I started with minimal experience in HTML, CSS, and javascript. This Software Engineering course allowed me to establish a solid foundation working with those languages and more. They have a career program consisting of several lectures which must be attended completely in order for you to receive support after the camp. In those lessons you learn about how to make yourself look like the best candidate for a new job. The foundation you establish in your course work actually helps you be the best candidate. The Educators and TAs take pride in their work and it shows. They are incredibly helpful and encouraging. The course itself is challenging for sure! If you are looking to take the course, the best advice i can give you is to ask lots of questions to your TAs and Classmates. My course included 3 hackathons which were definitely the biggest parts of my growth. They are challenging and lead to a lot of skill growth through application of learned material. -

Going into this bootcamp, I thought I would nail it. But my knowledge and skills were tested early on! The content and project feedback were detailed and gave me insights into what I excelled at and where I needed to improve. While the long hours and intensive deliverables were a big challenge, the education team was encouraging and supportive the entire time. They clearly know their stuff and kept the energy up. I can't believe how far I have come since starting the Software Engineering Bootcamp at BrainStation. It's hard to imagine that only 3 months ago I had no knowlege what so ever about developing software, now I can create dynamic web pages with a good looking front-end and a secure and scalable back-end aswell as had the pleasure of getting to know some amazing people both on the education team and other classmates in my course. The concepts they introduced in this data science bootcamp is so vast and practical .
I would say clear up everything on your schedule before you go into this bootcamp and have some basic understanding of math concepts and programming ,then you will be able to do a lot more and you can show case your skills on your capstone project and you can demo your capstone on demo day . From here on you will be interested to work on your own projects and it is like your own ideas into sample projects. -

I signed up for an online 2.5-month Data Analytics course with BrainStation in the fall of 2023. Before I signed up, the salesperson promised that the course was for beginners and that after finishing the course, I'd have a great portfolio to show off on my resume and stand out and receive a job. They also said I'd get support from the community of BrainStation graduates and another participant to work on my resume and find a job. Two instructors were supposed to help us learn about data analysis. During the course, the instructors met once a week between 6:30 pm and 9:30 pm. But instead of explaining concepts themselves, both instructors mostly read from a script quickly, attempting to cover as many slides as possible. The course was not for beginners; it required prerequisite knowledge that the course material did not include. At times, instructors didn't have enough time to cover all the material, so they instructed us to search for additional information on Google I found that other online courses on popular platforms like Linkedln and Udemy, which were less expensive, provided me with more useful instruction than the Data Analytics course from BrainStation, despite its high cost. We were given two weeks to finish our portfolios, which were supposed to be valuable for marketing ourselves. But when it came time to show our portfolios, the instructors only looked at them briefly during the last class. They didn't respond to my messages about the portfolios and requested to provide a professional overview based on the course material they taught. The student support was not much of the help either claiming that their instructors are busy professionals. The BrainStation alumni group was supposed to help us too, but they didn't respond to any of my posts published with the group. Overall, the course didn't live up to what was promised. The instructors weren't very helpful, and neither was the alumni community. I didn't get the support I was expecting, and I didn't learn as much as I hoped I would. I would not recommend anyone who seeks professional development in Data Analytics to study it with BrainStation. -

I thought the BrainStation Data Analytics 8-week course was well done. Now that it's over I am glad we reviewed everything we did, but I will say that during the course, it felt like we were moving at lightning speed. I included this in my mid-course feedback, but think that during the course, I could have used more smaller, actionable pieces of homework, and ideally the opportunity to review them as a group (instead of just sending an answer key). The instructors were great and everyone was very engaged. -

My instructors aurora and carlos help us throughout the whole process, the course gives you introductory knowledge of marketing and goes in depth into some of the topics. I found it especially helpful in the topics of google ads, analytics and SEO. The course also reviews topics like influencer marketing and social media. -

If you have a little or some foundation in programming before, I highly recommend you to come to this bootcamp, although the course is very intense, but it can really give you a rough knowledge system in this short three months, together with those hands on projects, it will let you quickly understand the corresponding concepts and knowledge more efficiently than watching online tutorials to learn on your own.
But if you really have zero knowledge of programming and have never even heard of any of the most basic concepts, I would recommend that you go online and watch some of the most basic introductory videos before attending this bootcamp because, like I mentioned, the course schedule is really tight and it's really easy to fail to keep up with the progress and feel frustrated if you come to bootcamp with a blank slate of this side of your brain.

The Product Management course led by Guy Walker and George Odiana exceeded my expectations. Coming from a marketing background, I was brand new to this topic and slightly apprehensive about whether I would 'get it' and whether I could really succeed in an online course (it's been years since I've taken any kind of course, I was rusty). My concerns were quickly squashed by Guy and Walker who delivered the material in an incredibly thorough and engaging manner, allowing the class to participate freely throughout the sessions and answering all of our questions without judgement. Our class was comprised of students from all over the globe, and as we progressed through the weeks and became more comfortable with one another, it truly felt like we were back in school with our peers . Throughout the 8 weeks, I was able to apply some key learnings from this course to my current role and I know I will continue to do so as I continue down my career path, wherever that may take me. I can honestly say I would recommend this course to anyone who is not only curious about Product Management but about continuing education in general. The knowledge obtained was only surpassed by the confidence I gained throughout these two months, proving to myself that it's never too late to learn something new :) -

Coming from an Interior Design background with no experience in Software Engineering, this program was amazing. Although I have to admit this is not for beginners, a person needs to have at least some experience to fully absorb all the content due to the pace of the program! On the other hand, you learn to learn faster and not to fixate on what you do not know because EVERYTHING is reviewed. I'm proud to say I have completed the Software Engineering Bootcamp and will continue my education in the future.

I completed the online part-time Software Engineering program over 8 months. The content and pacing were great! They don't call it a "bootcamp" for nothing. In the part-time program, you need to devote 40 hours per week; not easy when you already work 40+ hours per week. I would recommend this to anyone, but definitely would not do it again. -

I came into the online Full-Time Data Science Bootcamp at BrainStation with little to no code experience. From the start, the course was rigorous and thorough. Being stressed was an understatement and right away I was sure there was no way I could do this stuff (especially because many of my peers had coding experience). Fortunately, I worked hard and had amazing teachers that helped me get through the first week. Then again the following week, and the next. The program never got much easier, but before I knew it the program was over and I was freestyling python code and creating machine learning models like it was nobody's business. The curriculum and teachers of my course were terrific, I couldn't ask for better. The course went at just the right pace (like running too fast, but at a survivable pace). I also feel supported to get a job now. It was worth the expensive tuition. Thank you BrainStation.
