class. ITS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. You literally breakout in small groups and pretend to be in a meeting with your peers…
Had I known all this I would have went with a different bootcamp that is a lot cheaper and can get me a job in tech.Farida of Careerist

Sales Engineering Training is a rip off
Read more Read less of Anonymous's review
I enrolled in the Sales Engineering Program for $3,250 in January 2023. The positives- the teachers are seasoned Sales Engineers and the other students are very nice. The cons- you will not have enough technical skills to get hired as an SE after completing their program. Please don't let social media stars tell you you will be able to; they were hired during the pandemic. The market is full of new SE's trying to find jobs. Back to Careerist- It is more like an intro SE course, but they don't tell you that. Careerist acts like you will be able to get an SE job right away when you have your first appointment/phone call to pay for the course. The course slides are not anything you can't Google or find on YouTube. There is no homework. Everyone passes the end of class mock interview and 5-10 minute student demo presentation. They pretend like you won't pass but you will. The non-tech "mentors" do not provide any tech insight and give wrong advice by asking you to lie on your resume saying you have skills that you do not. My Careerist group had 70+ people and not one of us have gotten an SE job in 4 months. I reached out to previous groups from the November and December cohorts and they haven't found SE jobs either. A handful of them have gotten jobs in Tech sales not SE. The price for the class is not worth it. They sell you a dream but you will NOT be able to get an SE job simply by taking the Careerist bootcamp even if you have a college degree. The contract they ask you to sign prevents you from suing them or filing a class action law-suit against them. Trust me we want to sue! They also use current Careerist students during the "internship" to sign up new students every cohort. They coach you on how to convince new students to sign up to pay. The internship did not teach us anything new that the classes did not. Dont go into debt to take this program. There are cheaper programs you can find and free resources on LinkedIn. Currently, Sales Engineers need hands-on experience of 3-5 years to get hired. This bootcamp will not be enough. I 100% wish I could get my money back. -

I recently completed the "Python QA Automation Engineer" course on Careerist, and I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the course material and the instruction. The course is designed for anyone with a basic knowledge of Python who wants to learn how to apply it to QA automation. The course is also very hands-on, which I found to be very helpful. Throughout the course, there are numerous exercises and assignments that help you apply what you've learned. Additionally, the instructors are available to provide support and answer any questions you may have. One of the things I appreciated most about this course was the focus on industry-relevant tools and technologies. For example, the course covers the use of Selenium WebDriver, all of which are commonly used in QA automation.Overall, I highly recommend the "Python QA Automation Engineer" course on Careerist. It's a comprehensive and practical resource for anyone looking to build their QA automation skills using Python. The instructors are knowledgeable and engaging, and the course is well worth the investment. -

Pretty Good

I'll review this course in two parts:
Part 1 - The Instructors/Mentors
The instructors are the best part of this course. Their backgrounds are different, and their ages vary, but the care they show is fantastic. They often stayed hours after the official class ended to answer questions; this is where most of the learning starts. Then there were the mentors, each of whom was fantastic. They helped with the tedious nature of building a resume & gave great feedback on how to improve. However, there is one caveat, be sure to ask what their ratio of students to instructors/mentors is. While the people are great, they can only do so much & if they have a 50:1 balance when you sign up, you won't get the care/time/attention you deserve.
Part 2 - The Curriculum
The material could be more groundbreaking. However, there are few assignments & the workload is more than manageable if you have a full-time job or kids. That said, the information is a little more profound than a Google Search but is still helpful/necessary to speak the language of a Sales Engineer. -

Interesting, but can be better.
I felt like the lessons could have taught more. There was a solid amount of information, but manual QA has so many avenues that their current curriculum isn't enough. The instructors did a good job with their lesson plan. I feel like the mentors do the most. They're very helpful with the entire process. -

I'm very very happy with Careerist Bootcamp! My three friends who graduated from Careerist, all found jobs after they completed the program! As everyone recommended this bootcamp, I decided to give it a try even though I was not really interested in IT. In Careerist, everything is structured, comfortable, and easy to understand! In my case, I was studying while I was working, so combining a bootcamp with my job was extremely easy. The staff are friendly and provide excellent knowledge along with support, and after you finish the internship, you'll have your own mentor who will guide you throughout the whole process until you find a job. Whether you have any doubts or questions, Careerist's staff will handle everything in a professional manner. Lastly and most importantly: I got hired! -

I started Careerist to have a refresher in Software Manual Testing, but my main goal was Automation testing.
So far, my experience has been good. The instructors are knowledgeable and they make incredible efforts of answering all students questions and some even code on the fly, while still covering the material.
I've already complete a internship with them (on the Manual part of the course), and now I'm starting another one, on the automated side.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed, as this one will be challenging! -

Nice and Flexible
I have been to other boot camps and they were either too fast pace or too slow. I appreciate the flexibility that was given to us as I didn't have to drop everything to attend the classes and I could go at my own pace.
The instructors are very nice and will answer your questions and they genuinely feel like they want to help you learn. -

Manual QA course was very good instructors were very good as well. Internship was very helpful being able to apply the knowledge and skills gained throughout course. Although mentors are helpful with answering questions and giving direction it's been very difficult finding work almost one year later. -

Careerist had a strong curriculum and knowledgeable instructors. This was essential for my successful learning experience, and this is especially true for a sales engineering bootcamp. A well-designed curriculum, coupled with experienced instructors who are passionate about the field, can make all the difference in helping students to achieve their goals and succeed in the competitive world of sales engineering. -

Awesome experience with Careerist. Before I found careerist it was difficult for me to juggle family life and a career in the healthcare field. Careerist was God sent. Thank you to the team, the program was detailed and will equip you with all the necessary skills to land your first tech job. But you need to be ready to be coachable and willing to dedicate some time to learn and put in the work for the skills you are equipped with on the Bootcamp. -

I had NO tech background at all. I came from face to face sales. Careerist mad it easy, detailed, and I had all the support I could need. I followed their plan, did the work, and was hired for the perfect job for my situation...in just 70 days. Everyone at Careerist I dealt with was extremely knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful, and the Mentor Program was a lifesaver! The Job Search Assistant makes finding and applying for the right jobs as easy as possible. If you are considering a change in career and aren't sure if the tech field is for you, I highly encourage you to check out Careerist before you decide. -

Great experience with Careerist.
My experience with Careerist was great, I watched the playback of the online classes during the day and worked at night. After graduation it took about two months to land the position I study for. My mentor helped me along the way with tips and resume building, I highly recommend careerist. -

It Is because manual QA course was so exceptional that I decided to also sign up for automation QA course. Making a career switch can be so difficult but careerist is created in a way to benefit you as the job seeker in the best way possible and to make that switch possible and successful. The course is created to assist with all the most important information that can be used from day one on the job. There are endless sources of education and resources to assist anyone willing to learn. Instructors are extremely patient and helpful, always there to answer any questions that may come about. In addition to educational wealth of information, there is also assistance with navigating the job market with preparation for the interview, assistance with the resume to name a few. I highly recommend this course if you are absolutely serious about making a career change and would like the process to be efficient and successful. Thank you careerist so very much for everything!! -

If you are like me you saw a video from Cyrus Harbin that sparked your interest in Tech Sales. Day one the classes are open to the public we had around 300 people attend during my cohort. The instructor Nigel gave us all a pep talk about how this was going to change our lives etc. Nigel just recently moved on to start his own boot camp. Every class we watch a 1 hour PowerPoint where the instructor talks vaguely about the topic and then opens the door for questions. We only got HW 1 time. There is a final interview and Demo that you CAN NOT FAIL, no matter how terrible you do. You will be offered software that fills in applications for you but you still have to sit there and click the boxes so it's not very helpful. I would NOT recommend this program. Cyrus himself has been laid off from his job and has moved on to marketing. You will have around 70-100 people in your class. The chat is filled with jokes and newbies giving everyone a pep talk about how we are all going to be blessed and rich soon. I think a lot of the forex crowd has jumped into this career path. They are now giving people 60% off, even with that its not worth the money. This is a 100 udemy course AT BEST. oh yea and every Thursday your class is just a group meeting where you can ask questions.Farida of Careerist

Great course! If you're looking for a career change and interested in going into the Tech field without a technical degree or prior tech experience then this opportunity is for you. If you are looking for a quick fix, walk away now. This is a great opportunity if you are willing to put in the work, the courses are well done, and the instructors a great and willing to help! I learned all I needed to get into this field, and their mentors know what they are walking about, so just do as they say. The job search to enter the QA field is not for the faint of heart, it's hard, and job searching is hard in general, BUT entering a new career field is not any easier. So with that said, If you are willing to put the work in, and not give up this course/ opportunity could be life-changing. It was for me. -

This program definitely changed my life...I started out with the manual course which gave me foundational hands on experience. While working with my mentor Anastasia I was able to land my first QA job. Then I did the python course for 1 month and went ahead to complete the automation course with Lana. The automation course was super intense! but with a lot of practice and the help of Jefferson -great guy! I now have a lot of Confidence in this QA field getting paid way more than I ever imagined. My advice to any one about to take the course is that you also have to prepare your mind to rise up to the challenge, dedicate time to study more because you will get all the information, tools, tricks and methodologies you need to land that job. How you use it depends on you. -

A bit scammy
Read more Read less of Anonymous's review
I started the carrerist program late September of 2022 and they promised a mentor and to help you find a job after. They also state they will teach you how to become a sales engineer within the program. Everything they teach can be googled. The mentors are not mentors at all like never been in tech never been sales engineers and barely speak English. The falsely advertise they DO NOT DO NOT help you find jobs at all they used a system called “Jaz” that is inconvenient does not help you and also you have to do all the work for it and even then they tried to not give us Jaz by the end of the course until we as a group had to all state that we paid for it and then JAZ ended up being trash and useless anyway. The instructors Charles (Ami and Nigel who have since left) are amazing instructors but the program itself it’s scammy. Don’t do it course careers has much more success cheaper and also they work with companies to get you a job! -

I got involved with the careerist course in 2022 after some major personal struggles and I was so excited at the idea of changing my career. I was so excited that this course was going to help me not just get the knowledge but get the job too. I was so sure that they were going to help me turn my life around with the job search assistance program and I was so sorely disappointed. The reality I found was that 1) Careerist charged me 4000 dollars for stuff I later found online is the same at allifoundation.com & Udemy.com for way cheaper 2) The job assistance program will help you put in 5 applications a day when they tell you that you should really apply for 20 a day so who are they helping & 3) my mentor was rude disconnected and rarely kept our appointments, and when I complained he said he'd have another mentor appointed to me which never happened. I just got lost in support emails and phone calls on hold. I would say not all that glitters is gold guys. They put up a good front but you'd be much better off studying the info on your own online. I thought I could never get the right knowledge just searching it up on my own. Paying that much sure made me feel worthy like I had the right stuff when I'd apply, but you don't get it yet. They give out interviews because they need the people not because of the class you took. I had an interview once where my interviewer told me he had never heard of my bootcamp but it didn't matter cause I knew my stuff. Doing a comparison after having taken the class, it really wasn't worth it. -

I Don’t Recommend Careerist Bootcamp
Read more Read less of Anonymous's review
I learned of the bootcamp on Instagram from Cyrus Harbin. The actual bootcamp did not meet any of my expectations. The course is fast-paced with no structure. The instructors read from slides every night and they don’t prepare you for the demo and job interview that you must pass to graduate. Nigel (one of the better instructors) left. The company seems to be focusing on money more than helping students land SE jobs because the Job Application Tracking system barely works and is not free. I only know one person from our class of about 70 people that has gotten a job. There’s a huge language barrier with the mentors that they sat you up with and they have never done the job or worked in tech. I wish I had taken the $400 course that Cyrus mentioned because I’ve seen SO MUCH more success from that program. -

I signed ISA with Careerist former Job Easy, hoping they would teach well and provide support in job search. On their web site it was saying they provide 1:1 support, which is not true. They have mentors, who tells you how to apply. But the actual questions that are asked during the interviews are not answered 1:1. I got a job but not because of them , because I had sessions with a private tutor not from Careerist. They have a chat and if you have questions you have to post it in the chat so that everybody can see and enjoy questions you had during the interview. Max G. keeps providing information about how easy it is to get a job if you follow his instructions)) Bullshit!! It’s not easy. They just send you as a mass onto the market and tell you keep applying. The same knowledge you can get from Udemy. They also change information on the website and are less promising in their description than before. They don’t do anything for you to get a job, whatever you need, you have to search for it and Google)). I have to pay percentage from my income for 24 months. The reality is 2-3 out of 10 will find a job! These are the real figures. Don’t be full, but a course on Udemy, find a great private tutor who will be ready to answer your questions. They will not provide you support , they will only collect money. And search for reviews in forums, where real students leave their reviews.Farida of Careerist
