I recently completed the AI and Machine Learning course from the University of Texas at Austin through Great Learning, and I was quite happy with both the course content and the support provided. The curriculum was well-structured, covering key AI and machine learning concepts with a good balance of theory and practical applications. The support team was excellent throughout the six months, always responsive and quick to address any queries, whether related to coursework, technical issues, or platform navigation. They provided timely assistance, ensuring a smooth learning experience. The mentors were knowledgeable and approachable, offering valuable insights during live sessions and discussions. The platform was also user-friendly, making it easy to track progress and access study materials. Overall, the course met my expectations, and the strong support system made a significant difference in making the learning journey seamless and engaging.

Wonderful experience in learning AI/ML course covered by Great Learning in partnership with The university of Texas at Austin. Course material was good enough to provide a launchpad to IT professionals. It provided me an opportunity to collate the topics and take a deeper dive through well designed hands-on opportunity and corresponding Projects. I am thankful to all the guidance i was able to get during the course and made the entire learning so lucid .  

l did not have any experience in programming when l enrolled in the post graduate program in AIML with Austin Texas. My initial fear was l will not fit in. From the word go with started with python foundation. The videos, mentored session and personal mentor eased my learning process. l felt belonged. Information is readily available, and the learner platform is the very interactive and user friendly. The program is well organized.

The PGP-AIML program has been a great experience! It can be fast-paced and intense at points, but it provides great learning opportunities through numerous case studies and projects. The professors are knowledgeable and provide great insight into real world applications of the learning material. I began with minimal coding experience, yet the course allowed me to learn the foundations of Python necessary for me to keep up with the core learning material. This is a course where you get out what you put in. There is plenty of additional learning material for one interested in diving deeper into the subjects. Support for the advisors is also available as well. 

The course provided by Great Learning was an excellent learning experience. I recently completed the Generative AI and NLP course, and I found Great Learning’s approach very helpful.The curriculum was well-organized and structured. The recorded content was detailed, clear, and came with useful examples and additional reference materials. Weekly live classes every weekend provided a great platform to clarify doubts directly with mentors and professors, who were always knowledgeable, patient, and quick to address any questions.Great Learning's program manager was very supportive throughout my learning journey. They ensured smooth access to resources, were always available, handled general queries effectively, and provided prompt responses, even offering 24/7 support when required.Overall, I found the learning experience engaging, supportive, and rewarding, and I highly recommend it to others interested in AI and ML.

The Postgraduate Program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning was an excellent learning experience that I would highly recommend to others. -The program did not skimp on the curriculum or the mathematical fundamentals. I walked away from the program with a firm understanding of the mathematics and concepts underlying AI/ML. As a result, I would rate this program as fairly challenging.-The program’s instructors did an excellent job breaking out highly challenging and/or abstract concepts and topics. The program’s instructors did offered the right mix of self-directed learning, student support/guidance, and instructor-directed learning and case studies.-Each module ended with a hands on project applying AI/ML techniques to real world problems. These projects were very time consuming and challenging, but well worth it.

The AI Business Development course at UT Austin’s McCombs School of Business (in collaboration with Great Learning) has been an incredible journey, equipping me with the skills and knowledge to thrive in the evolving world of AI-driven business. The curriculum is well-structured, practical, and highly relevant to today’s industry needs. A special thanks to Tania, my personal success mentor. Tania's unwavering support, guidance, and encouragement have been instrumental to my success. Her dedication made all the difference, and I couldn’t have asked for a better mentor! The faculty and support staff have also been outstanding. They're always available to provide insights and assistance, making this experience even more rewarding. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity and excited to apply what I’ve learned to drive innovation in my career. With my background in sales and ecommerce,, I plan to take my efficiency and expertise to the next level with the knowledge I have acquired. This program is truly a game-changer or anyone serious about AI and business transformation!

I joined AIML postgraduate program as beginner. I am impressed with the design of course structure which enhance the knowledge from core concepts to advanced algorithms to process Structured and unstructured data. Professors and mentors are highly skilled and helped in understanding real time business use cases with demos and case studies. I thanks one and all who supported and mentored making my AIML journey a great experience.

What I Liked

Great Content & Detail: The curriculum is extensive and well-structured, covering a range of AI and ML topics such as supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and reinforcement learning. The logical flow of content makes it easier to follow complex concepts.

Hands-on Learning: The program offers a mix of theoretical lectures and practical coding assignments, ensuring that learners develop a strong grasp of ML algorithms and frameworks.

Great Instructors: Faculty members are highly knowledgeable and explain complex AI/ML concepts effectively with real-world applications.

Mentored Learning Sessions: These sessions were useful for reinforcing concepts and resolving doubts. They provided an opportunity to discuss real-world applications and gain clarity on difficult topics.

Areas for Improvement

Steep Learning Curve: The program is intensive and requires a significant time commitment. The combination of coursework, assignments, and project deadlines can be overwhelming—especially for working professionals. A better distribution of workload across weeks would make the learning experience more manageable.

Project Deadlines vs. Work Commitments: Many learners, including myself, found it difficult to balance project deadlines with work and personal commitments. Extending project timelines or integrating buffer periods could help.

Mentor Quality: While mentorship sessions were valuable, the quality of mentors varied. Some were exceptionally good, while others lacked depth and clarity in their explanations. A more consistent selection of industry-experienced mentors would enhance the experience.

Dr. Kumar Muthuraman's Lectures: While the course had many great instructors, Dr. Kumar Muthuraman’s teaching style was difficult to follow. His lectures were not as engaging, making it challenging to grasp certain topics.

Shoutout to the Star of the ProgramA special mention goes to Tania, the Program Manager. From the start to the end of the course, she was instrumental in ensuring a smooth learning journey. Whether it was addressing concerns, providing timely updates, or helping navigate coursework, she was always available and responsive. Her efforts significantly enhanced the overall experience, making her the true star of the program.
Final VerdictThe PGP in AI and Machine Learning is an excellent program for those looking to develop expertise in AI and ML. The content is rich, hands-on, and relevant to real-world applications. While some aspects—like mentor consistency, lecture clarity, and workload distribution—could be improved, the program remains highly valuable.
