Don’t skip classes and the rest will be fine

The biggest mistake I made was skipping online classes. 😬 I had no tech experience and I took the QA bundle. I struggled to catch up with the rest of the group. When I put more effort into my studies I began to perform much better. The teachers were super helpful. They explained both the tech part and the career part in detail. They were always patient and positive. I recommend this course to anyone who wants to study diligently. -

I had my ups and downs during my studies. Some things weren’t easy to understand. Sometimes I didn’t have enough time because I also work full-time. I wish the teachers and career coaches could spend more time with me... Anyway, I’m happy that I graduated and learned so much useful info! For now I’ve had only one job interview and they didn’t hire me. I’m staying optimistic and keeping on searching! -

I’ve been studying systems engineering for 2 months and my perception of this occupation has changed considerably… It turned out to be more difficult and exciting than I imagined. They say that generally people study 6-8 hours per week on this course, but for me it takes around 10 hours because I want to memorize every single detail and I practice a lot on my own. Hopefully I will keep enjoying it until graduation. -

I wish I had joined Careerist earlier
I began to think about online tech courses two years ago. First I lacked money and then I wasn’t sure which course to choose. Now I’m about to complete the Systems Engineering course at Careerist. I haven’t found a job yet but I’ve talked to graduates who are employed and they inspire me. Career coaching is so comprehensive so I’m not too worried about the job search. -

Career coaching was the best part

I haven't worked for the last 10 years because I have small kids and I had no technical background, so I was quite nervous at the beginning of the course. Surprisingly the tech part of the studies was the easiest for me. I enjoyed doing the tasks and receiving feedback! The instructors said I was a quick learner, :) but I felt a bit insecure because I didn't know how to deal with employers. My career coach helped me a lot, she was absolutely brilliant! She explained everything to me and I rehearsed the interview. Now it’s time to start looking for a job. -

The only thing I don’t like about careerist is the price! However, other providers charge just as much or even more... I borrowed funds to buy a course and I felt nervous because I wasn’t sure if this investment would pay off. But it seems it will! I spent 7 weeks after graduation looking for jobs. I had no results but then two companies invited me for an interview at the same time. Now I’m waiting for responses. If none of them accepts me I know I will find something, but of course it takes time. -

Up-to-date and informative
I’ve recently finished the course and now I can share my experience. In general it was great. I appreciated the well-structured curriculum and large amount of applied and up-to-date information. No boring, outdated theory, only practical advice and real cases. I can't say anything about employment yet but I really liked the content of the course. -

Ive enjoyed my time spent studying and learning with Careerist. These mentors have real life experience and valuable insight that can’t be overlooked. I genuinely feel they want to see everyone succeed and will make sure you’re understanding in order to be successful. Come to Careerist with the mindset to put work into improving yourself while acquiring some skills on top of it. -

It was quite a challenge but I made it
I studied UX/UI design at Careerist. Ufff, that was tough! I had to completely change my approach to design. I thought it would be more about creativity, but it was about profit first of all. Careerist taught me how to design not for self-expression but for business. These guys are so pragmatic and I trust them. -

My employer offered me a test period of 2 months. I did the first one well and I got my first paycheck. The boss says that I have good testing skills and I got them at Careerist! It took me about 3 months or so to get employed. In the first month I sent out quite few job applications. Starting with the second month I began to do it every day and eventually got a job. Careerist tutors taught me how to apply properly. Thanks!!! -

Got a job thanks to Careerist
I learned manual QA just for fun. I collected a portfolio and began to apply for jobs but no one wanted me! I asked the employers for feedback but nobody replied. ☹️ So then I enrolled for the course. At careerist, they explained what I did wrong. I finally got a job two weeks before graduation. I think I was the first person in my group who got hired!! -

I’m studying ux/ui design and I’m enjoying it!! I already know how to use figma and slack. The biggest revelation for me was maze - it helps you research your audience and make data-driven decisions. The instructors teach us how to handle practical tasks and give just the necessary minimum of theory. We have instructors from meta, airbnb and google! And later we’ll have an internship and make a portfolio! -

I completed the manual QA course. I graduated three weeks ago and now I’m actively looking for a job. I use jas, linkedin and job boards. I had two interviews (one from jas and the other from linkedin) and one job offer. A startup almost hired me but they wanted me to work remotely and I don’t feel 100% confident for that yet… I want a hybrid job so that I can watch how more experienced testers work. So I had to decline their offer. Some might say I’m reckless but I’m not in a hurry and I want to find the perfect job. -

Hope to find a good job after graduation
I’m halfway through the sales engineering course. I’m combining it with a part-time job and tbh I thought it would be more difficult! Actually it’s not that hard. I really like the teachers and how they deliver the information. I can’t wait to try the Job Application Service! So far, it seems to me this course is worth the money I paid. -

I joined the manual QA course to start a new life. Recently I’ve completed it. I found the course structure well-paced and the content comprehensive. The instructors' clear expertise and real-world examples truly helped me grasp the concepts. While a tad challenging at times, the course has significantly boosted my confidence in QA testing. It's never too late to learn, and this course proves that. -

I’ve been working as a manual tester for nearly three years, so I understand this job a bit.
To expand my career opportunities, I completed the QA Automation course at Careerist. Probably, I could have learned some things on my own. But it’s always great to get advice from experienced tech pros. Plus, I got a formal certificate, which is essential for some companies that I’d like to apply to. -

I chose Careerist over other the six platforms that I considered.
First, I made a spreadsheet where I compared all the options. Then, I got in touch with the teams of all the platforms to assess how they communicate and answer questions. In the final standings, Careerist scored two points higher than the runner-up. I’m halfway through the UX course now and I don’t regret my choice at all. -

Great way to start your tech career!
Right now I’m in the internship program, and I have nothing but great things to say about careerist ! The instructors are well educated and great at explaining what we are doing as a Manual QA. I’ll leave another review once I land that tech job! -

I studied Sales Engineering at Careerist and it was the first online course that I completed.
I felt nervous in the beginning. But in the second week already, I felt that the process was completely under control! I loved the pace of my studies and the commitment of the teachers. It was a valuable experience and I greatly appreciated career advice. -

Awesome experience!
The course was very helpful as well as all of the instructors involved. Clear instructions were given, tests, and quizzes helped to retain the information. The intership portion of the program really helped my growth and skills as a Manual QA. I’m looking forward to the job search and starting my career as a Manual QA. -

Fantastic Manual QA Bootcamp - Careerist

Not only is this Bootcamp affordable but it was extremely informative, educational and practical. They have well structured Live lessons ( that are also recorded if you cannot attend the live session) that teach you the required theory but also have great practical hands on exercises (homework) that help to build a foundation for the skills you'll acquire and the industry leading tools that you'll be using. They also offer 2 internships so that once you've completed all the classes you'll be ready to hit the open job market with actual real life experience for your Resume/CV. They also provide Career Coaches to help you focus on successfully landing that first job in Manual QA. I have and would continue to recommend this program to anyone looking to break into this amazing field. -

Comfortable payment plan
I couldn’t afford the full tuition fee upfront. I asked several course providers to offer personalized payment plans for me and Careerist offered the most comfortable option. After completing the system engineering course, I got my first job rather easily but left it in two months. It took me 11 weeks to find a perfect job enabling me become a digital nomad. I feel free and happy now. -

Max was awesome, during the course it got confusing. He had patience and helped me understand the topic clearly. My suggestion is to ask the instructors for help, don't be scared to ask. Just try your best and be consistent everyday -

I’m currently in the external internship phase. Careerist has done an amazing job going step by step with me, gaining the knowledge to become a player in this tech world. I started with no clue, and now I’m close to being able to apply and land a work from home job. Family and traveling is something I’ve always wanted to do. Thanks to Careerist, I can be able to work on the go. With no worries of a
on-site job putting in for vacation. -

IMHO, Job Application Service is more helpful than job boards
I chose Careerist because of its custom Job Application Service. I saw how my cousin used it and I decided I wanted it too. I studied manual QA and thanks to JAS, I finally got a job. I sent around 40 applications and had two job interviews before finding my current employer.

I really liked every bit of this course. The learning phase was very easy and understandable. I mean, everyone can start and become great at this. This course and this people allow you to have the best knowledge, best practice and what's most important, everything is up to date. Every material, every tutor is from this time period. Everyone is still in this job and they give you the material that is relevant for today. I think you just have to trust me, and just start. You will not be disappointed I can guarantee it! -

I wasn’t sure how I could become a real QA tester if I studied only 6-8 hours per week. Now, I realize that for me it’s the best format for studying as I can keep working. When I study, I can properly concentrate and I don’t get exhausted. I especially like Maria and Justin, they’re really talented teachers! I decided to leave this review after I had my first mockup interview. I made so many mistakes and now I know how to avoid them. Besides, I missed many important aspects when trying to fill in my LinkedIn profile on my own and I needed help to improve it.

Thank you, it’s a great course!
I joined the Systems Engineering course with only basic computer skills. I can confirm that such a low level of competence is enough to get started. The teachers are very articulate and attentive to detail. They make everyone feel confident and psychologically comfortable. It’s just as important as explaining how to use various tools.

I have no tech experience and I got tired of my current sphere, so my husband who’s working in QA recommended Careerist to me based on the opinions of his colleagues. Now I’m learning and sometimes I ask him to assess my skills and knowledge. So far, he’s proud of me :) He says Careerist knows how to prepare students for work. Personally, I love that teachers share large amounts of useful information with us without overloading us mentally and emotionally.

I completed the Sales Engineering course. Previously, I was a sales rep in b2b business and then in ed tech. What the Careerist team taught me was very different from the traditional sales techniques. My new job doesn’t imply selling products but finding ways of improving them. I fell in love with this occupation during the discovery & research stage of the internship simulator. While I was studying a startup wanted to hire me. But I preferred to work for a more stable business and this is what I’m doing now

The course material is well organized and delivered in small doses. This allows for a high-level of comprehension and understanding of the subject matter for students. Sometimes the instruction can be confusing at times but after clarification and further explanation, it gets better. The instructors are awesome at responding to your questions. The course starts out with some background on the concept of Manual QA and the employment outlook. By week two you are introduced to main testing types, and bug classification, After all of the concepts/theory you move into creating test cases and bug reports. Those are the two main tasks you will be performing as QA engineer. After several projects, quizzes and self study...you're ready for your 2 internships. The first one is internal with Careerist and the second one is an external internship with a real company, doing actual tasks that emulate what you'll be doing in the real world. Lastly, comes the career coaching part of the boot camp which definitely is designed to set you up for success. All of this within a span of 15 weeks! Worth the money! Do it! -

I have currently completed my coursework with Careerist as well as my first internal project. What a great experience! All the instructors are experienced, passionate and excellent at helping their students learn the material. Like many others just starting, I was not confident at first but after my first internship I know I can do the work. All you have to do is follow their instructions. I am excited to start my real world internship next week. After that I will be placed with a mentor who will help me land a job. I can't believe I didn't even know about Manual QA a few months ago! I highly recommend Careerist to anyone who may be on the fence. -

I love that the Manual QA course was set up with the idea that anyone could follow it regardless of their prior experience. You can really see how much work has been put into organizing the learning process properly.
The most impressive thing is that the tutors for the courses are not just ordinary teachers who only work for the money. All the instructors I’ve met during my 2 courses (Manual & Automation QA) are actually working elsewhere within the spheres they teach. Receiving knowledge from experienced practitioners that have a passion for their job is the most effective, IMHO! Another really important thing about the course is that tutors help with your resume and Linkedin profile after graduation.
And last but not least… I’m so happy I met some fantastic people in my group. Thank you all!
